Medium to Long term, I would advise you create a separate account for the business income - rental and transport income.

On itemizing the other incomes, you don't need to explain all entries. I was suggesting explaining some details like the sources, amount and frequency e.g
(a) Rental income: From account 000xxx000 / N1,000,000 naira / Annually every April. For example 7th April.
(b) Transport: From account 000xxx000 / N20,000 - N30,000 naira / Every week. For example 1st, 7th, 14th and 30th February.
Thank you for responding to my post.
I’m paid a salary actually, I’m not a business owner, I work in Construction, and I also get other money from buses I put on higher purchase.
My salary and the money from my drivers come into my account, and honest I’m not sure I can keep a guideline to how much I spend a month or such.
So I wanted to know if I have to explain all my basic expenses for the month as well?
Like on 14/3/2024 Deposit for Bus:
I don’t know, I was just think I should put the bus document and tell them I receive such amount every month… what do you think?

If I was you, I wouldn't compare your case with your cousin's, as there are so many factors in play e.g the case officer interpretations of their bank statement, company they are employed, their type of job, ties to Nigeria etc.

Ideally, the Embassy prefers you separate your incomes into Personal bank account (for your employment) and Business bank account (rental and transportation income).

If you can't do this, explain and itemize all the incomes clearly e.g. listing the account numbers, income and frequency of payment either in a letter and/or in the visa application.

Sorry but I cant understand what you mean.
I mean I have other source of income apart from my work, they pay all the money into my personal account as well, would you prefer I itemize each incoming deposit and explain its source?

Wow.

Your cousin dey use juju
From what I’ve been reading here I thought it was impossible to get a visa with such low amount, he even sent me his visa sticker so I can him look at it and be sure lol. I guess it really depends on the individual handling it. You can even be denied with a NGN 20M statement. Doesn’t matter.

Hello everyone, I’ve been reading silently.
I want to apply for a visitors visa later this year, right now I have about NGN 8.1M in my bank, i get paid well. I also have other source of income, I have 3 buses that pay me weekly and every month the tenants in my late dad’s house also send me their rent.
So I want to know how do I make this understandable to the ECO that I make money from those buses and rent, if I need to explain it on my financial cover letters. I’ve been to few African countries. Please if someone can elucidate more thank you.

In January my cousin was given a Standard Visitors Visa.
I went to his house over the weekend and we were talking about it and he showed me the bank statement he used, I was shocked, his opening balance was N874,472 and the closing balance was about N5.2M.
He said he didn’t explain the transaction in it, but what I observed was that he really had a lot of transactions, there’s no ECO that would see that history and doubt if he doesn’t have access to that funds..he will be visiting for the Easter season. My cousin doesn’t know anything about travels, he doesn’t have any travel history, just his job, not married. But for me I think it was his rich financial life that made it.

Remember, if a company or family is sponsoring your trip it doesn’t matter.
If you are 18 or older, what matters most to them is you that is traveling, so to have a better chance, make sure your personal circumstance is rich.

Don’t assume because your company and family member has the resources then you just go as an empty individual, it only works for minor, get your acts together even if someone is sponsoring you…

Good evening house,
Please I was granted a visitor's visa for 6 months. During my application I wrote that I was going to stay for 10 days. Is it possible to stay for 3 weeks instead?
I’ll advice that your stick to your time frame.
If you have been to the UK before maybe you can, but if this is your first time then you will have a lot of explanation to do to while you stayed the remaining weeks, they issued a visa base on what you told them and your financials supported it.
You might be asked for a return ticket when you meet the Clearance Officer at the Airport..
So stay your 10 days if you are a first timer and leave their country, only on emergency are you expected to extend your stay and since you planning of it ahead then that means you could eventually not keep to the rules guiding your visa. Thread carefully.

Most jobs that you can do virtually is also a big No for them sometimes, like the Tech thing.
Cuz you can overstay your Visa and still be working Online. Most people that travel the world work online because you can’t have a call in job and be in London..

Maybe you can re paint that part. All the Best.

UK Immigration do not recognize “Micro Finance” bank statements, it will be considered as not added, it's not a local bank, your sister sponsoring you only carries water when you are a minor, if you are an adult then you have to show to them that you have the resources to and come back without the aid of your sister. Staying in UK for 21 days is quite expensive too.
If you are applying for a UK visit visa just have it in mind as the ECO is going through your documents, the things in his or her mind is
1. Will this applicant current condition warrant him to work in the UK?
2. With this applicant condition, will they return back to Nigeria?
3. What will bring this person back to Nigeria?

So if you use this questions to touch light your information then you would know your answers.

If you like have 100M in your Opay or Kuda, they won’t look at it twice. It’s in their laws to reject such.

I don’t think if you re-apply you would get any different reply to this refusal, if you check the letter and rule in which he refused your application, he doesn’t think you have the money to take care of that trip without sourcing from else where or working in the UK.
Remember, they want you to convince them otherwise, let’s assume he sees you as an intended worker, would your current situation warrant you to work in the UK, maybe Yes.
your monthly expenses take almost 97% of your monthly income as you wrote..
And maybe your bank statement did not give them a clear picture of your finances too. So I’m not sure if you apply again with this same financial profile would help.
Review your expenses and bank statement.
Going to the UK and Back in this period would take almost 2000GBP to say the least, and you make about 4000GBP yearly, how then could you spend about half of your finance on a 12 day trip? UK is extremely expensive to visit. Check am from an Immigration Officer eye. Just my candid opinion.
