To be candid, NFF DISRESPECTED Finidi George with the demotion, plus his salary was to be REDUCED from N15m to N5m if he continued on the job.

There is no way he will continue after the press release HUMILIATION.

He was never qualified to coach the SE, I don't know how Nff came to the conclusion of giving him the job.
I wanted Finidi for the job when it became obvious NFF wanted a local coach, but was disappointed that NFF didnā€™t do any interview even after throwing the job open to the public. Iā€™m sure if they had interviewed all interested candidates thereā€™s no way theyā€™d have picked Mr Finidi

Hello Mister man. Under rohr he started every game in afcon 2019 after replacing Shehu Abdulahi at RB against Burundi. I know you don't like him but coming here to malign him is not fair at all
heā€™s a CB by trade now read what you type AFTER REPLACING SHEHU ABDULAHI AT RB, which means he only got to play because of Abdulahiā€™s injury

true, at least most of these grade C European coaches have proved they can get us playing decently against African opponents, at least Iā€™ll take that over what we got with Eguavoen Siasia and Oliseh

I see a lot short gigs. Several backwater league titles. And an AFCON bronze several of our indigenous coaches have matched or even bettered.
Just a journey man experienced but lacking the profile good enough for a country like Nigeria. We can do far better.
won Spanish division 2 twice won Romanian league Afcon bronze, not a huge profile but if you can appoint Finidi and also have Amunike name whispered around the job then this is several steps an upgrade

The new coach would need to be a bit strict and brutal ,

If I were to b d new coach,I will make sure all dis content creators we parade as players need to sit up or Dey re shipped out of d team; reduce / eliminate unnecessary interviews(camp rules will b tightened a bit)

Search for more dedicated players that re ready to spill deir last sweat on d pitch(we av so many players inching to be invited to showcase what Dey can offer)ā€¦presently we av too many comfortable, unprofessional and unproductive players in our team. That needs to stop šŸ›‘ .
for a start the next coach need to throw Awaziem away, since 2017 or so he has never been a starter despite playing under 4 different coaches. His spot should be given to a younger and more productive defender

These two are very good candidates with respect to the personnel on ground.

Renard and Pedro Goncalves. But they may be overlooked cos we all know how those oldies in Glass house got loose screws in their skulls
Olympics is just around the corner, no way Renard is leaving France

I have a feeling that Finidi might start Onuachu against Benin just to spite his critics, based on his post match rants
šŸ˜† he wonā€™t, thereā€™s a World Cup ticket on the line, personally Iā€™ll start Moffi at CF then bench Lookman for Boniface. Lookman played on Sunday, travelled on Tuesday and played 90min yesterday, he can come in later in the game.

Finidi used osayi a rightback on the left and tanimu a center back on the right. What happened to the two home based fullbacks he invited to the national team
you donā€™t want to fill the team with too many debutants, you canā€™t do too many chop and change ahead of a crucial game

"Allow you do your job" has cost you a win in your first real official match. This mentality will not take him far in SE.

You dumped a very top player in Boniface that is ability is not in doubt on the bench and started a Onuachu that fans have never liked his football with SE and you have the temerity to tell fans to Allow you do your job. Nigeria coaches and that statement is like 5 and 6.

You started kelechi that is terribly off form...I can't remember if Kelechi has played upto 4 matches this year 2024 with Leicester City.

You took Tanimunu to play central defence, and Bassey to play left back so as to please your bosses that want to sell players and when it boomerang on you, you switched Tanminu ro right back, Osayi to left back and turned SA to prime Brazil in the first half.

Finidi is not the manager that will qualify SE to the world cup. Directionless NFF should relive him now before it's too late...too many elementary decision making in playing selection and formation.

I predicted maximum 2 point in the two matches because of all what I have seen and observe from the end of Afcon mid February to the 30th of April 2024.

SE will not beat Benin with Finidi in charge...he does not have it all...too inexperienced. He is already cracking.

The NFF are the ones meant to provide the facilities and infrastructure for VAR and insist on VAR..

It is the incompetence of the NFF that there was no VAR in this match.

So it will be foolish of the NFF to file a petition just to hide their incompetency.
tell me one match that have used VAR in this qualifying series šŸ¤¦šŸæ

No they did not, what happened when the result was in balance, the better team dominated, reset the match and you'll get the same result
they didnā€™t get the result they wanted, why didnā€™t they just park the bus from the start? At 1-1 they were still coming but we also played with more aggression and better use of the ball

the first half was horrendous but the second half was much better, itā€™s not unusual for a coachā€™s first game
