Typical of Nigerians with selective amnesia; one of many reasons why we deserve bad and clueless leaders.

You hail AE after one match same way Finidi was rated yet was cursed by the same people.

Hotepking:
Eguavoen has sealed his legacy as one of the best managers to ever come from Nigeria, he has been in the game for long and has never cowered when called up to steady the ship. The man has been vilified so much because he's the quiet and modest type but his coaching records are actually very impressive based on winning ratio.

My ranking of Nigeria's best coaches will be:

Keshi
Eguavoen
Samson Siasia.

You might as well pass the info to NFF president to sack him then you higher your favourite and watch realisation set in.
hatakekakashi:
The only thing we have over them is defence and gk. Also, that falcons coach is mediocre. A serious team would have sacked him since.

I'm baffled at how people criticise the super falcons without consideration. In as much as they lost, they also tried.
This is Spain: would Zambia or Morroco have played them better??
Pidginwhisper:
if you indeed watch this match and you have the temerity to criticize these girls after this game. May thunder fire you and your generation both past amd present and the one to come.

If you watch this match and you feel another African team would’ve done better against this Spain, may your generation never amount to nothing, waste upon waste go be their own.

I’ve always criticized this team, but judging by what i saw at the last world cup and what am still seeing, these girls don’t deserve any form of bashing after losing by whiskers to World class teams. Yet some idiots are still criticizing them, what else do you want? Make dem die?

It's surprising to me that this is the first time i'm hearing this. Toni Payne was among if not the best performed player for the super falcons at the world cup.

You say this as If Toni is a poor player.
Did you watch her play at the last world cup??

The way some of you write off players makes me wonder how you watch football.

SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 9:57am On Jul 25, 2024
True, we've lost our attacking edge.
We just might rely on counter attack.

This is football though; the team might surprise us.

lovewins:
Nigeria's biggest challenge going into this competition is our attack. We've sadly lost our attacking edge the last 2 years or so. We've largely improved defensively but we are still struggling to score goals.

Are we likely to turn the corner at this Olympics competition? Time will tell.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 11:44am On Jul 18, 2024
Helen Ukaonu's goal during that u-20 world cup would forever top the chart of one of the best goals from the female team for me.
Deltamani:
Thunderous Short you say? If it’s the goal that led to the equalizer, then it Helen Ukaonu… na she get that Power shot from Distance, but she didn’t stay long in the game after moving to Sweden to play for Sunnana Sk she got married around 2014/15 and also had a daughter then, haven’t heard about her again till date.!
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 1:05pm On Jul 03, 2024
What does Marta have to Offer to Brazilians after been called up to the Olympic team?

What does Giroud, Ronaldo and Messi have to offerhuh

When you answer that then you get the answer you need else you and your likes might as well rest with saying things like this

M7even:
But let's be frank, how much does Oshoala have to offer us at this point of her career

I dedicate this to all 'sapalized' Nigerians.

May we not make the same intentional mistake again.

By the way, let me assume this doesn't take the place of minimum wage since it's restricted to only few people.

As in eh..
The way people write off players on this platform baffles me.

I see people clamoring for Musa to be included in the starting 11; same Musa that was bashed by the same people.

Emotions and bias getting the better of us in accessing players.

The use of 2 midfielders by the coach greatly affects players performance fielded in midfield. Iwobi struggled against CIV too.

Meliforme:
Aribo is nowhere near Iwobi whenever midfield shows is being discussed, Iwobi is ahead. We could have fared better if Iwobi started the game.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Jojodjo: 7:58pm On Jan 22, 2024
It's safe to say that the lacklustre performance of some players in midfield for the Super Eagles is as a result of the coach's formation.

Using a 2 man midfield completely handicaps players especially players like Aribo who are not even physical; even Iwobi struggled in midfield against CIV.

To an extent, he looks to lack support and motivation from the coaching crew: he was made to play as a right back in most of his games.

In as much as patriotism and dedication is key, playing him out of position in his first few games can affect his psyche and make him feel unappreciated/undervalued in the team.

Kog45:
Kevin Akpoguma hasn’t done much and I was surprised cuz I rated him highly before joining eagles.I don’t really see that zeal in him like he was forcing himself to play for us.

If I had my way, I would try to form a good central defensive partnership between Akpoguma and Bassey or Jordan

So you've all written off Akpoguma? ?
Well, it's no surprise since some of you wrote off Ndidi before his resurgence.
