I submitted my application during the week and I received this email some hours ago.

Thank you for your visa/entry clearance application which has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days and settlement applications within 60 working days (unless you have opted for a Priority Visa service).

We are unable to resolve your application within these customer service targets, due to operational restrictions. Please be assured that we will continue to progress your application to enable a decision to be made as soon as possible.

Please do not attend the application centre until you have been contacted by the VAC.

Kind regards
Croydon DMC

I’m trying to pay for my TLS contact appointment date and they are saying transaction unsuccessful.
I’ve used different dollar card and naira card.

Good evening, please does every applicant upload their documents themselves first before going to TLS to capture with some documents?
Or you either choose to upload it yourself from your house or chose the TLS center?

Thank you.

Please I have a landed document, survey and proposed building sketched. But they seem to be in a larger paper.
Will I carry all these documents to the TLs center?
I also have travel history from my expired passport? Should I scan the images and attach it as well?

Good morning, please I’m quite slow to understand stuff. So pardon me for asking again, I just want to get clarity.
I’ve been filling my UK visa form online and my situation is this. I have a “First Bank Savings Account” which my salary is sent to. I take home N650,000 monthly.
Every month I use about N200k, sometimes N240,000 and sometimes N280,000 as monthly expenses due to the inflation currently.
So first, how do I enter my monthly expenses? Do I use the average amount over the last 6 months as the monthly expense?
2. I keep the remaining funds after expenses in this same account, and over the years it has gotten to about N9.4M.
They asked if I have any savings on the form? Should I say Yes and put the N9.4M as savings or I should say “No savings” and continue. ? I feel the N9.4M is savings, or it has to been sent to a separate account for it to be considered as savings? Please kindly elucidate, Thank you all.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jolene474(f): 11:01pm On Nov 01, 2024
Thank you for your addition.
So you mean the 9M is not a saving rather unspent salary. “Residual funds”
So the question, do you have any savings, I’ll say No?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jolene474(f): 7:35pm On Nov 01, 2024
Thank you for your response, but I do not understand clearly.
I spend 200k from my First Bank monthly then leave the remaining 450k as savings there. It’s my salary account as well, right now it’s about 9M.
They asked if I have savings on the form.
I’m I going to enter the 9M as my savings and enter 650k as my monthly salary, is it correct? Kindly elucidate. Thank you.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jolene474(f): 4:52am On Nov 01, 2024
Good morning, please I really want to understand.
1. “Do you have another income or savings”?
I answered Yes, Savings.
I have about N9M saved from my salaries since January.
2. How much money do you have in savings(GBP)?

My question is, would it be my total savings in my account I’m to enter here. Please someone guide me.

Thank you.

URGENT.
My company’s bank has had issues since last week, the HR has not been able to send salaries, but yesterday she said she went to the bank to transfer it but the bank said it has to come two parts, that means transfer the total amount twice, 1M and another 1M.
I don’t really understand why the bank would do this.
Would this mess us my bank statement? They didn’t even add the Salary Narration, when the HR makes transfer she usually note it as salary, but this last one done in the bank was not written.
I’ll need advice please

Kamala and Biden has finished this country, groceries are so expensive, houses are expensive, no loans.
You are in Nigeria shouting Kamala, the same Obama that took blacks backward, Trump had the better economy, more jobs, Trump didn’t say you shouldn’t come to America, he only said come in legally.
Same Democrats under Obama that frustrated Jonathan government and gave us Buhari, y’all Nigerians are funny.
People only like Kamala cuz more evil things like Gay, surgery and open border, not for policies. Stop watching CNN on DSTV and you see the real Trump.

You can’t have a refusal just last year and not declare it. Not a good call at all. I don’t know if they can see database with South Africa, but if they do, it’s a really huge deception issue for them I believe, not even 5 or 10 years ago.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jolene474(f): 11:15am On Jun 30, 2024
Good evening y’all, please I read through few refusal notes here and I marked the term, they always want to know how you accumulated your opening balance, I’ve been saving on my account, a have particular amount I spend every month, how then do I prove this whole savings that have been there for years? Do I need to include my payslip for all the years I’ve been working? I save some reasonable amount every month after expenditures, do I need to add it to that tab where it asked if I have savings? Like for example, all the money I’ve saved in my account is the savings after expenses, when they ask if I have any savings, should I say my savings is 17M which is the balance of my account or I should just say N0?? It’s really confusing

Thank you very much.
Yes, I was asking because I felt they no longer look at your history for the 6 months, they also want to know how your previous income was gotten, yes, I will add those various documents.
Please I want to also ask, I do I best demonstrate reason that would return me back to Nigeria.
I have a job, a have few assets, but I just think all of these things are secondary, so from your experience, how do I best make these visa officers see my clear intentions of returning, thank you very much.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jolene474(f): 4:53pm On Jun 02, 2024
Please there is phrase that these Visa Officer use always
“They say they can’t get the origin of the funds in your account.”
Please my opening balance in my account is quite low about 7M, I’ve been saving there after expenses, please how do I now prove that this is my money since they want to know. Thank you.

Thank you very much Hunee.
Yes, my invitee is willing to send an invite letter.
Please kindly detail further, after I get all necessary documents from him and my bank letter.
Will it be required when filling the online form?
I mean how to I send it to them? Will I attach it online or I will use the vfs?

Hello everyone, it’s my first time here in SA thread.
I want to visit a friend in SA, lives in Pretoria.
His South African.
I don’t know but I read here how demanding Saa visas could be, I want to stay for about 10 days.
Please I wanted to ask if I need to submit my bank statements and letter of employment if I’m applying online. I have about N28M in saving, and I’m thinking of spending about 3M. I’ve been to 3 African countries.
Would you recommend I apply through the vfs or I use the Evisa platform. Thank you very much.

Even if you take 10 million monthly, ECO is going to go through your documents same way… so it’s always better to think ahead
Thank you, you are right. I’ve seen a lot here to confirm this. Thanks for your candid reply.
Please I don’t know if this would be too much, I have a work trip booked after a return from leave, I’ve the itinerary and company letter regarding the trip, do I need to add it to demonstrate a strong desire to return as they always want to see reasons to return.?? Kindly advise sir. @giselle

How much is your salary?
If you feel all is not well, then delay the trip and keep a clean financial bank account of strictly your salary and use that.
I don’t think the financial means is an issue for me, I think I could cover the trip without resulting to public funds for any reason sir, I take about about 600k every month…. and other little credit I get. Is it wrong for for account to receive other deposits or I should keep it strictly for salary and expenses so I don’t cause more scrutiny?

Thank you very much, yes I do have payslips, I kept them… Do you think 9M is sufficient or I should move the 6M in addition? But I’ll need to prove again haha.
I wish I didn’t have to do all these, just go and come back, it’s really tough trying to satisfy them.
Thank you, what are some advice would you maybe want to share in addition please @giselle @crackcrack
Please also except my salary, can other funds come into my account? I saw here they always say your deposited amount was more than your normal salary.

Since you have 9m in your salary account, I’m guessing you have paperwork (like pay slips) that corresponds to how that money was accumulated. If so, my advice would be to use the salary account alone in your application and completely leave out the savings account. Depending on how long you are planning to spend on your trip, you should be able to put together a reasonable budget that could comfortably come out of the 9 million in your account.

Adding the savings account would open you up to unnecessary scrutiny, and like you already said, you don’t have a paper trail as to how you got the money. Don’t cause unnecessary headache for yourself in the process of trying to show you have more than 9 million. In your case, I believe less is more.

The contract you did, surely there are proofs of the contract on paper?
You should provide those alongside adding a paragraph pf this in your cover letter and explain like you are talking to a 5 year old while referencing each document you will be submitting of the contract. If you have also done this kind of contracts in the past, you can choose to make mention of those with proofs as well.
Thanks for your reply…

I’ve been asking questions here and mostly get ignored, please you guys should help me scrutinize and assist me.
I’ve my salary account which has a sufficient balance of about 9M and I also have another account which is my savings, I have about 6M there and it has been there for many months now. I really do not know how you guys can best explain this to the Visa Officer, I know I have to explain how the funds got there. While I can explain all the money on my salary account, the savings I got was from December contract I did and I left it there..
How can I best explain to the Officer for them to understand clearly, if anyone has submitted a savings statement along side their application. Kindly advise y’all.
