I used to be a very big fan of diddy's hair. i even cut my afro to get it to luk like his; infact i and my siblings used his hair as a yardstick to judge d extent of waves u have on ur hair. I think he may have been under that impression, since his post says critical condition/situation. I think all of you only saw critical condition, as in hospital lol. I saw both, as in hospital and her drowning or in desperate need of help. He can explain himself later lol.

Discussion re-started for two reasons:

1. One party is the topic of this thread.
2. No, there's no "need". There's no need for anyone to do anything. Do I have to go to school? Do I have to work? Do I have to marry and have children in the future? No, but we do those things anyway because that's life. In this same life, accidents, disasters, catastrophes, etc., happen. I was under the impression that tosinville meant risking death for your wife, like running into a burning building for her, or jumping into the ocean, or trying to pull her out of a burning building. If you can stand there and watch her perish, then I wonder if you even loved her at all lol. I've heard stories of people dying, trying to save their pets, yes, I said pets, from rogue waves. I've heard of people dying, pushing a stranger out of the path of a speeding vehicle. My point is that having to give reasons as to why one won't save his wife is pathetic and abominable.

I wasnt under this same impression. Cant say d original poster was too. He was damn specific for chrissake! If d original context of this topic has suggested anything close to d impression u had, u would've gotten different better replies from all these guys that said "no". The reason for death would've made sense at least. As it stands, it doesnt make a damn sense.

EQUALITY! Men are too busy stating what they do in a relationship, women are too busy stating what they do in a relationship, una don craze. It's not about who does what. There are men who stay at home and let their wives work hectic hours. That doesn't make her more worthy pf life or vice versa. Two people bring children into a world. Granted, a woman does the 9 months, gives birth, nurses, etc., but she wouldn't have gotten their without a man in her life. A man would not have girls and/or boys as his offspring without a woman. If the two are capable of creating a child, then the two should also be capable of raising that child. "If I die, she'll more than likely remain unemployed". Unless you married a goat, such things shouldn't matter. I'm sure whomever someone marries is strong-willed and has some intelligence. She can make do as a widow, the same way the men saying "No" in this thread can make do as widowers.

Then there is no need for one party to die for d other. End of discussion!

She can easily say "no because there's no guarantee that the baby or myself or either of us will survive", but she does it because of unconditional love. There are no guarantees in life, yet we still dey.

And when d man gives up his life so that d wife might live, does it suggest that d woman luvs d husband? Pls tell me how asking your husband to take his life & give u urs shows u luv him. Women/Girls believe luv is one way. Most times they're never thinkin of what they can do; they only think of what d men can do for them. Give em chance and they will like to pluck an apple from a paw paw tree. Luv is a 2 way thing babe. If u REALLY luv your husband, u will give up your life so he might live (and that means suggestin he lives on while u die). Women are just so unbelievable! Kai!

Jesus' was a special case. It doesnt mean u cant die for someone when u're sure ur death will result in him/her living (in short it was encouraged in d same bible). There's no guarantee u'll save ur wife from what d original poster posted. What if u had kids already? Will u risk leaving them without any parent? If ur wife suggests that u do it so she might live, then it might suggest selfishness. It means she would rather have u die so she might live.

@topic: I cant. It doesnt make any sense. Girls tend to forget easily what u've done for them while u're still living. Wonder what will happen when u're dead & buried. Secondly, there is no guarantee she'll live when u're dead. It means there is a possibility two lives will be lost instead of one. Dying so she'll live is tantamount to suicide! U think God does gbadun suicide? To everything there is an appointed time, even a time for every affair under the heavens: a time for birth and a time to die (Ecclesiastes 3:1 & 2)
