Fellow Nigerians,i once read about a technique used in camp to survive ridiculous and strenous exercises done in nysc camps.it is called ''the fainting plantoon''.whenever you feel that you cant take any rigorous exercise and training, just close your eyes and collapse on the ground.,though you can do this with a smile on your face. Let the fainting begin! |
![]() I must totally cast my blame on the Peace mass transit company.Their overspeeding no get part2.sometimes,i wonder if they are rushing to heaven.may the souls of the departed rest in peace. |
WIZGUY69: hmmmmmmmm........... it's wellI cant believe that ndi. Ofe can stoop so low,to deny their town ibadan, why lying about una sophistication and heritage. Please,we all know that these images are ibadan,we have seen them many times on nairaland and other sites, please try another trick.we igbos dont build our houses in such manner.houses are built in compounds with proper perimeter fencing. |
Kasynpaulsyn1997: Smh, what will i gain if this thread gets the attention of my fellow faceless forumites, huh?I guess i should be the one asking you such question. What do you gain by opening a spurious thread like this on Enugu with no pictorial evidence to back your ridiculous claims....? Meanwhile on a business note,@customized,how will i pay you for you to send me all those ibadan pics on your hard-disk.I seriously need to open a thread on Ibadan so that the whole world will see the ''SOPHISTICATION,CLASS AND GLAMOUR'' of our brothers and sisters from south west,so that people will begin to appreciate ibadan better with its natural heritage. |
ibedun: This self delusion by my Igbo Brothers. Even Igbo newspapers perpectuate that crazy myth. Who in his right sense goes to develop somebody else's land whilst leaving his own fallow? Please dear,in terms of infrastructural and human capital development,we igbos are second to none.even before the advent of the white men to our shores, there are documented history of how igbos leave their communities and go to distant lands to acquire skills in trade, commerce and crafts.we travel to learn and absorb the good things in other people's culture.when you talk of development,i dont think that there is any geo political zone that is better than southeast.even without government presence,we strive to develop ourselves.,and with the way things are going currently, you shall see for yourself in ten or fifteen years time. |

ATTENTION everybody, please ladies and gentlemen.,lets have a standing ovation for our story teller number one in literature section,MAZI OMENUKO as he grabs his pop corn.... Imagine, this Jambite have succeded in attracting the attention of high profile persons in nairaland. I guess seun may be on his way.,and something is telling me some mods are hovering among us in ghost mode. Eheee, mazi omenuko, abeg u fit give me some of your popcorn. |
How do you expect my igbo brothers to come back home while we are known to easily survive and adapt anywhere we go.i easily noticed the igbo name in the post...,there is no town in the world that you wont see an igbo man,if there is none, then the place is not habitable.I just conducted a miniature survey in awka and found out that in any kindred, there must be one or two people abroad that contributes to the family and will easily pave way for others to join him or her soon.i think the igbo itinerant spirit is part of igbo culture making us,the most exposed and learned group in nigeria. Most times in igbo socio-cultural settings, kindreds or hamlets measure their success and strength by the number of their sons that are living or trained abroad who are successful expatriates in the various field of life.In chinua Achebe's novel ''No longer at ease'',we saw how the people of umuofia sent Obiajulu Okonkwo abroad to study,so that they can compete with their neighbouring town mbaino... It is also worthy to note that it is expected that someone who has travelled either ''abroad or to the big cities'' to be better than those at home in terms of financial well being and exposure. This make igbos abroad to strive for success knowing the huge expectation at home.,at the same time, those in the villages and rural communities strive to be like the city dwellers or even out do them, hence there is this drive in igbos for success. In my own humble opinion, though this may have some negative implications but i think it has gone a long way for the massive developmental trends in igbo states and areas where ndi igbo dwell. Pls,i just wrote this not for tribal sentiments but for my fellow nairalands to understand some of the socio-cultural aspects of the igbo man. |
![]() hehehe,op dont buy am o! I heard the phone dey give free wireless ebola virus. U better run for your life! |
![]() how sure are we that they dont start exhibiting some mice characteristics or turn into a mouse the next day? |
Wow,what a great news. Now,I and my igbo brothers will attack Lagos on all front.,we will buy up all the land in lagos, from there we will proceed to other Yoruba states.,then when oga Gej finally puts an end to boko haram,we will move back to our investment in the north, and this time around buy up more land without looking back... Then,on the issue of land in igbo states, there is no need to worry cos yorubas are poor and broke and cant afford a piece of land in alaigbo whose prices ranges in millions of naira.so happy for this development.preparing my cheque books for real transaction. |
Such only happens in Yoruba republic. Ndi Yoruba are criminals. In other news making headline, yoruba men breaking records since time immemorial.here is one of their shitting records.
