Health / Pears Baby Lotion: The Lotion For Your Baby’s Dry Skin by Johnmichael2016: 4:42pm On Apr 09, 2018
Pears Baby Lotion: The Lotion For Your Baby’s Dry Skin
A baby’s skin is more active than an adult’s skin because of its constantly developing state. It's more vulnerable to irritants, changes in temperature and changes in humidity, which means it can become dry easily. Thus, it is essential to keep it moisturised.
Pears Nigeria Baby lotion is made from carefully selected pure and mild ingredients suitable for a baby's tender skin. It is enriched with pure glycerin and natural oils that gently moisturize your baby’s skin to keep it smooth, while its mild fragrance ensure that your baby’s skin gets the pampering it deserves.
Pears Nigeria baby lotion is trusted for being pure, mild and gentle, and has been recognized and endorsed by the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) for its excellent brand quality and contribution to the growth of babies in the country.
To get the best results from Pears Baby Lotion, here are a few tips for our moms:
❖ Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before applying the lotion. This prevents the transfer of germs from your hands to your baby’s skin.
❖ Apply immediately after bath, when your baby’s skin is still wet. This will trap the moisture from bath time and prevent your baby’s skin from drying out after the bath. Apply more frequently during the cold season to prevent the baby’s skin from cracking, as this could cause the baby intense discomfort.
Use the full range of Pears Baby products to keep your baby’s skin pure, mild and gentle. Your baby’s skin needs that extra protection. Proper moisturization of the skin helps to protect the skin against germs and harsh effects of the environment. Safeguard your baby’s skin health now.

How To Use Pears Baby Oil

Pears pure, mild and gentle Baby Oil is formulated to create a light protective barrier on a baby’s delicate skin. It contains olive oil to moisturize, soften, smoothen and protect the baby’s delicate skin and dryness.

Pears Baby Oil gives shine and allows the skin to feel relaxed, smooth and fragranced.

Parent-baby Bonding Experience

It is a great addition to the parent-baby bonding experience when used for a baby massage which is a nice way to monitor the health of your baby's skin. It gives you an opportunity to go over the entire surface and to check for dryness or chafing. But that's not the only benefit: as your baby grows and undergoes developmental changes, massage can help ease transitions and they can help you bond with your baby.

It comes with an active formula that protects baby's delicate skin from infections and blemishes. When applied, it gives a soft and growing shine after bath and ensures easy combing and styling of the baby’s hair.

Moms can also use Pears Baby oil to:

● Soothe and relieve dry, rough patches.
● Protect or heal scaling, flaking skin during cold harmattan weather. It provides an extra layer of heat insulation, so cold temperatures are not able to affect the skin much (http://oilhealthbenefits.com/baby-oil/)
● Heal heel cracks by applying baby oil to the affected area for a few days. The result? It makes your feet extra smooth.

Pears baby oil is trusted, recognized and endorsed by the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) for its excellent brand quality and contribution to the growth of babies in the country.

Education / Why Pears Baby Lotion Is Good For All Skin Types by Johnmichael2016: 7:54am On Mar 26, 2018
Why Pears Baby Lotion is Good for all Skin Types

Lotions are vital to the skin health. They are used for a variety of skincare problems such as dry, rough, scaly or itchy skin and irritations. Applying body lotions is one of the few judicious ways to maintain a healthy skin. It is therefore important to choose a lotion that suits your skin type.

There are three possible skin types, and the pears lotion is made to function for all three.

Dry Skin

Dry skin comes cracking on the skin and dry patches. Itching is one of the symptoms and scratching might be difficult to resist. One of the best ways to treat a dry skin is to apply a lotion containing glycerin, an ingredient present in the Pears Baby Lotion. The Pears Lotion is pure, mild and gentle and is made from carefully-selected ingredients that are suitable for any skin - and specially designed for babies. The ultra-gentle lotion softens and nourishes their skin and protects them from dryness.

Normal Skin

People with Normal Skin types are the ones who neglect their skin care the most because they don’t usually see reasons to take care of it. For Normal Skin, it is best to apply light lotion to keep your skin looking its best. You can also use lotion for rough areas around your body like elbows and knees.

Oily Skin

Oily skin results from overproduction of Sebum, an oily substance made of fat. And excess Sebum can lead to premature aging and other damage. It is important to use lotion for oily skins to avoid skin damages. The three skin types have been considered in the production of Pears Lotion, which makes it your preferable brand for all skin types.

Career / Story of a Cleaning Services Company in Nigeria West Africa by Johnmichael2016: 2:03pm On Sep 05, 2017
Today makes it 7years I started my company Lacreme cleaning services. I was just 24years old with big dreams.

I painted a picture of the strong brand that I wanted to build. I didn't want to be seen (perceived) as a road side cleaner so I decided to study a professional course with the British Institute of cleaning Science where I got my certificate on Cleaning, Chemical Competence and Equipment Safety and Management.

When I came back to Nigeria I started marketing my cleaning services from one construction site to another, I spoke with my family and friends. Some people actually laughed at me, telling me to go look for a more classy and prestigious business to do. "How can a pretty girl like you settle for a lowlife business " Coming from a family friend I had so much respect for! Wow, I felt bad, but you know what? I just smiled and I said to myself this same people will celebrate me one day.

The gentlemen in this picture were my first set of cleaners, they were just young men who were aspiring to go to the university. They were professionally trained by my company so well that we started getting so many jobs on referrals. Shortly after the 3 gentlemen got into university and the company supported them all through until they graduated.

We upgraded our cleaning services from post construction cleaning service to home cleaning services and then contract cleaning services. My first major deal was when I and my team worked on a 30-rooms, guest house cleaning service project and I made some cash! Wow at this stage people who laughed at me, started calling me for business advice.

Fast forward. I relocated to Lagos in 2013 and I heard all sorts of stories of "how are you going to compete with all the big companies in Lagos" I didn't let that bother me, I started aggressive marketing, moved from one building to another. And my big God showed up! I got contract from banks, offices etc. Today we have about 75 staff on monthly salary and about 15 on contract. With Branches in Lagos, Enugu and Port Harcourt.
This is my Story. Small girl with a Big God. This is just the beginning!

Webmasters / Re: Top 7 Social Media Influencers In Nigeria by Johnmichael2016: 12:53pm On Jul 17, 2017
Technology Platform for Digital Influencer Marketing

Influencer.NG helps brands tell their story through the Nigeria's top influencers, such as bloggers, vloggers and social media influencers. We develop and manage creative influencer marketing strategies to effectively spread out your brand’s story and reach millions of people worldwide.

Want to start an Influencer Marketing campaign? Get inspiration from these 5 brands in Africa

While it may seem easy to slap on any celebrity on your product in the name of promotion, doing so hardly ever turns out well for your brand stature. The proper, most-rewarding way to deploy influencers is more a science than an art.

At a basic level, there has to be a connect between the brand and the influencer. On a deeper level, the brand wants to ensure the audience segments of the influencer are the same ones it’s interested in. Another component of the influencer alchemy is the voice and tone of the influencer. Does it align with the brand’s and the ongoing campaign? If these components don’t align, it can leave brands further estranged from their audience.

Some brands in Africa have gone down the previously unbeaten path of influencer marketing and provide useful templates:
Deezer

Vodacom joined with the music streaming app, Deezer - part of their strategy - to increase Deezer app downloads by using influencers to drive conversation about music, entertainment and the Deezer app. They recruited ten influencers across to create content around why this app was relevant to their audiences. South African artist, Da Les, was a key influencer in the campaign.

Using paid media, those stories spread to nearly four million music lovers and that sparked over 11,000 engagements. Through influencer marketing, Deezer achieved their objectives with more than 15,000 app downloads within the campaign period.
Intel

The Intel #InsideOut campaign created product awareness around new two-in-one devices and the new Core M Processor. Working with eight social, photography, tech, music and entertainment influencers created an influencer campaign across online and offline media.

Influencers created content and worked with a production team to create video content that cascaded into a YouTube Series. Other content expressions became the glue that integrated the campaign across print, digital and radio. In the end, the campaign reached over 9 million people were reached online and more than 40,000 engagements garnered.
Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola launched its “Taste the Feeling” campaign coming off the success of its previous “Share the Feeling” and “Share a Coke” campaigns. With the theme song originally done by Avicii, Nigeria acts, Tuface, Darey, Yemi Alade, etc, made a remix to accompany an ad that portrayed the multiplicity of a relationship between a boy and his big brother. Leveraging the star power of local music acts, brought the campaign home and emoted the nostalgic feeling the campaign hoped to. Furthermore, employing influential figures tapped into fanbases inclusive in the TA who might not have shown interest for Coca-Cola. Just like every other Coca-Cola campaign, “Taste the Feeling” was a hit amongst consumers.

MTN

To launch Pulse - MTN’s budget friendly, millennial-focused call/data bundle, MTN debuted a short movie and hit track “406 Na D Code” featuring Falz, Skales and Tekno. The hilarious blockbuster-esque ad gathered millions of views across multiple platforms. Despite the success of this Online, MTN recruited Don Jazzy to spearheaded the #ItsWhoWeAre conversation to further promote Pulse. It garnered over 20million impressions in less than 2 hours.

Remy Martin

One Life, Live Them. The message of the campaign was simple: don’t be defined by the one thing that you do, but all that you do. Influencers like Falz the Bahd Guy, Noble Igwe, Shina Peller, Zainab Balogun, Alibaba, and Japhet Omojuwa helped the campaign reach the nooks and crannies of Nigeria's Social Media, and increased thirst for the premium brand.

This is because as soon as you create your own Yahoo! 360 page, your page can be searched by other internet users.

One of the many features of Yahoo! 360 that stands apart from the rest is your homepage. Yahoo defines your homepage as the page that you will first see when you sign into your 360 account. Celebrities / 12 Influencer Marketing Stats In Africa You Should Know Before Creating Strategy by Johnmichael2016: 12:00pm On Jul 17, 2017
12 influencer marketing stats in Africa you should know before creating your marketing strategy

One might say that influencer marketing is not new. The idea of connecting a brand to an individual dates as far back as the late 1890s. Brands hadn’t started using celebrities to promote products so they created their own influencers - personas consumers could relate to. The earliest example is “Aunt Jemima” for Aunt Jemima syrup. In the 90s, Coca-Cola called on Bill Cosby to be the face of the New Coke.

Like many things happening online, influencer market is a reflection of what has always happened offline - albeit a faster, nimbler, more democratic version.

Over the past few years, influencer marketing has proven to be an effective method of advertising. Many more African brands are courting the kind words / body image of individuals and groups to impact the purchase decisions of a consumer(s). Looking at the success so far, influencer marketing should form a significant part of your next marketing budget.

If you are still contending this, here are 12 stats to give you perspective.

1. 60% of teens are more likely to believe and buy from YouTube stars than movie stars.

To put this in perspective, 60% of young people would sooner buy a product peddled by Emmanuella than one from Richard Mofe Damijo.

2. 8 out of 10 of the most influential personalities among teens are YouTube stars.

YouTube vloggers and personalities will influence teens to perform an action more than anyone else on the internet.

3. Influencer marketing is the fastest growing channel for customer acquisition with businesses.

Businesses makes on average $6.50 for every $1 spent on influencer marketing. There’s a marginal profit of $5.50 for every dollar spent on influencer marketing.

4. More than a quarter of users buy a product that they have seen promoted by a celebrity.

More than a quarter users will buy a pair of Adidas sneakers because Olamide wore it.

5. Instagram influencers with fewer than 1,000 followers have a like rate of about 8 percent, while those with 1,000 to 10,000 followers have a like rate of 4%.

On social media, more followers often doesn’t mean greater engagement. Followers engage more with users they can relate with and feel connected to on a level.

6. Sharing content through influencers increases conversion by at least a 3x – 10x higher rate.

To put in context, if Toke Makinwa shared content about your beauty brand, it’ll lead to more conversions than if the brand posted itself.

7. Through online influencers brands can already reach over 60 million people throughout Africa.

If targeted broadly with influencers, a post has a wide reach of 60 million urban digitally-fluent people in Africa.

8. 51% of marketers believe they get better customers from influencer marketing as the relationship began with trust in the influencer.

Customers are spurred by a brand message shared by an influencer more than one shared by the brand itself.

9. 59% of marketers believe in influencer marketing so firmly that they plan to increase their ad budgets for it.

In context, influencer marketing brings immediate results and is profitable that more marketers are willing to explore it more in the foreseeable future.

10. 44% of social media savvy women say their buying decision is influenced by a trusted blogger.

One out of every two women would decide to buy a purse because Cassie Davies advised them to do so.

11. Social media recommendations have directly or indirectly encouraged 26% of purchases across 30 product areas.

In context, over a quarter of purchases across 30 product areas is based off social media recommendations.

12. 74% of consumers rely on social media to inform their purchasing decisions.

When people are looking for product inspiration, 74% of them look to social media influencers to decide what to buy.

For low income earners who generally find it difficult to build or buy homes within a short period of time, it is a new dawn as Lafarge Africa Plc, the continent’s leading housing and infrastructure solutions company, is out to make it easy for them to build and own homes with its Easy Home initiative.

Affordable housing is used in several contexts, but it is chiefly associated with low cost housing. To Lafarge, it goes beyond that even though the company sees it as “housing for people who do not have access, by usual financial ways, to decent housing”. Why Some People Do Not Want To Have Hair Transplant Surgery

Hair transplant surgery is not for everyone. In fact, some people have been so disappointed and even angered about their results that they have filed class action lawsuits against hair transplant surgeons and clinics. There are several reasons they give for their dissatisfaction.

1. Underestimating Procedures. Certain surgeons and clinics underestimate the number of procedures necessary to achieve the desired effect. This leads people to have a false hope of having a full head of hair in a very short time. When this does not happen, they are understandably angry. They did not get what they were promised.

2. Underestimating Price. Surgeons usually do give some sort of estimate of the cost of the entire procedure of a hair transplant. A reputable surgeon will emphasize that it is only an estimate and that things may change once the procedures are started. Also, she will give an honest accounting of what she expects the procedure to cost.

An unscrupulous surgeon, on the other hand, will distort the facts about his hair transplant procedures. He will try to get the patient started by stating that the price will be very low. He will know all along that the procedures will cost much more, but he will lowball the price anyway just to get the patient started so that they have to finish.

3. Creating Scars. All hair transplant surgery will create small scars. Some people find them unacceptable. They want to wear their hair short, and they see the scar peeking out from under their hair, even if no one else does. Of course, there are also physicians with poor skills who create large scars and people who are prone to scarring. Hair transplant scars are a sore subject for man people.

4. Uneven hairlines. Some people who have hair transplant surgery end up with uneven hairlines. This is caused by the oversight of negligent doctors. If a person gets to work with a reputable surgeon, things like this just do not happen. However, if someone has seen a person with this problem, it will likely turn them off to hair transplant surgery for good.

5. Old-Fashioned Plugs. People with the large plugs that look like doll's hair or toothbrush bristles are still around. While this type of hair transplant is rarely done anymore, the effects are still evident among people of a certain age. If someone who knows one of these people has a balding problem, they are not likely to think of hair transplants. The only way they would is if they have some other, good, experience with them.

6. Doctors Who Put Money above the Patients' Interest. Any doctors who make decisions that are not based on the welfare of his patient are following their Hippocratic Oath in its intentions. Doctors are held to a high standard and when a surgeon tries to convince a patient to get hair transplant surgery when it is not best for him, he is not really acting as a doctor should. The horror stories are out there and many people are aware of them. D&R Super Lubricating Bald Head Lotion

There is a higher rate of suicide following hair transplant and other cosmetic surgeries. This is partly because the patients are disappointed that their lives do not miraculously change overnight. However, other reasons for their despair are poor results and unscrupulous doctors. People who are afraid of this misery are likely to bow out.

Hair Styling Secrets of Hair Transplant

If you are getting a hair transplant, you probably want to know all about styling methods. From the days before your surgery to the years afterwards, it is good to know all you can about how to care for your hair. If you did not want your hair to look good, you would not have had the hair transplant in the first place.

When you are having your consultation with the surgeon, explain the kind of hair style you would like to have. This gives him an idea of how best to create the design of the hair transplant receptor sites on your scalp. It might make a difference in the angle of the hair or the direction of the hair.

The doctor will show you before and after pictures of his past hair transplant patients. Do not be discouraged if they all seem to have the same plain haircut in the after pictures. This is often the case when the doctor is trying to be truthful.

He will have the patients pose with their hair sans hair styling products like mousse or gel. This is to prevent you from getting a false impression of what a hair transplant can do. Yet, if you use your imagination, you can see how the right style would make the hair transplant look great.

Before you go in for your hair transplant surgery, your surgeon will give you some facts about how to care for your hair before the surgery and after. He will emphasize that the hair on your crown should be at least 2cm long. This is so that the donor site scar will be adequately covered up until the sutures heal.

Also, the doctor will not tell you to get a haircut. In fact, when getting a hair transplant, the longer your hair is, the better it often works. It hides the sutures and eventually hides any scars you might have.

You will be told to use your normal shampoo before the hair transplant surgery. No special scalp treatment will be needed. Do not worry about any scraggly hair on top of your head. The doctor will blend it in with the grafts as he goes.

It may seem odd, but once the grafted hairs are set, they are just as strong as the rest of your hair. You can cut them, comb and brush them, and even dye them in time. New hairs start to grow within three months. You will find you need haircuts more often, as your hair will grow about one or two centimeters per month.

As for intense styling, your hairdresser can help you with that in about 20 days after your hair transplant surgery. Your grafted hairs are the same as old hairs but they are balding resistant. However, they need special care at first. Your hairdresser should know about hair transplants and understand just what you need to avoid.

After a few short weeks, you can treat your hair transplant grafts just like you did your old hair before you lost it. You can style it however you want. You can comb it and use hair care products on it. Do not forget: this is really your own hair.

Are Women Good Candidates for Hair Transplant Surgery?

Balding is not just a men's problem; women often lose hair as they get older as well. You might wonder, if that is the case, why more women do not have hair transplant surgery. You may be surprised to know that many women are not good candidates.

Women usually have a different type of hair loss than men. Male pattern baldness uncovers parts of the top of the head. However, the sides and back of the head are usually covered with healthy balding-resistant hair follicles.

Men with this pattern of balding will have donor hair that survives the hair transplant process and flourishes long afterward. That is because a naturally-occurring enzyme in the body combines with testosterone to create a chemical called DHT. This chemical is responsible for the hair loss on the tops of men's heads when they have male pattern baldness.

However, it does not affect the back and sides of their hair in most cases. These areas have healthy hair follicles and make excellent donor sites for hair transplant surgery. These are called stable sites because they remain unchanged over time rather than shrinking like the hair follicles affected by DHT do.

Female pattern baldness is different. In most cases, they do not have large areas of stable balding-resistant hair follicles. The sides and back of their hair tends to thin just as the front and top of the head do. The DHT affects all the areas of their hair.

Any hair follicles that are affected by DHT will simply fall out if they are moved by hair transplant procedures. Moving them from one place to another does not affect the basic nature of the hair follicle.

Also, women do not have the problem of receding hairlines in most cases. Their hair is lost in a more diffuse manner, thinning uniformly all over the head. It is not so much where their hair is that is the problem, but how much they have. Hair transplant surgery will not correct this problem. It is best used to move hair from one place to another.

There is a very small percentage - about 5% of all women with baldness problems - who are good candidates for hair transplant surgery. The thing that all these women have in common is that they all have healthy areas of hair follicles that can be used as donor sites.

For example, women with mechanical or traction Alopecia have lost their hair because they have scratched their head for a long period of time, they have used tight rollers or their hair has been pulled or stretched in any manner. These women almost always have an area of their hair that is unaffected. If they do, they can have hair transplant procedures.

Some women have cosmetic surgery and suffer hair loss around the incision sites. In these cases, hair transplant surgery can help. Other women actually have a pattern of hair loss that is similar to male pattern baldness. These women are able to have the surgery, too.

Finally, women who have suffered trauma from accidents or burns are good candidates for hair transplant procedures. If you are a woman with balding problems, is worth the time to consult with a doctor to find out if you are one of the women who can benefit from hair transplant surgery. 5. E-filing requires amendment in Lagos State judiciary’

A Lagos based lawyer, Mr Oluwole Kehinde has said the e-filing process in the Lagos Judiciary requires amendment. He made this known in an interview with The Guardian. According to him, the present e-filing process is not only cumbersome but also causing a lot of delay.

This, he said, is as a result of gross infrastructural deficit in ICT in the judiciary, which gives room for indolence and nonchalance on the part of the staff and the consequent pressure on litigants to succumb to offering gratification to advance their matters.

“With that process, today a litigant can hardly obtain interim order for preservation of property or personal rights in Lagos State. It is either there is no network to upload scanned processes or they are unable to generate temporary or permanent suit number, without which a case cannot progress. The situation is far from satisfactory, as it is unreasonably tedious,” he declared.

Kehinde further stated that there is need for Lagos judiciary to ‎improve on the fast-track system. He therefore suggested amendment in the general application of the pre-action protocol rule, particularly Order 3 Rule 11, which empowers the Registry to screen cases for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and refer appropriate cases to the Multidoor Court House or other ADR institutions for which the litigant is financially liable.http://www.sskohn.com/practice-areas/infrastructure-privatisation/

“It is a great obstacle to the free exercise of right of access to court. In jurisdictions where such rules have been justified, the litigant is not obliged to pay for the cost of alternative dispute resolution should his case be referred thereto,” he stated.

4. Monarch urges Ambode to enforce apex court judgment

The Oniba of Iba kingdom, Oba Yushau Goriola Oseni and the Oniba Chieftaincy family have urged the Lagos State government to ensure compliance with a Supreme Court judgment on the ownership of their land at Ilemba Awori and Ilemba Hausa communities in Ojo town.

A petition dated April 18, 2017 and sent to Lagos State government through their counsel, Adetunji Orisalade, they urged government not to encourage the conversion of their land by the Elete family, since the state government through its Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs were defendants in the suit numbers LD/1219/1974, FCA/L/108/79 and SC.24/1983, which was decided in Oniba’s favour by the Supreme Court in 1984.

The petition was titled: ‘Unlawful act of invasion, and forceful occupation of Ilemba Awori town by the Elete family members and attempt to cause breach of peace.’

Orisalade said Iba town received the information that government had granted Elete family an approval for the installation of Elete as an Oba, adding that government also relinquished the two communities’ as territories to the communities.

According to the petition, the said communities traditionally belong to the Oniba of Iba in which he has always installed a traditional ruler (bale) in pursuance of the Oniba’s family ownership right over it. http://www.sskohn.com/practice-areas/corporate-commercial/

He said the Elete family is though landowners among the clusters of communities, but their land is domiciled in the riverine.Orisalade recalled how the Elete family once sued the Oniba of Iba over ownership of the said communities but were repeatedly defeated as the case dragged through the High Court until it was struck out at the Supreme Court in February 27, 1984. dispute resolution
