What about thier properties you termed "abandoned properties" in Diobu? Did you not devour and share all their houses in PH?

Why are you crying more than the bereaved? what is it that is giving you nightmares? If Lagos is the one losing, then how has that stop your state from gaining?

If the offer is too small, am very much in a position of raising it. okay, I'm making it 350K ( still negotiable).

Mind you, am not saying you don't have money but I think even Tom Cruise won't hesitate pulling this 7 minutes stunts that will fetch him 350K. shocked

Finally, you agree with me that you can't, right?. why then are complaining about a law aimed at bringing sanity to the chaotic Lagos terrain if you are not propelled by sheer bigotry and bitterness?

okay, here I'm gonna make you an offer. I'll offer you quarter of million naira, if you drink one bottle of Gulder on Friday, immediately after Friday's prayer in Kauran Namoda.

I dare you to go and drink beer in zamfara or is zamfara no more a Nigerian entity? Now, who is the fool here? person!

remmyton:

Then I guess u r one big fool, Lagos as other states in nigeria is a nigerian state and has no right whatsoever to define its residents, as a Nigerian, I have a right to live in any state in nigeria without being questioned, so what fashola is doing is purely tribal n needs to be put be put in order
Car Talk / Re: Frsc Faults Lagos Policy On Number Plate by Jisunpack: 10:04am On Oct 05, 2012
Shut the eff up and stop sounding like a person. Can you go to Kano and drink gulder in public glaring? Can you go to zamfara and request for a bottle of star without having your left hand chopped off?

This is a law conceived to further true federalism, where individual entities could make local laws acceptable to her region or state thereby kick starting a healthy competition among various nations mashed up in this country, yet you fools want to bungle the opportunity?

Before I left Rivers state, Amaechi introduced a slogan among Rivers State indigenes " Rivers state for Rivers people, if you can't obey our laws then move back to your village".

Beyelsa state viz a viz the Ijaw nation is doing everything possible to fast track the creation of a separate entity.

They have among other things -

- Introduced a coat of arms
- introduced National anthem( which must be preceded by Nigeria's national anthem)
- Change Beyelsa television to Niger Delta television
- create an Ijaw national headquarters and are making more local laws.

For you info, others have moved on with plans and if you can't understand that, then your case is worst than I earlier thought. Things must fall apart, since the center can no longer hold.

portbellohermit: homeboy have some reasoning are u totally confined to lagos state? cos u need to understand that if other states brings on this revenue driven antics up too, how are u going to feel if u cannot drive ur car in another state. Was Ojukwu high on cheap grass to drag his people into a war with zero chances of winning? How could any sane person go into war with his bare hands armed with inspiration from his pure stupidity?

Heck, when it was time to show bravery, he cross-dress like aba market woman and bolted to Abidjan , married a new wife and enjoyed his life, after foolishly leading 3 million of his brethren to their early graves. We saw Gaddafi dying side by side with his people, even after several countries offered his asylum.

How do you expect them to understand loving your people, when they can quietly take their parents to shrine for money rituals?

How do expect them to understand when they only worship money? A region where brothers don't trust each other , sisters sees each other as enemies?

Dudu_Negro: Im looking at the title to this topic and asking myself, is it wrong to love oneself......and if he was Yoruba leader why should he not love his people?

This book may explain the bottom reason why Igbo leaders declare political loyalty to non-igbos and it would likewise throw light into understanding why igbos genrally put the love of other lands above their own alaigbo.........loving oneself and loving one's people and land is a foreign and strange concept to them.

Who could reveal this better than Chinua........yes, please let me know when its available free in googlebooks.

Is anything wrong with one loving his people? only the easterners will think otherwise, since every value on that side must have monetary inducement and greed supersedes brotherhood. No amount of revisions can take away the fact that the legendary awo was a great man.

Let those that sees nothing wrong with kidnapping their brothers complain.

God bless Awowolo Obafemi.

What has this BS got to do with the issue at hand? that last year south east generates over a billion naira in kidnapping? or that 90% of kidnappers are from south east?

bashr8: kidnapping started in the southwest or you think we have forgotten one chance and the use of kidnapped people for rituals, it spread to the niger delta then to south east and now back to ss and sw. should we start counting how many people have been kidnapped in sw and used for rituals this year alone
Politics / Re: Nigeria Accounts For 25% Of Global Kidnappings - AIO by Jisunpack: 12:10pm On Oct 04, 2012
Will yo have ever written this way if this news is about boko haram? or any other region? You would prolly have insulted the whole north including those that can't even reply single Hausa word.

Now, because the news is affecting south east you want us to view it as nationalistic predicament, right?

what you are playing here is known as double standards and as far as I'm concern, south easterners should find a away of cleaning this mess alone. Everybody must answer him papa name.

gator_666: Don't blame the news, blame the facts. Okay, maybe Nigeria is not 1st, maybe it is 2nd, but does that change the fact that things are bad, extremely bad here? if you are taken for ransom, or one of your loved ones, does it matter if it is Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa gangsters that did it?
Politics / Re: Nigeria Accounts For 25% Of Global Kidnappings - AIO by Jisunpack: 11:41am On Oct 04, 2012
1.2. billion what? I think FG should just legalize this lucrative venture for our south eastern brothers. who knows whether this could be major sources of revenue.

plendil:

1.2billion?? i.e roughly 1.3m per kidnapped person?? The figure is definitely far higher than that. when we hear of kidnappers demanding over 10m per person.

ogugua88:

Not at all. The statistics actually go against what you said. If by July 2009, there were 512 kidnappings, let's double it to get an approximation of 1,024 for 2009 in entirety. I do not believe kidnappings have risen 1,747% in Nigeria, as that's the percent increase it would take to surpass Mexico's 17,889. Until IIM releases figures, I'm not believing it.

In no way am I minimizing kidnapping in Nigeria though. It is terrible, but we're not number one.

Below is my response.

Ji_sun_pack: Okay, away from this. You know we hardly report crime cases in Nigeria. when you do plus and minus, you would realize our figures should be much more bigger than what is reported ( my opinion).

ogugua88:

Of course.

From another source:

Excuse me while I look for 2011 numbers for Nigeria. It would have been nice if IIM left us with some numbers rather than their word.

Mind you, IIM said reported cases. Up to 18,000 people report ransom cases to the police? They have faith.

Nah, even Mexico is tailing south eastern Nigeria. Just yesterday I posted a story of how some barbarians murdered a businessman, after kidnapping him. Or is it the Cynthia's case or the Spanish doctor that was abducted?
