The scriptures says,"My people perish bc of lack of knowledge." Many couldn't get admitted into the university not bc they didn't have a good result but they lack the right information on what to do to make it. Last year I was on this same thread to help Nigerian youth like myself who are willing to enter the premier university without knowing a jack about direct entry admission. I can testify today that many made it as a result of the help and God's grace. Some1 whose success interest me most was a young lady whose brother contacted me at the di-minute when JAMB has stopped collecting the print-out in their office in lagos, I told them to take the credentials to UI and they collected it and when it was time for the online registration she followed instruction and she was finally admitted by the mercy of God. All of these I did without collecting kobo from anyone because some people here also provided information 2012 when I was also seeking admission via DE into this same UI. Their help in terms of quality information and God's grace helped me and today I can joyfully tell you that I am in my final year studying Communication and Language Arts. Hello guys, I know how it is to want to enter a great school like U.I. In Nigeria. I was able to gain admission into U.I. thru- D.E successfully by God's grace nd d quality of information I got frm d thread here on Nairaland. U will need to process ur transcript in ur previous school. When it is time U.I will request fr its submission. According to how things are unfolding by d end of sept U.I shud call for it. I believe once it is availabu fo u 2 get I don't see y u shudnt add it to d rest document. Don't wait till wen dey stop sales and dey make it mandatory by dat time u may go thru wht u were not suposed to. Goodluck

It is mandatory that all Admitted Persons who gain admission into any of the Nigerian Tertiary institutions, to obtain their verified admission letter from Jamb board, the Original Admission Letter has the following details:
* Department
* Level
* Institution
* Faculty and
* Name

IMPORTANCE OF THE JAMB ADMISSION LETTER
1) It Proves and serves as Evidence That You were legally and Validly admitted By Tertiary institution
2)It is required for Your clearance and Registration in The Institution where You are admitted,
3) It is Compulsory and Mandatory Requirement for You to participate In The NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE SCHEME (NYSC)
4).It is required when you apply for Undergraduate Scholarship.


Prospective Students who are obtaining their admission Letter, are to glance through their chosen Institution’s requirements, if they are to obtain the admission certificate personally,(example: Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU ) or If the candidate would received the admission letter from their Institution, (example: The University of Nigeria, Nsukka(UNN) gives their Students the Admission Letter).

After confirming your stance, you should then proceed to obtain your Original Jamb Admission Letter or Collect it from your Institution.

For the later, follow thesteps below to obtain your jamb original Admission Letter

Step 1. Goto any office of the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB) in your state. If you don’t where the nearest jamb office is located in your state you can see the lists of jamb offices and addresses in Nigeria HERE: http://www.schoolsonpoint.com/p/jamb-offices-in-all-nigerian-states.html

Step 2. After locating the jamb office in your state, proceed to buy the JAMB ADMISSION LETTER SCRATCH CARD at the rate of NGN1,000 Only. (Upon getting to jamb office, just ask for the Jamb Admission Scratch Card and you will be attended to immediately)

Step 3. After obtaining your jamb admission scratch card, Locate any CyberCafè in your area.
Step 4. Then open the Official Website of Jamb using this address: www.jamb.org.ng

Step 5. When the jamb website finish loading, Click on the “PRINT ADMISSION LETTER” Button located under the specified Year you are dealing in.

Step 6. Then Enter your Admission Scratch Card Details and your Jamb Reg. Number.
Step 7. Then Print The Displayed Admission Letter in “COLOURED FORMAT”


congratulations! You have just obtained your Jamb Original Admission Letter.

Advice: Ensure you save a copy to your Email Address. From there, you can retrieve a copy anytime.

I knw many people will or may have some challenges on how to go about the online registration. Firstly I will advise to follow instruction, never mind d money or any inconvieviency dat may take u to do what u are expected to do.
IMPORTANT THINGS YOU SHOUD DO NOW;
*Make sure you use a passport photograph with a white background
*Use black biro for ur signature befor scanning
*Pay your Acceptance fee and write ur name in dis forma JAMB REG NO/ your full name as d payee
*Ensure u fill your biodata in capital letter
*make a clean photocopies of which eva document u are asked to.
*Ensure all are well stapled and documented.

Can som1 tell me d diference btwn a professional diploma and National diploma, and can professional diploma be usd 4 D.E in a place where National diploma is required? Or are dey d same? Some needs help on diz. Ur genuine contributn wil be apreciatd. Thnx in anticipatn.

Thnx man 4 dat but d uper credit on d transcript wasn't a mistake, it was deliberate. Dey claimd d 4.0 is nt equal to distinctn but upa credit. D certificate of dat result wil cary upa credit nw instead of d 4ma distinctn. Wat do u thnk?

Gud evenin house, a frnd has a chalenge and i want a gud advice frm xperiencd people in d house to solve d prblm. A frnd aplied 4 a course in UI whch uper-credit was requird and oda criteria, he met al d requirement. He had 4.0 has his CGPA and he was awarded DISTINCTION in ND. He usd d result 4 d registratn and nw d school awarded him upa-credit in his transcript, sayin there was an eror in d forma result dat DISTINCTION starts frm 4.5. Shud he submit d transcript like dat and make amendment in d nxt online uploadin or wat shud he do dat wil nt forfeit diz chanz of gainin adm diz yr. Ur sincere advice wil be apreciatd thnx.

Wen i wntd to do mine, i sat dwn with jamb brochure as if i wntd to defend a project. My planz changed wen i gt to jamb ofice to reg, it was there i realiz i cnt aply to UNILAG bc dy acept OWN DIPLOMA in mass comm, imediately i chnge both to u.i when odas doznt acept wat i av except private institutnz.
