I have appealed and is three years now.. going to ABUJA thrice a year for on this matter

We went on the trip together. So I know he went for the trip. When they told him the nonsense, he told them that he will send his lawyers. So they told him that since it was a passport tissue, they will hand his passport over to immigrations. He got his passport back from Immigrations and has travelled within Africa since then. But I doubt he will ever make it to the US.

The US embassy assumes every trip by road to Ghana is fake. Due to Nigerians who send their passports to and fro Ghana just for stamps to show that they have traveled abroad, and corrupt immigration officials on that corridor. If you really did travel, threaten to sue them. It happened to a friend of mine in Abuja. He had to get a lawyer involved and then they released his passport. You may never smell US again though.

1) Did he also sue U.S EMBASSY AND IF HE DID WHAT WAS THE OUTCOME..

And I have been to DOFIT..
I was advised by the head of DOFIT TO APPEAL MY CASE..
HIS NAME IS NGINI AND HE WAS LATER POSTED TO HEAD ABIA STATA COMMAND BEFORE HIS SUDDEN DEMISE ..
SINCE THEN OTHERS ARE JUST TURNING ME UPS AND DOWN..

It’s called the ECOWAS Travel Certificate, yes it can also be used for traveling within the ECOWAS but some overzealous immigration officials in some countries (Cape Verde came to my mind now) may not honour it and deny holder entry into their country.

How did you now clear your name in U.S EMBASSY AFTER YOUR PASSPORT WAS GIVEN YOU BACK?

I'm sure a lot of people did not understand your initial write up. It wasn't clear at all. . I thought your passport is still with NIS. I want to assume others think so. You can actually send a mail to US embassy explaining all that has transpired and the outcome of the situation. Though you won't be able to attach any document. Check their website you'll see where you can send a mail to. They do read it and they take note. Write your passport no and application date of when the incident happened. Then reapply for visa and go with all your evidence and any letter from immigration. Goodluck.

My passport was issued me at NIS FESTAC, LAGOS.. Hence it can't be faked..

I didn't go to Ghana for any illegal assignment.. I am working and I have a striving business..

I went to Ghana for genuine reasons and I have proved myself cleared before NIS INTERROGATORS..

Did you go to Ghana to do something illegal? What was the exact pin-pointed issue with the Ghana trip?

They can't size your passport except you are on a crime watchlist or indicted for something illegal or carrying a fake passport.

yes it’s possible from what have read online so far a lot of people have genuinely traveled by road to Ghana and wen dey get to embassy they were told they have fake stamp mostly uk embassy
Generally what have notice is if you pass tru seme you wouldn’t have any problem but other boarders they always have problem

I repeat I did travel through GO EXPRESS from maza maza lagos and our bus passed through SEME BORDER.

NIS STAMPED MY PASSPORT OUT AND BENIN IMMIGRATION STAMPED US IN SO IT WAS IN EACH BORDER WE CROSSED..

IN EACH OF THE BORDERS THE ENTIRE PASSENGERS WILL COME COME DOWN OR BE CHECKED BY THEIR IMMIGRATION AND THE DRIVER WILL TAKE OUR PASSPORTS TO THE IMMIGRATION OFFICE FOR STAMPING..

AS SOON AS WE CROSSED INTO GHANA TERRITORY OUR PASSPORTS WERE HANDED OVER TO US...

I STAYED TWO DAYS AND RETURNED THROUGH ARIK AIRLINE..

I HAVE THIS PROFFS WITH ME..

THE FRAUD DISCOVERY PAPER ISSUED ME AT THE U.S EMBASSY WAS EXTERIC " GHANA NIGHT TRIP STAMPS" AS A REASON FOR MY DENIAL..

ON THIS GROUND I HAVE APPEARED BEFORE HIGH POWERFUL INTERROGATORS AND INVESTIGATORS AT NIS ABUJA.

Passport would be seized and forwarded to immigration headquarters, don't forget that passport is not your property as well but that of the government once a crime or forgery or fake stamps is used on it. so once any embassies noticed that you have fake stamps in your passport , you may not lay hands on it because they withheld it and forward it to the immigration , just like taking a fake money to the bank for deposit, do the bank return it back to you?

My assumption is that if indeed there were fake stamps NIS would have detained me when I appeared..

Note also that no agent helps me

Okay why don't you appear at NIN Abuja with all your documents showing evidences of your trip to Ghana and let another head of the panel assist you in appealing your case now simple. if the other person has died look for another person to help you unless the case is more than you make it and is difficult to solve

The last visit at NIS I was asked to write a REMINDER LETTING to the C.G's office..
I have done that and submitted it for about a year now..

They kept telling me patient soon you will be happy...

I don't understand why it's taking so long??

I even asked one of the immigration officers if I should involve lawyer he said no , but I should just exercise patience

The people that interrogated me asked me to appeal and I have done that..

Unfortunately the major man handling it died and since then it has been ups and down

The man who was to assist died not quite long and it has been traumatic..

NIS has not told me I have been banned or passport seized..
They have only been given me hope..

The only thing that will make a foreign mission to hold on to your passport at their embassy is if there is a FORGERY ON IT OR IT HAD BEEN TAMPERED WITH.


I can't really understand but something tells me that you attempt using a tampered passport.
Don't waste your time in Pursuing any case except you have a genuine and convincing evidence,in which you have to engage the services of a lawyer to institute a Court case.

Pls can someone with experience advise?

My passport was seized in U.S Embassy Abuja and I was referred to NIN for further investigation..

Reason for the seizure was my journey to Ghana in 2018..

During the secondary interrogation at the Embassy I was asked evidence of my journey to Ghana unfortunately,I didn't carry them along..

I appeared at NIN Abuja with all my documents before board of senior investigators and interrogators..

After showing evidences of my trip to Ghana the head of the panel asked me to appeal my case that he will personally assist me..

Unfortunately he died on the process..

Since then I have been going to NIN ABUJA HEAD OFFICE,BUT MY EFFORTS HAS YIELDED NO RESULTS...

The above experience, as narrated, has caused me unimaginable trauma and costs....

Any helpful advice will be appreciated....
