May God bless the poster above me! Who are those up there' niniola, niyola, emma nyra and co? All had how many hit songs, each had one one, imagine. Yemi Alade is number one, she's even more talented than the so called Tiwa savage... I rest my case!
lool guy!! U are correct, Emma Nyra does not have any hit song likewise Victoria Kimani, i thought she's Kenyan sef.

My dear, Yemi Alade is already at the top, so need of taking over. She already had her spot.

Left to me, i will say only Seyi Shay & Lola Rae are the strong contenders in dat list. Niyola is very talented but her kind of music isn't mainstream in Nigeria.

I dont really know Niniola. And what is Emma Nyra and Victoria Kimani doing on that list?

Left to me, the female that will take over is not even on dat list. The least underrated artistes always come out BIGGER.

CelebritiesWhich Female Artiste Will Fill The Tiwa Savage Void In 2015? by jiggaz(op): 11:02pm On Jan 28, 2015
I just saw this article on NotJustOk....

In 2015, we will see less of Tiwa Savage
when compared to previous years because
she and her husband are expecting their first
baby. This means that she may release some
singles but her public presence, music videos,
shows and outdoor activities will reduce
significantly; she may not be physically up to
it.
This leaves a big void in the industry this
year and begs the question, who will fill the
Tiwa Savage void in 2015. What would she
have to do to get our attention and create
impact in Nigerian Music. Can she do it in
2015? I don’t know who SHE is, but there is
a massive opportunity and I believe it can be
taken advantage of only in 2015, because
Tiwa will be right back in 2016.
Who do you think will fill the void? Vote
below and let us know.

1) NINIOLA

2) NIYOLA

3) LOLA RAE

4) SEYI SHAY

5) VICTORIA KIMANI

6) EMMA NYRA

This is the list NotjustOk came up with. What do u guys think? lol

CelebritiesIs Emma Nyra Jinxed? The Reason She Did Not Blow by jiggaz(op): 4:19pm On Jan 27, 2015
I dont know what is wrong with Emma Nyra. She has a good voice, signed to a big record label and is talented, yet all is not well with her career. Her label have spent millions of naira trying to promote her. They shoot good good videos for her, she receives good airplay from mainstream media, she even collaborated with Davido on that her ELELE song yet she refused to blow.

I like her songs but one thing i notice is dat Nigerians do not like her. Check out her YouTube videos comments or the comments on her songs on music blogs, Nigerians geh bad mouth lol.

So Nairalanders am asking, what is wrong with Sister Emma, Is her case Unique? Is it from from her Village? or is she Jinxed? I know her label must be worried. Abeg make we chuk mouth for the matter.

CelebritiesTop 10 Highest Paid Entertainers In Nigeria For 2014 by jiggaz(op): 5:23pm On Jan 23, 2015
I saw dis in a blog

Nigerian entertainers are not well known to folks
with little or no interest in Africa, but on the
continent for those who value good music or
great comedy then they’ll know most of these
artistes/entertainers. But popularity doesn’t drive
home the point on who earns what. These are
Nigeria’s top 10 earning entertainers - based on
professional/performance fees and endorsement
deals - entertainers as of 2014.
Criteria used for arriving at and assessing the
earnings of these artistes are record sales,
performance fees, endorsement deals and
estimated royalties and commissions earned from
artistes signed to their record labels, but not
included is their net worth in terms of assets or
liabilities.
Don Jazzy – earned at least N480 million/$3
million
After his split with erstwhile business partner
d’banj in 2012, Don Jazzi’s strides as CEO of
Nigeria’s leading record label Mavin records has
seen him earning mega bucks from producing
massive hits for some of Nigeria’s leading acts to
earning endorsements and royalties plus a
generous cut from gigs of artistes signed under
his record label including Tiwa Savage and Dr.
Sid. In 2014 Don Jazzy earned more money that
any Nigerian entertainer and is therefore Nigeria’s
richest artiste for the year.
P-square – earned at least N460 million/$2.8
million
Known for always having sold out concerts and
albums the duo of Peter and Paul (twin brothers)
earn an astonishing $200,000 per gig when
performing outside Nigeria excluding other
expenses plus massive endorsements from some
leading companies in Nigeria. They could have
earned much more but for Ebola fears from the
global community and minor feuds among the
brothers that make up their very successful record
label – square records.
Davido – earned over N440 million/$2.7 million
Davido had another very successful year in 2014
after an equally successful 2013 but perhaps
could have made even more if he had a more
proactive management team. His efforts paid off
with a few endorsement deals but his impressive
performance fee of between N5 million and N10
million per show makes him the second highest
earning artiste based on performance fees after
P-square.
Wizkid – made at least N430 million/$2.5
million
Talented and very fashionable Ayo Ibrahim
Balogun aka Wizkid is well loved and received by
many Nigerians across diverse cultural and social
backgrounds but especially with the youth. He’s
the biggest celebrity endorsement earner
pocketing a cool N120 million for being a brand
ambassador for Pepsi, MTN and Hennessey with
at least N310 million from gigs (could have been
higher if he owned his record label).
Tiwa Savage – earned over N390 million/$2.3
million
Nigeria’s most successful female artiste of our
time is also a big earner pocketing N5 million per
show which is almost twice weekly fetched her
N290 million and endorsement deals with MTN,
Forte Oil and Pepsi which earned her at least
another N100 million. Her earnings could have
been more save that she’s signed to Mavin
records which gets a cut on every gig she
performs.
Flavour – earned over N350 million/$2.2 million
A hugely popular and successful artiste with his
own night club and bar, endorsement deals, sold
out shows he personally organizes and
performance and appearance fees makes flavor a
very rich man.
Kcee – earned over N300 million/$1.8 million
Five Star Entertainment boss is a money maker
any day. He understands showbiz like it’s what
he’s born to do relying on nothing but pure street
sense and talent of course Kcee - real name
Kingsley Okonkwo - makes money as if it’s
plucked from trees mostly from shows he
organizes himself but also from celebrity
endorsement, petroleum marketing and real
estate. He’s probably worth more than what I put
up as 2014 earnings.
Banky W – N280 million/$1.75 million
WIzkid is his biggest money making machine
although this savvy business man knows how to
turn small opportunities into big money spinners.
He earns at least 50% on every gig for all his
artistes and is a silent money maker – Nollywood
watch out for him in 2015.
Clarence Peters – earned over N270 million/$1.7
million
Quietly making millions without being noticed, too
bad our eyes caught him, Clarence owns two very
successful companies Capital Dream Pictures
(which shoots most high budget music videos for
Nigerian artistes) and Capital Hill Records (which
have Chidinma and Ill bliss signed on). Both of
these companies fetch him millions of Naira on a
monthly basis.
Tu Face – N260 million/$1.6 million
He should have made much more than this in
2014 judging from his antecedents as a music
legend from Nigeria but his latest album –
Ascension - till date is the bestselling Nigerian
album ever to be released to the international
market plus N8 million per show as performance
fee he doesn’t really need endorsement deals to
rock the top earners chart in the Nigerian
entertainment industry.

I have to rewrite this article again cos of the many requests by Nairalanders when i made mention of it in my last article.

In 2010, Mocheddah was the poster girl of the Nigerian music industry. She was the biggest female artiste in Nigeria. She released her single IF YOU WANT ME which made it to the music charts coupled with the crispy clear video by Clarence Peters. She then released KO MA ROLL and her FRANCHISE CELEBRITY album which catapulted her to stardom. She was gaining airplay from all the mainstream media in Nigeria. She won the Channel O Music Award for THE MOST GIFTED FEMALE and also MTV Africa Music Award for THE BEST NEW ACT. Mocheddah practically became one of the hottest music stars in Nigeria. Every female artiste then was looking up to her, Wizkid was relatively unknown then.

Then came 2011, she released another single SEE ME ft Phenom and it became an instant hit. Every mainstream media in Lagos and around the country was playing both the song and the video. Mocheddah was on a roll playing various shows around the country and beyond. She was smiling to the bank all through.

Meanwhile, a new female artiste was creating industry buzz with a single KELE KELE LOVE and that was TIWA SAVAGE. People were captivated by her sultry voice and delivery and we were like WHO IS THIS GIRL? She released her video and peeps were wowed. She then released LOVE ME LOVE ME which went ahead to become a hit.

After the SEE ME single by Mocheddah she didn't release any song again for the whole of 2011 and that was where she started failing. Cos the Number One rule in the industry is that you have to be consistent in other to retain your spot. Then came 2012 and Mocheddah practically disappeared from the industry, no song, nothing and she also left Knighthouse her Label.

Meanwhile, Tiwa Savage have been creating a buzz with, her songs, then towards the end of 2011,she released her controversial LOVE ME LOVE ME video which solidified her place in the industry. She took advantage of the vacuum created by Mocheddah for a Powerful Female and she occupied the throne. Tiwa practically became the most talked about female in the industry coupled with her powerful stage craft and Beyonce-like dance moves. Her signing to Mavin Records grounded. her throne.

In September 2012, Mocheddah reappeard and released COMING FOR YOU ft May D, a very catchy song. But somehow, the media and Nigerians slept on the song. Then came April 2013 and Mocheddah came back fully to the industry and released DESTINAMBARI ft Phyno and it became a hit. But by then Tiwa Savage have become a Queen Mother and the most powerful female artiste in Nigeria. So Mocheddah had to start from the scratch again. She released a couple of singles after that, with good videos too but it didn't hit the charts.

INDUSTRY RULE NUMBER 1 - Never you leave the industry just like dat after hitting it big cos the Nigerian fans are not loyal.
To all upcoming artistes, learn from Mocheddah.
