Well I grew up in Ebute metta and left there some years ago. It's a decent place and it borders Lagos Island and Surulere to the west; Costain (Apapa road). It borders Shomolu and Yaba to the east. . .

But word of advice: there's so much news of cult fights emanating from ebute metta these days, although its not all the time they fight... but it does have its own security concerns. The best time to go out to work should be 6 am and enter your house by 8 pm to avoid unnecessary issues.

This information need to reach the people in power. The crime rate in Ebute Metta is about to cause the same instability as seen in the north-eastern part of the country. If measures are not taken this minute, we will not be able to handle this in the coming years.

Youths are dying on a daily basis, people are being killed in our streets. Guns and machetes are freely used zap the lives of the people in this area. We can't move freely in this area without being harassed by these men. We're afraid, we need help. Machetes are used to scatter the bones of our youths. Parents are threatened. We need the help of the Lagos State government to quell this crisis.

The funniest part about the whole is that, the police isn't doing anything to stop these killings. They've kept mum. Over 20 people have been killed in the past 1month. We need security forces to help us and quell these killings. This is the season when many people will be at home, even the ones that are not based in Lagos. We don't want blood in our street during this season. Please we need your help.

Two people were killed this morning. This boys were too young to die. Just 1pm today, they came back again to machete another boy. The whole area has gone agog. We don't know the next person they'll attack. We want the peace that this community is know for to come back. We need the help of the governor to send security forces to help this community. Lagos Mainland local government is now a place of terror and bloodshed. This is not boko haram, these people are young and blood tasty.
