This thing is an absolute waste of funds..just that the money isn't much and I have been watching it basically for free in my room(maybe their trial period) This is worse than anything u can think of..the quality is absolute crap...I wonder where people get their own 4k quality from..most channels ain't HD.

Sports channel suddenly goes blank when watching live matches and never comes on until the match is over..I have used this rubbish for one week now and I'm already unplugging and setting up my DStv again.

I agree 888 overheats a lot..reason I didn't even consider op9 series upgrade. Those reddit users are obsessed with Fullscreen display..as if I even notice this hole punch here..besides the resolution 7pro has nothing on 8. The leap in performance alone 855-865 is crazy..I was reluctant going from 7t to 8 but now I realize Qualcomm got everything right in 865 everything runs noticeably smoother plus the upgradable GPU drivers...agreed 8pro>>9

Ok. Nice insights, hence the creation of this thread. Well, the users on reddit may choose to differ on their views on 7pro. From what i have seen Oneplus 8pro is better than One plus 9. Oneplus 8pro has better screen 513ppi vs 402, ip68 waterproofing can only be found on oneplus 9pro & 9t, better battery life (SD888 over heats & thats not good for the battery)4500mah vs 4510mah, camera has ois slightly better hardware on oneplus 8pro. Its just a better phone to my opinion. To me SD 888 is powerful but not much of an upgrade to SD865, they both handle same tasks with ease.

7pro is not better than 8, 8pro isn't better than 9 ..I have been using one plus since op5 to 6t to 7t and now currently using 8..just say there's no point buying a op8 if you're already using 7pro..heck 7pro is sd855 not even 855+..
I used to get overheating prompts on 7t playing pubg 90fps for long sessions but on this 8 my temp is always below 37degrees..like the phone no even d feel the game sef. 865 is waaaay better than 855

You will stand out if you do. If you can, go for the pro version. Apart from using a year old processor the pro is always better than the next gen model. For example the 7pro is better than 8, 8pro is better than 9...

I have retweeted on my not so new Twitter account. This madness has got to stop, the only Tecno device I ever used was q1 when my Galaxy s2 gave up that very day I felt the charging port was very lose for a new phone...3 weeks in I'm visiting carlcare so much ppl mistake me for an employee..well I only bought cos I wasn't financially capable ATM to get Galaxy s3 so the money no pain me much about 19k at the time.

After my nth visit to carlcare I just drop the phone for shelf imagine bending in all sorts of positions to get your phone to charge....everything about that phone screamed poor quality even the qwerty keyboard no d disappoint at all. (Stiff modafvcka). I switched to Xperia zr the coming days...been using all sorts of crazy phones since then (I still blame myself for getting a Tecno device cos I know better) but at the time it was the only cheap option....


Fast forward years later my inlaw wants to get a phone for my lil sis I suggest redmi note 5 at the time...nobody listens cos Tecno is a household name..they got her a spark 4 (it's been misery all the way) .. the experience was so bad my sis didn't even listen when I suggested a redmi note 8 pro over her Galaxy a30s for 88k (apparently she no wan hear stories)


I'm all good with it tho since it ain't Tecno and she doesn't play heavy games like I do plus Samsung support.

Tecno has to upgrade or pack up and leave.

SD 821 can only run pubg at smooth + high and hd + high graphics, try getting v30 up if you really want to enjoy pubg (smooth + extreme).

Got the note 7 4gb /64gb yesterday thru mizik, updated to miui 10.3.6 over WiFi then suddenly WiFi wouldn't stay on, even xender disconnects...tried changing a couple settings checked Reddit, XDA and some forums saw a couple ppl having same issues

Just kept turning WiFi assistant on and off and rebooted device twice WiFi started working again. Looking for a permanent fix just in the case it happens again

I personally have 3 umidigi A3 series in constant/daily use, and i can tell you, none suffers from heating up issues......

The major cause of heated devices, is from the archaic/more than excessive capacity pinging from users latching on........
