PoliticsRe: Why Development Of South East Is Stall by Jomonix: 12:15pm On Jun 25, 2025
helinues:
Why it's hard for the Igbo's to relocate back home and start developing their region. Leave the politicians development aside, business wise.

My sincere observations for years.

South East is the smallest region in Nigeria. Fact

Land is more expensive in South East compared to other regions. Fact

60% of the land have been acquired by the Igbo's billionaires without having intentions of using it or to sell. They only want to add it to family glory.

20% of the land are family heritage which must be preserved..

Igbo's should look into that and see if there won't be changes in developing their region even if they are not relocating permanently
The whole of Nigeria is our theater.

I salute those people in the heart of Igbo land making it in millions and billions.

There the competition is very stiff.

What you know the next man knows also so it is a battle of wits.

Minimal impact of his royal highness; Oba, or emir does not exist, and all man can make it depending on how innovative you are with your value proposition
PoliticsRe: Another Angle To The June 12 Election Twist By Dr. Tosan Harriman by Jomonix: 2:17pm On Jun 23, 2025

When we say THR PANDORA CRIMINAL can not offer Nigeria any positives his tribesmen go begin fight us for saying the truth. Just imagine tge roll of Peter Obi in this narration.

Let is assume it is all a lie why can Peter Obi come out n twll Nigerians what his roles was during the June 12 elecrion or was Pwtwr Obi too young to vote or fight for democracy ?!

Even I that was only in secondary school back then join burn tire for Ikorodu express at Obanikoro n we know how the biggest fight on that axus happenwd in Fadayi for those alive intelligent n not senseless like obidient ipob claiming thwy fight for Nigeria or demoxracy today.

No gainsaying no single city in the East join the fight for democracy, not a single one.
Your tribes man is in charge and till this moment we are yet to see any benefit from his magic wand.

Thanks, Peter Obi for lending your voice to this story. We need more people to speak up because Nigeria is sinking.

Fake news that is of no value and should be ignored.

Very contradictory. It is claimed that IPOB is the one killing Igbos.
BusinessRe: Eroded Naira: ₦‎100 In 1960 Now Worth ₦‎1.1 Million In 2025 by Jomonix: 9:57am On Jun 16, 2025
SmartPolician:
Well, Nigeria used Nigerian pound in 1960 which was equivalent to one naira or one pound. Technically, it means Nigeria used the naira. It's just a difference in name but the value remains the same.
I agree with you completely. Thanks for your thoughts.
BusinessRe: Eroded Naira: ₦‎100 In 1960 Now Worth ₦‎1.1 Million In 2025 by Jomonix: 9:33am On Jun 16, 2025
Nigeria did not use Naira in 1960.

PoliticsRe: Peter Obi: A Masquerade That Dances Too Early In The Market Square by Jomonix: 4:01pm On Jun 13, 2025
olalekann:
The answer is because he lies shamelessly all the time.
"Now the wind has blown and exposed the naked shame of the hen—what was once hidden beneath fine feathers is now bare for all to see."
In that interview Obi seemed extremely exhausted;

which explains his rather awkward responses. He is human.

I know your will not cut him a slack. But it does not matter.

To me he still possesses the attitude that is needed for the job of presidency.
PoliticsRe: The Book About Igbos Founding Ile-Ife Is Fake by Jomonix: 1:37pm On Jun 13, 2025
Sharpsharp00123:
Omo there are different people in this planet earth ooo

The op is not even concerned about how they feed those Ibo kids with lies n mess their psyche

He's concerned about y d ministry of education addressed the issue.

Like seriously Incase the ibos don't know, they are setting their children up for problem if they keep lying to them n keep churning out lies.

It's like a father who lied to his children that he's d owner of a particular house but he was chased away from there by present occupants which is a pure lie.

The children will hold that statement in mind n one day when the father is dead, the children will want to claim the house their father lied to them about n they will b repelled.

They won't know their father told them a lie but will want to die for it but the whole community will have a different story.

With time the whole community will get tired of their false claim n finally segregate them or put them in their place.

They will want to fight back n they might lose their live in fighting over d lies their father told them.

Like seriously a wise father will not do that because he will b setting his children up for future problem
Igbo kids (younger generation) are more discrete, but they do understand everything that is going on.

flokii:
Anybody can publish any nonsense and call it textbook here in Nigeria.. the main goal of the petition was to alert Nigerians and FG about frivolous attempts by some individuals to bastardize Yoruba history.
Igbos never existed anywhere near Ile-ife, infact they never shared any boundary with Yorubaland, even up till today.. when you leave South West, next you'd touch is Mid-West (Edo and Delta) and North Central (Kwara, Kogi, etc.). Sourh East is on another part entirely and you must cross the river Niger before you can't get there.
"...before you can't get here...", LOL. I can feel your disdain. But don't worry we are all in it together.
PoliticsRe: Democracy Day: Dickson Slams Tinubu Over Silence On Rivers Emergency Rule by Jomonix: 11:09am On Jun 13, 2025
The speech breathed fresh air into the polity.

This is a time majority of politicians are scared of staying on the opposing side of the government.
PoliticsRe: Ken Saro-Wiwa And The Ogoni 8: Pardon For What Crime? by Jomonix: 7:27am On Jun 13, 2025
Presidential pardon to my understanding restores their innocence before the human law. Their true innocence will be determined by the laws of karma (nature) as much as it applies to every other human being.

zero8zero:
Why is Mr " I am not desperate to be president" not willing to be a running mate if truly he's not desperate?. dey deceive unaself.
Obi is not desperate. I will be disappointed if he seconds Atiku as VP candidate.

Besides Tinubu / Kashim Shetima Vs Atiku / Amaechi is like the difference between black and dark.

Obi should go it on his own terms with LP or another new party.

If this does not work he should forget all about the ambition.

Me I will not vote if he is not in the ballot. Let us keep struggling

Without batting an eyelid, I can point to those sophisticated people who have continually corrupted the civil service since civil war with their culture of myopic craftiness and pretentious professionalism

But then I would be called a tribalist.
You are very correct. Professionals, yes; I do not doubt but rogues all the same.

The younger generation don't think much of DSTv. They are the Netflix generation. For me though I am still doing DSTv

. This, coming from someone who already dwells in a deteriorated country is wild
The truth is bitter. SA better learn from the mismanagement in other African countries. They can still arrest the decline.

I just like the fact that Ironsi didn’t end well..

Nature served him thoroughly..
But we have paid dearly for the it.

We have not recovered yet. It is getting worse by the day.

Machiavelli says:

“men change their rulers willingly, hoping to better themselves, and this hope induces them to take up arms against him who rules, wherein they are deceived because they afterward find by experience they have gone from bad to worse.”
PoliticsRe: Amaechi, Atiku & El-Rufai: A Trio United By Desperation For Power By Felix Morka by Jomonix: 6:28am On Jun 03, 2025
Any opposition without Obi is a waste of time. His version of politics that promotes frugal management of resources is the way to go. Splitting up of the opposition between Obi on on one side and Atiku / Amechi / El Rufai on the other will simply deliver electoral victory to Tinubu. I for one will not vote if Obi is not in the ticket
