Amarabae: Lagos with 3000+ km landmass has up to 20million people living in it, that means that for example Enugu with up to 7000+km land mass can contain up to 40million people. Enugu alone can swallow all Igbos. The Overpopulation thrash is dead on arrival. you guys should just go we are already tired of you people go home and start your biafra economics |
Politics › Re: 32 Countries Of Less Than 40 Million People With Bigger Budget Than Nigeria. by jiangchu: 11:21am On Jun 18, 2017 |
Rossikki: China was no different from Africa in the 1970s. But simple economic policy changes brought about their transformation. They banned imports and looked inwards. For many years the average Chinese rode a bicycle. They said, ''we will not import cars till we produce our own''. They rejected IMF and World Bank prescriptions etc. The reason China COULD do this without the usual western backlash of sanctions, threats, sabotage etc, was because they are a SINGLE, HUGE country of 1.4 billion people with a SINGLE central govt.
China is what Africa could become in 20 years if it got rid of its nation-states, became one country with a single central government controlling all its resources. Many don't know this, but the AU charter actually specifies African political unification as the long-term objective of the organisation.
China's population is 1.4 billion, while Africa's is 1.1 billion. Technically, there's no reason Africa cannot be one country. China can pull more weight today because they are a single, impenetrable fortress, housing massive human and natural resources, under a single government's control and direction.
Because Africa is divided into 55 'independent' countries, a nation with no resources like Britain, can impose sanctions on resource-rich Zimbabwe, rather than AFRICA imposing sanctions on Britain, as it could.
Because Africa is divided, its nations compete to get foreign exchange by driving down the prices of their natural resources - copper, gold, diamonds, oil etc. African nations are price takers, and not price givers, on the international commodity markets.
In a united Africa, there would be only ONE PRICE for African cocoa. ONE PRICE for palm oil. ONE PRICE for copper. ONE PRICE for iron ore. etc etc. Today, there is a race to the bottom, in terms of pricing, by the various African nations, in order to attract international buyers. It should not be that way.
In a single African nation, the African govt wil demand and get high prices for all its commodities, ensuring a revolution in the living standards of the population.
No western country could exploit small, resource-rich areas like Liberia, Sierra Leone etc, or collude with local officials in Congo to cheat the people, if Africa were a single country like China. Or influence elections, like the French did in Ivory Coast.
Africa as a single country will automatically become a world power, by the sheer virtue of the resources it commands as a country. Can you imagine the power of a government that controls over half the world's supply of gold and diamonds? Plus healthy percentages of its copper, iron, rubber, timber, coal, and oil? PLUS has a single African currency? I mean, if the African government sneezes, the world will catch a cold.
The African government can DEMAND that all foreign trade involves direct technology transfer, to speed up African industrialisation.. Other countries will say ''Yes sir''. Can they refuse? Impossible.
That is the ONLY WAY Africa will become like China. Political consolidation. Centralisation of African power and authority. It's the way we should be headed if we are serious as a people. We cannot afford to be divided, being a resource-rich region. Political CONSOLIDATION is what gives power to having those resources.
The enormous resources that will come to be under the control of the African government will mean that they will possess a formidable military combining the various national forces. It can pursue heavy research in various scientific endeavours, including nuclear and space research. The sky would be the limit. oops i love yourv thought pattern.in what industry do you play. |

Osaki07: 2 simple reasons I stopped using an sd card
Sd card (aka "memory card) also known as external memory, of course is a common possession among Nigerians but such is not the same with other countries as they use modern features such as "Cloud storage" it's like..unfortunately Nigeria is still a bit far from adapting this trend. So in this post, I'm gonna explain to you the bads of using an sd card and hopefully convince you in using other easy storage option such as Cloud storage so first I'm gonna start with the disadvantages of an sd card.
1. It makes your phone lag.. Have you ever notice or have ever tried comparing your phone startup speed? (that is the time it takes to power on or off??) ..well if you have ever tried it, you'll notice that you phone boots(startup) faster without sd card especially those with bigger memory size such as 64,128,256GB..that's why flagship such as the Xiaomi mi6 and even the upcoming Essential PH-1 are been released without sd card slot.. so the whole point here is to tell you that, an sd card could cause your phone to lag or probably hang..also take note that it might not be noticeable in some phones with advance and the latest processors such as those with "snapdragon SoC" or recent "mediatek chipsets series".
2. virus attacks Of course almost everyone is aware of this ugly fact..sd card are very prone to virus and the only solution is to format it and in the process you tend to lose all your valuable data such as music, videos, pictures, e. t. c
so, yeah..that's all for now I hope you were a bit convinced p. s :I'm not saying you shouldn't buy a memory card, all I'm trying to say is that..next time when getting a new device, go for those with big internal memory so that you can avoid the stress of buying an sd card and also the consequences that comes with it. i reckon with you. of recent i lost my phone. and was full of regrets of the document and memories on it. |

Bossman: Programming is all about problem solving. So it goes with Math hand-in-hand. In general, those that are good in math tend to be more successful in programming. It comes natural to them. Not saying if you are not good in math you can't be successful in this field. However, if you really dislike math/problem solving, I believe you will have a hard time being a programmer. Having said that, the math course that's most relevant is 'Discrete Mathematics'. There is no "real" computer science curriculum that will not include this course. I am telling you - those that come into this field primarily for the money because it pays well, and do not have the affinity for problem solving, tend not to be successful doing it. I have worked with plenty of developers and interviewed quite a number of Junior developers, so I can attest to it.
One thing is certain - It pay quite well, and there is not too many of us (blacks) doing it. So if one can face it squarely, it is a good field to go into. bossman im currently learning C++ on my own. what would you suggest for me. |

MofePR: Dear E-Family,
This is to introduce myself to the thread as I start this PR journey. I had to read the thread from page 0 to 306. Took about a week. Time well spent. I have learnt a lot here. Found this thread at the threshold of committing to a masters programme that I would have to go and hustle the fees in OZ. Thanks to you all, Thurnbull would be paying for this after PR.
My special thanks and recognition to the founding father, bellongg, and every other person that has sacrificed and contributed to the development of this thread. I felt so happy when it was resolved to modify and continue this thread after the April changes by the Border Department. You guys are saving lives here. God bless you all.
Congratulations to all that have gotten the grant. And success to those at one stage or the other.
i gba dun your paroll
Sincerely MOFE PR (I want PERMANENT RESIDENCE ) |

The only issue they have is estimated billing/lack of pre-paid meter, which is a nationwide problem affecting all DISCOs.
