Italy U21 international. Good luck with that.

I think an invite to the super eagles can be more tempting than playing bit-part for Italy U-21

Here we go!
Voting of Members of the Nomination Committee
Gentlemen and ladies of the thread, it is time for us to vote for those who will stand as representatives of this thread and partake in the selection of award categories and award nominees.
This year, the nomination committee will be made up of at least 7 members: myself, icon4s who pioneered the award will continue as an honorary member of the committee and at least 5 monikers from this thread.
Every member of this thread is eligible to vote and be voted for. But let's keep in mind that this isn't a popularity contest. Vote for those you believe have the knowledge and passion for Nigerian football.
Here's the rule for voting:
1) You're to vote for 5 monikers from this thread to join the committee;
2) Vote the monikers in order of preference, from top to bottom;
3) Points will be awarded to each moniker you vote for. Your first nominee gets 5 point, the second gets 4 points, the third gets 3 points, fourth gets 2 points and fifth gets 1 point.
4) At the end of the voting process, the five monikers with the most points will join the committee;
5) In the event that two or more monikers are tied on points, they will all be added to the committee, as the goal is to have as many monikers to contribute to the process.
6) You're allowed to nominate yourself 😉

Voting closes on Wednesday, November 8th 2023, 10pm Nigerian time.

Thank you.

Stephen Keshi was like a god in the national team set-up for a very long period and he played crucial role in securing Nigeria's place in that world cup.
Kanu overstayed his welcome and should have long retired before the 2010 world cup.
Yobo was almost a nuisance in the Eagles camp even before the 2013 AFCON where he was the NFF spy. He unfairly took Leon Balogun's place on the 2014 roster.
For Ahmed Musa, he's becoming a big joke and should be advised to leave the team.
Balogun didn’t make 2014 World Cup because of injury, nobody took his place

Which factor be that? Me no dey forget easily sometimes ooo. grin

Thanks for following the channel, much love.

Uzoho was fantastic in the first leg against Ghana and he was looking good against Saudi and Mozambique until disaster struck.

Who was looking at Ndidi when he was making mistakes up and down last season I wasn't a fan of his bombastic side eye even though I did see the comedy in it.

If anything what Uzoho did was a stroke of genius. Instead of focusing on his mistakes, we are talking about which of us the white man would take to Europe grin
so how do you feel now that he has apologized for the post?

Make we see November first. If Uzoho is starting those games then we can conclude
Under Rohr, Francis Uzoho started 51.52% of matches for which he was in the squad. Under Peseiro, he has started 100% – he has never sat on the bench with the Portuguese in charge (not counting the unofficial first Algeria friendly).

Dread it, run from it: Uzoho starts at AFCON. courtesy: Solace Chukwu

Yes you are right but Sodick probably made a good first impression with JP, recall he worked with him before his long term injury. JP has shown that he prefers a devil that he knows to an angel he doesn't know.
besides Afcon is less than 3 month, World Cup qualifier starts next month, no time to start testing new players

Napoli have formally approached Antonio Conte today. Discussions will follow with direct talks to understand if he can be the right man to replace Rudi Garcia.

No final decision made yet as there are many crucial points to discuss before advancing with Conte.

If you have taken the time to read how Royal Antwerp play, you will conclude that we don't have wingers with skill sets that can do what Balikwisha does for Antwerp.

As far as Balikwisha is fit, he will always start games.
Except our wingers improve in those skill sets.
it’s true, no winger in the world can do what this your biliki can do, not Saka, not Salah not Diaz

Piss poor may not be the right clause to describe Ejuke's decision making, you may rather use not as quick as it should be.

This is anchored in the fact that Ejuke is not yet the team player that he should be, If he sorts out his team play, his decision making will improve tremendously. Ejuke makes movements that can distort his team's attacking structure, this is not good, it shows a player bent on his own ideas (this is understandable if he has been given the free role, but he hasn't)

Ejuke has shown in many occasions that his decision making is not as piss poor. It is normal for Chidera Ejuke to top the assists chart at his his club whenever he has a good run at starting games.
I have never seen Ejuke pass the ball to a player in a tight space - this is good decision making, rather he is one who receives the ball in a tight space - wiggles himself out and gives the ball to an unmarked player, which will sometimes see him switching plays with long passing just to get to a free player.
Ejuke PR officer, every man with weytin dey do am

People are divided over okocha performance in this friendly. Dunno why. I'll rather say Da Bull and Tijani were wack that day. They didn't play as a team in 1st half too.
we were poor in 98, right into the World Cup. Look beyond the goals we scored against Spain, we struggled in that game

This one is fairly recent na. Friendly match between naija and Netherlands as build up to France 98. Them thrash us. We also played friendly with Germany.

That Dutch team was brimming with talents all over. Bergkamp's goal against Argentina in the Q/final and Kluivert's header against Brazil in the semi final are some of the most delicious goals ever scored at a WC.
you should check Mexico vs Italy 2002 World Cup, Bogheti’s (not sure about the spelling) header is too delicious

Fantastic list in my opinion!!!! What's happening to Zaidu? Also is Aribo's invitation justified? Truth be told he put in a good shift against Guinea Bissau or those guys we beat in their country 3-2 or so?
Zaidu is injured and I honestly think we should drop Aribo until he can sort out his club issues
