EmperorVamo: Though I might say the poster u quoted , got it wrong and not to sound harsh or rude, but in your life never ever talk off or write off TECH as a proven way of leaving poverty right now .
Infact I blame all these people who peddle HTML, CSS AND JAVASCRIPT NONSENSE. "PROGRAMMING IS THE LEAST WAY RIGHT NOW OF MAKING IT IN TECH"
The Indians never have this mindset and it's why my colleagues keep bringing in mentees every fucking day ...
Meanwhile we Nigerians are quick to write it off or discourage newbies looking to jump into tech and yes you can get into it as a Get rich Quick scheme ,
Nigerians are the smartest people who would jump into something out of poverty and fuel it with "Poverty-as-a-Passion"
Im only correcting this your mentality incase you have younger ones or kids who might make it in the TECH ECOSYSTEM.
FORGET PROGRAMMING , HTML, JAVASCRIPT, CSS, FRONT END , UI/UX AND ALL THAT NOISE ..
Find me one person who is a CLOUDNATIVE KUBERNETES NEWBIE for the last 4 months and in that category you mentioned , and let's check something .
Truth is we follow the bandwagon , saturate the space and then blame the whole Tech Ecosystem .
If this guy up here follows the advice I placed , in 3 months he isn't only making at least $700 monthly upwards, but also collaborating , contributing and networking with Indians, Americans, and more in the tech space ..
You are talking of Nigerian companies ..go and ask how many real techie you think are applying to Nigerian companies ?
You sound in the past ...
Except for unicorns and cool startups like Flutter, paystack, piggyvest and so on , the best minds here are either working remote or leaving ...
Dey play
I know more than 50 young people who started tech (the right way) in the last 16 months , who are now making at least $1000 - $2,500 currently ....
You can write off the general Web development and programming jargon people throw around , but never ever write off TECH as an Ecosystem and the best way to leave the trenches Legally.
NEVER

gabbytabby: Petrol is not food and is an important commodity but not an essential commodity.
Is it possible to allow a country to go into bankruptcy on the strength of funding petrol. We do need to go back to basics and instead give support in form of equipment and tax incentives to agric businesses than for petrol. The cost of food is what needs to come down not petrol. U have a good point. But which one should come first. That is how buhari close bother without first making sure we have abundant food locally. All these shld be a process not what u will just wake up to. |
Politics › What Should Happen To Citizens That Can Not Afford PMS by Jollos(op): 4:17pm On Jun 03, 2023 |
Do this government think about her citizen that can not afford buying PMS at this exorbitant rate?
Lagos Ibadan express road inward and outward Lagos is now free since Tuesday. Which show many people can not afford this high price.
Subsidy Removal may be for our own good, but should the citizen die of hunger and plunge into abject poverty while hoping things will be better.
Or will government distribute startup capital for all entrepreneur that could not make it through this difficult time.
Those shouting subsidy is gone, hope they are not wicked and not considerate of the average citizen? |

Many people are mad in this country.
How can u be supporting this kind of wickedness. The only thing poor man enjoy from the government is been taken away without adequate immediate solution.
My neighbor drove to filling station yesterday to buy a thousand naira fuel inside her car, and noticed the fuel light was still on. It was her daughter inside the car with her that reminded her she only bought 2ltrs before she start complaining.
How can we survive this. Many biz run on gen.
I guess those supporting this either don't have a car or children living with their parents or those their parents have stored ill-gotten money for them |

RoadMozart: Before I teach anyone, I always threaten them with repercussion of any silly mistake. Most times it helps them to be mindful of their actions. It has also saved me from stress.
However, there's this old couple in my church. Their son abroad sent them a car fot easy transport. The old man said he isn't driving any longer because of his age. He's 79 already but his wife is much younger. She went to driving but till now I don't know why she dropped out. I attempted teaching her but on various occasions she has attempted murder and suicide. Whenever I'm driving, she'll feel like she's able to do it but when she gets behind the wheels she forgets that she is the one driving and not the car.
I later gave up due to her restlessness and forgetfulness. Her last son that just graduated came to learn as well but he bashed the car due to the same restlessness and forgetfulness. I just gave up I noticed they always forget where brake is. U will tell them to apply brake before u no it zoooom motor we fly. |

Just yesterday after teaching someone for a couple of days, the person beckon I should let him repack a well packed car, and boom I find my self shouting break break and ended up spoiling some of my plumbing pipe.

kingreign: What year pathfinder? You may have to adjust/realign your PRND switch and/or cable 2004 Immediately when I noticed it, I called my mech attention to it and he said maybe because some of the oil spilled when he was working on the engine. That he will have to top the gear oil and service the filter. He did dat and it actually it stopped for 2 weeks and resurface again yesterday. I also noticed that button I press to release the gear is soft on like before or maybe I felt that way. Pls could dat also affect the gear not to engage reverse. The mech said I should bring it tomorrow, that he will service some switch. Pls tell me what and what I can tell him to check too. I love my gear and my new engine it move like sport car, pls any help so that they don't spoil the gear for me. |

kingreign: I don’t know what to advise because I haven’t seen or assessed the block to know what’s happening sir. Hello Sir, I changed my Nissan Pathfinder engine last month 3.5L engine. the engine work fine because I travel with it the following day. But when I got to my destination on the 3rd day morning, my gear was not reversing until like 4 to 5 attempt and nothing is wrong with the drive (this happen mostly in the morning or when I park for long), it still select very well because I travel a lot. Have been driving it like dat since. I don't know what could be the cause but it started 3rd day after I mount new engine. Which should be the first time I used the reverse. Ur advice pls sir |
