Cameroonian troops pursuing Boko Haram fired rocket-propelled grenades indiscriminately that killed a family of four, then shot and killed two other civilians, trapped Nigerian villagers told the Associated Press on Tuesday. It's the latest of several reports accusing the military of Cameroon of killing scores of Nigerian civilians and razing villages in an apparent attempt to create a no-go zone along the border. Cameroon's government has denied previous similar charges, which come amid rising tensions between Nigeria and its neighbours over the Islamic uprising that has spilled over Nigeria's borders. Muhammad Abba, deputy commander of a civilian self-defence group, said relatives telephoned him, on Tuesday, to describe how one grenade exploded through the grass roof of a hut and killed a family of four in the northeastern village Ashigashiya on Monday. http://newsplus.com.ng/cameroon-military-killed-four-nigerians-two-other-civilians-in-a-fight-against-boko-haram/ |

All may not be well at the moment between popular blogger, Linda Ikeji and Psquare’s Peter Okoye. This may not be unconnected with a perceived controversial report that she published about the singer on her blog at night on Sunday, September 20th. The report, which was titled, “What’s going on here with Peter PSquare and a fan?” shows the picture of the singer and a fan in a deep lip-lock. It was observed that less than 10 minutes after, the blogger quickly yanked off the update from her website without any explanation. In its space now lies a comment that reads, “Sorry, the page you were looking for in this blog does not exist.” http://naijaportal.com.ng/linda-ikeji-and-peter-okoye-having-issues/ |
