Point noted ChiefJusticeFuc: Volume has everything to do with it
That recepticle that feeds 4 will need much more liquid than that serving 2 before it gets to fill glass 4. |

has nothing to do with the sizes b5ive: Did u notice the jar leading to the 4th glass is bigger, glass2 will get filled b4 glass 4 definitely. |

ChiefJusticeFuc: Wrong.
For Glass 4 to be filled , the recepticle must maintain a much higher volume than that serving 2. Lol volume has nothing to do here |

johnero353: Anyway, If I can know the volume of the glasses, as well as the volume flow rate; I'll precisely know the one that will get filled first...
Hope that's sensible nah! that would be redundant information - those are not needed |

CALCULUS16: 2 would be fill first, pressure depend on height, look at the case of 2, the vessel that collect the water is small when compared to that of 4, hence the faster the vessel would reach the conduit going to glass 2, and being that the vessel connected to 2 is higher than the rest, atmospheric pressure and potential energy of the water above the orifice linking to glass 2 would hasten it to become full very quicker than the rest.
Look at how big the vessel linking glass 3 and 4, look at how small the vessel linking glass 1 and 2, before the fluid reaches the orifice of 3 and 4 ,the fluid in vessel linking 1 and 2 would have reached the orifice linking glass 2 it has nothing to do with the volumes of those containers |

rufai1440: no from physics surface area of the cup above 4 will attract more pressure that will allow no 4 first for no 2 the capillary btw d cups above will sluggish the pressure for it so it will be 4321. LOL. i like your analogy, but the surface area of a container doesnt affect the fluid pressure at a point. you should be familiar with the formula p=-rgh i agree with your answer though, 4321. |

kingchris30: it is neither 2 nor 4, the cup that will fill first actually has no number on it No. 4 will fill before it. |

ClassicMan202: I know, I am talking about the rate at which it flows from the bottle. that doesnt affect anything. Only that in a real situation most of the wine would spill and only very little would go through the first conduits. |

abc115: conduits are the same Exactly. its a steady flow process at the intermediary containers. rate of Input = rate of output |

onyechez: At the left hand side the elevation is higher than the right hand side of the set up so there's more pressure on that side than right hand side of glass 4 Secondly: glass 2 on the side of higher elevation has a small volume so it will take less time to fill than glass 4. The answer is : 2 Huh! No o. first, atmospheric pressure increases with depth, p=-rgh (the negative there shows negative height, thats dept). secondly, the problem has nothing to do with the volumes of those intermediary containers. in the formular above; p = pressure r = density of fluid g = gravity h = height (and is negative) |

Agwaso: Both of you are correct from the perspective you are looking at it. The question is not complete because as we do not know ratio of the sizes of the jug above.
The jug for cup 2 is smaller but at higher altitude, while the jug for cup 4 is bigger and wider but at a lower altitude. We need to have the diffent heights and the sizes to determine this. Not necessarily. everything needed to solve the problem is given. |

senchibi: Just by saying you don't understand him well means you're an arts student. But I think 2 will get filled up first. There is a saying; if the lion says to the goat, "no matter what, the lion does not eat grass", the goat should say to the lion, "no matter what, the goat does not eat flesh". |

the volumes of the containers have nothing to do with anything onyechez: You're very correct. The volume is one measured to be considered. |

pyrex23: what is the formula for pressure? The higher, the more the pressure in the case of this problem, the pressure we are considering is atmospheric pressure. and atmospheric pressure increases with depth. that means the lower a point in the system, the higher the pressure at that point. |

Loris576: i don't seem to understand you well but from my own humble opinion, the cup before entering cup 2 is small, whereas the other is larger. So looking at it critically you'll see it's 2 that will be filled first.
I am open to ideas Okay, lets create a mental picture. when you start pouring the the wine, the wine will be at the same level everywhere. what that means is that in all the pipes and cups it enters, it will still be on the same level. but when there is an opening (a pipe) the level of the wine will stop increasing everywhere until the container where that opening leads to has come to the same level as the others. then they will all start increasing together. from what i just said now, when cup 4 is getting full, the level of the wine will stop rising in that small container between 1 and 2, till 4 is full, then it will continue rising. so the answer is cup 4 then 3, 2 and lastly 1. |

Happy new year everyone,
Please I need help,
I was wondering if its possible to bring different blender files into one workspace.
What I mean is, for example, can I create a model of a man and a house in two separate files and then bring the two of them together side-by-side in a single file? |

IMAliyu: A discussion with another Flat earther I had a while back.
Went through the headache of making a 3D model and tried to match the size of a man relative to the size of the earth here.
If you have a rebuttal, make it here, I don't want to disrupt that thread again. Happy new year boss, I've been working with blender for some time now and its a really great software. One problem though, I was wondering if its possible to bring different blender files into one workspace. What I mean is, for example, can I create a model of a man and a house in two separate files and then bring the two of them together side-by-side in a single file? |

Culture › One Thing I Hope To Achieve This Year by Jimhickey(op): 12:12am On Jan 01, 2021 |
Happy new year fellow Nigerians,
There are specific goals and targets which some of us have set for ourselves to achieve this year. What I have set for myself is a rather unusual one, but a big one for me. It is short, and simple. I want to learn to speak Etsakor this year. That is my dialect, spoken by the Etsakor people of Edo State. So far I've been an only-English person, but I hope to change that in 2021.
One major challenge I have had so far is not having people around me with whom I'd speak in my language. I hope to make new friends in 2021, people from Edo state, from my village Fugar, people with whom I'd have more discussions about my village, the customs and traditions, and get to understand my root and language better.
I hope I'd come back here by the end of 2021 to share my testimony.
Happy New Year |

I've been trying to learn Afemai now for a long time but to no avail, I believe it is because I don't have people around me to interact with in the language. I need an Afemai friend. If you understand the language or you know someone who does kindly reply |
