Politics / Kano Gov, NNPP Elected Officers React To Internal Crisis Rocking The Party by Jimsonjaat96(m): 9:46pm On Oct 17, 2023
The New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) elected officers have reportedly expressed their displeasure at the internal crisis rocking the party.

According to report exclusively made available to News Bulletin Nigeria, the displeased members, Kano State Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf included, believe that the crisis could have been shielded and treated 'in-house'.

"Report reaching new Nigeria People's Party Headquarters indicates that most of her elected members of the national assembly including the kano state governor may not be happy with the avoidable wrangling in the party. It is alleged that the Governor and most of the state and national assembly members of the party are not happy over the irresponsible and disrespectfulness of the defunct NWC members of the party.

"They wondered where they got the power to pronounce the expulsion of the founder of the party that gave them the luck and opportunity to contest in the last 2023 general elections.

"Some of them are so angry with the leadership of the NWC as they were not consulted prior to taking such a major decision for their own inputs. They consider it a gross irresponsibility and disrespect to pronounce the expulsion of the founder and financier of the party in the past 21," a release by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulrazaq dated October 17 2023 reveals.

He also said that it Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso's entrance gate may not be open to the members of the NWC except on appointment.

"Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is also alleged to be so angry with their irresponsible act, abuse of power and overzealousness as he insisted that he warned them, yet they went ahead with the decision.

"The developing story is that there may be some level of resistance to any financial assistance to the party from the honourable members of the state assembly, national assembly and even the governor pending the resolution of the internal crisis in the party.

"NNPP has it on good authority from one of the defunct spokespersons of the party
that he is even tired of using his personal money to run the party affairs with the high cost of flying from Lagos to Abuja and attending to the media houses invitations to clarify issues.

"What may be tearing the defunct NWC members apart at the moment may be the sudden withdrawal of the sum of fifty five million naira left in their UBA AND First Bank PLC Account for fear of court order. Where is the money and who is holding it is the subject matter among them.

"Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on his own part is more interested on the appeal court and together with the Gov of kano state to ensuring victory in our mandate in Kano.

" We know that God is with us and our governor shall come out victorious at appeal court and/or supreme Court."

Politics / Offa Township Stadium Has Become A Dam - Comrade Salaudeen To Gov Abdulrahman by Jimsonjaat96(m): 9:42am On Oct 12, 2023
....Gov Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq Signed Renovation Of The Stadium 22 Months Ago

Comrade Salaudeen A. Lukman alias Eluku Omo Adugbo urges Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State to fulfill his own promise to upgrade Offa Township Stadium in Offa local government areas of the state.

Salaudeen is a former Kwara State House of Assembly Candidate for Ojomu Balogun Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Gov Abdulrahman has, in December 2021, approved the upgrade and modernisation of Offa Township Stadium.

A worrisome footage of Offa Township Stadium however was circulated on social media Wednesday, October 11, 2023 which shown the stadium appear flooded after torrents of rainfalls.

Reacting, Salaudeen enjoined the governor to revisit his 2021 promise before the stadium becomes a dam.

"They cajoled our people that Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq will bring succour to the entire Kwara people, considering the conspiracy of Otoge mantra that brought the unprepared leaders into Kwara affairs, it is also presumed that His Excellency Abdulrahman should have learnt on the job after his re-election.

"One wonders why the number one citizen of a state can be careless about his people's needs and prioritizing infrastructural and developmental projects to the extent that citizens have completely lost trust, confidence and value in his words. Kwara State Governor has never for once acted according to his words.

"As a citizen, I have witnessed numerous deceptions, lies and empty promises made by His Excellency under 5 years in office. It is just unfortunate that Offa people have voted again a deceiving, lying and propagandistic administration.

When I read some APC members stating Mr Governor is not a promise breaker, I only smiled because even the unborn kwaran can testify to the fact the our Governor is exactly the opposite.

"A child in the embryo can attest to poor roads in offa, as many of them get born, they still grow to see the dilapidated and unrepaired roads despite numerous noises on radio about 'Isenlo'.

"Mr Governor has broken 4 key promises made to Offa people: Offa robbery case, upgrade of Offa Township Stadium, abandoned 1.6km St Claire's-Rondo-Ikotun and the fourth, is zero presence of Kwara Road Maintenance Agency on Offa roads.

"It is better we call a spade a spade before pretence will affect us all, Mr Governor has not done well for Offa Local Government despite our people continuing support for the APC and Gov Abdulrahman."
Politics / It's Unfair To Leave 1.6KM Road Abandoned After Winning Election - Salaudeen by Jimsonjaat96(m): 8:19am On Oct 09, 2023
...Commends Residents Of Rondo Community

Comrade Salaudeen A. Lukman alias Eluku Omo Adugbo has berated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government for leaving a 1.6km of road uncompleted in Offa local government area of the state.

Recall a video was made viral via social media in which residents of the Rondo community in Offa expressed their displeasure over the inability of the government to complete half of 1.6km Ikotun-Offa road.

Salaudeen, a former Kwara State House of Assembly Candidate for Ojomu Balogun Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in his reaction on Monday, October 9, 2023 said it is unfair that the state government left the residents with a half complete road after winning election.

He said, "like every concerned indigene of Offa land who understands the economic impact and neccesity of motorable roads in the day to day activities of the common man, one must join voice to call for urgent intervention of the state Government. While I sympathize with the good people of Rondo community in Offa local government, I must commend the bravery of the residents of the area to speak out at this material time, indeed they are not alone in the call for an urgent action.

"Kwara State Government under Mallam AbdulRazaq Abdulraman must understand that one of the quality of good leadership is fairness to all. It is nothing but deliberate wickedness, deception and usual propaganda gimmick often employed by the state government to celebrate paper achievements which share little or no resemblance with 'achievement on ground'. One would think the 1.6km Rondo-Ikotun road will be fully constructed on time with media hype given.

Seeing this road in this shape at this time is very saddening, it implies they only use the road for polical campaign and left alone after the election. It is highly embarrassing and attestion of Mr governor's tendency to continue trade of deception beyond first term in office. Offa with her economic contribution to Kwara State Internal Generated Revenue/GDP and her electoral contribution to re-election of Mallam deserves a much more better treatment. It is least expected of Mr governor to ridicule Offa people this much. How can one explain the rank of Offa LG in Governor AA's priority list, if all her major roads are dead traps at the moment? Ekiti Local Government has 11.1KM Osi-Obbo-Aiyegunle road completed and reconstructions have not stopped on many roads projects within ilorin metropolis including the inflated and multiple awarded Tanke flyover bridge. This can be sum up: Gov AbdulRazaq is being unfair to Offa people."

He thereafter called on Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazak" to return home, stay back a little and attend to kwarans' needs", with emphasis that "Offa roads and most urgently 'Rondo Road' needs immediate resumption of work to complete a mere 1.6km before it becomes more disastrous."
Nairaland / General / Ori Oke Erinmo-ijesa Is Not A Mausoleum by Jimsonjaat96(m): 9:58pm On Oct 06, 2023
Ori Oke Erinmo-Ijesa Is Not A Mausoleum, Indigenes Kick Against Burial Joseph Adeyemi Bojesomo On The Mountain

Indigenes of Erinmo-Ijesa in Oriade local government area of Osun State have vehemently registered their displeasure at the plans to interred Baba Aladura Joseph Adeyemi Bojesomo, on the Ori-Oke Agbara Mountain in the town.

According to a signed press statement by 'concerned indigenes of Erinmo-Ijesa Worldwide ' and made available to this medium, the members also vowed to resist the moves to change the name of the mountain from 'Ori-Oke Agbara Erinmo-Ijesa' to 'Ori-Oke Efon-Alaye' by Pa Bojesomo's children.

Recall that Baba Bojesomo, who was the last administrator of Ori Oke Agbara in Erinmo-Ijesa, died around the early hours of Tuesday 20th June, 2023, having spent over one hundred (100) years on earth.

The indigenes stated that the late Pa Bojesomo was an indigene of Efon Alaye in Ekiti State, and not Erinmo-Ijesa in Osun State, and that it was after God answered his wife prayer on the mountain that he later joined the prayer warriors.

The youths added that: "Our attention has been drawn to an unprecedented development happening in the ancient town of Erinmo as a result of the fraudulent activities of the children of late Baba Joseph Eyinafe Odeyemi (Bojesomo), who was the last administrator of Ori Oke agbara in Erinmo in their brazen attempt to change the name of the mountain and bury their father there.

"We will resist this effontery by all possible means and we call on well meaning people all over the world to caution these children before things go out of hand.

"We wish to state the following incontrovertible facts about how Ori Oke Agbara Emi mimo in Erinmo was founded.

"The entire world knows that Ori-oke Agbara is physically located in Erinmo, Osun State and was founded based on directives from God in a vision given on Ori Oke Otito in Erinmo by the leaders of the C&S Church Erinmo Ijesa who were all indigenes of Erinmo, some of these foundation leaders are:
1. Elder Apostle Abel Ogundele
2. Elder Apostle Michael Oni Ojo
3. Aladura Nathaniel Dada (who later became Chief Logunde. of Erinmo)
4. Prophet andrew
5. Prophet Simone Aremo
6. Aladura Isaiah Olowoniyi
7. Aladura Kilojomo Sapaye
8. Aladura Noah Ajayi Alamure
9. Aladura Abraham Arolofin (who later became Chief Lodifi of Erinmo)

"The late Joseph Eyinafe Odeyemi (Bojesomo) who is an indigene of Efon Alaye in Ekiti State (not Erinmo) was a hunter as reflected in his family name “Odeyemi” that carried out his hunting expedition with dogs around the mountainous forest of Ori Oke Agbara, Erinmo whose senior wife (referred to as iya ni israel and mama Samu ) was invited to join the church activities on the mountain for prayers in her search for a child. It was much later that her husband baba Bojesomo who wasnt an Aladura nor a C & S church member was invited to also start attending service since God has given them the fruit of the womb after his wife's prayer on Ori Oke Agbara Erinmo.

"Baba Bojesomo (who was neither an aladura nor a prophet) later joined several other men of God who were already worshipping on the mountain like those already listed above and others who came from different parts of the world like Late Baba Aladura Omole (C&S Idasa, Ilesa) and Prophet Oshinkomoya who formed part of the presiding elders of the Ori-oke in the 80s. Prophet Oshinkomaya is still very much alive and has collaborated these facts.

"At no time was the name “Ori-Oke Agbara Erinmo “ changed to Ori-Oke Efon-Alaye as erroneously and mischievously put in the funeral advert by the children of Baba Bojesomo.

"Upon the demise of Baba Bojesomo and subsequent announcement of burial plans, document surfaced, describing the Ori-Oke as Ori-Oke Agbara Emimimo Efon Aalaye via Erinmo with a plan to bury him on the mountain which is shocking and unacceptable.

"That the indigenes of Erinmo Ijesa both home and abroad have made known their displeasure and disapproval to the plans and have subsequently reported the matter to the relevant government authorities who have since swung into action and gotten a writren undertaking from Samuel Odeyemi Bojesomo (aka arole) and Itunu Odeyemi (aka Gomina/ obanijesu) sons of Baba Bojesomo representing the family.

"The children of baba Bojesomo and their family were invited and have had meetings with the Elerinmo in Council where they apologised and claimed that the description of the Ori-oke was an error on their part. The meetings reaffirmed the disapproval to the planned Internment of their father on the mountain and the family representatives promised to abide by the wishes of the Erinmo people.

"However, contrary to the agreement reached at the meetings held on August 19, 2023, and September 11, 2023 in Erinmo, and the entreaties of security agencies, the family has continued plans to bury their late father on Ori Oke Agbara in Erinmo as a tomb has now been erected for that purpose on the Mountain, this CANNOT and WILL NOT be allowed to happen.

"Erinmo Ijesa people consider the attitudes of the Bojesomo Family as an afront on the love shown them over the years allowing them to manage a mountain in Erinmo even though they are indigenes of Efon Alaye, this fraudulent act is capable of drawing the community into crisis.

"It must be noted once again that Baba Joseph Eyinafe Odeyemi (Bojesomo) is an indigene of efon alaye in Ekiti State and it was the search for a child that brought him to Erinmo ijesa which is in Osun state.

"Lastly, that Erinmo-Ijesa people are peace loving but will resist the Odeyemi (Bojesomo) Family from their planned interment of their late father on the mountain and from turning the place to a family property or converting the name. We have approached the matter peacefully but some of the children have been adamant and sending veiled threats to Erinmo people instead of allowing reason to prevail.

"It must be pointed out that every structure constructed on Ori Oke Agbara in Erinmo have been through donations and contributions of people who go to the mountain for prayers and not from the personal pockets of the Bojesomo Family.

"When Baba Orimolade Tunolase the Founder of Cherubim and Seraphim Church Worldwide died, he was buried on a vast land donated by the Okorun Community in Ikare. He was not buried in Ori Oke Baba where he used to pray and where. there lies the mystery water that heals and does not dry up even in dry season.

"All over the world, Ori Oke is a place of prayers and not a cemetery or masoleum

"ORI OKE AGBARA EMI MIMO IS LOCATED IN ERINMO, WE WILL NOT ALLOW IT TO BE CHANGED AND THERE SHALL BE NO BURIAL ON THE MOUNTAIN, EVEN THE FOUNDERS WHO WERE INDIGENES OF ERINMO WERE NOT BURIED THERE."
NYSC / Nysc Will Continue To Work Towards Having A Seamless Mobilization Process - Dg by Jimsonjaat96(m): 4:33pm On Oct 06, 2023
The Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General YD Ahmed has said the Scheme would continue to work towards a seamless mobilization process as it continues to adapt to the latest trends in the information technology world.

He also advised the Corps Producing Institutions in the country to ensure data integrity while mobilizing their graduates for national service.

The Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General YD Ahmed disclosed this in his keynote address at the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Batch 'C' Pre-Mobilization Workshop, with the theme; “Enhancing Data Integrity for Seamless Mobilization Process”.
held in Abuja.

He said all hands must be on deck in order to ensure error-free mobilization process. He equally urged the participants to use the opportunity of the workshop for the appraisal of their respective roles in the NYSC Mobilization process.

"I wish to, therefore, warn that we shall begin to invoke the penalty of withholding new Exemption Certificates for graduates of any institution that fails to return unclaimed ones", the DG added.

General Ahmed also appealed for the cooperation of Corps Producing Institutions on the sensitization of Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) against traveling at night when reporting to their States of Deployment.

He said this has become necessary in view of recent incidents of kidnap and road accidents involving PCMs, all of which occurred due to night journeys.

“In view of the attendant dangers, CPIs should sensitize their graduates against night journeys, when reporting to the NYSC Orientation Camps.

They should be strongly advised to break long journeys and pass the night at Corps Lodges or other safe places, and proceed on their journeys in the morning.

It is therefore, incumbent on every one of us to always contribute towards discouraging our young graduates from putting themselves in harm’s way. On our part, the NYSC Management will continue to accord priority to the security and general welfare of Corps Members", he added.

The NYSC Chief Executive also stressed the importance of the sensitization of final year students on NYSC matters, adding that feedback being received shows that some institutions fail to fully mobilize their students to attend the sensitization programme.

The DG said the Scheme would soon compile the names of schools that are not willing to open their gates for NYSC officials to disseminate information to their final year students for appropriate sanctions.

The Director, Corps Mobilization Department, Hajiya Walida Siddique Isa said the Scheme has introduced innovations and also enhanced the level of collaboration with all stakeholders in the mobilization process.

Politics / We Are Not Corrupt Like You - Osun PDP Chairman Blasts APC by Jimsonjaat96(m): 7:05pm On Oct 01, 2023
Osun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has blasted the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over alleged diversion of the N2 billion naira palliative fund, saying "we are not a corrupt government like yours."

Responding to astatement from the APC, Osun PDP Chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi said APC government that ran the state aground with multi-billion Naira debt without any democratic dividends, thinks and believes every leader is a kleptocrat with sadistic mindset like the previous APC government.

"Governor Ademola Adeleke is a due process leader who cherishes accountability and transparency in all governmental processes. Procurement order has been placed for palliative materials and they will soon arrive.

"The palliative plan by Governor Adeleke is very comprehensive and is designed to be sufficient enough to reach the masses. Only those who were voted out for thieving records will think the Governor from a billionaire background will divert a palliative fund that is publicly declared.

"We want to put it on record that an internal probe conducted by this government had since revealed multi-billion naira maladministration and mismanagement under the previous APC government. Our government is however deeply interested in turning a new leaf rather than conducting a full probe of Oyetola government.

"We also want to affirm that the PDP government in Osun state has a policy of cooperation and collaboration to achieve developmental goals. In a federation, the states are obliged to ensure seamless intergovernmental relations for national development. The presidency appreciates Adeleke governorship, a development that is worrying the state chapter of APC.

"Rather than undermining federal palliative policy, Osun state is complementing it, ensuring a holistic approach and value for money without avenue for self-enrichment as was the case in the past. We are not a government that hoards palliatives; we are an accountable government with integrity and we are being led by a Governor from a reputable philanthropic family.

“When next the state APC makes an irresponsible allegation of fund diversion, the relevant agency of our government will take appropriate legal action. We invite APC to Ipade Imole on Thursday to listen to a transparent Governor delivering detailed stewardship to the good people of Osun State", the statement by the party chairman of PDP noted.
Politics / NNPP Bot Moves To Ratify Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso's Expulsion by Jimsonjaat96(m): 11:19am On Sep 29, 2023
The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the New Nigeria People's Party ( NNPP)has ratified the dissolution of the Abba Kawu Ali - led National Working Committee of the party.

The BoT also confirmed and ratified the expulsion of the NNPP's presidential candidate during the 2023 general elections, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso.

This announcement was made in a communique issued at the end of its meeting held at Rockview Hotel, Apapa, Lagos on Friday 22nd September 2023.

The national publicity secretary of the party, Alh Abdulsalam Abdulrasaq who signed the communique made copies available to newsmen in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The BoT insisted that the constitution of the NNPP 2022 as amended remains the constitution of the party, adding that no constitution amendment would be entertained until after the 2027 general elections.

The communique reads: " The Constitution of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), 2022 (As Amended) remains the constitution of the party and no constitution amendment is approved until after the 2027 general elections. The Head Office of the NNPP is Plot 511, Herbert Macaulay Way, Willands Plaza, Zone 4, Wuse Abuja.

"The dissolved Abba Kawu Ali led National Working Committee of the party which was constituted without due process and the laid down provisions of the party’s constitution is dissolved, and INEC to be notified immediately.

"The expulsion of Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) is confirmed and ratified.

"The alleged expulsions of the Founder and former chairman of the BoT and Dr Gilbert Major Agbo, former publicity secretary, and the purported dissolution of the nine (9) state and local government executive committees without fair hearing by the illegal but now dissolved Abba Kawu Ali - led National Working Committee of the party which was carried out without due process and contrary to the party’s constitution is nullified and set aside.

" The resignation of the Dr Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam as the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the party during the last Board meeting of 29th August 2023 is accepted and ratified. Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam remains the Founder and life member of the Board of Trustees.

"The elections of Dr. Temitope Aluko as the chairman of the Board of Trustees and Engr. Babayo Mohammed Abdullahi as the secretary to the Board of Trustees on 29th August 2023 were accepted and ratified.

"More so, the elections of Dr. Gilbert Major Agbo as the national chairman, Comrade Olaposi Oginni as the national secretary, Chief Felix Chukwura as the deputy national chairman (South), Alhaji Babayo Liman as the deputy national chairman (North), Mr. Abdulrazaq Abdulsalam as the national publicity secretary and Peter Ogah, Esq. as the national legal adviser of the party, their oaths of office having been administered accordingly, were accepted and ratified. The List of the other members of the Board of Trustees and the National Working Committee will be published subsequently."

The NNPP's BoT urged members of the public to disregard the press conference and expression of the Kwankwasiya group led by Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso over the state of affairs of the party and the judgment of the Kano State governorship election petitions tribunal.

It said that : "The groups are mere interest groups who used the party's platform for the 2023 general elections, but their alliance ended with the elections, and as such the groups have no authorization to speak or act for the party, adding that, "the judgment of the Kano State governorship election petitions tribunal which sacked the party’s candidate, Governor Abba Yusuf on Wednesday, 20th of September, 2023 is to be carefully studied with the view of approaching the appellate court for necessary redress."

The chairman of the NNPP's BoT, Dr Temitope Aluko, had last weekend clarified that the party's management was not factionalized.

Aluko, in a statement he personally signed insisted that there were no factions within the NNPP as a party.

He therefore, appealed to the Nigerian media to desist from promoting issues tending to suggest that the party has been factionalized.

Aluko added: "Let it be on record that NNPP is one of the nineteen registered political parties in Nigeria which has existed since 2001. Let us equally make it clear that the Kwankwasiya Movement, The National Movement and Nagaff are political pressure groups with specific interest in the polity of Nigeria. They are not political parties in Nigeria and can not operate as such in the eye of the law under the regulation and control of the Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC).
"NNPP's relationship with the aforementioned pressure groups are not political alliances because they are not political parties. NNPP simply entered into memorandum of understanding with these groups for the purposes of 2023 general election. In particular was the interest of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to contest presidential election under the platform of the NNPP.

"It is in the public domain that the presidential election 2023 have come and gone and a winner duly emerged and sworn into office. It is also on record that Senator Kwankwaso and NNPP are not contesting the outcome of the presidential election in court. We equally know that members of TNM led by Prof Alkali and Prof Angwe resigned their membership of NNPP and left in accordance with the memo of understanding (MoU), thereafter the general election.

"Under the circumstances the board of NNPP in consultation with the General Assembly (National Convention) have resolved and taken a decision to terminate the memorandum of understanding between NNPP on one part and Kwankwasiya and TNM on the other formally with effect from 28th August 2023. Once again we appeal to the media to stop promoting division in our great party of hope for Nigeria," Aluko had said.

Queen Ganiyat Atinuke Olanipekun lives a life filled with grace, humility, and dedication to her family and community. Her journey has seen her overcome innumerable challenges, demonstrating unwavering strength and perseverance.

During this time, she worked tirelessly to promote peace, unity, and development in the kingdom, leaving an indelible mark on Offa's history.

Beyond her role as a Queen, Queen Ganiyat also has a powerful legacy as a mother. Her son, Segun Olanipekun, a former Chairman of Offa Local Government area of Kwara State, credits her as his guiding light and source of inspiration. Under her guidance and love, he grew to become a strong leader and advocate for progress in his community.

Her life serves as an inspiration to the younger generation, illustrating the power of resilience and unwavering dedication to family and community.

According to him, "Our friendship lasted up until I left Lagos State to establish in Anambra State especially at Awkuzu."

According to Mr Ndubuisi Morah," It was at my Fut-King Oil and Gas Filling Station along Igbariam School Road that Onyeka ran into me one day and our friendship was reignited."

"He was now based in Anambra State and even though he introduced himself to me as a very successful business man, I have never been able to pinpoint which area of business he now specializes in. He is still unmarried at over 45 years of age and he often blamed this on his poor economic standing."

"Most times, he relies on me for his upkeep while making promises that he cannot fulfill. Once in a while, I have to fuel his car and even provide for his daily meals. For me, friendship is about sacrifices and sharing of each other's burdens."

"I have never been perturbed by this overdependence; after all, it will be uncharitable for me to claim that there is no way I benefit from his companionship and acquaintance."

"Yes. We have often shared moments of camaraderie but on that fateful day of June 29th, 2023, I never invited him to share "a jollof noodles meal" with me as speculated in the malicious trending stories. He came on his own as usual but this time, it was to collect some electrical items kept with me for safe keeping."

"Two days before we were Kidnapped, exactly on the 29th day of June, 2023, my friend, Onyeka had arrived my Petrol Station with some electrical appliances for safe keeping. He complained that he had a vehicle breakdown and his mechanics could not fix the vehicle instantly. But on that fateful day, he arrived with the same vehicle to pick up those items."

"I did not make any calls to him neither did I in any correspondence or format extend any invitation to him within that time frame to come and join me in my jallof indomie as the petitioners alleged. This is 21st century and these claims are easily verifiable using modern ICT methodologies to check my call logs on MTN."

"We were already exchanging pleasantries when the men of the underworld struck. We were both whisked away and bundled into their vehicle booth."

"At their detention camp, we initially were kept together but got separated after a few days. I was blindfolded most of the time and tortured without mercy."

"The kidnappers requested a Ransome of =N=100 Million Naira initially and demanded to know how they would get the money or they would kill me. May I at this point remind that they did not take us with our phones. I told them that my younger brother, Mr. Nonso can be contacted to raise whatever demand they make."

"I was aware that they were in constant negotiations with my younger brother. I am also aware that their negotiations dropped from initial One Hundred Million Naira (=N=100,000,000.00) to Fifteen Million Naira (=N=15,000,000.00)."

"I was later to discover that my brother mistakenly believed that the negotiations were for both of us, my friend, Mr. Onyeka Nnakwue and I."

"I was so traumatized during my captivity that at anytime I was given opportunity, I only focused on what they wanted me to do."

"My brother paid the =N=15,000,000 ransom on the 8th day of July, 2023 in Bitcoin with the following particulars:"

"I was released from captivity on the 14th day of July, 2023; that was six days after payment of the N15,000,000 ransom."

"I wondered how a yet to be identified man can claim to have sighted me within that time frame that I was under captive as bogusly claimed by my friends relatives in their online narratives."

The statement reads in full,

RE: HOW MAN WAS KIDNAPPED WHILE EATING NOODLES WITH A FRIEND.

My attention has been drawn to social media publications making the rounds where my family and I are carefully maligned and defamed through a craftly woven syllogism by one Izunna Okafor in a post made on August 17, 2023 across various online platforms and shared in various social media handles.

I use this opportunity to set the records straight.

My name is Mr. Ndubuisi Morah, the MD Fut-King Oil and Gas Filling Station one of which is situate at Otoko, Awkuzu in Oyi Local Government Area by Igbariam School Road. I am an investor and my interests span from oil and gas into real estate. I am a successful business man with verifiable sources of incomes and my entire Ukpo Community can attest to this. I have been in business for a long time without any blemish until this present blackmail which I defend thus.

Mr. Onyeka Nnakwue has been a friend and we got acquainted during my apprenticeship in Lagos. Our friendship lasted up until I left Lagos State to establish in Anambra State especially at Awkuzu.

It was at my Fut-King Oil and Gas Filling Station along Igbariam School Road that Onyeka ran into me one day and our friendship was reignited.

He was now based in Anambra State and even though he introduced himself to me as a very successful business man, I have never been able to pinpoint which area of business he now specializes in. He is still unmarried at over 45 years of age and he often blamed this on his poor economic standing.

Most times, he relies on me for his upkeep while making promises that he cannot fulfill. Once in a while, I have to fuel his car and even provide for his daily meals. For me, friendship is about sacrifices and sharing of each other's burdens.

I have never been perturbed by this overdependence; after all, it will be uncharitable for me to claim that there is no way I benefit from his companionship and acquaintance.

Yes. We have often shared moments of camaraderie but on that fateful day of June 29th, 2023, I never invited him to share "a jollof noodles meal" with me as speculated in the malicious trending stories. He came on his own as usual but this time, it was to collect some electrical items kept with me for safe keeping.

Two days before we were Kidnapped, exactly on the 29th day of June, 2023, my friend, Onyeka had arrived my Petrol Station with some electrical appliances for safe keeping. He complained that he had a vehicle breakdown and his mechanics could not fix the vehicle instantly. But on that fateful day, he arrived with the same vehicle to pick up those items.

I did not make any calls to him neither did I in any correspondence or format extend any invitation to him within that time frame to come and join me in my jallof indomie as the petitioners alleged. This is 21st century and these claims are easily verifiable using modern ICT methodologies to check my call logs on MTN.

We were already exchanging pleasantries when the men of the underworld struck. We were both whisked away and bundled into their vehicle booth.

At their detention camp, we initially were kept together but got separated after a few days. I was blindfolded most of the time and tortured without mercy.

The kidnappers requested a Ransome of =N=100 Million Naira initially and demanded to know how they would get the money or they would kill me. May I at this point remind that they did not take us with our phones. I told them that my younger brother, Mr. Nonso can be contacted to raise whatever demand they make.

I was aware that they were in constant negotiations with my younger brother. I am also aware that their negotiations dropped from initial One Hundred Million Naira (=N=100,000,000.00) to Fifteen Million Naira (=N=15,000,000.00).

I was later to discover that my brother mistakenly believed that the negotiations were for both of us, my friend, Mr. Onyeka Nnakwue and I.

I was so traumatized during my captivity that at anytime I was given opportunity, I only focused on what they wanted me to do.

My brother paid the =N=15,000,000 ransom on the 8th day of July, 2023 in Bitcoin with the following particulars:

*TZ3Js5cMmswG2Rb46JsZi1q6RSrTkCKvhT*

*The network is Trc20*

I was released from captivity on the 14th day of July, 2023; that was six days after payment of the N15,000,000 ransom.

I wondered how a yet to be identified man can claim to have sighted me within that time frame that I was under captive as bogusly claimed by my friends relatives in their online narratives.

Part of the correspondences between my brother and those kidnappers are not hidden. My friend's family can deploy technology and collaborate with our GSM providers for our call logs and contact tracing and tracking and stop the unwarranted blackmail on my person and that of my younger brother - Nonso Morah as well.

My call logs and correspondences as well as the transactions made with my handset within the period of my captivity should be within MTN's domain. As such, both my Network Providers and that of their brother's network will clear some of their suspicion since both phones were collected from my Filling Station by my younger brother; who equally informed me that he was making correspondences with both phones. He informed me that it was my manager who relayed our kidnap incidence to him.

My brother equally informed me that one of the persons he interacted during fund raising was
Rev. Arinze Nnakwue, my friend's relative but he bluntly told him that their family cannot raise any money and that he was personally been owed arrears of two months by his church. My brother never interacted with him again over same issue neither did he or any member of my friends relative contact my brother until after my release.

I wondered how the petitioners will misconstrue such gruesome experience to mean "childish stage-managed kidnap."

The position of the petitioners is an attempt to subject me into another round of psychological trauma and it is both regrettable, saddening and unbearable to me. I have had enough torture and trauma. My harrowing experience is not something anybody can wish even his worst enemy.

For emphasis.

I was kidnapped together with my friend who visited me. We were taken to the kidnappers camp and later separated. I was physically assaulted most of the time. When I told the kidnappers that my brother runs a Bet9ja Shop, they assaulted me more claiming that I was not sincere with them. They told me that Onyeka had already informed them that my brother, Nonso was equally into Oil and Gas business like myself.

I, told them it was a misunderstanding, that my brother operates a Manual Cooking Gas Refilling business and that he ventured into the business new through my empowerment.

Meanwhile, my ransom was raised from family members and close associates through my brother Nonso.

On my release, I was on blindfold when some items were placed on my palms by my abductors who ordered me to put them in my pockets. I was later to discover that those were my friend's items.

On my release, I was dropped at the Onitsha-Enugu Expressway some kilometers away from Ukpo junction. I found my way to the construction site in that Junction area where I rested for a while before making it home.

Few days after my release, I was whisked away again together with my younger brother by men of the Special Anti-Kidnap Squad, Awkuzu on trumped up allegations from my friend's family claiming that I had kidnapped their brother and my friend. The experience that my brother and I had there at Anti Kidnap Squad, Awkuzu is better imagined, it was horrible, life threatening and dehumanizing.

At the end of these ordeals, we were later released with apologies. But the scars of the torturous experience we had are still visible on our bodies.

It is disheartening that relatives will not rally for their loved one in the kind of debilitating situation that we found ourselves. We all know that kidnapping is usually for ransom and one of the victims saving grace was ones ability to settle his captives.

I make bold to inform the general public that my friend, Onyeka cannot be kidnapped by anybody who knows him. In fact, he has no kidnapping value. Consequently by my own assessment, it was a coincidence that resulted in the abduction of both of us leading to gruesome experience that we shared.

I sincerely do not know the whereabout of my friend currently and there is no way I can get in touch with our abductors. One would have expected that the monies wasted in witch-hunting and scapegoating my brother and I should be better deployed into tracking, tracing and further investigations.

I am pained that my friend is not yet released. I sympathize with the family and I am willing to collaborate with them in any meaningful measures that will lead to the successful discovery and safe release and or arrival of their brother who is also a friend.

For now, I am both traumatized, devastated and broken. And I need rest not further trauma.

My final wish is for my friend to gain freedom the same way I gained mine. I pray for his release or his whereabouts discovered.

I join my friend's family in praying the police for a discreet and thorough investigation into all these happenstances in order to unravel the mysteries behind our kidnap and indeed all kidnappings for ransom in this state. I equally place our help in the hands of the almighty God who is the author and finisher of our life.

Amen!
