Family / Divorce Is Bad O, But I Love It by jite(f): 1:00pm On Mar 21, 2016
When two or three women are gathered, there must be gist in their midst.

And salon gist is the best. “Some women have ‘mouth’. Even if a man does not want to beat them, they will push him to,” a woman said.

“My neighbour is a very quiet man. He was my husband’s classmate. His wife is a troublesome woman. We find ourselves wondering why he married her,” another woman added.

I had an urge to jump into the argument with both feet and win it. But I held off.

Biodun camdan and wait for her to finish. I know you want to say, I told my self. “Violence is not something anyone deserves.” Don’t wait to hear any yeye story, whatever happened is irrelevant the moment someone turns violent.

But because my middle-almost-name is Pay-chence I just listened.

“She heckles him every single day and he keeps quiet. We can hear her voice, they stay upstairs. One Sunday morning, we were about to get into the car to go to church when the wife flies past us in her nightgown and closely behind her is her husband carrying a knife and wearing just his boxers. She dashed across the street and a car almost knocked her down. My husband and other neighbours gave chase and caught this man. He was shaking with rage. He was ready to kill her and face the police.”

Now I am curious, what on earth led to that?

“Later when he was calm, he said he had been playing with his baby on the balcony. His wife came climbing the stairs and made a remark about him not throwing her child down. He was irritated and asked her if she thought she loved the children more than he. She started name calling as was her usual MO. He decided not to say a word. That got her even more riled up. She began to taunt him and then she dropped the big one.”

Ok, so what was the proverbial straw?

“She said, mumu man, stay there and be paying someone children’s school fees.”

Phones / Ntel Makes First Volte Call In Nigeria by jite(f): 10:00pm On Feb 25, 2016
The Chief Executive Officer of ntel, Mr Kamar Abass, on Thursday said that the telecoms company had made its first Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE) call in Lagos.

Abass made this known in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

NAN reports that NatCom Development and Investment Limited, trading as ‘ntel’, is the company that acquired the core assets of NiTel/MTel in liquidation.

It said that the test VoLTE call was made at 3.30pm at ntel’s new Tier III data centre located on Lagos Island.

The statement said that VoLTE calls were enabled over a carrier’s high-speed data network instead of on a voice network.

It said that VoLTE calls also connected faster upon dialling and featured ultra-clear high-definition voice quality.Ntel logo

According to the statement, the VoLTE call is completed in partnership with equipment manufacturers, LM Ericsson of Sweden and Sony Electronics of Japan.

”This crystal-clear, high-definition VoLTE call was made via an ntel SIM card and is set to be a significant differentiating factor for ntel, as it progresses with the roll-out of Nigeria’s largest Advanced 4G/LTE network due to be launched shortly.

”The successful test call is a confirmation that the key network elements are now in place to support the full commercial launch of premium integrated voice, video and data services over 4G/LTE.

”ntel network is built on the 900/1800 Mhz which are the most efficient propagation frequencies for the deployment of 4G/LTE technology,” the statement quoted Abass as saying.

The statement said that the VoLTE call followed ntel’s first data call on Jan. 18, and its first SIP voice call on Feb. 18.

It said that ntel would now progress work with Nigeria’s other mobile operators and international partners to perform cross-network VoLTE calls.

The statement said that the company would ensure that ntel’s customers connected with each other as easily as they could to both customers in Nigeria and to those elsewhere in the world, a network now comprising more than seven billion telephones globally.

It said that the test call was a further demonstration that ntel was fully committed to building on the acquired assets of NiTel/MTel to provide world class super-fast broadband services to support the Federal Government’s 2013 National Broadband plan.

The statement said that ntel would commence full commercial operations in its key launch states of Lagos, Abuja and Port-harcourt shortly.

Let's just say being sick sucks!!! Y'all ever wondered why we get sick even though we live "healthy" lives?. Eh, I guess that explains why smokers refuse to see the dangers of smoking. We're all gonna die one day, right? true. But I don't know, life's just crazy.

LOL, I'm too tired to articulate my own thoughts. embarassed

Of course i was much younger, being fed and provided for. A bad day was a day i couldn't get a book to read and that hardly happened. Four yrs ago. Seems more like eternity ago. Time changes everytin. Do I prefer the child i was then to the child I am now? Don't know. Am I happier now? Maybe. Maybe not. Would I like a trip back in time to fours ago? Hell yes! VIGINS GO TO HELL!!! The fact ur one doesnt make you superhuman.
Sex before marriage is a sin in the EYES of God.
Anything relating to sex fascinates us. Is why it always comes up
Being a virgin won't guarantee a happy married life
Your mate'll probably have done every dirty dirty there is
Just do the right thing=if can zip up, great.
If you can't control sex, how'll you control other aspects of your life

I remember being thrashed by my mom and big bro. I don't think they were unfair. I look back and realize if I had a child like me, I'd have strangled her to death grin.
Punishment need not be physical, yes. Taking away privileges, ecetera could work. But not always.

What pEOPle sEE
when they look at me.
arrogant, unsmiling
humble, cheerful
intelligent
unapproachable
nice, maternal
weird, introverted
dimwitted
and the list goes on
they just don't know that the me they see is the me i want them to see. i have an identity which only i know
and maybe a few chosen others i have let in
when i look at me i see me, trying not to be perfect cos perfect is boring. its the little quirks, the ability to be any thing i want that makes me a perfectly unique. that word again, PERFECT.
what the hell does it mean anyway?

@frank 3.16. my thoughts most times are scrambled, so don't try to understand.
Trust is an a gift. Anyway who takes it lightly is worthy of it in the first place. Expectations is different from trust. Trust is a child of love. The two can't be separated. (Do let me know if you find out how)
@adebayo201. I'm currently working. Based on your definition I'd say I have a boss who acts like a leader when it suits him. The lines between the two blur a lot of times that's why people confuse them.

I am invisible. I walk through a room and the air doesn't murmur. If there are bodies in it they don't stir.
I am invisible. It's the only explanation for my relationship with my world.
And so i bid my time. Listening. Watching. And when I am ready I strike. With words. They are my best friends. Words.
And suddenly the air comes alive. Bodies gasp with surprise. As much as I want to bask in the attention, I don't. Fools, I think. I was here all along and you didn't see me.
