I admire many many character traits of Yorubas and their culture.
Having said that, unfortunately, teaching the true history of Nigeria is a such a taboo in our schools and in national conversations, and that's why people talk so much trash that are not based on any measurable or historical facts.

The sad facts about Nigeria is that the major and minor tribes of Nigeria have been on a competitive derby since day one of amalgamation. The fierce competition between the feudal North, the Semi-feudal SW and the Republican SE had always positioned the SW as the opportunitistic beneficiaries of a dysfunctional experiment at nationhood.

I just told one of my SE friends that Yorubas progress because of their resilience,diplomacy, and business acumen.
He argued as they are wont to do.
Yorubas are the richest and most progressive Nigerians abroad.

FYI, I've lived and worked in Enugu before so I know everywhere in the south east.

Many states in Nigeria especially the SS and Ondo stare did their homework, they came up with their plan and economic framework for seaports and approached the FG for approval which the FG always approve, but when it comes to the SE, no, all they do is talk, cry and blackmail, they are too lazy and incompetent to do the most basic thing.

Some of them will go to post on Facebook or Twitter with another impersonated name, then they will bring it to Nairaland and comment with their Nairaland account to pretend as if it is not from the same person.
