It depends on the processing. If you peel the Cassava and leave to dry in the Sun, the Amala will come out white.

The one from Cassava is white, we call it Lafun while those from Yam and Plantain are usually dark or brown.

Yes, parents like to see their children progress, but not all parents brag about their children's achievement. To be honest with you, my parents can't brag about buying cars or building mansions when they see those things as normal thing. Anyway, they are well to do though.
