- The Abia State government leveled hundreds of structures on Government College, Umuahia land, in what was its second phase of demolition within the same year. Peter Obi, perhaps bedridden, could not summon his battalion of “patriots” to confront the state.

I can speak to the bolded above:
People took advantage of their position to acquire land belonging to the school. The demolition was therefore the right course of action. Is this the case with the demolition going on at Lagos which seems to target a particular ethnic group. The damage this is doing to Nigeria is not quantifiable. But my solace is in the fact that these negative forces (fascists) are in minority, and they will not prevail.

It's there to reduce the twisting modes of the bridge. So basically, that red thing that you see up there(along with the steel cable) does mostly nothing to keep the bridge lifted up(those supports underneath are what does all the heavy lifting), but the trouble with bridges(especially under heavy use) is that they can sometimes enter into resonant modes, the most dangerous of which are twisting modes(where the bridge repeatedly twists about the parallel axis), so, by coupling the flat part of the bridge with the supports, through that tall red post and steel cables most of that twisting force is used to "press down" on the support, thereby reducing bridge twisting.

The construction demands high quality control to meet these objectives.

The endless massacres of igbos by the Nigerian security agencies must be investigated. This has gone on for way too long that igbos all over the world must find ways to say "enough is enough". The killings have become so routine and casual mainly because no one is punished. Essentially, this practice has been normalised. Many have been killed at the endless checkpoints that liter the east. Breadwinners eliminated out of ethnic ha-te for the flimsiest of reasons.

This started during the civil war and has now become the favourite pastime of different security groups dominated by men from the north and the South west. Like I always say, unless igbos sit down and fathom the most ruthless way to push back, these killings will never stop. Igbos must fi-ght to dominate and control not just their own spaces in this country, but their destinies too.

It is so sad. so so sad. What have we done to Nigeria.
We Igbo have human rights that must be respected.

Since 1999 till date, no election conducted in Nigeria as been tagged free and fair by Nigerians. Everyone of them ( obi, Tinubu and cheated in their domains) in 2023 election. So, don't expect free and fair election in 2027.
