ADC DEPUTY NATIONAL YOUTH LEADER (NORTH CENTRAL) COLLABORATES WITH ATIKU YOUTH WING, EMPHASIZES ON MASSIVE NATIONAL YOUTH DRIVE


The Leadership of the Youth Wing Of His Excellency Atiku Abubakar on Saturday, entered into a pact with the youth leadership of the main opposition party, African Democratic Congress (ADC) in a bid to massively mobilise the youths of Nigeria to join the ADC.

In a media statement after the meeting with Hajiya Hassana Dada, the Deputy National Youth Leader (North Central region) of the party, the Atiku Youth Wing under the leadership of Comrade Odih Rowland who is the Director-General and Idris Kalgo who is the National Team Lead, publicly commended the ADC for appointing young leaders, including Hajiya Hassana Dada as Assistant National Youth Leader for North Central, into its National Working Committee (NWC).

The Atiku Youth Wing indicated its readiness to collaborate with the party in order to actualize the desired change which Nigerians crave by promoting youth inclusion in Nigerian politics through the African Democratic Congress (ADC) platform.

Furthermore, the Atiku Youth Wing media directorate praised the ADC for "boldly demonstrating" youth inclusion, highlighting Hassana Dada among others like Bilyaminu Duhu, Jackie Wayas, David Itopa, and Hauwa Yusuf as the signs that "the ADC is indeed a youthful party".

The Atiku Youth Wing emphasized that this move sets a "powerful example" of giving youths a seat in political decision-making processes.

The Atiku Youth Wing promised to be unrelenting in its bid to mobilise tens of millions of youths across all the grassroots and nooks and crannies of Nigeria for the ADC in a bid to ensure that the ADC becomes the party of the youths and also that the youths via the ADC take over almost all the leadership seats in the country, come 2027.

Ekiti 2026: "Past governors' so-called endorsement of Oyebanji, self-serving against Ekiti interests" - Otunba Fayose

...says ex-governors, Oyebanji targeting state's treasury

The governorship hopeful in Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Otunba Emmanuel Fayose has berated past elected governors of the state for endorsing Governor Abiodun Oyebanji for second term.

In a statement he issued in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday, Otunba Fayose described the reported endorsement as selfish and against the interest of the people of the state.

"The reported endorsement of Governor Oyebanji by his predecessors in office, mainly former governors Niyi Adebayo, Peter Ayodele Fayose, Olusegun Oni and Kayode Fayemi is not only shameful but selfish and self serving.

"I am making this assertion based on the current realities in the state, which has made Ekiti an underachiever in the comity of states in the country," he said

Commenting further on the development, Otunba Fayose stated that the prime motive of the endorsement is the common patrimony of the state, which he said they (the past governors) have hijacked since 1999.

"Since 1999, every administration in Ekiti State has betrayed the people especially our suffering youth and abandoned senior citizens.

"Healthcare is in ruins. Roads are death traps.Unemployment is at its worst peak. Not a single major investor has been attracted in 25 years.

According to him these former governors did not build or attract a single factory to the state, saying the youths are on okada. He said Ekiti people are very hard working yet cannot afford one meal per day couple with bad roads across the state. unemployment keeps increasing on a daily basis with security challenges, lack of good health care, no stable electricity, no water etc he said what are endorsing if not failure?

"Yet today, the same failed leaders under the banner of the Ekiti Former Governors Association, with their loudmouth spokesperson, former Governor Ayo Fayose are shamelessly rallying behind another incompetent administration"

"These guys are enjoying their monthly benefits regular as paypack, yet the present governor open the state's treasury for them as a conduit pipe to their advantage at the detriment of our people,"
he said.

Otunba Fayose however urged the people of the state to stay vigilant in their quest for a new leadership paradigm which his aspiration symbolizes.

We, the Atiku Youth Wing have been made aware of plans by the Emergency rule administration in Rivers State to yet hold a democratic process - the Rivers State Local Government election.

We wish to state clearly that for the benefit of doubt, it is impossible by any logic for an Emergency rule administration to be conducting election.

If President Tinubu says democracy is suspended and that Emergency rule is in charge, then it has to reflect across board under the circumstance.

The purportedly planned Rivers State Local Government election will be null and void and of no democratic consequence should it hold while a non-elected individual is still the Head of Rivers State.

We call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nyesom Wike to bring an end to this political anomaly ongoing in Rivers State and let normalcy return to Rivers State for the good of democracy.

Acting Deputy National Welfare Secretary of Nigeria's main opposition party, African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. David Itopa (History) on Friday paid a courtesy visit to former Kogi Central Senator, M. S. Ohiare. They talked about the state of the nation, with emphasis on where the country ought to be in the nearest future if it is placed in the right hands.

"We had very fruitful conversations about where we want to be as a state in the coming years. His experience and wealth of knowledge is deep and inspiring," History said while briefing journalists after the meeting.

"We are focused on bringing everyone together and building a consensus for national building.

"It’s all about the people prospering and thriving with unity of purpose as its anchor," History further added as he discussed on what the ADC will do differently compared to the APC and every other political party.

ADC Knocks APC Over Premature Tinubu Endorsements, Says Nigeria Suffers While Ruling Party Goes into Campaign Mode Two Years Early.


The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has berated the ruling All Progressives Congress for what it calls a “non-stop victory parade” in favour of President Bola Tinubu, accusing the party of breaching electoral law and mocking citizens’ hardship with premature re-election campaigns and rallies.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, ADC spokesperson Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi said the choreographed endorsements rolling out from Abuja to Kano and the President’s campaign billboards lining the streets of Abuja, flout the Independent National Electoral Commission’s reminder that campaign activity is illegal until 150 days before the 2027 polls.

Abdullahi argued that while the APC is “hoisting billboards instead of fixing the nation’s broken economy,” inflation has soared, the naira has collapsed, petrol prices have multiplied, and kidnapping has morphed into an industry—evidence, he said, of a government distracted from its duty to govern. The ADC warned that every unlawful rally is a billboard of failure and pledged to challenge the ruling party “when the window opens, at the ballot box.”

For several months, APC organs have staged rallies and erected billboards endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term. From the Abuja national caucus that proclaimed him “sole candidate,” to choreographed declarations in Port Harcourt, Minna, Kano, and Akure. These theatrics brazenly ignore the Electoral Act and the fresh warning issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission, which reminds every politician that public campaigning is illegal until one hundred and fifty days before polling day.
While the ruling party chants “four more years” and sings songs of a sinking mandate, prices have galloped beyond the reach of ordinary citizens. Headline inflation, already twenty-two percent in 2023, rocketed to a thirty-year high of almost thirty-five percent last December and still hovers above twenty-two percent today, meaning food, transport, and rent now cost roughly sixty percent more than they did at the time he took office. The naira has crumbled from about N461 to the dollar in early 2023 to well over N1,500, wiping out savings and strangling small enterprises. Petrol that once sold for N185 per litre before subsidy removal now averages more than N1,000, turning every journey to work or market into an exercise in anguish.
Debt is devouring the treasury. The World Bank projects that servicing our obligations already swallows more than our total federal revenue, leaving scarcely a kobo for schools, clinics, or roads. Revenue mobilisation limps along at barely eleven percent of our Goss Domestic Product, far below the continental average, yet the government borrows again and again and again.
When it comes to insecurity, in communities across the nation, security has deteriorated into a national nightmare. Between April and June this year, 122 security personnel consisting of NSCDC, Police and Soldiers have been killed; 1865 civilians have been killed, and over 3132 security-related killings have been reported across the nation. Only last Friday, more than 50 people were seized in a major case of mass abduction in Sabon Gari Dirmi, north of Zamfara State. Nigerians are being abducted at an industrial scale while President Tinubu chases after adoption for second term. Instead of security personnel, our streets are lined with the President’s campaign Billboards
In the power sector, the national grid collapsed a dozen times last year and several times this year, exposing the hollowness of President Tinubu and the APC’s promises of reliable power. Corruption indices still rank Nigeria in the bottom quarter of the world and press-freedom scores have fallen ten places in a single year, as independent journalists face mounting pressure.
Under the APC, Nigerians are hungry, sick and scared, but instead of finding real solutions to these problems as they promised to do, the government has been busy building an army of digital propagandists and illusion creators.
The ADC therefore demands that the APC dismantles its unlawful campaign machinery, respect the law it swore to uphold, and focus on rescuing Nigerians from grinding inflation, a battered naira, rampant insecurity, and collapsing public services. Until the lawful campaign window opens, every political billboard is a billboard of illegality and should be removed as they are campaign materials.
The ADC will continue to hold the government accountable in the public square, and, when the time comes, at the ballot box.

ADC National Chairman, David Mark, Charges NWC Youths to Be the Engine Room of the Party

The Interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator David Mark, on Tuesday met with young members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), charging them to be the driving force of the party.

Senator Mark, a former president of the senate, encouraged the youths to take full ownership of the party and act as ambassadors, declaring them the future leaders of both the party and the nation. He pledged his full support towards enabling the younger generation to assume leadership roles within the party and ultimately, Nigeria at large.

During the meeting, David Itopa (History), the Deputy National Welfare Secretary of the ADC, advocated for a reduction in the cost of nomination forms for youth aspirants. He highlighted concerns among young Nigerians regarding the affordability of contesting elective positions, urging the party to make the process more accessible to the youth.

Itopa also called for broader participation in the party’s policy drafting process. While acknowledging the proposed 50-member policy formulation committee, he appealed for the inclusion of external experts who may not be on the main team but could contribute valuable ideas. This, he said, would help ensure a robust and inclusive policy framework for the party.


Comrade Balarabe Rufa’i, the ADC National Youth Leader, praised Senator Mark for his distinguished service as Senate President and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the ADC to greater heights. He lauded the party’s commitment to youth development, particularly through assigning key national leadership roles to young members.


Also present at the meeting were Deputy National Secretary Hauwa Yusuf, Deputy National Publicity Secretary Jackie Wayas, and other youth leaders within the party.

The engagement reflects the ADC’s renewed commitment to youth empowerment and participatory leadership as it repositions itself ahead of upcoming 2027 elections.

The Kogi State Working Committee (SWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and party faithfuls address you today after extensive deliberations over the constant and deliberate actions and activities of some members and party officials who vied for various elections on the platform of our great party in the 2023 general elections.

After reviewing their activities, especially in recent times, particularly as displayed in Harris Hotel Abuja, where some members flagrantly usurped the power of the leadership of our great party and indulged in anti party activities, we are hereby, compelled to take necessary action against them by upholding the Constitution of our great party.

In view of their disloyalty to the party and the anti party activities as well as act of insubordination embarked upon by them in contrary to the provisions of our party's Constitution, the party hereby suspend the following members in line with Article 6 Section 1,2,&4,
Article 22 Section 1,2,6,8,9&10 and Article 32, the oath of office schedule of our great party, ADC, as applicable.

Those suspended are;

(3) Hon Johnson Tayo

The above-mentioned people are suspended from today, 4th August, 2025, as unanimously agreed and endorsed by the State Working Committee (SEC) which met today Monday, 4th August, 2025 at Lokoja, Kogi State.

Having reviewed their activities by the leadership of the party and their failure to honour the invitation extended to them in lines with the stipulated law of our party since 2023, after the last governorship election and their perpetual breach of the party Constitution, most especially Hon Leke Joseph Abejide and his running mate Hon Dr Idris Omede and other state's officials of the party mentioned above.

This suspension takes immediate effect.

However, they are to appear before the national working committee for further fair hearing, as follow:

Kogi ADC Suspends Rep Abejide For Insubordination, Anti-party Activities

The Kogi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has suspended the member representing Yagba East-West/Mopamuro Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Leke Abejide from the party indefinitely.

A statement issued by the State's Secretary of the party, Adaji John in Lokoja on Friday, ADC cited gross insubordination, engaging in anti-party activities as reasons behind the move.

This is just as the party maintained that Hon. Abejide risks expulsion from the ADC should he continue to undermine the party and cast aspersions on the leadership both in the State and at the federal levels.

John in the statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja said the decision to suspend the federal lawmaker was due to his recent meeting with some members of the party in Abuja without clearance from the leadership of the ADC in Kogi State.

“The Kogi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has suspended one of our members serving in the National Assembly. The affected person is Honourable Leke Abejide, representing Yagba East-West/Mopamuro Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

“For ease of reference to specify clearly, Hon. Abejide’s suspension is based on proven case of gross insubordination and an attempt to usurp the powers of the State chairman and the Secretary. The suspension is also due to the aspersion he cast on the leadership at a recent event in Abuja, the nation’s capital,” John stated in the release.

According to the party, Hon. Abejide went beyond his limits when he attempted to lure the leadership of the party at the wards and Local Governments to a meeting with the aim of working for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) against the interest of our great party, ADC.

“We are aware of a recent meeting purportedly called by him inviting our leaders in the wards and Local Governments to Abuja, a clear violation of relevant portions of the party’s constitution which gives such powers to the chairman and secretary only,” he said.

John warned other members of the party who were sighted with the lawmaker at the anti-party gathering to "shape up or ship out", saying that ADC as a party will not tolerate any act of indiscipline.

The statement further warned the lawmaker to desist from casting aspersion on leaders of the party just as it warned him to discontinue his further association with the APC.

ADC: The APC Must Reapply to the Nigerian People in 2027
— Says “No Vacancy” Comment Arrogant and Undemocratic


The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has responded to recent comments by the new National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, that there would be "no vacancy in Aso Rock" come 2027.


In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ADC’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, described the remark as presumptuous and undemocratic, insisting that the Presidency of Nigeria is not a hereditary office, but a mandate that must be earned and renewed through performance and public trust.


According to the opposition party, the APC’s “no vacancy” statement betrays an arrogant mindset, that appears to overlook the right of Nigerian people to choose.


The ADC warned that the APC should guide against utterances that could further suggest that people’s votes would not count.

The APC Chairman’s recent declaration of “no vacancy in Aso Rock” is presumptuous and disrespectful of Nigerian people, who are tired of hunger, insecurity, joblessness, and unfulfilled promises, and therefore cannot wait to reclaim their future at the ballot box.


We understand why APC is afraid, and would wish that they could somehow avoid that day of reckoning with the ballot box. The very fact of periodic elections means that every incumbent must renew its mandate. Therefore, regardless of what APC thinks, there will be vacancy at the Presidential Villa in 2027. President Tinubu must re-apply to the Nigerian people, and he must show Nigerians why they should allow him to continue on the job, despite his ruinous policies that have made life miserable for the majority.


In 2027, APC and President Tinubu will be evaluated based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of youth employment, security of lives, hunger and poverty, electricity supply, and justice to all. And no amount of propaganda can change their report cards in the eyes of Nigerians.

While the APC government and its media operatives continue to clap for themselves, and awarding themselves medals of excellence, the price of food has continued to rise beyond the reach of majority of Nigerians, ever increasing number of our communities are being taken over by bandits, and our Naira remains battered and broken.

This is why, to declare “no vacancy” two years before an election, is to spit in the face of every Nigerian who still believes in their democratic power. It is to say: your vote does not matter. It is to mock the pain of the mothers and fathers who cannot afford food, the graduate who cannot find a job, and the entrepreneurs whose businesses have collapsed due to no fault of theirs.

Let it be known, the APC will have to reapply for the job of leading this country in 2027, and they do not get to mark their own papers.

The leading Governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Otunba Emmanuel Fayose has described the recent endorsement of Governor Biodun Oyebanji by a former governor of the state, Mr. Ayodele Fayose as shameful, deceitful and unfair to the party.

In a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital on Tuesday, Otunba Fayose however maintained that the event is of no consequence and amounts to nothing.

Otunba Fayose who is the younger brother to the former governor carpeted the move, saying the older Fayose has acted in total betrayal of the PDP, the party upon which he became the governor on two occasions.

“I watched with utter dismay, the charade carried out by supposed leaders of Ekiti State. I am referring to the supposed endorsement of Governor Biodun Oyebanji by some past governors of the state. What was even a source for concern for me was the involvement of former Governor Ayo Fayose.

“While conceding the fact that the former governor has the right and he is at liberty to take any political stance that he deems fit and proper, I am utterly disgusted that he had to carry the PDP along in his show of shame.

“My concern is such that, how could someone who had in the past benefitted immensely from the PDP on many occasions now wants to be seen to be undermining the party in a brazen and shameful manner? For me, this is shameful and does not reflect the Fayose ethos of Omoluabi in anyway.

"The event was a show of shame, with the strength of all acclaimed former Governors and decampees, rented crowd it was far less than 10,000, out of three (3) million ekiti population which clearly shows people are tired of Apc administration in the state. It was a total rejection,"
he wrote.

He however urged his brother to quit the PDP if he does not have any formula for repositioning the party to its former winning ways rather than ridiculing himself in the public space.

Kogi State ADC dispels rumours about zonal meeting


.....says only State Party Chairman and Secretary can call for meeting



Kogi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has on Monday described as fake, rumours that a meeting is called for stakeholders in the Eastern Senatorial zone.

In a statement issued by the Publicity Secretary of the party in Kogi State, Mallam Abdulmalik Suleiman in Lokoja, the party stated that no such meeting has been called.

"This is to set the record straight. The leadership of the party did not call for any zonal meeting.

"Neither the State party Chairman nor the State party Secretary who are the only leaders of the party in the State that have the authority to call for any meeting of the party in the State at a time, has called for any meeting in any of the zones of the party in the State," the statement said.

"Our current focus is on working with the leadership of the party as the party goes through its ongoing re-organisation phase and repositioning phase to align with the current yearnings of Kogites and all Nigerians as we all join hands together toward making the ADC the only credible alternative to Kogites and consequently, Nigerians, as we prepare for future polls," the statement further said.

Kogi ADC Issues Disclaimer On Formation Of New Wards, Local Government Executive Structures And coordinators

...says no directive from national headquarters until tenure of current holders expire

The Kogi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress, (ADC) has issued a disclaimer on those setting up parallel ward, local government executive committees and coordinators across the state.

In a statement issued by the Publicity Secretary of the party in Kogi State, Mallam Abdulmalik Suleiman in Lokoja on Monday, ADC stated that no action has been taken to erect structure in the various wards and local governments across the state.

The party in the statement made available to newsmen maintained that the party has not appointed a new local government, ward executives and coordinators pending the expiration of the current leadership as legally constituted.

ADC stated that contrary to the activities of some elements parading themselves as local government, ward and coordinators, the national headquarters has not taken any decision on the composition of wards and local government executive committees.

"This is to bring to the notice of our members and the general public that the national headquarters of our great party has not appointed anyone as coordinators of local government or constitute a new executives in both local government and wards across the state.

"Whoever is parading himself or herself as coordinator of the ADC in any local government or ward in Kogi State is acting on his own and not on behalf of the party.

"We are however urging our teeming members and the general public to be wary of the antics of these fifth columnists who are not acting on behalf of the ADC," the statement reads.

Suleiman further added that "The public should note that the national headquarters of the ADC led by the Interim National Chairman, Senator David Mark and the National Working Committee has not taken any firm directive with regards to the composition of wards and local government and State executive committees membership.

"The State chapter of the ADC in line with the directive of the national headquarters has however maintained that the current holders of the offices be allowed to finish their tenure of office.

"Until this is done, it would be illegal and undemocratic to tinker with the existing structure as it is currently composed," the statement reads.

From ₦12 Trillion to ₦200 Trillion: ADC Tracks APC’s Fiscal Disaster
- Says President’s Borrowing is 10 Times Worse Than Predecessor
- Demands Full Audit of Loans of Last 10 Years

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed outrage over what it describes as “fiscal vandalism” by the Tinubu administration following the approval of yet another $21 billion in foreign loans by the National Assembly. The party says this new wave of borrowing will drive Nigeria’s public debt beyond ₦200 trillion before the end of the year, with no corresponding development or economic revival to justify it.
In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC accused President Tinubu of surpassing his predecessor by mortgaging the country’s future in mountains of debts in the name of economic reform. The party also slammed the National Assembly for acting as a rubber stamp, saying lawmakers had abdicated their duty to protect Nigerians from the consequences of unsustainable debt.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is deeply concerned by the Tinubu administration’s dangerous obsession with borrowing. What Nigerians are witnessing, following the approval of a fresh $21 billion in foreign loans, is nothing short of a calculated decision to mortgage the country’s future just to cover up the failures of today.
Under President Buhari, Nigeria borrowed an average of N4.7 trillion per year, and even that caused widespread concern. But under President Tinubu, borrowing has jumped to N49.8 trillion per year. In just two years, this administration has borrowed more than ten times what Buhari borrowed in the same timeframe. At this rate, Nigeria’s total public debt will crash through N200 trillion before the end of the year. We are speeding toward a financial cliff, and those in charge seem to have no brakes, thinking they can borrow their way out of economic problems that require more thoughtful actions and greater fiscal discipline.
Supporters of this government like to argue that Tinubu’s borrowing is smaller in dollar terms, just $1.7 billion annually, compared to Buhari’s $4.15 billion. But that argument collapses the moment we look at the exchange rate. With the naira now in free fall, again thanks to this administration’s poor police choices, these same loans are costing the country far more. When converted to naira, Tinubu’s foreign borrowing amounts to N25.5 trillion every year, more than Buhari’s annual average of N2.2 trillion. What we are witnessing is the deepening of a debt trap created by economic mismanagement and a collapsed currency.
Since the APC took over in 2015, our total public debt has grown from N12.6 trillion to over N149 trillion in 2025. Over $35 billion has been borrowed from external lenders alone in the last decade of the APC. This is nearly twelve times more in just ten years Our debt to the World Bank has tripled. What we owe in Eurobonds has grown eleven times over. And now, this government wants to borrow even more, pushing our foreign debt ceiling to $67 billion
This reckless borrowing, repeated year after year, with no plan to repay it, and no effort to use it productively, will leave our children repaying debts that they did not incur or benefit from. The debts have continued to mount, but infrastructures have remained poor, universities are still grossly underfunded, hospitals are still ill-equipped and electricity supply are as poor as ever. So, what exactly are these loans used for? This is the question that Nigerians expect the National Assembly to ask. Instead, it has continued to approve these loans without asking the hard questions, without demanding a plan, and without standing up for the Nigerian people.
According to the Association of Small Business Owners of Nigeria, the cost of Tinubu’s borrowing is already crushing the very backbone of our economy. Small businesses can no longer access credit. Investors are losing confidence and pulling out. And because over 60 percent of our national income is now used to service debt, the government is turning to ordinary Nigerian families and taxing them beyond their limits.
While other countries are fighting to reduce their debts, the APC is taking out more loans. The recent devaluation of the naira should have reduced the need for external borrowing, but instead, the government has treated it as an excuse to borrow even more.
African Democratic Congress hereby demands a full disclosure of all loan agreements signed over the past ten years by the APC and the Tinubu government. Nigerians have a right to know the terms, interest rates, payment timelines, and final recipients of the loans.
We also call on President Tinubu to put an end to this fiscal recklessness, and focus instead on meaningful reform, by investing wisely, and spending responsibly. The era of borrowing to cover policy failures must come to an end.

...On some of the key decisions reached?


As you see, it's the Northern Consultative Group of the African Democratic Congress. It's a meeting of our region, the northern region, the north of Nigeria, to discuss situations in the north, especially the issue of insecurity, the issue of how we can strengthen unity in the north. There are similar meetings in the south, there are similar meetings for the southeast, all coalesced under the African Democratic Congress.


So this particular meeting today is for the Northern part of Nigeria. And like I said, it's for the purpose of getting briefings from all the states to know what the issues are, what the challenges are, and the progress we are making in terms of building this coalition.


A lot of people will wonder that your coalition has taken over a particular group that was basically not a political body before?

Like I said, I mean, they are regional consultations, if you have the southeast governors forum, it doesn't mean that they are not governors of Nigeria. If you have a southwest governors forum, it doesn't mean that they are not governors of Nigeria.

So if you have a northern consultative group within the ADC, there is nothing wrong with that. Just like you have the southern consultative group within the same party, or a southeast consultative group or southwest, you can leave this place and have a northeast consultative group. So there is nothing wrong with that.


There is this prediction that ADC, the coalition, will scatter within six months. How do you react to this?

Well, we are counting. It's how many months now? How many months have we spent now? You know, when we started, they said it's dead on arrival, right? Now they are giving us six-month lifespan.After six months, they will extend it. Because the coalition is a coalition of Nigerians. It's a coalition that represents the desired interest of Nigerians to be free from the current crisis of existence that they are facing. Every Nigerian that is hungry knows that he doesn't want this to continue. Every Nigerian that is finding it difficult to pay his children's school fees, whose salary has been reduced to just a piece of paper, knows that he needs an alternative. And the only alternative today is the ADC.


So if they continue to say that, let them continue to wish that this will collapse, but I can assure you the leadership of the ADC is very clear about the challenges that we are facing. We are very clear about the trust that Nigerians put in us. Every single day we receive messages from across this country saying that you people should please ensure that this succeeds because this is our only hope. So they can continue to wish as much as they want, they can continue to predict as much as they want, but for us we are very clear about where we are going and where we want to take Nigeria.


What are you doing to have some serving governors in your folds?




We don't need to particularly target any serving governor. We know that no serving governor will want to come to us now because of the kind of intimidation that they are facing. We know what they are doing to them. Some of them who cannot jump to their party are saying we are endorsing their presidential candidate. No problem. But what you are seeing is a conspiracy against the Nigerian people. The ADC welcomes everybody, but we are convinced that we are a movement that has the backing of the majority of Nigerians who are not happy with the direction this country is going.


Fear of party being hijacked?


No, ADC is not... You see, the process for the building of the party ensures that the party does not coalesce around any individual. And like I repeatedly emphasised, the ADC is not built for anybody's ambition. ADC is a party that is determined to give a different trajectory to Nigerian politics. We don't have any predetermined agenda. We don't have any favourite aspirant or candidate. We are not having any conversation at the moment. Nobody has ever had any conversation about who will be the party's flag bearer. We believe that it is too early in the day. Our focus now is to build a political party that is strong enough to deliver on the mission that we have set for ourselves.

Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has expressed deep concerns over the disturbing allegations of land grabbing, corruption, and gross abuse of office by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and the deafening silence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the issue.

Frank in a statement in Abuja, said recent revelations by People’s Gazette and Senator Ireti Kingibe have brought to light a series of atrocities and impunity being allegedly perpetuated under the leadership of the FCT Minister.

According to him, Wike’s alleged illegal allocation of lands to his family members, cronies, and political associates at the expense of genuine applicants “is a national scandal that demands urgent intervention.”

It is alleged that Wike dishes out land on a daily basis to friends, family, and associates, while ordinary citizens and investors with genuine needs for both personal and commercial purposes are sidelined.

His actions reportedly extend to revoking land from an embassy just to gift it to a personal associate - a clear case of impunity.

Frank who is the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) Ambassador to East Africa and the Middle East, said: “This blatant disregard for the rule of law will discourage local and foreign investors, leading to economic setbacks for the FCT and Nigeria as a whole.”

He condemned the seeming silence of President Tinubu and anti-corruption agencies on the matter.

He said: “Mr President let me remind you that former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Betta Edu’s case was not as grievous compared to what Wike has done yet you suspended her and sacked her.

“So why is Wike’s case different despite the public expose’? This clearly shows that you are either a beneficiary of Wike’s land grabbing spree or an accomplice by your refusal to act in the face of public outcry against the heist.”

He added: “The continued silence of President Tinubu in the face of these weighty allegations is both troubling and unacceptable. If these actions by the FCT Minister go unchecked, they will tarnish the President’s image and administration.

“What does this silence say about your government, Mr. President? Are you, by omission or commission, endorsing these corrupt practices to build patronage and raise funds for the 2027 elections?”

He described the failure of the nation’s security and anti-corruption agencies - the Police, EFCC, ICPC and others - to probe the allegations as equally disturbing, saying, “Are these institutions now complicit in Wike’s alleged corrupt practices?”

He equally lamented the inaction of the National Assembly with oversight responsibility over the FCT administration.

He said: “It is shocking that the National Assembly, which has oversight functions over the FCT, has remained quiet despite these allegations. Could it be that they, too, have benefitted from Wike’s land distribution scheme?”

He insisted that Wike’s alleged land-grabbing tendencies are not new: “His record in Rivers State speaks volumes, where he is rumoured to be one of the highest private landowners. Now, he is replicating the same pattern in the FCT, using proxies such as his father, children, siblings, and close friends.

“How did his 95-year-old father or children, who have never worked, suddenly acquire prime lands in Abuja? This reeks of conflict of interest and corruption of the highest order.”

He called on the President to act now to save his image and that of his administration over the brewing scandal.

He said: “Mr. President, the Nigerian people are watching. If you fail to act, history will remember that by 2027, you left the indigenous people of Abuja as internally displaced persons in their own city.

“You promised Nigerians a government of integrity. Where is the investigation panel you once vowed to set up? Has it all been lip service?”

The Bayelsa-born political activist demanded the immediate resignation or suspension of Wike to allow for an independent investigation into the allegations, saying, “Anything short of this will imply that you (President Tinubu) and your family are direct beneficiaries of this corruption.

“Suspend Wike immediately and set up an independent panel of inquiry into all FCT land allocations since he assumed office.

“Ensure accountability for all public officers involved in this alleged land-grabbing scandal and restore confidence in the rule of law and the sanctity of the FCT’s land administration process.

“Enough is enough! Wike hides under the guise of flashy projects while engaging in unprecedented corruption. Past FCT Ministers developed new districts such as Wuye, Jabi, and Jahi without looting or noise. Why must we tolerate such impunity now?

“Mr. President, relieve Wike of his duties and let him answer for his sins. Your inaction will only confirm that impunity and corruption are the hallmarks of your administration.”

Nigeria is at a cross-road now. We have never had it this bad before. As the average Nigerian goes to sleep tonight, he is not certain of what his next meal will be.

The average Nigerian is tired, tired under the yoke of the APC, tired under the unimaginable suffering brought upon Nigeria by Tinubu Government.

Now, more than ever before, we have no where else to turn to. Our savings as individuals are exhausted already. We are simply surviving by faith now.

This is why we need to support Atiku. Atiku is the only person who can help us wrestle power from the incumbent. His coalition can do it. They have done it before, we are convinced they can do it again.

We need to support a Presidential candidate who can lead the opposition everyday till victory is secured and Nigeria is rescued from the APC.

We are not supporting Atiku for selfish reasons. In fact, we are calling on Atiku to formally join the 2027 Presidential race already because everyday that passes by now with him not yet formally declaring ambition to contest for the 2027 Presidential election is a day of hope lost in the heart of the common man.

The common man needs to know that Tinubu and the APC will be voted out of power, come 2027. The common man needs a figure to rally around so that he can confidently express his frustration about how the Government is suffering himself without fear of being intimidated by the Government.

Atiku is the hope of the masses. Atiku is the hope of the common man. Across North and South, Atiku is the answer to the yearnings of the citizens for answers as to what next for the future of Nigeria.

Yes, there is a future for Nigeria. Atiku will not let APC finish this precious country of ours, and that is why we are calling on Atiku to declare ambition to contest for office of President of Nigeria already so that we can rally around him and mobilise strongly across the length and breadth of Nigeria in our bid to as patriotic citizens sensitize fellow citizens on the need for us to join our hope and faith together to vote out the APC, come 2027.

Andrew said "It is unfortunate and uncivilized for a State Governor to be threatening a private citizen from coming to his State."

"Former Governor Peter Obi is a national leader. He is not just a former Governor, he is a former Presidential candidate who has about six million voters behind him, he is a national and international philanthropist who goes about doing good works.

"It is therefore unfortunate and demarketing of our dear Edo State for the Governor of the State to be publicly threatening His Excellency Peter Obi not to come to Edo State," Andrew lamented.


"On behalf of Monday Okpebholo, I apologize to His Excellency Peter Obi. I believe it was a slip of tongue. Definitely, Monday Okpebholo was speaking his own personal mind and not the mind of the people of Edo State when he made that threat comment against His Excellency Peter Obi.

"We Edo people are peace-loving people, we are not known for violence. The insecurity in Edo State is a major concern that we expect Monday to pay attention to, and not politicize under any guise.
I am very certain that President Tinubu is so disappointed in the way and manners Edo State Governor is disgracing the APC.

He came to appreciate the party and its members for their efforts all through the campaigns and all through till the very end. His message of appreciation was well-received by everyone in the party, from the support groups up to the party leadership itself.

Just as the Coalition paid the glowing tribute to the immediate past President, President Muhammadu Bihari who died in the London Hospital after a brief illness on Sunday.

Senator Ogbeha who represented Kogi West Senatorial District on the platform of the Peoples Democratic PDP at National Assembly , explained that the coalition had already scheduled the programme before the news of the death of the former President Bihari filtered to town yesterday.

…Urges President Ruto to stop the massacre

Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has strongly condemned the killing of unarmed protesters in Kenya by security forces.

Frank who described the killings as barbaric and unacceptable in a democracy, pleaded passionately with President Williams Ruto of Kenyan to urgently halt the killings by calling the security agencies to order.

The Kenyan police had fired to disperse demonstrators in Nairobi marking the 35th anniversary of pro-democracy rallies on Monday, where police said 11 people were killed and about 567 arrested nationwide in the latest anti-government protests to end in bloodshed.

The demonstrations mark the 35th anniversary of the historic Saba Saba - meaning "seven-seven" - protests of 7 July 1990, which launched Kenya's push for multi-party democracy.

The death of blogger Albert Ojwang in police custody last month has given the protests fresh impetus, fuelling anger against the authorities and bringing hundreds onto the streets, according to Reuters.

“It is time to stop these avoidable murders,” Frank said, while urging the Kenyan Government to follow the rule of law in bringing the protests to an end.

He called for immediate release of all detained protesters by the Kenyan Police and commiserated with families who have lost loved ones to the protest.

“They would be remembered as those who died fighting for a better future for their country,” he said.

He reminded Ruto, his friend, that the peaceful and unarmed protesters now being killed and thrown into jails for advocating for good governance, voted despite intimidation and harassment to elect him to office.

“The right thing to do is not to kill them but to dialogue with them,” he said. “This is democracy. You were elected and these were the people who believed in you and voted for you and it is their constitutional right to protest if they are dissatisfied with your administration.”

According to him, the use of lethal force against peaceful protesters is a direct breach of international law, especially the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights.

“This nonsense in Africa has to stop where African leaders will be killing peaceful protesters unnecessarily,” he said. “But when they need the vote of the people, they will dance with them and make all kinds of promises.”

He called for immediate sanctions against the Ruto and his administration and a travel ban on chiefs of police that shot protesters with live ammunition.

He called on the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump and the United Nations to intervene and call Ruto to order over his dictatorial actions.

“It is wrong to kill protesters. Instead of killing them, it is the duty of government to protect them,” he said. “We saw recently when there was protest against Trump. They did not deploy the National Guard to kill the protesters but rather to protect them and that is what democracy is all about.

“This is a time for Trump to speak out for those young Africans being killed for demanding good governance and to see to it that they get justice,” he said.

Frank who is the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) Ambassador to East Africa and the Middle East, called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutors to investigate and prosecute Ruto and his security chiefs for the ongoing killing of innocent youths.

He urged the protesters to be courageous and resolute in their demand in spite of the high highhandedness of the security forces against them.

He condemned the leadership of the Africa Union for their irresponsible act by not speaking up in the face of a heinous crime being perpetrated against youths in the continent.

“African heads of state and governments only speak when a coup takes place and one of their own is affected and that is the only time they are relevant. This is most unfortunate,” he said.

Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has cautioned leaders of the coalition out to wrest power from President Bola Tinubu in 2027 to remain focused on their goal.

He warned that any attempt to exclude any region from participating in the contest to select a presidential candidate for the coalition would result in a stillbirth for the movement.

He also commended the leaders of the coalition for doing a great job so far and urged them not to be distracted by selfish agitation targeted at derailing their objective which is to galvanize opposition to win the 2027 presidential election.

Frank in a statement in Abuja, said Nigerians need a competent and compassionate president that would help restore the waning glory of the country and not one elected based on ethnic sentiments.

“Nigeria needs a president for all Nigerians, not president for northern or southern Nigeria.
We need a president that will help tackle and solve the nation’s myriad of challenges, both political, social and economic - like insecurity, unemployment, poverty, deteriorating health and education systems, among others.

He said: “For 2027, the president can come from anywhere, whether north or south. Let the Nigerian electorate vote their choice, whether from north, south, east or west.

“All I'm saying is that Nigerians need a better president, a people's president that will be elected based on popular mandate.

“If a Southern or Northern candidate is popular enough for Nigerians to vote for him across board, let him emerge as the president.

“Those saying that the South alone must produce presidential candidates for 2027 should perish the thought because their utterances are not only divisive but cast members of the coalition from the remaining five geopolitical zones as mere tools to attain the presidency.”

The Bayelsa-born political activist further declared that what should be of concern to the leaders of the coalition in the current dispensation
should not be about region but capacity and general acceptability across the country.

“What Nigerians want is a candidate that is competent and suited for the job.
If you say you are popular enough, what are you afraid of? Go for primaries and let there be free and fair primaries.

“If a Northern candidate wins, fine ans good. If a Southern candidate wins, fine and good. They should all support any candidate that emerges to win the presidential elections,” he said.

He noted that for those claiming that the South should be allowed to complete their remaining four-year-term from 2027, “how does a Southern President or a Northern President even benefit the south or the North. People from the regions of all the successive presidents either the South or North have always complained of neglect.

“ Southerners have complained against Jonathan and Obasanjo that they did not do anything. Now, we have a Southerner as president, they are still complaining but continue to insist for another term.Ditto, Northerners have complained about Buhari for not doing anything for them.

He added: “I am opposed to the argument that a Northern aspirant should not contest. If it is a Northern aspirant that will give Nigerians the type of president we are looking for in Nigeria, let that aspirant run for the 2027 presidential election.

“If it is a Southern aspirant that will give Nigerians progressive governance let that aspirant contest, emerge as candidate, and win the presidential election. The South should be careful and urgently refrain from agitating for this so-called Southern presidency.”

Frank who is the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) Ambassador to East Africa and the Middle East, urged the coalition not to succumb to any ethnic blackmail masked by agitation for a Southern Presidency.

“Everybody in the coalition is equal and there must be equal opportunities for all. What is paramount is not the issue of North or South. It's the issue of who will rescue Nigeria. Who will end insecurity. Who will end poverty. Who will end unemployment and human rights abuses, among others,” he said.

He declared that “What Nigerians need is leadership irrespective of religious affiliation of ethnic extraction.

“Since we attained democracy in Nigeria from 1999 till date, the South has benefited from the politics more than the North in terms of the number of years it has ruled the country from 1999 till date.

“Obasanjo had eight years, Yar’Adua had two years, Jonathan had six years, Buhari had eight years and Tinubu has had two years with two more years to go.

“Therefore, it is clear that by 2027, the South would have benefited 18 years while the North only 10 years. So who has benefited more since 1999?

“As a southerner, I stand for the truth even though it may be bitter. Nigeria is one and what we need is leadership with experience.

“Democracy is all about contests and there should be open and fair contest. I am calling on the new leadership of the ADC to ensure free, fair and open primary elections to choose a presidential candidate for the coalition. There should be no zoning.”

He warned that the agitation for a Southern candidate by some members of the coalition can lead to crisis that would further divide the country along regional lines.

“If we talking about a better Nigeria, what we should look for is a change that will benefit the people, and a president elected by generality of Nigerians not whether from South or north,” he said.

The events of last Monday in Abuja, the nation's capital where great Nigerians came together to offer the country a viable alternative to the rudderless Bola Tinubu led government has continued to generate ripples across the land.

Being of epochal proportion, especially in the history of Nigeria, the unveiling of the African Democratic Congress, ADC by various political gladiators has continued to generate comments.

The comments have both been positive and negative in almost equal measure considering where one stands in the emerging political equation in the build up to the forthcoming 2027 general election.

To many Nigerians who yearn for genuine change, the event was a welcome development owing to the fact that it will not only provide a viable alternative to the current regime, it would also be the platform for a peaceful change of government.

To those in government, it is a bad development considering the fact that the ruling All Progressives Congress APC led government had been working to emasculate opposing and dissenting opinions.

It is no longer news that the Bola Tinubu led government had been working assiduously to destroy the various opposition parties more than engaging in active governance.

Therefore, last Monday's event has continued to be the game changer which is trying to change the political dynamics ahead of the 2027 poll.

It is however unfortunate to note that rather than reacting to the development in a decent and civil manner, members of the APC within and outside government have opted to engage in trading insults and name calling.

In their panic mode, they have continued to drag the leading lights of the ADC in a manner that suggests that they are in their panic mode considering that Nigerians have continued to express happiness to the resurgence of the ADC.

One name that has continued to be on the lips of these elements is that of the National Secretary of the ADC, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

To these individuals, Aregbesola who is the immediate past Minister of the Interior has betrayed their God, President Tinubu whom many of them believe wrongfully of being infallible.

Aregbesola's decision to team up with the likes of Atiku Abubakar, Nasir el-Rufai, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi is a sacrilege which can be equated to desecrating their warped progressive temple.

In their quest to sound reasonable and logical, they have shouting up to the mountain tops telling whoever tries to listen that President Tinubu brought Aregbesola up not only politically but in all ramifications.

However their attempt to sound logical, they have unwittingly given themselves away as a bunch of hypocrites and liars because they have continued to suppress or ignore facts in their warped postulations with regards to the kind of relationship that existed between the two.

In doing this, they have insisted that President Tinubu is the good guy while Ogbeni Aregbesola is the Judas who is stabbing his boss at the back.

A cursory look at the relationship between the two gladiators would reveal that many of the assertions being peddled are very untrue.

While one must concede that the relationship between the two personalities while like that of a mentor and mentee, it was somewhat built on mutual trust and shared respect and not that of master and servant as they are making Nigerians to believe.

No doubt, they both gained from each other while the political association between them lasted.

While President Tinubu might have provided the compass for successful political trajectory that the progressive bloc in the South West eventually turned out to be for the two, Aregbesola was indeed the field commander in many of the political struggles that they waged.

So therefore, many of the political ideas President Tinubu had in the past would have amount to nothing if the likes of Rauf Aregbesola were not there to carry them out

It must be noted that the division that necessitated the drifting of the former Minister away from his boss would not have occurred if the right steps and the not the wrong ones had been taken.

It is normal for disagreements to occur in relationships, efforts must always be geared towards resolving such misgivings in the overall interest of the collective whole but this was not the case.

The final straw that eventually broke was the expulsion of the former minister from the APC without recourse to laid down procedures and rules of party for carrying out such action.

It is said that nature abhors vacuum, since he was shown the way out of the APC, it is only logical that Aregbesola will naturally find accommodation somewhere else which he has done.

If by taking this decision, the Ijesa born politician has committed some form of hara-kiri in the eyes of his traducers who still believe that he has to worship their god who can do no wrong, so be it.

For now, members of the APC who are significantly pained by this decision would have to find a way or means to live with it.

Perhaps, these elements should look beyond the Aregbesola in ADC frenzy and look at how their party win win reelection come 2027, a possibility that is gradually fading away by the day.

From all indications, Aregbesola's association has become a loss to them and a bonus to the ADC and so it shall continue to be.

PDP chieftain and good governance advocate, Andrew Enantomhen has on Wednesday congratulated Senator Samuel Anyanwu on his official re-instatement as the National Secretary of the PDP, by the PDP NEC.

Andrew Enantomhen spoke at the end of the NWC meeting of the party which was well attended by all the NWC members of the party.

The NWC meeting which was presided over by Amb. Ilya Damagum and Senator Samuel Anyanwu, in their respective capacities as Acting National Chairman and National Secretary was applauded by many leaders, members and supporters of the party as a right step in the right direction towards repositioning the party.

Andrew Enantomhen, while fielding questions on the sidelines to newsmen at the party headquarters in Abuja, said the re-instatement of Anyanwu is long overdue and that the issues should never have been at first as "Senator Samuel Anyanwu's mandate is clear and was never under doubt for a day."

Andrew Enantomhen called for healing in the party and called on Senator Samuel Anyanwu to be magnanimous towards everyone in the party who may have made his position as National Secretary of the party threatened in the course of the past months that the "struggle lasted".

Andrew Enantomhen described it all as the beauty of democracy and asked that all parties for and against should move on and get to a round-table and commence the process of healing and unity among themselves as party stakeholders.

He commended the party leadership for "doing the right thing, after considering the issues and the Supreme Court judgement and the future of the party that is at stake."

He re-stated that now more than ever before, the PDP is well repositioned to resume its role fully as the main opposition party in Nigeria and to serve as alternative platform for Nigerians ahead of 2027 elections.

"I want to use this opportunity to call on all our party leaders, members and supporters across the country to rally strong behind the capable leadership of Amb. Ilya Damagum and Senator Samuel Anyanwu to reposition our great party, the PDP, as the main opposition party to challenge the APC in the forthcoming 2027 Presidential election," Andrew Enantomhen said.

Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, on speaking truth to power by condemning the anti-democratic actions of the President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Dickson had shortly after President Tinubu delivered his State of the Nation Address before a joint session of the National Assembly to commemorate 26 years of uninterrupted democratic governance in the country, kicked against the anti-democratic posture of the
present administration.

Addressing the press at the National Assembly, Dickson who represents Bayelsa West on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 10th Senate slammed Tinubu for not mentioning the state of emergency he imposed on Rivers State and the arbitrary suspension of including Governor Siminalayi Fubara and all members of the State House of Assembly for six months.

He also accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of suppression for not allowing his point of order earlier in the Senate Chamber before the joint sitting session where he moved to complain about letters from the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, seeking Senate’s confirmation of nominees for appointment into the State Electoral Commission as well as Civil and Local Government Service Commissions of Rivers State.

He commended Dickson for his patriotism and courage in pointing out the irony in the Democracy Day celebration with fanfare by the executive and legislature while a state in the country is under military rule.

He described Dickson as a hero and present day defender of democracy in the country by courageously opposing the democratic aberration in Rivers state imposed by Tinubu.

Frank said: Senator Dickson played the role of a true opposition by speaking the minds of ordinary Nigerians. He did not just make me proud as a citizen of Nigeria, he has made me proud as an Ijaw son. He has made me proud as a Bayelsan. He has made me proud as a Niger Delta son and he has made the entire country proud by speaking truth to power against those destroying our democracy and the country.

“He spoke the truth at a time when so many politicians cutting across party divides in Nigeria have become political cowards and sycophants, he came out boldly to speak the truth.

“Posterity will remember him for his principled stance in condemning undemocratic tendencies of he of the Tinubu administration.

“History will never forget him because when Nigerians expected leaders especially those in government to speak the truth, he's the only one who has confronted the truth and the true position of our democracy.”

He lamented that the ruling APC and Tinubu’s Government don't believe in democracy and the rule of law. They believe in impunity, dictatorship and one party state.

He added: “What Dickson has done is akin to what lawmakers often do in foreign countries where democracy is being practiced like the United States and the United Kingdom and even South Africa where you see lawmakers confronting the president with the truth and expectation of the people.

“It might look like he is alone, but we want to let him know that the Nigerian masses are with him.

“Even if his colleagues across party lines may not support him due to cowardice in his bid to save our democracy, Nigerians and the world are with him, and we are encouraging him to do more by being fearless as usual.”

He noted that other members of the National Assembly during the joint session knew that the president's speech was highly laced with propaganda and deceit but because of sycophancy they kept singing the praises of the President.

He added: “We know that with what Dickson has done there might be plans to suspend him the way the Senate did to other senators who have stood up for the truth in the past but let him not be perturbed because God and Nigerians will fight for him.

“For it is better for him to be with God and the people who are in the majority than to take sides with the evil and satanic leaders who are working to destroy democracy in Nigeria.”

According to him, “It is shameful that the minority caucus in the Senate has been totally compromised because if there was a strong opposition, the minority leader of the Senate is supposed to have taken the action that Dickson took.

“Unfortunately, we have a compromised minority leader who is only doing the bidding of the ruling party. Since Abba Moro became the minority leader, he has not been able to condemn or criticize the anti-democratic and unconstitutional policies of government.

“Were Nigeria a country practicing true democracy, someone like Senator Dickson would have been the minority leader of the Senate in this political dispensation.”

According to him, a government that is doing well is not supposed to be forcing or intimidating people to join their political party but this is what we are witnessing in Nigeria where harassment and intimidation of the opposition has become the new state policy.

He condemned politicians who have sold their conscience, history will judge them harshly someday because they see the suffering in the land but have turned their faces away from the people because they want to be in the good books of the ruling party.

“But whether now or later, this government will go and Nigeria will remain and they too would remain to face the consequences of their action and inaction,” Frank said.

Edo PDP chieftain and youth advocate, Andrew Enantomhen has on Friday felicitated with all Muslim brothers and sisters in Edo Central and Edo State on the occasion of this year's Eid el-Kabir festival.

He also used the opportunity to remind the political office holders in the State to remember their duty is to the people of Edo State and not to anybody else.

He furthermore, urged them on the essence of sacrifice. He reminded them that public office is 'service to the people and not service to oga or service to self'.

He concluded by asking all Edo Central citizens and all Edo State citizens to remember the State in their prayers for God to "give our leaders across board the wisdom to pilot the affairs of the State".

He further urged the Muslim brothers and sisters in the State to put the State in prayers against "the incessant insecurity, kidnapping and hardship that have been ravaging the State for a while now".

"We must remember that Edo comes first before anything and as such we must be patriotic and bear true behavioural reflection of the ideals of our founding fathers," Andrew Enantomhen concluded.

There, beneath the merciless gaze of a scorching sun. ONWARD! To the hallowed, sacred grounds of Amaimo High School. THEN! To the bursting and untamed rivers of the Niger Delta, the pulsating cauldron of intellectual ferment that is Port Harcourt University! HIGHER STILL! Ascending to the majestic, centuries-old spires and venerable chambers of Cambridge Judge Business School! AND FINALLY! To the illustrious, ivy-draped corridors of Harvard Kennedy School of Policy and Leadership! Where titans of tomorrow are forged. (I would implore treacherous and deceitful men like the self-serving southwestern governor, the duplicitous southeastern political saboteur, and their minions to contest this excellence.)




In a Nigerian political landscape often characterized by shifting alliances and broken promises, Senator Anyanwu stands as a refreshing anomaly, a man whose word is his bond.

"When Senator Anyanwu gives you his word, you can take it to the bank." Those who have worked closely with him speak of his unwavering loyalty.

For instance, in the 2019 Imo State governorship elections, when party unity was threatened by competing ambitions, Senator Anyanwu, despite having a strong claim to the PDP governorship ticket, stepped aside to preserve harmony and advance collective interest. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha was a beneficiary of this sacrifice and was declared winner with the intervention of the then governor and now FCT Minister Wike (the acclaimed friend you're using to crucify a just man) and some other PDP stakeholders in the primaries, when it was obvious Anyanwu would have won on all grounds.


Where other political opportunists would have jumped ship or created a stir during elections with court processes, Anyanwu supported a party man under the PDP.

Wait, has our very own political defector Emeka Ihedioha, who has dumped the PDP and recruited his minions to say all sorts of things against the party and Sen, Anyanwu, hurriedly forgotten how he Emeka Ihedioha received from Sen Samuel Anyanwu am Amount so monumentally staggering in his parlor in the presence of his wife to support him in that same 2019 elections? I wait for him to publicly or by any means deny this or challenge me.

More recently, in the 2023 presidential elections when Wike fell out with Atiku after the PDP primaries and worked against him over a gentleman's agreement whereas Atiku refused to keep his part of the agreement it was Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu (Wike's friend) who signed the party's candidacy form to INEC as the National Secretary. Heaven would not have fallen if he had refused to do so and sabotaged the party's candidate in the elections. He is not a sellout but a party man to the core.


Sen, Anyanwu was in every state of the federation with Atiku Abubakar, campaigning using his personal resources, whereas Atiku didn't show up or support Anyanwu, a party man, in the Imo governorship elections in 2023, yet up until now the biggest portrait in Anyanwu's office is the picture of himself and Atiku during the the 2023 presidential elections.(politics without bitterness) I can now boldly say, Atiku Abubakar can no longer be trusted politically, as he has serially betrayed this party over his ambitious political pursuits. It is widely known and on record how he betrayed President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP in 2015 to form what is now the APC, a party that had made him Vice President for 8 consecutive years No, Atiku can no longer be addressed statesman and has no principles or political ideology, unlike Anyanwu who has remained with the party, come rain or shine, since 1998. Anyanwu said, "I would rather lose standing for what I believe than win by betraying my conscience." (Divine mandate!)

The rise to becoming the National Secretary of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) further demonstrates the trust placed in him by party leaders across the nation. In October 2021, he was unanimously adopted as the South-East consensus candidate for this critical position, a testament to his reputation for trustworthiness and competence. Also, the Supreme Court's affirmation of his position as the legitimate National Secretary of the PDP early this year (2025) further cemented his standing as a man who fights and wins his battles through legitimate means.

Perhaps, another remarkable aspect of Senator Anyanwu's leadership I admire so much is his commitment to mentoring young people and creating pathways for their growth and development.

Unlike many political leaders who view promising young talents as threats, he actively identifies, nurtures, and promotes emerging leaders.

Just some days ago, amidst political turmoil, he single-handedly sponsored youths across the nation regardless of background, status, or political affiliation in an all expenses paid 4-day media seminar in the city of Uyo, myself included.
A young political protege shares: "What makes Senator Anyanwu different is that he doesn't just give you opportunities; he invests time in teaching you how to maximize those opportunities."Leaders like Senator Anyanwu provide hope that with the right leadership guided by integrity, compassion, and divine wisdom, a brighter future is not just possible. It's inevitable.

For members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Imo State indigenes, South Easterners, and Nigerians seeking authentic leadership, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu "Sam Daddy" represents a model worth emulating and supporting. His story reminds us that when resilience overcomes adversity, and when divine favor meets human efforts, extraordinary results become possible.

Lastly, Senator Anyanwu is and has been the National Secretary of PDP until December 2025, and the position is not up for debate, so impostors should be aware!
