Hello Sir, I need a Nigerian used car about 1.5million, automatic with working air-conditioning. I was looking around the net for the likes of Toyota matrix, Kia Rio, Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai accent, Mazda CX-5, Mazda CX-7(heard the turbo charger is a problem). I need a car that I can easily mantain. |
Hello Sir, Is the Kia Rio serving you very well? Is it a strong car. I want to buy for my wife. Do you think a woman can easily maintain it like Toyota cars? NlGERlA: |

Which expectations has he exceeded? He is falling very much short in environmental management. Improper refuse dumping blocking drains has been the single biggest factor making these erosions worse and yet we appoint commissioner for environment every tenure. Is their work, to identify erosion sites and start working on them after they have swallowed houses? They should be proactive. What is the big deal about environmental management? Looking out for loose soil and planting grasses or trees with fibrous roots. Since they have come out to say drainage systems must be connected, how many have they really connected? People are throwing away plastics everywhere without care. Something that does not decay for long number of years thereby preventing soil from binding. Why can't we enforce laws, make people manufacturing pure water, bottled water, disposable plates and other single use plastics to increase the price and buy back the used ones? Why can't we teach the masses how to compost their wastes in their various compounds, incenerate the others, keep the plastic and bottles for companies to come by each house and buy it back. If the government cannot manage waste disposal just like education before Governor Peter Obi, they should hand it over to the churches. Simple things like this , and black man fails at it. I feel so bad whenever I am in Nigeria and see the rate at which refuse dumps are filled to over five times it's capacity and the government is yet to evacuate it. People should also be flogged for dropping wastes as they are producing it anywhere they are. They should hold onto the waste till they get to a point where there is a refuse bin to dispose them. Also cutting down tress should be done by government. If the tree poses a danger to lives, you report to the local government. EasternActivist: |

Good evening Mr. Kenneth. I admire your contributions, your love for your tribe and Enugu in particular. But to call a spade a spade, you should know better not to call those assemblage of Igloos, building materials market. Which part of building material will fit into those tiny spaces? Can any size of timbre or steel rod fit into those spaces? If not, is it meant to be offices? Is that the kind of office you wish government to provide for our people if it is to be called office? Why would traders transacting millions of naira daily be subjected to such inhuman place to ply their trade and spend up to 10hrs of their daily life? If need be to use the toilet/washroom, they travel a quarter of a kilometre to do so. This is unkind and cruel of the government and the contractor. This is 2020 and our government are still subjecting the citizens to living in the stone age. ckenneths: |
Poverty is a state of mind. Many beggars are better off than the people they solicit arms from. So many Nigerians living within are better off than the ones living outside Nigeria, but will still be begging them for help. Going by Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs; food, water and shelter being the basic. Igbos are better off than the west. We prioritize needs to wants better than the rest of the country. We learnt it from our parents. Our parents learnt the bitter way from Biafra war. We save the best for the last. I have other strong points, but I rather not spill some street secrets here. Knowledge is Power. horsepower102: |
Let me douse your fears a little but also point out the truth. I am a statistician. In reality more money exchanges hands in the west, including among Igbos living in the west. The research doesn't take into cognizance who is an indigene or not. Between the west and the east from a simple statistical analysis by any expert, they are better off. If you know the wealth generated through mechanised agriculture in the west, it is astonishing. From cocoa to cashew, palm oil, timbre(wood), Cassava, maize even vegetables. The service industry there is more pronounced with the likes of Apapa, Tincan wharf also MMIA Ikeja situated in the south west. Journalism is a multibillion naira industry ( Time Warner Inc is a good example). Entertainment industry has shifted to the west even our best talents like Nkem owoh, Mr Ibu are now part of film productions in the west. Mr Ibu used to be resident in the east now living in Lagos. By film industry I mean films shot with 35mm cameras suitable for cinemas, screened and appraised internationally. Or should I start with I.T sector, start ups springing up/headquartered in the west eg andela and google... The west has the largest cement deposit in Ewekoro Ogun state. The largest bitumen deposit is in Ondo. Osun has gold. So many mining activities exist in the south west and corresponding number of service industries attend to them. Companies in the west service a larger population and therefore are willing to pay more salary. And they are near to their target market consequently their logistics cost is greatly reduced. On the flip side, we should be grateful for our God given qualities of ingenuity, tenacity and spirit of competition that distinguishes us. Our people migrate to the west, break even, gather wealth and return to the east to develop our villages. Housing is the easiest way to spin the GDP of any community or enclave. The USA housing bubble of 2008 sent the GDP of the whole world tumbling down. When you build more than 70% of every human economic activity is impacted and money circulates. Save for the housing boom happening in the east occasioned by the Aku ruo Uno mantra, Kwashiorkor will resurface in some areas. The federal government have long neglected the south easterners, so we learnt to survive and developed good managerial traits. So peripherally, we live in good houses in the east, potable water is easily dug, we manage little money well with our high IQ and present a good front. Satisfaction/contentment is great gain. So despite all odds we hold our head high and they accuse us of chest beating. I am a proud chest beater. horsepower102: |
Why is he mourning these 3? Is it that they are more human than the ones massacred in Plateau state or his native state Katsina last month? Is he mocking the southerners that the perpetrator was caught for killing just 3 people while his people have been killing in tens and hundreds and still escaping being caught? I bet this news is not from the table of the president. If he is mourning this 3 students while not mourning the other victims of more horrific massacres, that goes to say the news of those other bouts of gruesome murders doesn't get to his desk. God help us!!! |
It is likely to be tuberculosis but not the pulmonary type that comes with cough. Your immune is still fighting it but with occasional relapses. Are your nodes still swollen(maybe in the neck or in the groin region)? Eat healthy and take well deserved rest like Aisha Buhari. May God see you through. |
Good evening my brothers and Sisters. How many of you remember this post? joeisreal: Good morning, my brothers and sisters from the indomitable Igbo tribe of eastern Nigeria. I have read your submissions with utmost attention and it resonates with a strong pounding thought in me of recent. But we have said so much and yet nothing on ground to match our knowledge base which many have poured out here. I think it is my Eureka moment and I therefore want to put my money/action where my mouth is. It will be geared towards our emancipation and all of the great contributors to this thread will be called upon shortly to become part of a great renaissance. Stay tuned! To start with please someone should recommend a web developer that knows his craft and will not cost me my net worth. I will contact him and it will be the beginning of an era... If you do. go to www.jaratalk.com and start a new topic. Invite other members too. |
Check out www.jaratalk.com and help migrate some people you know to the site. horsepower101: |
And he had to travel to London, collect all the allowances for the trip. Sleep in a cosy upscale hotel just to tell us that someone was killed. I bet another assistant in the ministry of information is praying for another death so he/she can travel to Washington DC to issue a statement too. |
Raker300 did not do justice with those drone shots of Nnewi. Next time you visit ask of Umuanuka community Otolo nnewi near Dr. Ifeanyi Uba's house. Okpuno egbu Umudim, Uru industrial estate, Our lady of assumption cathedral, areas around Maria Regina comprehensive school. There are numerous other areas that showcases the stupendous wealth of Nnewi indigenes. Close to the Stadium you could have captured the Beverly Hills Hotel. Please go back and do justice to Nnewi by taking more aesthetically pleasing pictures. |
