It is a case of "The MORE you LOOK, the LESS you SEE!

.....and how a Church with such large followership can do damage to a party that crosses its path!

As it is, a few things can be "gossiped".

1.) T-Boboo himself knew he is in trouble and would have made efforts to "kill the investigation" using all sorts of dirty tricks, blackmail not excluded.

2.) Knowing Fashola, he would have thumbed his nose up and told T-Boboo to allow the "law to take its course".

3.) T-Boboo would have reached out to his "foot-soldiers" in the Federal Govt parastatals to please assist in "saving our church from persecution by some ALIENS in a Flying Saucer and "the other" religion (you know what l mean by that, right),
bearing in mind that Fashola is a Muslim and our people are so quick to introduce religious bigotry into scientific issues

4.) Fashola, being smart as he is, is now KILLING TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE!
He knows what the federal Govt, which is a "Committee Expert Extra-Ordinarie", will come up with, just as we all know.

Fashola has simply SHIFTED THE BURDEN of being the one to nail T-Boboo to the federal Govt (If they decide to do their work properly as Lagos has just concluded the investigations).
On the flip side, if this develops into a fiasco (due to pressure from the S/African Govt and relatives of the dead people), Fashola again, has simply wash himself "clean" as he can rightly point out that he was not responsible for the "results and emanating fiasco" since The Federal Govt has TAKEN OVER THE INVESTIGATION!
And he will get the sympathy of Nigerians for that since he has announced PUBLICLY that the Fed Govt has taken over ... from"small" Lagos state!

Either way, Fashola wins! **** Gives that Lagos Boy a standing Ovation! ***
Honestly, smartness is probably what l admire most in other people!

If "Otuoke-Master" and his PDP misfits were half as smart as a Mouse, they should have allowed Fashola to announce his findings first, blame him for a shoddy work (if the result does not suit their purpose, and by then T-Boboo's members will be poising for a showdown with Fashola's party at the coming Polls while T-Boboo himself can preach everything NEGATIVE about Fashola from now till election time ) ..

Then Otuoke-master will simply do another "investigation" which nullifies Fashola's own (or confirms it stylishly, while still taking Credit!) and at the same time satisfies T-Boboo and his throngs of firebrand and intoxicated muppets! That is a few hundreds of thousand Voters in the kitty!

Either way, Otuoke-master will win (or would have won)... but as we have seen now, [size=14pt]"Abinibi" is different from "Ability"![/size]

To Fashola, smartness is "in-born" (Abinibi)
To the federal govt, smartness is a virtue it is struggling to acquire since 1914!

Caveat: personally, l hate playing politics or religion, with important issues like these and if left to me, anyone found culpable in this tragic matter will certainly spend at least the next 15years (minimum) in Kirikiri jail.
