CFCfan: The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has announced a newly adopted strategy that would ensure that any person caught using the mobile phone while driving, would no longer be fined but immediately taken to court and jailed.

Corp Marshal, FRSC, Mr. Osita Chidoka said other offences like speed driving, dangerous overtaking and overloading would equally attract court action instead of the usual fines.

The FRSC boss, who was speaking at a news conference in Abuja, said these new measures are part of a newly launched campaign to reduce the increased spate of road crashes in the country.

Commercial bus drivers are now expected to install speed limit devices in their vehicles so they henceforth should not exceed 100km per hour.

National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) however admitted that some drivers are guilty of the aforementioned road accident causing crimes.

The FRSC says it is partnering with several organizations including oil companies to fulfill its promise to make Nigerian roads one of the safest in the world by the year 2020.

I could remember many years ago when we'll were young, whenever we will go to toilet and we are in the same place deficating, we'll say we should move a bit distance from each other.

Is a pity that, their is always a fight in wukari local government area of taraba state. Just today morning i went out then came back to sleep so that i will rest. As i was sleeping i dreamt that, their is a fight and as i woke up then hear people talking about the fight. Like play like play it became a very big thing. And the fight is btw xtian and Muslims, just because they were taking an elderly man to bury and as tradition and culture, if any of an elderly man is dead before they will take him for burial they will move round the town with the man before they will bury the him and just because they followed the front of their mosque and then the people then started saying that, why will they follow there. And that was how it started so i will like you our brothers and sisters in Christ should help us pray so that the Lord will help us.
