Global New Year's Eve Service With Pastor Chris Oyakhilome - 2017, THE YEAR OF FLOURISHING! *2017, THE YEAR OF FLOURISHING!* _*"...The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 92:13 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. 92:14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing..." (Psalms 92:1-15)*_ The message of the year is more than a topic. It is an insight into what the Lord will do for us, in us and through us - it is God's direction for us. Times and seasons don't apply in heaven but in the earth. *Three Key Things To Note:* *1. My Year of Luxuriant Growth.* Notice the verse above it says, they shall flourish like the palm tree. The palm tree flourishes irrespective of seasons. Its leaves are evergreen. And some grow very tall. One of the features of flourishing is spreading. Which means the spreading continues *2. My Year of Significant Attainment.* Attainment of higher heights. God wants to do marvelous things through us. Not just attainment but significant attainment (news making attainment). *3. My Year of Persistent Productivity.* The weather, economy, country and physical circumstances do not count. _"So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed."_ *What does God want you to do?* *1. Speak in tongues like never before.* This is the refreshing by which you cause the weary to rest. 1 Corinthians 14:4 (AMP) When you speak in tongues, your spirit becomes sensitive to spiritual realities. Jude 1:20 (AMP) Your most holy faith means your most sanctified faith (the highest faith you ever expressed - faith that had no doubt - your purest faith). Build on that faith by praying in the Holy Ghost. Speaking in tongues therefore purifies your faith. Why was Paul so successful? 1 Corinthians 14:18 _"I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:"_ Speaking in tongues is important for the Christian to be very successful. *2. Constantly walk and grow in Faith.* Hebrews 11:1-4 _"...Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear..."_ The word of God talked about in the scripture above is talking about the Rhema of God and not the logos of God (the logos of God made all things). The Rhema of God is talking about how things work around you. This is the revelation received from God spoken through our mouth. How 2017 will be your year of flourishing is in your mouth. The word has been spoken and as such the rest of 2017 must comply. We are in the times of great tribulations in the world, increase in wickedness of men. But know this, "Satan is not much wicked than God is gracious". Romans 5:20 _"...But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:"_ We are about to see the move of the Holy Ghost like never before. We are going to love the word and be passionate about the Lord like never before. We are going to win many to Christ. We are not ordinary people but the living tabernacle of the Almighty God. Count it all joy when you go through diverse tests. Count it all joy! Jesus never asked us to preach the gospel with words only, He gave us power - to preach the gospel with signs and wonders; to preach the gospel through prosperity. Trade Minister, Enelemah, identifies strategies to move the economy forward at the 6th FBNQuest Investor Conference The Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Okey Enelamah, has reiterated government’s commitment to ending the current economic recession through strategic policies such as robust partnership between government and the private sector, support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), as well as intervening in high potential sectors including manufacturing and agriculture. He made these points at the 2016 Annual Investor Conference organised by FBN Capital Limited, the Investment Banking and Asset Management subsidiary of FBN Holdings Plc. held on October 27, 2016 at the Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island Lagos. In his presentation tiled ‘Matching Opportunities with Patient Capital,’ the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Okey Enelamah, emphasized the importance of government partnership with the private sector in order to move the nation’s economy forward. He said despite the recession, Nigerians should see the economy from a positive perspective and deemphasize on the negative side of the recession. He noted that the oil price crash exposed the structural deficiency in Nigeria’s large and thriving economy. According to him, “Countries in difficulty have used different strategies to strengthen and diversify their economies. That is why Nigeria needs to move away from over dependence on oil. Diversification and growth is key to economic recovery and ensuring a more stable future. Nigeria should have a strong local base of investors because foreigners will always leave leading to dry up of capital.” Mr. Enelamah recommended applying practical solutions such as creating the right environment and polices to harness the productivity of Nigerians in order to overcome the current inflation in Nigeria, as the economy remains large and full of potentials. He added that it is very easy to have a disconnect between the government and the people when there is no trust in government policies. Speaking further, the Hon. Minister identified the 5 execution principles of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (MITI) which include creating a favourable economic framework, support to Micro, Small Scale and Medium Enterprise (MSME), sector prioritization, partnership and joint ventures and immediate implementation of policies. As a Christian, your words are not empty; what you say comes to pass. You can talk to anything, including your body. You can talk to negative situations such sickness and disease, and they will surely obey you. Someone may say, “I have a growth in my stomach and it’s hurting so bad, the doctor says it is cancer.” Stop talking about the growth; talk to it instead. Tell it to die and pass out of your body! In mark 11:23, Jesus didn’t say we should talk about the mountain or say what the mountain is doing; he said, “Talk to the mountain! Tell it to move.” In same way, don’t complain about the severity of the pain or trouble you‘re feeling in your body. Talk to your body; tell the pain to cease and tell your body to function rightly in line with the life of God that’s in your spirit. Remember, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It’s not for Sickness, disease or infirmity. You are too beautiful to be sick, diseased or afflicted. Therefore, never condone sickness or disease in your body. Reject it with all vehemence. Someone said,” I always wake up with headaches whenever I sleep; I don’t understand why!” Stop talking about the headache; talk to it! “Say In the name of Jesus, I am not going to wake up with another headache in my life!” Or maybe you always have to take certain pills before you can sleep; you ought to say,” No! Body, in the name of Jesus, you will function without these pills!” And then you go ahead and tell your eyes what to do. Tell them to go to sleep in the name of Jesus and they will. BE RULED BY GOD'S WORD. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live (Romans 8:13). As a child of God, you’re an ambassador of Christ. That’s how He sees you. You’re His representative. That’s why it’s important that your behaviour conforms to the Word. Be ruled by the Word. Don’t live according to your flesh. Don’t be controlled by your emotions. Give no place to carnality in your life. Be spiritually minded. Spend time on the Word and yield yourself to the Holy Spirit to work through you. Remember, He sees your heart; if you’re hungry for Him; if you’re zealous and passionate for Him and the spread of the Gospel, He’ll see to it that you’re a success in life. So, you’ve got to align yourself with His thoughts. Let nothing stop you from living a life that’s pleasing to the Lord. Let your life be to the praise and glory of the One who called you. Walk in the Spirit; the Bible says, “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16). Walking in the Spirit is walking in the Word; living according to God’s Word. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23). In our fellowship with the Father and the Son, Jesus Christ, we’ve been given something free, and that’s life eternal: “And this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 John 5:11-12). What is eternal life? It’s the life and nature of God—the quality of the divine life. In the world, there’s the animal life and the plant life. There’s also the natural human life. However, according to the scriptures, there’s the God-type of life, and that’s what He’s given us. When you were born again, something actually transpired in the realm of the spirit. Your human life was supplanted by the divine life. This is the reality. It’s one of the reasons Christianity isn’t a religion; being born again is an actual transformation; a real spiritual birth: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). The word, “creature” means “strange living thing”: something that can’t really be described; a new species or type of being that’s born of God; that’s who you are. The Bible says, “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures” (James 1:18). “First fruits” means “the first and best.” The Apostle John declared in 1 John 5:13, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” Why was it so important for him to let us know we have the God-life? It’s because you can’t enjoy the benefit, the power, and the influence of that life except you have it, and know that you have it. Philemon 1:6 says, “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” Acknowledge and affirm that you have, and can live the God-life: the life of righteousness, praise, dominion, and glory. Hallelujah. When the Bible uses the term ‘whosoever,’ it means anybody! Anybody can call on the Name of the Lord and receive a miracle, but it must be a call of faith. God has great respect for faith. There’s no discrimination with Him; all you need do to receive a miracle is to make the call of faith. Reliving the lessons learned in the story of blind Bartimaeus, the Bible says, when he heard that Jesus Christ of Nazareth was passing by, he cried out to Jesus. And when it seemed as though he hadn’t caught the Lord’s attention, he cried out the more. He yelled out loud until the Lord couldn’t resist his call of faith and commanded him to be brought forward. How wonderful! You may have been calling out to the Lord for help and it seems as though He is yet to respond. It’s time to cry out the more, a great deal like blind Bartimaeus! Don’t keep quiet. Let your faith concerning that new job you have believed God for get the Master’s attention today! Call on Him concerning your business, family and all that has to do with your life; and your call of faith will produce the miracle you desire. Glory to God! Healing Healing, Prayer, and Faith . ALWAYS CONSULT WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalm 32:  The Holy Spirit can tell you what to do in every situation so you can always win in life. Many are frustrated because they never consult with Him on the right steps to take. They’d rather go to their relatives and friends to help them out of trouble. Sadly, those they meet for help only provide them counsel that doesn’t work, because it’s based on human reasoning and sense knowledge. Learn to consult with the Holy Spirit for answers. Ask Him for guidance and direction concerning everything you do. When you face challenges that seem insurmountable, call on Him, and He’ll tell you what to do; He’ll give you the strategies to employ. The great men and women we read about in Scriptures understood this truth, which was why they never took a major step until they had consulted with the Lord. Learn to trust the Holy Spirit; depend on Him at all times, for He’s with you, in you and for you! He’ll teach you, lead you and guide you into victory and triumph in everything you do, if you’d only ask Him. THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT The indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit is one of the greatest gifts you could ever have as a Christian. If anyone knew the importance and ministry of the Holy Spirit in man, it was Jesus. He said, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1: . That’s why He commanded the apostles not to depart from Jerusalem but wait for the promise of the Father – He was referring to the Holy Ghost. He wanted them to be imbued with power from on high so they could live the supernatural life of the Kingdom and carry out His ministry.There is no authentic Christianity without the Holy Spirit . No one can live the victorious and triumphant life in Christ without the Holy Spirit. Even your service to God only becomes acceptable to Him when you render it through the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:16, Hebrews 9:4).Therefore, learn to always honour the Spirit and appreciate His presence in your life; never take it lightly. His presence is the most important thing to you. If you’re born again and yet to receive the Holy Spirit, it’s time to do so.
