CelebritiesWhy Linda Ikeji May Go To Jail by Joewiezy(op): 9:00am On Dec 16, 2015
I have watched the drama unfolding on twitter recently with amusement about if Linda Ikeji received N240 million from #Dasukigate. People have put up varying arguments as to why she could charge any amount for adverts on her blog while others have opposing views. Now let's look at the facts:

1. Linda has denied receiving N240 million but admitted to receiving "some millions". If feelers in the online community is anything to go by, Linda might have charged Governor Ambode then the APC gubernatorial candidate for Lagos state N10 million per week for her background take over, translating to N40 million per month or the purported N80 million for the two month period. This is wrong in all levels because this transaction was not conducted at arms length. Linda ordinarily charges an average of N1.5 million per month for the same advert. Ambode paid almost 4,000 percent of the regular charge for this advert. This could be deemed money laundering or Fraud. An arms length transaction is one that takes place when parties are independent, on equal footing under prevailing market value (condition). Research into charges by media outlets for political campaigns revealed that political adverts attracted a minimum of 50% or maximum of 100% surcharge. 4,000 % is criminal. Add this amount to whatever she might have received from the PDP makes what she has done criminal. For instance, you don't sell a Toyota Camry car that ordinarily sells for 8.5 million for 800 million and expect not to be charged for any criminal activity. The fact that you own the car business doesn't permit you to sell at any price of your choice. The same way Fashola cannot pay N78 million for a website or Julius Berger charge N100 billion per kilometer for a road construction. Linda would have collected that money knowing that the source was not from personal pockets (probably stolen government funds or funds from any other illicit activity) if that wasn't the case she would have revised her current background ads to N40 million per month, therefore she's liable. Any marketer from any of her existing clients that pays an advert to Linda for N40 Million will be fired on the spot. Linda currently has an average of 200,000 unique visitors per day, hence her current ad rates are reasonable, however she should not be compared to ads on CNN and Superbowl which have tens of millions of visits per day. She may be lucky to get off because the government hand is tied (because of the Ambode issue) or they (APC) have bigger fish to fry. Otherwise Dopkesi may have it easier than Linda in court.

Would post the number 2 reason why she may go to jail later.
PoliticsRe: What Do You Think About My Boss' Parable? by Joewiezy: 12:39pm On Dec 15, 2015
jaybee3:
Your boss is actually very daft simply because he/she ridiculously forgot the key components of leadership.

Buhari has assembled and subsequently delegated the responsibilities of moving the country forward to his disciples (FEC)

Nigeria being broke means we have to generate income via other legal means.

Absolutely nothing wrong in asset recovery from past looters

Absolutely nothing wrong from sending a strong signal that it's not going to be business as usual

Everything is wrong with the myopic reasoning of letting by gone be by gone without doing a proper root cause analysis and in turn enacting strong institutions to fight the cancer called corruption
Why can't he delegate the loot recovery then and focus on other things.
Christianity EtcRe: "Stop Giving Offerings In Redeemed Churches If....." - Pastor Adeboye by Joewiezy: 1:15pm On Dec 08, 2015
Stop giving offerings and tithes and watch the church crumble. The returns on their current investments is not anywhere close to what they collect in offerings and tithes. Keep on deceiving people
CrimeRe: Lieutenant, Others Break Police Cell To Escape by Joewiezy: 1:10pm On Dec 08, 2015
It was gathered that the soldiers initially demanded N1 million, but the oil thieves said they had only N300,000 on them. The soldiers said they could collect N500,000 and nothingness or they would take them to their station. The oil dealers elected one of their members to go and get the remaining N200,000.

Rather than get the money, the man alerted the Area ‘L’ Commander, Mr Samuel Ojo. The area commander raised a team and told the members what to do.

Police now work with Oil thieves? shocked
CelebritiesRe: Timaya Blasted Over Not Having A Regular Job Post by Joewiezy: 1:06pm On Dec 08, 2015
Is it not the 9-5 jobs e.g. glo, MTN etc that are paying them all those endorsement fees. Is Tony Elumelu, Mike Adenuga, Dangote etc not doing 9-5 jobs?
CelebritiesRe: Shan George Calls Out Soundcity TV, Exposes Staff That Scammed Her (pics) by Joewiezy: 8:38am On Sep 14, 2015
It is such a shame. Upcoming Artistes pay for video and radio air play. These OAPs should not be celebrated, they should be in jail.
CelebritiesRe: Soundcity TV Replies Peter Okoye by Joewiezy: 4:10pm On Sep 10, 2015
And this same Sound City charge poor upcoming artistes to air their songs. Bunch of thieves. I am sure P square would have paid sound city to air their songs when they were not yet this big. In developed climes, TV stations pay the artistes and not the other way round. idiots. Kongatunes loading!!!

CrimeNigerian Bloggers Gross Disrespect For The Dead by Joewiezy(op): 10:42am On Mar 13, 2015
I was shocked, appalled and irritated by the total lack of respect for the dead by our so called bloggers whom have sold their souls because of money and traffic. Immediately after the robbery at Lekki took place, images of the dead victims were already being uploaded on the blogs without considering the fact that family members may have not been notified and some of them may stumble upon images of dead relatives online. Blogging have also degenerated into uploading images of road traffic accident victims. Dear blogger, warnings of "Graphic Images" and "Viewer Discretion" is not sufficient. DO NOT POST such images as such postings equates you to the likes of Boko Haram and ISIS. Imagine how gruesome it will be if CNN decides to post all graphic images captured during coverage of conflict zones.
Before uploading a picture, think about how you will feel if images of your dead family members are uploaded online for the world to see. Also ask yourself if that's how you want a loved one to be remembered.
Car TalkRe: New Policy On Importation Of Tokunbo Cars: Big News Page by Joewiezy: 4:58pm On Jan 09, 2014
Am really surprised that a lot of Nigerians can't differentiate between markets. Second hand markets and Brand New Markets are to mutually exclusive markets based solely on purchasing power. Those who buy new cars will always buy new cars and those who buy fairly used cars will always (at least until their purchasing power increases) buy fairly used cars. You CAN'T force people to buy new cars by simply "banning" importation of fairly used cars, without providing the necessary facilities (note that Nigeria has double digit lending rates as opposed to single digit interest rates and flexible payment options obtainable in developed countries, millions of people live on less than $1 a day, total dearth of infrastructure etc). The same companies will leave Nigeria after a few years because our economy doesn't support their business and the customer base will still remain unchanged i.e. corporate customers which include banks, oil companies etc. Same way as i care less about the price of a ferrari( it could move from 65 million to a 100 million) why this may bother a few wealthy people, i care less because it's not affordable for me.
