Ndidi's reaction was normal; he's the captain and that aside most committed players react that way in a team.

Mikel reacted in a similar way to Onazi when the latter was culpable of letting a player score a goal through a corner kick; Onazi made no attempt to challenge for the ball.

I've forgotten the opponent though.

Super Eagles presently lack a leader off and one the pitch: a leader that'll talk players out of their lackadaisical attitude.

BascoVanVeli:
Thanks for following the channel, much love.

Uzoho was fantastic in the first leg against Ghana and he was looking good against Saudi and Mozambique until disaster struck.

Who was looking at Ndidi when he was making mistakes up and down last seasonhuh I wasn't a fan of his bombastic side eye even though I did see the comedy in it.

If anything what Uzoho did was a stroke of genius. Instead of focusing on his mistakes, we are talking about which of us the white man would take to Europe grin

The Botswanan team look their age unlike the Cameroonians who look far older.

Seems like Chatgpt doesn't get everything right: Constabulary is usually a civilian who is more like a volunteer been trained by the police but has no fixed wage nor salary; mostly stipends are been given to them.
Constabulary is not a group of constables.

A Constable on the other hand is a trained police personnel who rise through the ranks and has a fixed wage which is increased with respect to grade level.

If you play football, you won't use the word "hate" irrespective of Uzoho's or any player error on the pitch.

Tobichimezie:
I genuinely hate Uzoho, this clown doesn't even play active football in CYPRUS of all countries! are we so cursed with goal-keeping options that Uzoho is the best we could line up? this is so embarrassing
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Jojodjo: 7:00pm On Sep 16, 2023
You've made valid points.
Sadly some feel and have opined he should be axed from the team.

I hope he gets to play in the position that suits him best .
Meliforme:
Nobody wrote Aribo off.
He is not a midfielder.
He reads games very poorly, and can be completely lost in games, just running around and sweating.
The midfield is about control. You cannot control a game, if your reading of the game is poor.

I have found Aribo not knowing what to do with the ball in midfield on countless occasions, just clueless, He is the back passer in chief.

Aribo is a fine dribbler and has eyes for the final pass. Aribo displays his excellency whenever he is close to the 18 yard box, where he can either dribble a player or two to get a shooting chance, or make the final pass that can result to a goal scoring opportunity.

The disrespect meted out to Ndidi some months back is the same been given to Aribo now.
People are so quick to write off players.......

I lie the faith you've got in the Falcons; I believe we'll draw the last blood in this encounter.

Where's Deltamani? ?

I have just one question.

Where is Lauren James? Who knows where she is?

I thought they said nobody can defend her.

I will troll don't worry. Even if we lose (we won't), I will still troll cause you people made unnecessary noise and projected England running over us.

Something tells me Kanu would do something beautiful today although I'm not a big fan of hers
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 8:41pm On Aug 06, 2023
Football is no longer football as usual; thesee new rules are spoiling the joy of the game.
ThePresenceWtf:
Even if the ball didn't go over the line, the US GK would have been carded and the penalty re-taken because the Goal Keeper "attempted" a second save of the ball in that play. ( Penalty takers are allowed only a single touch of the ball during a shoot out, even if you mistakenly touch the ball and it leaves it's original position on the marked spot, it'll be counted as a taken penalty...No rebounds either.)...And as Such, Goalkeepers are also allowed only a "single touch attempt" at a save...

SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 3:28pm On Aug 02, 2023
Maybe her beauty and been a sister to Reece James is what's adding fire to the hype angry
lovewins:
It's why I stopped arguing the matter. Is it the same Lauren James that was rendered useless during the Chelsea Vs Barcelona 2 legged game? Her coach in Chelsea didn't even consider her good enough to start in both games.

People watched her for one game against an inept China team and they are making it look like she's the best thing since pounded yam.

No doubt she's a good player, bur we won't have sleepless night over her.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 1:06pm On Aug 02, 2023
I used to say this before I settled down to watch her games and some clips. Ayinde and Christy are upto the task.
mowah:
Sure, I’m not underrating her. She’s a beast but she struggles against fast opponents
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 1:03pm On Aug 02, 2023
Exactly what I was telling someone yesterday; Lauren James is good no doubt but neutralising her won't be an impossible task.

Ucheibe and Ayinde have been at their best so far and Monday's encounter won't be an exception.
Deltamani:
To be sincere Ucheibe and Ayinde Tackles at this World Cup have been awesome👏… They haven’t gotten it wrong in anyway apart from those soft calls from the referee.

I wonder all the hype about Lauren James, if you watch the Champions League game against Barcelona she couldn’t do anything.. Randy will definitely set up a way to neutralize her…

Again Ayinde and Ucheibe nor da shy away from such marking.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 12:55pm On Aug 02, 2023
You seem to underate Ayinde's ability to mark and tackle; she times her tackles well just so you know.
Her composure is second to none in the team once marking/ tackling is involved
mowah:
By the way, what’s going to happen to James. Who’s gonna mark her, I bet Ayinde could get a red card if she’s assigned to James grin and Ucheibe would be too needed around the pitch to man mark Laura James. I don’t know sha....
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 12:50pm On Aug 02, 2023
Deploying payne as a wingback would give us little or no creativity in the middle; the team won't have a spine.

Aside from Oparanoie's less pressing when compared to Onumonu, I would have loved to see Oparanozie start.

Again, if it's not too much a gamble, Echegini should start ahead of Franny/ Kanu because both have been below par.
Deltamani:
She holds the ball way too long too, If she jam body with Ucheibe or Ayinde on several occasions body go tell her.. We just need to be way quicker on the Flanks too as Lucy Bronze tends to overlap a lot. Millie Bright gets erratic too especially when under a lot of pressure.. Maybe a 3-4-3 can work well against them

Nnadozie

Ohale —— Demehin —— Plumptre

Alozie —- Ucheibe —- Ayinde —- Payne

Ajibade —- Onumonu —— Kanu/Ordega

I will love to see Oshoala and Kanu or Monday for Onumonu and Kanu/Ordega at 60 Minutes depending on who and who starts...

Onyi Echegini is also an excellent player from the Flank, especially the Left side which she played for FSU through out last season.. Randy need to see to that.

Oshoala should go? You don’t have rope you’ll use to drag her? Omo, people sef.

Ok, who’s her replacement? At least it’s arguable that the others you mentioned have their replacements at the ready, who’s Oshoala’s replacement?

SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 8:07pm On Jul 27, 2023
The conversation started before today's match; I was not making reference to today's performance.

Oga Ajibade was experiencing poor form in the last 5matvhes or so for the Falcons prior to today.

naijaseeker:
Bros did we watch the same match? She practically assisted the first 2 goals. Even at Morrocco, she contributed to a lot of our goals.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 5:42pm On Jul 27, 2023
We've seen players who've ran the length of the field to the extent of even taking the ball out of play without realising.
I didn't downplay PACE, he made it seem like a really really big requirements a player must possess ahead of other qualities.

An attack should have one or two pacy players but not necessarily all players.
daveP:
Forget this one

Pace is everything in this WWC. 85% of the goals since 1st game are dependent on one or two pacy players. It is the most important factor in attacking in women's game. An attacking duo/trio needs it all through 90mins. Especially as the best teams in this tournament all have pacy players that press hard and fast.

Forget.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 5:37pm On Jul 27, 2023
So i should not call a spade a spade?
I never said Ajibade was not a good footballer, I said she's not done well in recent times for the GWG which is but the fact but that does not mean she's a bad footballer.
Oga even if it's Mbappe that has had few bad games irrespective of his status, i'll still say the same.

Talking about a player's bad form is no disrespect.

On her form and Caicedo's, i'll say no more. The pitch would do the talking for both of them.
CoolJulian:
Bro please, stop! Don't disrespect Ajibade like that. Though I disagree with most of that guy's opinions, I would not want anyone to bring Ajibade so low. So you know, Ajibade is one of the VERY BEST players on the Super Falcons team, she's hardly ineffective for the Super Falcons - A player who also plays multiple roles for the team. If I may ask, did you watch the last AWCON? Who was our best player? How many games has Ajibade played where she was poor for the Super Falcons? You think any kind of player can stay on the Athletico Madrid team, commanding starting shirts?

On comparing her with Caicedo, in my opinion, whatever Caicedo can offer, Ajibade offers more. Compare their statistics and let me know. Ajibade's major weakness is decision making, which I know she'll improve upon cos she's still young. Finally, Ajibade can fit into any world class team and command decent game time.

Omo, na the best thing be that o.
He always justifies even things that are glaringly wrong.
BankyGee:
Just leave that one make he dey cap. I have left him. I no get strength.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 2:02pm On Jul 27, 2023
I guess it was Kanu's pace that scored the first goal.
Or was it Ohale's superb pace that birthed the second goal??

Pace without technicality is but of little importance.
codemaniacs:
I hope you can now see why PACE is very important cheesy cheesy grin cheesy grin

PACE won us this match.

Onumonu does not have the PACE that Oshoala has to score the 3rd goal..

PACE PACE PACE.. All our attackers must have PACE from now on...

let Onumonu play midfield
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 2:00pm On Jul 27, 2023
Ajibade was not decent in past matches, that's the fact. But she impressed this time and that's what we want to see.
Again, don't compare Ajibade to Caicedo.

codemaniacs:
What do you guys have to say about AJIBADE now grin grin grin grin grin grin
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 1:40pm On Jul 27, 2023
Oh, I get your point now.
I hope Ohale gets some rest probably in the second half if we're able to secure a clear victory against Ireland; not underratING them though.
PDPGuy:
For Ayinde, I’m just erring on the side of caution cos we don’t want to lose her for the knockout round.
As for Demehin, yes she was shaky in the first half, but gradually improved on her confidence in the second half
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 1:31pm On Jul 27, 2023
Has Ayinde been ruled ruled out or you just decided to drop her

Demehin rather sits it out for Imuran while Plumptre pairs with Ohale.

Oparanozie should certainly start ahead of Kanu while Oshaola probably comes from the bench.
PDPGuy:
For real!
My preferred lineup for Monday would be

—Imuran——Ohale—-Demehin—-Plumptre—-

————————Ucheibe——————-

—————Echegini—-Payne—————-

——Oshoala——-Kanu——Ajibade———-

Alozie needs a rest before she cops another yellow and is suspended for the round of 16😁
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Jojodjo: 1:24pm On Jul 27, 2023
No doubt about that, he's proven himself.

This performance and that encounter against America in 2010 u20 world cup with the likes of Ohale and Oparanozie sits top of my most loved female matches in the GWG; not forgetting the Morroco encounter too.
lovewins:
You guys don't realise the impact Randy has had on this team. This is the most defensively disciplined Super Falcons in history. Do you know what it means to concede 14 corners (this is minus free kicks o) and we didn't concede a goal? We conceded on the 15th or 16th corner and no thanks to the ref.

I'm amazed
