Music/Radio / Re: Pitbull And Protege Sensato Remix Dbanj's Oliver Twist by Jisunpack: 10:59am On Sep 21, 2012
Was Oliver Twist totally and independently produced by Don Jazzy? Why haven't we hear any hit song from his Mavin crew?

The good thing here is that this song will still fetch more millions for Dbanj while most of you hating mongrels go to bed with empty stomach as usual.

l kinda like how Dbanj keeps sending ballistic missiles to his enemy camps to keep the poor sods busy.

akpu nku: much ado about nothing. The beat is Don Jazzy's, so when D'banj comes up with a totally independent hit single or album, i can then say 'he is doing well alone'

Well, I think they will if you belong to same party with the central government. During OBJ's tenure most loyalist got their money back, Dunno about GEJ's time.

The bottom line is Rivers state is one of the richest, if not the richest in Nigeria so there is no reason whatsoever to prevent Amaechi from fixing that state with or without FG's presence.

Like you earlier said, Amaechi is becoming a shadow of his first tenure in office. The guy is busy enacting laws that will see him living like a king for the rest of his life, else how could you explain why he proposed a law that will buy him houses in choice locations in both Rivers and Abuja?

His famous quote, "Rivers for Rivers people!" or " Rivers money is for Rivers people, if you are not happy with us then relocate back to your state" . lol.

Demdem:

The bolded is another cause of concern. Are we sure the Fg returns this money. Fashola do complain about the refusal of the FG to refund them ooo

"That road belongs to the federal government", is the biggest fraud perpetuated by politicians in recent times to run away from their responsibilitlies

Governor Adamu Ma'azu constructed more than 100 km Bauchi - Jos road from state coffers before reclaiming the amount from federal government.

Amaechi is not doing as expected, just that Peter Odilli was a "ghost" and a monumental failure. What is common East - West road? ? ? ?

Demdem:

U have a good point here. Until something is done about that road even though is FG responsibility, Amaechi remains a failure this second term. Pitiable case but a fact.

No need to be going front and back with what is known to almost all rivers state residents. Just take a ride after small rainfall to the last end of mile one towards Isaac Boro park and report back to this thread.

Abagworo:

Ikwerre road is linked to Nta Nwogba and some parts to Azikiwe road at Mile one.

When Dangote intends to bring sanity to the haulage business by employing graduates to replace these set of crack smoking heartless nutjobs causing avoidable and unnecessary accidents on the road due to one form of law breakage or the other, many people insulated him and call him names.

Now, we are witnessing the sad and horrible repercussions of allowing illiterates mounting the wheels of heavy trucks.

RIP to the death, such was a sad ending.
Politics / Re: Section Of Airforce-Flyover Bridge In Port-Harcourt Collapses by Jisunpack: 7:35am On Sep 19, 2012
Where is mile3 - mile1 sub- drainage leading to? secondly, I can point to you many others leading to no where, or better still leading to other people's properties.

come to think of this, most roads don't last more than 3 years in rivers before showing sign of fatigue or producing pot holes. Lets not even talk about those constructed by NDDC.

Abagworo:

The underground drainages are linked. If you had ever been to NTA Road before its re-construction, you would not be writing the above. Give me an example of a drainage that leads to nowhere. He opened up a canal to link Stadium road to a bigger River. Rumuobiakani/Oginigba and Old Aba Road empty into Mini Okoro stream. Amaechi Government is still integrating the drainage system of Port Harcourt. I don't want to compare but Akwa-Ibom is a virgin land and has very little challenges when compared with Rivers. Take Okporo Road for instance where almost 20million Naira is paid per plot as compensation and there are more than 200 houses demolished. If you multiply 200 by 20million, you will understand the simple difference. Akwa-Ibom needs no demolision and high compensation.
Politics / Re: Section Of Airforce-Flyover Bridge In Port-Harcourt Collapses by Jisunpack: 5:22am On Sep 19, 2012
The bolded is FALSE! What do you know about roads? . . .That your "complete underground drainage" is leading to where? The truth is that most roads constructed in Rivers are substandard and it takes professional with field experience to know this.

Akwa ibom roads being built by Julius Berger are the best roads so far in south south, the contract was awarded with maintenance fee and duration of warranty, hence the cost is on the high side.

Julius Berger was brought to Akwa Ibom in 2007 after we deliberated on them me and Late prof. J I Akpabio( PhD chemistry) aka "The Don". we sold the idea to Goodwill Akpabio after a campaign tour, showed him some pictures and he bought it and today they are all smiling. Ekot Ekpene - Abak road was the road we agreed to be dualized first and the rest is now history.

The first thing needed to be done to arrest this ugly situation In Rivers is having a complete drainage system with a single knock out gate and not making disjointed drainage without direction all over the places. Before you shout anything, I'm a strong admirer of Amaechi but we have to call a spade a spade. Take for instance the mile3 - mile1 newly constructed road with drainage, could you tell me where that draining is leading to or to which creek or river? What do you think the purpose of drainage is? Beautification?

Abagworo:

I will not sit down and let anyone talk down on Amaechi like that. It is wicked of you to have written the above. The quality of roads Amaechi has constructed is the best i have ever seen in Nigeria. Zero laterite, complete underground drainage, road cast with concrete and steel before laying asphalt. Meanwhile there is normal excavation of 6 feet and replacement with sharp sand.

Could you please tell me where the rains revealed the quality of work? Apart from NTA and Rumuola, the rest are superb.

Here is another thread I started on the 100 million euro Eko rail project. A loan collected by federal government to help Lagos.

Can you see what am talking about? GEJ is no fool, he's doing everything possible to protect his 2015 and as such doing everything possible to please the south west.

So, GEJ is now chairman of orient petroleum? see desperation this early morning ooooo!

Anambra being an oil producing state is by default i.e. any state with evidence of producing one cup of crude oil automatically becomes oil producing state. so cut that crap.

Going by the above, we can as well claimed the Dangote Ibese cement factory commissioned by GEJ as another plus, right?

Now back to the comparison of projects allotted to those that casted 98% votes and those that didn't.

http://article.wn.com/view/2012/08/30/Minister_Signs_US14_Billion_LagosIbadan_Rail_Project/

Here is the article of the project and I want you to present a single project that rivaled this. . . .Don't make me wait too long.

One_Naira:

As I expected NOTHING but a figment of your imagination "boasting". If i expected more I would be lying.

ROFLMFAO.

The reason I compared you to dedeike is that similar to you, dedeike is going around telling "stories" without any validation to his claim. Never said I believed him or are you too slow to understand the quotation mark in some of the word represent and even the term "if we are to believe dede-ike" Unlike you, he is believed to be GEJ paid agent so therefore whatever it is GEJ done or wants the public to believe he's done, it's his job to spread it therefore your story should equally match his story if we should believe everything you wrote. How come it does not?

As for everything I said he did (i.e: anambra oil production, enugu international standard, the ontisha port and asaba airport)

Well Anambra oil producing state
http://sunnewsonline.com/new/cover/anambra-joins-oil-producing-states-league/

Enugu International airport
http://elombah.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=5076:akanu-ibiam-international-airport-enugu-enugu-state-nigeria-a-viable-investment&catid=30:the-economy&Itemid=41
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akanu_Ibiam_International_Airport

The ontisha port
http://dailytimes.com.ng/article/igbo-group-commends-fg-onitsha-port
http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/the-return-of-onitsha-river-port/125088/

I do not think I need to provide an article on the airport of Asaba.

I'll repeat this one more time, notice the difference between you and the Igbos on NL and even the OP. A mere tap on their shoulder isn't good enough. As far as they concerned GEJ failed them even if he did some of the stuff they wished of him and unlike you, they aren't using it nor adding extra salt as a way to boast of "superiority" in government. I'll add this in: Take a lesson from them, learn to move out of your imagination and learn to stop boasting unless you have something to support. Who knows, someone might put you on blast for it and ask you to bring out a source.

Don't know we are talking about GEJ's achievements and not south eastern presIdency. lol

Dude your case is even worst than I earlier thought. but while you are at posting your "achievements" can you equally post any supporting article or pictures of these projects? or you are expecting me to swallow what a paid PDP apologist wrote hook, line and sinker? When has Dedeike became a credible source to warrant you quoting him. There is no single day we won't pull out fresh dead bodies on east-west road due to the sorry state of that road so what are you talking about?

Again take time to re-read the article posted by the OP or are you now claiming all he said was false?

What you are asking for is easily available on Google search. that said.

I'm not an ACN stewards but I belong to south west and am down with anything that would make her greater. So if "Thiefnibs" is the one mounting pressure on the president and bringing the necessary developments required to place her on the map, than who are my not to be happy with him? presently, I want Mimiko to win in Ondo and I have canvassed for him here on nairaland against the ACN candidate . so, I'm not your average party blind follower or sycophant.

The issue with you guys is that you are blinded by ethnic bigotry not to have realized that by falling over or opening your pusssy easily, you stand the chance of being relegated to the back seat. Dug up all my pre- election post to verify my claims where I constantly "attack" you guys on the needs of entering into a serious agreement with Jonathan before delivering 98% of your votes to him.

You have to save the best for the last. Jonathan paid 3 unscheduled visit to Lagos to beg the ACN chiefs to allow him accesses to south western votes shortly before presIdentIal electIons, NO? while our so-called brothers across the Niger are calling him our son and declaring their supports without any concrete agreement of what is in for them. I was the one telling you the benefits of coming out with single powerful voice under apga, EzeUche and co were busy calling me names and Beaf was molesting their low IQ with a newly coalition mantra called "SS & SE" coalition ( whatever that means I don't know) , well the rest is now history

This is a basic political arithmetic and if you don't know that then I can't help you.

One_Naira:

Have proof to support the above or is these one of una "never ending boasting without reality"

While am at it, what I am getting is that GEJ is the one improving Lagos so what happened ACN doing all this as many of una have claimed all over NL. SMH

You guys continue to shoot yourself in the foot whenever you want to boast of a non-reality BS.

its a pity that you're now accepting what most of us saw before 2011. Like I said before the Ohanaeze Ndigbo endorsement brouhaha that you don't display your cards easily or show your shallowness in politics.

You think Jonathan is stupid not to be able to differentiate those in his pocket and those needed to pleased before 2015? where is the second Niger bridge? where is the Onitsha port? where is the international airport? on the contrary he approved a contract of 1.4 billion dollars Lagos - Ibadan railway project, that figure is by far bigger than the whole projects to be done in entire south east. Building more federal roads in Lagos and entire south west.

secondly, he re-awarded Benin- ore- Lagos road, that road project is greater than the entire roads to be constructed in south east. East - west road is in total mess, Portharcourt - Aba road is a dead trap.

I laugh in 98% votes.

Onlytruth:

I heard all that too, though my personal support came only after Ralph Uwechue assured us that there was an agreement with Jonathan to run for only one term and support the SE in 2015. My brother politics is a tricky game, and I think that whatever was used to mobilize Igbo votes for Jonathan was okay provided he delivered for the whole region. I don't think he has done that. He is basically allocating more federal funds to places that didn't even vote for him and neglecting the SE. For me, that is where the whole thing came to a head. I kept saying that I would end my support for him by the end of this year if I don't see any changes. I have not seen any changes!
Victor Umeh's lament only ignited what I was already thinking about.

Our experiment with bro Jona has not paid a good dividend, or at least has not met our expectations.
So, let us field our own candidate in 2015. Win or lose, we should continue to field candidates in EVERY presidential elections in organized way, not in fragments.
I know we can win, and even win easily. cool

Only if you are privilege to have access to the contract documents, then be rest assured that these thieves can award and re-award thesame contract over and over again. The button line is the governors are not sincere and the masses are dumb.

Classicalman: Dude, are you sure you live in P.H? The collapsed bridge was completed sometime in 2005 or so. Omehia only came in 2007. The bridge you are referring to, in which he paid the contractor (Julius Berger) 100% mobilization is the ELEME JUNCTION flyover. That bridge has since been completed.

I sworn not have anything to do with those " flyovers". Like a year or two ago, I was arguing the quality of job being done on that flyover with a friend that was insisting on the capabilities of the local contractors aka community chiefs in handling such a highly sensitive engineering jobs and all that.

so, one morning I took him to have a breakfast @ Kilimanjaro, which is situated just around the on going construction of the flyover. Just when I re-opened our earlier dIscussIon and pointing to him the visible inconsistencies from a position we sat in the eatery, then we saw the piling machine free-falling and everybody around there took to their heels. That scene was very horrible but luckily no sIngle casualty was recorded.
