dopeJemi:The ogogoro dey are drinking here is of a variety not known to man.. He said Bakayoko has similar passing range to Yaya Toure... Hahahahahahaha
|
funlord:Choi!! I nor see this before... Shekpe people are always so disappointing |
Fvcking asslicking w@nker... He just had to show his Mourinho hate.
|
eph12:Westbrom, Brighton, bournemouth, newcastle, burnley....these are very beatable teams. I was pointing out how we say things you just said about Liverpool. Is that not the arrogance we are still talking about? |
Oasis007:Simply what i have been saying. This arrogant attitude of our fans believing every team big or small is some sort of farmers team that we should be beating home and away is pure delusion. You can't win it all, draw what you can and look on to games you can win. Respect your opponent. Respect your opponent and you will win come end of the season. I am no Mourinho fan but after what we've been through since fergie I'll support anything that will keep us safe at the top and even if don't win the league, i won't bitch about it because we would have made significant progress we've not had since 2013. We once went 30 something years without winning the league, will i be scared we'd even go ten years without winning it twice or thrice in this era, definitely not. |
Lana1:Alot of us have problems being set in an idea and not backing down from it. Where are we better positioned to win the league, being at 6th or around 2 or 3rd looking to overtake whoever is first when they drop points. One of the problems I've noticed with us fans (and i think our past managers suffered it too hence some of the weird statements they made to the press just to tell the fans to calm the fvck down) is our arrogance. A very filthy form of it. In our minds we should destroy everybody in the league and be topping the table from beginning to the end. I don't think Chelsea, Arsenal, City or Tottenham fans are as bullish as us when it comes to winning the epl because of our recent past. It's a marathon not a sprint. Too bad if you can't accept that there will be days like these and more to come but the end will justify the means. We have a proven winner in charge, We keep at 2nd, keep fighting to remain and head up.. Thats simply what i stated. I don't know whatelse you are trying to say? |
Maybe, just maybe if we see it this way we would understand. We were playing Liverpool away on a hot afternoon and the first match of the day after returning from an international break, we've lost our best midfielders and on top of that our best defender. That would put us in a precarious situation if we should lose because Chelsea, Arsenal, City and Tottenham were expected to come away with wins. It then met if Arsenal and Chelsea had won they'd be on 16 points each, and if we lost we'd just be 3 points above them and 2 points above Tottenham who won. That means it comes down to the next games for those teams to level with us or climb above united on the table... To make matters worse we have two of those teams in our next 3 epl games. Would you risk loosing 3 points with Chelsea and Tottenham closing on you and coming up against you in the next games? I wouldn't. In fact i'd field 7 defenders if possible! And Mourinho set out for a point and i am sure he would be celebrating and having a party after seeing Chelsea and Arsenal drop so much points he probably didn't think both of them would. It then means if we get another 3 points against Huddersfield and come up with a draw away to Chelsea or hopefully a win or worse draw to Tottenham at home, we will still be above them by a good number of points and that's like half our big games out of the way. All i am saying is at the end of the day, the manager set up to draw this game to better compete by season's end even SAF was applauding him after the game. I just know this year would be different. Lukaku will step up against the small teams to get the points we lost last season and we might have to draw the away big games which i believe we wont' do for all because we still have Ibrahimovic returning back to add some experience to our inexperienced attack and our long ball games when we need them. By the time all our players return from injury and hopefully stay fit, all this sulkiness and complaining will stop. We still have the best squad in the league, take it or leave it. I am not moved by some clueless attackers at City. Attacks win games, defense win titles. |
patrickmuf:Very Apt.. Italian Tony Pulis with a dose of Pashun ![]() |
funlord:Watching this highlight was orgasmic.. Nothing gives me more joy than seeing Italian football being as tight and as exciting as it used to be in years past. That was a proper derby, fans on the edge of their seat all game. |
Elxandre:What's memorable in football when the only trophy you win is the "tiki taka" trophy and the "we play exciting football" trophy. If you like complain about Mourinho from now till tomorrow because if i ask you for a replacement you think will bring your kind of football as well as trophies, you'll start blabbing. |
odizeey:BLESS YOU! We know how to overflog issues unnecessarily here. Anyway knowing Jose Mourinho and someone who has countlessly said he leaves clubs (or maybe forced out) when there is nothing interesting him anymore he won't be building any 20 years dynasty here, not in this era... At Chelsea it was the players, the owner.. At United its the fans looking for Barcelonaesque football, the legends and the press who can't stay off writing some nasty stuff about United and how we play so they can sell. All in all, who could we be looking at to start grooming now before he leaves? |
Leyqute:Alright points taken |
kelvinze:Well i like Herrera, i really do but this statement from Mourinho is damning 'I'm not criticising (Klopp). As a coach you are on the bench and you try to anticipate things and I had no midfielder to do what I could do many, many times which is to be with three strong midfield players and then give more freedom to my three attacking players. |
Leyqute:Oga Leyqute calm down. Yes because of Mourinho's history, everyone will be going hands in the air because of our defensive display yesterday, but the truth is he used to set up against big teams like this all through his career, teams even in the caliber of a not so good Liverpool. For Mourinho, the bigger picture is more than fantastic football with strings of losses or draws which is why we all laugh at Liverpool today. They play exciting attacking football but one of the poorest defense of the top 6. Now do you go toe to toe against a team everyone knows turns up against the big boys but are pussies against the average teams. Definitely No! At the end of the season, we will be here again with Mourinho lifting another trophy or two and Liverpool looking towards another year. Look at the big picture man. I swore for Mourinho yesterday but i am not fickle enough to realize SAF won many titles playing some of the saddest football just to get those points on board and get us challenging end of season. Except many of us have short term memories, i may have to pull out YouTube videos as reminders if i can find them. I am even suprised you are angry about our play. It was here all of us were complaining that we would have been top 4 or challenging for the title last season if we could get a few draws n wins against the top 6 but destroy the small teams and get the points which frankly is what we are doing this year. |
No one is even interested in Arsenal anymore... nawaoo |
nitrogen:Okay i mistook you for someone else. About your last statement, i already know long before Mourinho returned to Chelsea that a leopard never changes its spot. I know we will keep playing like this against the big team. He sets his team to hope on the luck of a goal or two against any big side and worst a draw. Na him way be that wey i don accept as the sad reality. |
nitrogen:You pull out a table showing Chelsea 1 point behind after 10 games.. yet you want to tell us that after Chelsea has amassed as many number of losses this season in 7 games compared to 38 games last season, they will win the league. That because you are the most optimistic person in the world Chelsea who are 13 points, 2 points short of United in 2016 in your image and who eventually ended 6th will somehow close a 9 point gap with City and 7 with United this year and win the league. Please oga this is not the 90's anymore when teams used to come and close 10, 15 points gap to win dramatically on the last day. You are not going to win the league this season. Don't delude yourself that you can win the league shuffling between the Champions league and premier league which was the only thing that allowed you win the league last time. This time i am sorry, you guys are awful, loosing even more games than any of the top 6 teams to the poorest teams in the league. You are back to the middle table team you guys always are after winning a title. |
Wow! Lost to the worst team in the league..Conceded twice to the worst team in the league who have never scored or won before today. |
The scary aspect of all these is we have the champions league to deal with this season. There will not be crap Anderlecht and Celta Vigo teams. Na so we go dey back trailers against any big team we meet? God help us! |
Nihilist:Let them be deceiving themselves with defensive masterclass. The years De Gea was our player of the year, what was our league finishes? Anybody with a speck of sense and a Fibre of honor in them will know this is disgraceful. De Gea yet again saving us with a super human reflex when it should have been martial, Lukaku or any other player giving a game of his life. In a derby at the home of a terribly poor team that has seen teams score in their home, we dey labor to even get ball reach attack... instead playing Westbrom football. Tufiakwa |
The manager is a coward with this Westbrom football.. the players even worse |
Please did Mkhytaryan return back home? |
hmmm 4-3-3 with young on the right and Miki in the middle... Not bad. Will miss bailly |
SAMBHOSS:Okay thanks.. |
And that was how i burnt 700MB on Kingsman: Golden Circle only to hear it's an Hindi Dubbed Sh1t... Been looking for this movie i need help |
dubylhover:It's the same with Ibrahimovic.. Looks fit, walks around fine but not really fit and not ready |
Skimpledawg:Honestly i used to think any need for this? Until one day i was arguing with someone and i quoted what Mourinho and some united players said and we had to search online to verify those quotes before i won the guy flawlessly. It was then i realized na here i see am. Othertimes he helps us keep to football when we are drifting into other meaningless discussions. keep up the good work Oasis007. |
So let me get this straight. They just lost a friend and the next minute they were loading their car with huge sums, spraying in the street and partying? Or am i failing to get the timeline? |
pharod:South American teams played qualifiers on the 5 and 6th of sept, on the 9th the players were on the pitch again for a hot afternoon kickoff with Firminho, Bravo, Moraes, Otamendi, Fernadinho, Gabriel Jesus, Aguero playing in the Man City vs Liverpool game. You don't bench your best players even if they arrived on the eve of the game. |
Leyqute:It's really shocking how they failed to atleast beat Trinidad and Tobago or even draw with a better goal difference. Really wanted to see what Pulisic will bring to the world cup. Sad that won't happen. |
dubylhover:Yea it's a great goal. Not really into the Messi hype though but finally he has learned that with Argentina, he has to be completely selfish and do it on his own. I was keeping tabs on the other games from the USA group and following live reactions as the other games that would have doomed Argentina where going on. It was just great to see the reactions everywhere especially thr one Panama qualifies for playoffs at the expense of a USA nobody was considering would fall out in that spectacular fashion. Seems electing a bad leader is affecting every facet of their life as a country. In fact in some forums there were claims the mexicans rolled over to get Honduras through because of their hate for Trump. |
