One of those things you have to grapple with from time to time as a supporter but to be honest, it is too early for such dangerous power play to manifest.

See eh, Buhari has the names of his ministers placed in his pocket. Those names also, i believe will surprise many peeps. Just keep calm and be hopeful... cheers!!

Lolz @ I shouldn't worry about that , when he hasn't lived up to his promise on that regards.

But if you end up knowing who and who is in the list, what will u do with it? My bro, all n still the same thing. Even if u know who's in the list, they'll still not be working until they're approved.

This is not about what I will do with the list, it is about impressing on the populace that you will walk the talk in trying to fulfill all campaign promises.

When you fail to achieve simple promises like the above, how do you hope people take you serious in the more difficult and twisted tasks ahead.

I hope he has silently communicated his ministerial list to those who matter and they have commenced action to hit the ground running as soon as they are appointed. . . . .

Being a TANOID is now synonymous to being hopeless? @first bolded, you need to ask yourself how important you really are in the grand scheme of things cos your being a doomsayer will not affect the hair on anyone's head, while at it, please remember that Nigeria is not the romance section of NL.
@second bolded, how can a sane person even think about this? That your country is beyond redemption? What are you? So, if Jonathan's administration is reinstalled then the country will go back to being the paradise it used to be under Jonathan's administration?
Pls, we understand that Nairaland helps to boost ego for some of you but take it easy with all your negativity and bitterness due to GEJs loss, cos whatever happens in Nigeria happens to each and everyone of us.

More than 10 dumb people gave you "likes and shares" . . . . .It is evident you failed to digest the import of the message Mizmycoli tried to pass. All she did was to tell you she belongs to a group of very objective persons you can count on and that she wishes the current admin well; until when the admin is rightly adjudged to be a failure.

Do you now get the drift ?

You don't need to wait for NASS for the populace to know who will be getting what portfolio in your government. Though I feel one week is too short to adequately harass the man, but BUhari/APC by virtue of their needless love for media attention did say this . . . . .

Nigeria’s incoming President, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), yesterday disclosed that his cabinet would be announced very quickly within one week of inauguration; and that “Anyone with a whiff of corruption or any kind of taint will not be in the cabinet. Our manifesto will reflect zero tolerance for corruption”.

A good thing to learn where one's predecessor has failed. Why are some complaining then?

"Mr. Déby (Chad President) showed no hint of triumphalism. Instead, he was frustrated, impatient: His men were stuck, still awaiting any sign of Nigerian forces who could come take over. He does not want to be holding Nigerian territory, he said. He wants to be on the move."

“We want the Nigerians to come and occupy, so we can advance,” Mr. Déby complained in an interview at his palace last week. “We’re wasting time, for the benefit of Boko Haram,” he added. “We can’t go any further in Nigeria. We’re not an army of occupation.”

"In the process, he has embarrassed Nigeria — a small-country president cleaning up a far bigger and richer one’s mess".
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/28/world/africa/chad-strongman-says-nigeria-is-absent-in-fight-against-boko-haram.html?_r=0

"Chadian troops have crossed into northeastern Nigerian town of Gambaru to launch a ground offensive for the first time against Boko Haram fighters that control the town bordering Cameroon, Chadian military sources have said."

"Nigeria's military said the country's sovereignty was not compromised despite the presence of Chadian ground troops on its territory.
"Nigeria's territorial integrity remains intact," Defence spokesman Chris Olukolade said, claiming national forces had "planned and are driving the present onslaught against terrorists from all fronts in Nigeria, not the Chadian forces".
http://www.aljazeera.com/news/africa/2015/02/chad-troops-enter-nigeria-fight-boko-haram-150203175257536.html

"It's a national humiliation for Nigeria to see Chad doing the job of the Nigerian military and Buhari cannot accept that," said Marc-Antoine Perouse de Montclos, fellow at London-based think-tank Chatham House.

"That doesn't mean he'll stop international cooperation... but he'll try to leave the job of fighting Boko Haram with the Nigerian army."

I might be ignorant, but the above does not look like a coordinated military campaign, nor one of pride to the nation.

Thanks for pointing out that, he did visit. I never knew he did. However, you lead by example, and a good example won't be the handling of the chibok girls saga, nor of the whole situation in general. People expect more from a country of Nigeria's calibre, and everyone knew Nigeria failed. And, like you rightly pointed out, Buhari is trying not to fail -- learning from GEJ's mistake, while drawing upon his own depth of experience.
We should hold him (Buhari) accountable, criticize him and all, but not in 2-3 working days!

All those links you furnished didn't dispel the fact that the operation to route BH wasn't planned as a coordinated front under the multinational joint action force, our neighbors can't just wazzle into our border town territories all in the name of combating BH without some form of permission by the FG. It's unfortunate things went awry along the way.

I quit agree it is too early for folks to begin castigating the man over their recent spiked attacks to make a statement, but I stand against those who feel his recent action to visit Niger and Chad was borne out of the extraordinaire .

I forgive the man though for ignorantly playing the blame card that the Nigerian forces were anti North in their fight against BH. I guess he now knows better . . . .

GEJ didn't do the same thing. He only woke up to his responsibility after 2-3 years (Buhari did in 2-3days). GEJ didn't even go see the troops until PMB was going to go see them (wasn't allowed to), that was when GEJ and his advisers remembered that would be a good thing to do, especially with the elections coming up. GEJ allowed foreign troops to fight along with our troops, on our soil. PMB is telling them to man their end. Did GEJ go visit those countries, or at least send some high ranking government, and military officials to go see what's happening there?

The BH insurgency took all our security apparatus by surprise and they had to evolve new strategies to combat them or limit their spread, Buhari visiting them shortly after ascending power ain't spectacular cos he had the privilege of learning from where the previous admin failed and adopting pros against the insurgents.

Kindly stop the deliberate ignorance, those you call foreign troops are part of the multinational joint action force comprising of Nigeria and our neighbors. It didn't just happened by chance but was a course championed from the previous admin in seeking for the cooperation from neighbors especially Chad and cameroun where the insurgents held sway. Even Buhari accused the previous admin of been too harsh with BH, we are not that slow to decipher certain hypocrisies from our leaders and their supporters alike.

GEJ did visit Chad ( in 2014) and constantly pleaded with them before that visit especially Cameroonian authorities to join the fight in depriving them of safe havens. The neighboring countries stood aloof until when the insurgents grew bolder in extending their days of terror to their host countries in kidnapping of key individuals and foreignes (in cameroun) and blocking of trade routes( in Chad) . . . . .

I am still trying to understand why it is hard for some people to understand that you can NEVER flush out BH as long as they can always skip the fence to Chad, Niger, and Cameroun.

Since we don't own those countries, and can't colonize them, nor pursue the escapees across the border, wouldn't it be a wise thing to first secure assurances and cooperation from those countries first, before attempting to blow out BH?

#strategicplanning101

And you feel this approach is novel and wasn't explored by the previous admin ? A move the APC men mocked our of sheer quest to acquire power at all cost . . . . . .

Now they are in power and are adopting the same strategy . . . . . Very convenient I must say . . . . . .

The Ekiti State Government has begun the payment of April salary with an assurance that all verified workers would receive their pay before Friday.

The Head of Service, Gbenga Faseluka, said the payment began last Friday with the core civil service comprising Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

Faseluka assured that the public service made up of the Teaching Service Commission, Hospitals Management Board as well as other parastatals would be paid before Friday.

He added that workers who could not be verified last week due to observed default in the required documents are to undergo a second round of checks at the designated verification centres.

The Head of Service thanked the workers for their cooperation and understanding.

The Head of Service assured that Governor Ayo Fayose would continue to give priority attention to the welfare of workers even as the present administration has not defaulted in payment of salaries since its emergence in October 2014.
