It doesn't take long. Not more than 24 hours. Sometimes,almost immediately. As soon as the seller see your cancellation notification, he/she will do the needful.
And if the seller doesn't accept order cancellation on time,still chat him up and be polite to him to help you cancel your order.
Me don cancel plenty orders on aliexpress. Most often, when the sellers refused to ship on time I will just cancel and said processing time to long.
And some times, if I broke and the seller never ship, I go just cancel my order make I get my refund.

Don't waste time. Go straight and cancel your order. Since you have chatted the seller, tell him you don't want the order anymore. Reasons for cancellation, just choose you don't want the order anymore. Aliexpress sellers are not mean and wicked like Nigerian sellers on jumia and konga.
You will get your full refund.
Even if you didn't chat the seller up and you cancel your order, he/she will still agree to cancel your order.

Samsung phones don't have 2nd resale values cus a lot of people will be pricing rubbish price cus they think they can use that money u want to sell your second hand Samsung phone to buy a brand new infinix, gionee and tecno phones or better still xiaomi or umidigi. Eg, if you buy a Samsung phone of 60k now and u want to sell it so urgent, people will be pricing 20k or las las 25-30k. So now tell me where is the 2nd resale value here?
