People have come up with all sort of things with their body as far as it will fetch them more money. Some step out at night to sell their bodies to men while others find it more convenient to take up office jobs or start up a business of their own. A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to reveal what she intends to do with her big breast. Identified as Niki baby (@_Nikiwinks_) on Twitter, she disclosed that she has decided to monetize that part of her body. Niki added that, rather than people staring endlessly at her massive chest, she would put it up for rent so people can pay for advert spaces. Her post reads: “See I have big breast and a lot of people like to look at it, come and rent advert space on my chest. I will just wear your shirt and be walking upandan Lagos. What do you think? Seriously, I want to draft a proposal, register an ad agency if I can and do something with this. It might sound like a joke but I feel this can be something. Serious people only please. If you're a big breasted girl and you think you could wear a shirt and talk to people about products then please like this post and I will reach out to you. This is not a joke nor is it prostitution. Just using our God given assets to put food on the table without laying on our.”What do you think? Source: JoelsBlog Lalasticlala Mynd44 Farano MissyB3 Dominique

A top executive at one of Nigeria’s largest banks has been held by anti-graft investigators over a series of transactions his bank allegedly carried out on behalf of one of Nigeria’s largest oil-producing states, Rivers. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is alleging that the transactions, at least N117 billion in value, are suspicious in nature but that Zenith failed to report them as demanded by law. Insiders at the EFCC and Zenith Bank said Mr. Amangbo was held to explain why his bank failed to document the withdrawals, allegedly done over a three-year period, as suspicious. Mr Amangbo was first invited for questioning on August 23, sources said. But he was freed on administrative bail and asked to return on August 24 for further interrogation. He honoured the arrangement, turning himself in again at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja. Our sources said the top banker was however not allowed to return home on Friday. “He was still being quizzed as at 4 p.m. on Sunday,” one source said. Reports claim At least four other officials are being sought in the investigation The suspects considered to be at large include Fubara Similari, whom investigators identified as the director of finance and account at the Government House in Port Harcourt. The Government House cashier is also said to be on the run. READ FULL STORY HERE Mynd44 OAM4J |

NIGERIAN POLICE DENY RESTRICTING SAMUEL OGUNDIPE'S ACCESS TO A LAWYER! The Nigeria Police on Thursday publicly admitted they were detaining PREMIUM TIMES’ journalist, Samuel Ogundipe over documents he used for a published story. The police did not say the story or documents use for it was false, but said they were determined to know how Mr Ogundipe had access to the “classified document.” The spokesperson for the police, Jimoh Moshood, stated this during a protest at the Force Headquarters by various groups for the release of Mr Ogundipe who was arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad on Tuesday. A number of groups, including Action Aid, Enough is Enough, Socialist Party of Nigeria, and Education Rights Campaign participated in the protest demanding the release of the journalist While addressing the protesters, Mr Moshood engaged in double speak. While addressing the protesters, Mr Moshood engaged in double speak. “We are not saying tell us the source of your story, we are saying tell us where the document emanates from,” he said. The police have since his arrest on Tuesday been putting pressure on Mr Ogundipe to disclose his source for the story which revealed a report sent to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo by the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris. In the report, the police chief indicted the former director general of the State Security Service, Lawal Daura, for last week’s siege at the Senate. On Thursday, Mr Moshood accused Mr Ogundipe of “theft of classified documents” used in writing the story. He said Mr Ogundipe was arrested and arraigned in line with constitutional provision, insisting the police were committed to respect for the rule of law. Mr Ogundipe was arraigned on Wednesday at a Magistrate court in Kubwa. He was denied legal representation despite insisting he wanted one. Mr Moshood later on Thursday issued a statement after the protest. “It is factual to state that Mr. Samuel Ogundipe was arrested on the 14th of August, 2018 and on completion of preliminary Investigation, he was arraigned in a court of competent jurisdiction in the FCT in less than Twenty Four (24) Hours of his arrest. He was remanded to Police custody and the case was adjourned to Monday, 20th August, 2018,” he said in the statement. “Mr. Samuel Ogundipe is also being investigated and prosecuted under other offences which violate Official Secret Act, Cyber Crime Act, and the Penal Code Law for which he has volunteered statements and is standing trial,” At the protest ground, Mr Moshood argued that Nigeria’s Freedom of Information law does not protect providing such information to the public. “Even the FOI Act limits access to classified information. The matter is already before the court and as a Nigerian he has the right to defend himself. But where a document that is classified goes out, we also have a duty to ask how it was leaked,” Mr Moshood said while speaking to journalists and other protesters. “What has happened will be investigated and we will take appropriate action and you (the media) will be involved. The spokesperson claimed that the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, did not order Mr Ogundipe’s arrest. “At all, the order didn’t come from the IG. People should disabuse their minds that the IGP ordered for his arrest,” the police spokesperson said. When asked why Mr Ogundipe was denied the opportunity of being represented by his lawyer, Mr Moshood, again, feigned ignorance, stating that he did not know the journalist was denied access to his lawyer. “Do you have his lawyer here? I am not aware that he was denied access to his lawyer and the court didn’t know he is a journalist. “I was not the prosecutor, I was not the investigator but I will go and get the fact from them. If the lawyer was not informed, me I don’t know. You’re just telling me. “If his lawyer is here, he can follow me so that we can meet the investigator. Everybody taken to court has a right to a lawyer,” he said. He said Mr Ogundipe’s bank account was frozen “because it’s part of the investigation process.” One of the protesters, Deji Adeyanju, who spoke with PREMIUM TIMES, condemned detention of the journalist. “This is a deliberate attempt to frustrate Samuel and other journalists. This is not just bad for the image of the country, it is bad for the image of the police and it is bad for the image of this government. “Samuel Ogundipe is a Nigerian. He’s one of us. If this can happen to Samuel, it can happen to any other journalist. “This whole idea of forcing a journalist to reveal his source by the police is wrong. The constitution is very clear. The court has ruled that the police or any other security agency cannot compel a journalist to reveal his source even if they want to torture him to a point of death,” he said. Mr Ogundipe, who covers the security beat for PREMIUM TIMES, was arrested on Tuesday by the police and secretly arraigned at a magistrate court in Abuja on Wednesday. The police asked Mr Ogundipe to disclose his source for a story, a demand that goes contrary to ethical journalism. On Wednesday, Mr Ogundipe was arraigned without access to a lawyer. The editor-in-chief of the newspaper, Musikilu Mojeed, and education reporter, Azeezat Adedigba, were also briefly held by the police on Tuesday; but were later released. The arrests have sparked global condemnation with calls for Mr Ogundipe’s immediate release. Local and international groups, including Amnesty International, have slammed the federal government for attempting to intimidate and muzzle the press and asked Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to intervene. Mynd44 OAM4J PLS STOP HINDERING THIS NEWS |
Detained PREMIUM TIMES journalist, Samuel Ogundipe, has narrated how he was secretly arraigned at a Magistrate Court in Kubwa on Wednesday afternoon. The police, through the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), on Tuesday arrested and detained Mr Ogundipe, asking him to disclose his source for a story. The deputy commissioner of police handling the supposed investigation, Sani Ahmadu, earlier briefed PREMIUM TIMES’ staff and the company’s lawyer at the detention facility of the SARS in Abuja where Mr Ogundipe is being held, around 10 a.m. in the morning. He said no action would be taken until 4:00 p.m., the time he asked the lawyer to return. But like most actions of the police since the targeted attack at PREMIUM TIMES began on Saturday, that turned out to be a ruse and deceit. Mr Ogundipe was charged with criminal trespass and theft of police document around 1 p.m. He was denied access to his lawyer and employer. Mr Ogundipe said the police accused him of violating sections 352, 288 and 319 of the penal code. A review of the sections however indicate that they are not related to the charges but are about sexual assault and attempted murder. The journalist narrated his ordeal to his colleague and the company’s lawyer who visited the detention facility around 6 p.m. and were allowed to see him for a few minutes. Mr Ogundipe said he was driven barefooted to the Magistrate court in Kubwa around 1pm in the company four police officers including the prosecuting officer. (The name and details of the prosecuting officer cannot be ascertained at the time of filing this report). Before they left the detention facility, the journalist asked to speak to his lawyer, but was told he would only be allowed to do that when they get to the court. “At the court, I requested to speak with my lawyer and employer but they said I should wait until after the proceedings. “The prosecuting officer left me in the car with the three other police officers and went inside the court building. He came out after two hours and asked if I am ready to reveal the source of my story but I refused. Then I was led into the court room.” Apart from the journalist, the magistrate and the four police officers including the prosecuting officer, there was no other person inside the court room. “I was docked immediately and the prosecuting officer read my charges before the magistrate. I pleaded not guilty. The judge granted the request of the prosecuting officer that I be remanded in custody until August 20 (next five days). The officer said the police needed more time for investigation. ” Meanwhile, the police have turned down requests by the company’s lawyer for the court papers and warrant of arrest on two occasions. While the police on Wednesday evening said they cannot provide the documents because the prosecuting officer was not around, it said on Tuesday that there is no photocopy machine at the detention centre. A colleague who saw Mr Ogundipe at the detention centre said he looked physically worn out. “He spoke to us behind the counter. We were only allowed five minutes with him before they took him back inside the cell room. PREMIUM TIMES has condemned the secret arraignment of its staff, and repeated its demand for Mr Ogundipe’s immediate release. Samuel Ogundipe, a reporter at Premium Times “Each day, the police continue to behave in ways that embarrass this country,” said Editor-in-Chief, Musikilu Mojeed. “But it remains a mystery that acting president Yemi Osinbajo, a professor of law and supposed rule of law exponent, has so far failed to call IGP Ibrahim Idris to order. “PREMIUM TIMES has a constitutional duty to inform the Nigerian people and hold public officials to account. It will neither be intimidated nor cowed by the filthy antics of the police or the administration. “They can continue to abuse powers as much as they like. But nothing lasts forever. They are in power today. But they will be powerless someday. What this shows is that public office holders hardly learn anything. They certainly have failed to learn from the experiences of the officials of the immediate past government.” The police want Mr Ogundipe to disclose his source for a story published by PREMIUM TIMES and other news media. The story revealed a preliminary report written by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on last week’s siege to the National Assembly by security officials. In the preliminary report on the controversial incident prepared for Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday, Mr Idris said Mr Daura was working for some politicians for selfish interest, but did not name the accomplices. He said Mr Daura did not consult with other security agencies before ordering the siege, and questioned the validity of a security report that allegedly anticipated a violence at the parliament. Mr Daura was sacked by Mr Osinbajo on Tuesday afternoon. He was immediately handed over to the police for further interrogation, but was later released. Mr Ogundipe’s arrest and detention has been condemned by local and international rights groups and most Nigerians. However, the federal government and Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress have kept mum about it amidst worry among Nigerians that the country was gradually sliding back into a dictatorship and era of media repression. #freeSamuelOgundipe: Nigeria is back in Buhari’s Decree 4 – Not In My Country The anti-corruption group, Not In My Country, has called on the federal government and the Nigerian police to immediately release the detained Premium Times journalist, Samuel Ogundipe. “The detention of Mr. Samuel Ogundipe now is regrettable, reckless, unlawful and makes a huge mockery of a government that has just announced a planned policy reform of the same Police institution,” the organisation said in a statement by its Executive Director, Akin Fadeyi. “This rising attack is not just appalling, it signals a disturbing and gory descent back into the abyss of the better forgotten and horrifying days of Decree 4, where the muzzling of press freedom characterized the regime of former Head of State, General Muhanmodu Buhari. “It is a sad irony indeed, that the same General Buhari, a beneficiary of freedom of expression under democracy through which he became a civilian President has returned to running a repressive government through a security apparatus that is becoming increasingly rascally.” NOT IN MY COUNTRY DEMANDS SAMUEL OGUNDIPE’S IMMEDIATE RELEASE! We at the Akin Fadeyi Foundation [AFF] , conveners of the inter-sectoral campaign against corruption in Nigeria – CORRUPTION NOT IN MY COUNTRY are alarmed and outraged over the arrest and detention of Mr. Samuel Ogundipe on the orders of the Nigeria Police. This was after the Editor in Chief, Musikilu Mojeed and the Education reporter, Azeezat Adedigba who turned themseves in voluntarily on invitation were reportedly harrassed and manhandled. This rising attack is not just appalling, it signals a disturbing and gory descent back into the abyss of the better forgotten and horrifying days of Decree 4, where the muzzling of press freedom characterized the regime of former Head of State, General Muhanmodu Buhari. It is a sad irony indeed, that the same General Buhari, a beneficiary of freedom of expression under democracy through which he became a civilian President has returned to running a repressive government through a security apparatus that is becoming increasingly rascally. The detention of Mr. Samuel Ogundipe now is regrettable, reckless, unlawful and makes a huge mockery of a government that has just announced a planned policy reform of the same Police institution. It is equally laughable that a supposed law enforcement institution which is expected to be informed and versed in the doctrinal tenets of the media profession regarding confidentiality is demanding and pressurizing Samuel Ogundipe, a reporter to divulge the source of information over a story published by the newspaper, and several newspapers on a correspondence between the Inspector General of Police and the Vice President. We expected the police to know better, pick a learning from Samuel’s bold exposure and therefore, fine-tune its internal processes for better outputs in subsequent outings. Also, this bare-fang attack on Premium Times is a clear demonstration of ignorance of every letter in the Nigerian Freedom of Information Act signed into Law on May 28, 2011. This is the Law which binds the Nigerian government, this is the Law which showcases our nation as positioning for global best practices, it is not a Law for the proponents of Hobbesian theory of anarchy and lawlessness who thrive on attacking the fourth estate of the realm. It is on the premise of this Law that we demand the immediate and unconditional release of Samuel Ogundipe, arguably, one of the finest and most decent investigative reporters to come out of this nation. Section 16, Sub section C grants Samuel the Privilege of Journalism Confidentiality. To demand for the contrary is brutal, uncivilized and cannot find a space in the society we seek to build. May we nudge the ears of this government that the continued detention of Samuel Ogundipe and other uncompromising pen-pushers indicate that the planned reform of SARS is a sheer political campaign gimmick to hoodwink the Nigerian electorates into returning this government to power in 2019. As part of moves to further traumatise him, the Nigerian police, through the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) on Tuesday froze the bank account of PREMIUM TIMES reporter, Samuel Ogundipe. Mr Ogundipe was arrested at about 300 p.m. and driven from the SARS headquarters in Abuja to the IGP Monitoring Unit at Force Headquarters where he was made to write a statement concerning the source of a recent story he wrote. He has declined giving his source as allowed by journalism ethics. Mr Ogundipe’s salary account with Ecobank was frozen in an attempt to frustrate him. One of the police officers handling the investigation, Emmanuel Onyeneho, an inspector, was heard saying they had to freeze the account to incapacitate the reporter. At the Force headquarters, where he was taken, a Deputy Commissioner of Police at the IGP Monitoring Unit, Sani Ahmadu, was heard directing lawyers to “rush to court” to obtain a warrant to detain Mr. Ogundipe. They also repeatedly asked the journalist to disclose his source. Mr Ogundipe has been taken back to the SARS headquarters in Abuja and is currently being detained there. Apart from asking Mr Ogundipe to disclose his source, the police also accused the reporter, who covers the security sector, of publishing mainly negative stories about the police. Mr Onyeneho told Mr Ogundipe that they believe the journalist had written more negative stories than positive stories about the police and they considered that a crime. He said the journalist must disclose all his sources for his stories about the police, something Mr Ogundipe professionally declined. Aside Mr Ogundipe, this newspaper’s editor-in-chief, Musikilu Mojeed, and its education correspondent, Azeezat Adedigba, were also briefly detained and harassed by the police at the SARS headquarters in Abuja. Ms Adedigba and Mr Mojeed were later released after hours of detention. News by JoelsBlog Media Mynd Mynd44 OAM4J

Lalasticlala So people actually hear gospel songs at Nightclubs? Nawa o! Holy sinners!! But Sinache made me understand one thing... Let God direct your path.... I wonder if MissyB3 and Fynest Boi are letting God direct their path! Oh chim! |
Popular Nigerian Gospel artiste Sinach has mentioned that even she wouldn’t mind her songs being played at night clubs across the world as long as people are getting the message and their lives are being changed. The singer made this known in a chat with Sunday Punch where she also talked about her career as a gospel singer, the problems that come with being famous and a whole lot more Read excerpts from the interview below: Did you know you would become a celebrated singer from the onset? I didn’t even think singing was a career. When I joined the choir, I didn’t know any famous choir singer to tell me that singing in the choir could make me famous. I didn’t start with a band or start with a branded identity; so, I will say that becoming a famous singer is simply by God’s grace.. Was music all you wanted to do as a child? Growing up as a child, I had flashes of dreams of being a singer because I have always loved singing and everyone around me felt I could sing as well. But, to be honest with you, I didn’t think I would end up as a singer. I strongly believe God designed my life for me. Why did you settle for gospel music? Like I said earlier, God has a hand in what I do today; doing gospel music is God’s choice for me. It’s important we realise that God created us for a purpose and it is very important for everyone to find that purpose and fulfill it. So, I will say I yielded to God’s purpose for my life. I have been singing in the church since 1989, though it started as a hobby. I initially planned to leave the country after studying Physics at the University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State, but Pastor Chris Oyakhilome invited me to serve in the ministry. But for him, I might not have discovered my gift. Also, serving in the church has given me a solid foundation that helps me stand strong. How would you describe Pastor Chris’ impact on your life? He is my mentor, life coach and a spiritual father to my husband and I. How would you describe your childhood? I had a very beautiful childhood experience. My parents taught me a lot of things, which formed the bedrock of who I am today. I can also remember my formative years in the house of God; it has also played a vital role in my life up to this moment.I am the second daughter of seven children. I am from Ebonyi State. How will you feel if your music is played at a nightclub? Recently, a friend sent me a video of my song being played at a club. I noted from the reaction that they were singing along as they listened to the music. When you produce the right music with the right lyrics, people will look for it. Everyone needs encouragement, love and inspiration. My music is powerful and when people listen to my music, they will get inspired. Read Full Interview here . Lalasticlala Fynestboi MissyB3
