not here to make any case for Etx. They also delayed me for about 8 months or so. However, the truth is that its the school not ETX
Etx can't have ur transcript and not send it. I did a thorough investigation on this, so i am sure of what I'm saying
Etx has their own problems too with their lacklustre attitude, but a bulk the of it, is from the school
And in school like Uniben u have to enforce Servicom rule on them strictly, if u wish to get ur transcript on time
That's how I was able to get my transcript to the ETX desk after about 8months (took me just a week with servicom after I'd waited for 8months and its free) and it took less that 48hours for Etx to have it delivered

Etx actually mean well, Nigeria universities are frustrating their efforts

Many days for the Ole but one day for the Gunner���

Looking at it from the standpoint of Nigeria's educational system, both of them are useless in naija(let's be realistic)
Just be excellent n explore other areas while in school,work hard to attain this unique form of excellence that will make u stand different among your peers.

agreed the aforementioned courses are highly underappreciated and underutilized in Nigeria and securing a job may be somewhat hard, as is every course in this country right now, if I may add

yeah all my guys that gat the invite, non was above 64
.....I haven't seen any 70% oh, let alone any that was invited o.... You are the highest i have seen so far

From what I can see those among the first 300 have gotten the mail. Only the winners have not been invited. cos all my friends have gotten the mail( I have not gotten the mail and I score below 50). I think only those that scored somewhere between 65 and above who are likely going to be the winners have not gotten the mail.

It is divided into 3 sessions - catch it soon and innovative ideas.
On catch it soon, letters or the mixture of letters and numbers will be displayed and you'll be asked to memorize and recite it after a given period of time.
On innovative ideas, it is either you present and defend an innovative project or you write an essay on any of the topics that will be given to you.

I made it to the finals, but my school is in South South zone. So, we had our exams at Faculty of Engineering, Uniben.

I attended the final round. The contest is really legit. There is no scam about it.

Just call servicom and provide them all this your details ( as long as you are sure you don't have any problem with the school). Something will be done about it and its free of charge. Transcript processing should not exceed 21 days, that's servicom law.

After battling with my school and etx-ng for almost 5months. Someone told me about servicom and i reported the issue to them. Lo and behold I gat my transcript delivered within 2weeks
Although the school didn't find the issue funny with me... I really can't go into detail but try servicom

Trust me it always happens to almost all final year students especially those below 25. so don't take it too personally.
I remember missing out on almost all my final year test and group assignments. My own problem started when it became clear to me, that no matter how hard I read I was never going to make 1:1. Reading became pointless to me.. I literarily started balling, a lot of mixed feelings set in and all I wanted was to graduate as soon as possible so I can get the freak out of the hellside school

let ur set standard become ur motivation

U must maintain ur standard. if not you will be disappointed with yours when you set eyes on your transcript

Op I must be realistic with you. Your best bait is to go for your masters and PhD so you can become a lecturer. Along the line, take up teaching jobs in sec schools to support yourself financially and also do a diploma in education to give you an edge.

Prepare your mind for the above while you pray for a miracle to happen along the way so you can probably land a job in other big organizations.

Don't listen to anybody telling you that you will work as medical representative! You have no knowledge of pharmacology and no good pharmaceutical company will employ you for such because the job requires a sound knowledge of pharmacology to deliver. There are medical detailing to be done, clinical meetings and so on. You need to convince the doctors and healthcare professionals on why they should prescribe your drugs. Good companies know that only pharmacists are in a position to do that job. That is why they spend money to employ pharmacists for the role. Only poor companies, mostly one-man businesses who cannot afford to pay pharmacists would employ just anybody to pay them peanuts. I was once a victim of such poor companies and so i am advising you from experience. Follow my advice above or write JAMB to choose a better course. A word is enough for the wise!

very good write up...... aside the write jamb and choose a better course part. Trust me this is Nigeria.. No course is guaranteed anymore though some are advantageous no doubt
But if you love Biology..then get you Bsc-stamp it with an Msc and then crown it with PhD..the good thing is you will have to spend roughly the same time it takes an average Nigerian student to get an MBBS ..to also get those.. most especially if you get money for a private university
knowledge is still power...get loads of it

nothing o...I even sent an email requesting for update ...buh no reply

I personally prefer marine biology, as Nigeria has a lots of water bodies for projects and other studies ..and most sch has analyzing equipments, so u won't have to spend much on travelling around Nigeria ,looking for a well stocked lab.. cell biology and genetics on the other hand can be very tacky in Nigeria ..u will not be able to do research in some area, as the equipments/apparatus are not in d country or the ones available are very crude. But which ever one you go for is great. However Nigeria has a lot of hydrobiologist and marine biologist, we need more geneticist and cytologist.
