Good day Great Nigerians. We have been preaching CHANGE for some months now but I know the change we all desire starts with YOU & ME... Listed here are a few actions that we as Nigerians should start doing so that the CHANGE will indeed be a CHANGE for good. "CHANGE!" STARTS WITH YOU! When someone in the car ahead of you throws wastes on the road, drive next to him, roll down your window & shout, "change!" #ChangeNigeria When you are on a queue and someone tries to force his way in front, scream "change!!". #ChangeNigeria. At the point of entry at either the air or sea port, if a Custom or Immigration official is trying to collect bribe. Shout "Change". # Change Nigeria A landlord that 'habitually' increases house rent. Shout to him "Change". # Change Nigeria Any irregularity in the measurement of food items in the market or the display of fake products in a supermarket or drug store. Shout "Change". #Change Nigeria Any lecturer that wants to collect bribe either in cash or in kind. Shout to him "Change". # Change Nigeria Any public or private servant that is stealing our national heritage. Shout "Change".# Change Nigeria#. When a police officer stops your car and says "Oga, anything for the boys?", tell him, "change!". #ChangeNigeria When you walk past any Nigerian who throws paper or banana peel on the floor, please stop him and tell him, "change!". #ChangeNigeria. If the church near your house is using a loud speaker to disturb the neighbourhood, visit the Pastor and say, "Change!" #ChangeNigeria If the mosque near your house is using a loud speaker to disturb the neighbourhood, visit the Imam and say, "Change" #ChangeNigeria If you are in a vehicle and the driver is driving like someone possessed, shout "Change!" #ChangeNigeria. When somebody is trying to jump a queue at either the bank or the fuel station or the ATM stand shout "Change". #change Nigeria# When an Electricity official cuts your light unjustly shout "Change". # Change Nigeria# If someone is answering a phone and lies about his/her location, shout "Change"# If you are a friend to a man/woman who goes to meet another woman/man and deceives his/her wife/husband that he/she is traveling on an official duty, whisper "CHANGE!" When a fuel attendant tries to short-dispense fuel into your car remind him about "Change. Even if you are abroad and find people talking hopelessly about Nigeria, tell them CHANGE. " #Change Nigeria# when a police officer ask for money for bail or ask you to pay for any services, tell him CHANGE! A security operative at any public places ask or beg for tips, shout CHANGE! You see any students going to school late tell him or her CHANGE! A politician promising what he can't fulfill or using money to induce voters, shout CHANGE! Change starts when you add your own inputs and forward this message to your contacts!!!!!!! When someone books space on Nairaland or write FirstToComment or FTC...Tell them CHANGE!!! |

In spite of fierce opposition from lawmakers of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the senate on Wednesday screened Musiliu Obanikoro for a ministerial position. He was asked to take the customary “bow” – a preferential treatment for former senators – effectively confirming him as a minister. A row had broken out at the senate over the screening. The first attempt last week had ended in chaos. Obanikoro, former minister of state for defence, resigned his position last year to seek the Lagos governorship ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but lost to Jimi Agbaje. His renomination by President Goodluck Jonathan was opposed by senators of the APC over his role in the use of soldiers alleged to have manipulated the 2014 governorship election in Ekiti state. Gbenga Ashafa, the senator representing Lagos east, had raised a point of order challenging the attempt to screen Obanikoro. Ashafa, who said Obanikoro has a pending case in court, brought out a copy of The Nation Newspaper to butress his point. He further said David Mark, president of the senate and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), were joined in the suit. But Mark ruled him out of order, saying the court is yet to serve him in that regard. “You don’t serve me on the pages of the newspaper. As far as I am concerned, there is no case in court, so I rule you of order,” Mark said Source: http://www.thecable.ng/just-row-senate-obanikoro | TheCable
