We gave Obi money. When he was governor of Anambra, he took allocation from Nigeria purse. From there, he went to stash looted funds in Pandora offshore.

Now he is building substandard borehole to seek for votes which explained why his name is being written on the borehole. Abi you think he is doing all this because he love Dan Fodio and the North?.

Is Babangida a private person?

Na ur papa give him money. Nigerian purse! F**king idiots

Family / Re: Married Nigerian Ladies No Longer Take Shit From Their Husbands (Pictures) by JimD(m): 10:36pm On Apr 10
I don't want to be tribalistic. But this is something more rampant with Ibo ladies nowadays. You'll see the average Ibo lady has lost regard for culture and is more likely to be a "feminist". As Alakija rich reach, she stood by the husband until he shot himself in the foot. It's not very rampant with Hausas and Yorubas. I almost got married to an Ibo lady. She was a very good cook, very good sx, everything. But you can tell she will opt out anytime the thrill leaves. People like Okonjo should sit these young generation of Ibo ladies down. It's practically getting out of hand there. It's a recipe for loneliness and regret down the line.

Asiwaju Tinubu is always ahead of his mediocre political opponents.

His political opponents, the naysayers and unpatriotic elements are so clueless and filled with so much negativity and bigotry that they had no clue, didn't see this surprise coming that this is part of the reasons he lifted the sanctions.

Asiwaju will always be ahead of you. $1.3 billion inflow is huge! So much jobs to be created and Niger Republic can now be using mostly our ports in Lagos including the Lekki deep seaport, to import all their national import needs and sea freight. Congrats Nigeria.

God bless you my dear brilliant, visionary and hardworking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!

Politics / Re: CBN’s 22.5% Interest Rate Will Worsen Economic Situation – Peter Obi by JimD(m): 1:06pm On Feb 29
omohayek:

Actually, there is such a target, but in my opinion it is still far too high - Cardoso is aiming for a 21.4% inflation rate.

https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/nigeria-central-bank-targets-inflation-decline-214-governor-2024-01-24/

A much more reasonable number would be in the 3-5% range, and to make this target more credible, the CBN charter could be amended to set this as its primary goal, which must be achieved over a fixed time range.

https://www.imf.org/external/pubs/ft/fandd/basics/72-inflation-targeting.htm

Inflation rate in Nigeria has always averaged 13%. Africa's average inflation rate is about 9.8%. We can pick textbook policies but we must make them fit our own situation. https://www.focus-economics.com/country-indicator/nigeria/inflation/#

But 20+ is too high for a target. I would expect they bring inflation down to 13-15% and then start easing rates

Obi is wrong here. This was a long overdue step. But there should be a set target. After that target is met, they can gradually ease rates. There should be a revision of tax rates also and streamlined or digital taxation for the working populace. This in combination with reduced cost of governance, improved security and more mechanized farming will get the job done

All these APC diehards are paid media plants. They are doing their jobs. Politics / Solution To Nigeria's Economic Crisis by JimD(m): 11:35am On Feb 14
The only solution now to Nigeria's economic woes is to raise interest rates across the board to curb inflation and then later bring it down in 2-3 years time. So Dangote and other billionaires must be taxed at like 40-50%+ rate. The government should find a balance at which it's not chasing away investors but still capable of surviving. Bank lending rate should be increased by the CBN so they can charge people trading in dollars more. Naira-dollar rate should be pegged and the costs for that should be borne by people holding currencies in dollars at all banks. BDCs and Dom's should be charged fees for withdrawal of dollars that will discourage dollar withdrawals. The solution is not restricting Dom accounts to naira, else you kill the economy further as you have less Forex. And employ people who are economically sound to key policy positions like the CBN. The trial and error system of running govt needs to stop.

Long term solution is to revert the money gained from subsidizing petrol to subsiding farming and improving security. Create awareness on ACGFS and other programs to make farming attractive (if interest rates can be 4-5% more people will go into farming). And revive state-managed agricultural programs in partnership with organizations like Bill and Melinda gates and other private organisations that fund agricultural and research project. Then reduce unnecessary government expenses.

If you can understand economics, you'll see why Goldman Sachs discouraged Tinubu's hasty moves when he came into power. Obviously, we have a president that has no understanding of economics.

Business / Re: What exactly Is The Benefit Of Floating The Naira? by JimD(m): 11:17am On Feb 14
For people saying it will improve exports, for a country that's imports-centric. Floating the naira was a poor move. Any gains we make from exports is eaten up by inflation and we still lose. It's not wise because our current rate of inflation is like the 16th or 17th highest in the world. There has always been federal reserve (CBN) rates and private market (floating) rates for currencies anywhere in the world. Now making your floating rate equal to federal reserve rate in a state of high inflation like we have will inadvertently be catastrophic.

It's more like a loan. But the government already plans to default. Why extend payment period to 99 years instead of 50? $27.9 billion is too much debt to take on as a struggling country. I just hope they engage the best lawyers on this deal. But if this is actualized, it'd bring a lot of development in the south south.

I used to think like this. It's all Nollywood and Hollywood programming. I used to argue that love was the most important thing in dating or marriage. I was dead wrong. Fact is, it sets you up for the most extreme form of manipulation. Love is good. But it's not the most important thing in marriage. In fact, it's healthIer for love
and other forms of emotional connection to grow with time instead of coming straight out the box. Most of our "love at first sight" couples are divorcees now

Even if this story is true, Ajoke Joshua was adopted by TB Joshua as a baby and raised by him in his household. He is the only father she knows and has every right to call the man who adopted her, gave her his surname, and raised her so.
She is as much his daughter as any biological daughter

But wether she is his biological daughter was never the issue, the issue is if the sexual molestation allegations against women she confirmed are true

If this was not true, then how do we believe any allegation she made or of people that attested to the fact of knowing her to be TB Joshua's daughter?
