They are exercising their right as a bonafide citizens of the Great Nigeria.

They are not asking Imo state government to stop teaching Ibo in their schools.

They are not calling Imo state no mans land.

They are not installing Oni-Imo of Imo kingdom.
The "no mans land" thing is yabis, nothing serious.

I know this clear, but they only want to pick quarrel where none existed.

You can keep on consoling yourself with this kind of comment on nairaland. We all know the people who are heartbroken and bitter because a Yoruba man is the president of Nigeria.

Peter 0bi will never become the president of Nigeria
The thought of PO becoming president is scary; abi?

You might be shocked that he will be. Nigerians want a change from the current path.

If they have not been succeeding/winning in their own region, it would be delusional to be thinking they are winning anywhere .

Charity should be testament
There is no logic in your statement. People migrate to distant lands and find success.

Nigerians of all ethnic group migrated to USA, UK, etc and they are making it far more than they would in Nigeria.

Will Americans doubt their success because they were not as successful in Nigeria. Sometimes prejudice impedes our reasoning.

PoliticsRe: I’ll Do One Term If Given ADC Presidential Ticket – Amaechi by Jomonix: 6:33am On Jul 04, 2025
emkz:
Peter Obi was said to have submitted a proposal to do one term. Atiku is proposing one term. Rotimi Amaechi is now promising one term.

The only person guaranteed to do one additional term and no more is Tinubu.

What the coalition is not selling are practical solutions to current challenges. Can they tell us their contract with the people?

Among those in the coalition are politicians who lost out in the 2023 elections, those who were not returned to Buhari's government in 2019, those without electoral gravitas who only became relevant because of Buhari, those with EFCC cases, those who slapped people in shops, those who lost control of their own parties.

Let journalists ask the coalition partners if they'd support whoever wins the presidential ticket. Let us also wonder why ADC message is only at the national level. Won't they participate in state elections?
If only you can compare apple for apple your argument comes to nought.

EducationRe: Man Laments As Engineering Professors Fail To Fix Faulty Generator In His Dept by Jomonix: 2:39pm On Jul 02, 2025
Engineering education takes 5years for first degree, but it does not prepare one to work as a generator mechanic. But learning how to fix a generator is through apprenticeship or practical training which for an average individual can be proficient in a few months. It is stupid to judge a professor's knowledge in his ability to fix a generator. Even apprentices can only focus on a specific area. for instance, a diesel engine mechanic may not fix a petrol engine.

PoliticsRe: Why Development Of South East Is Stall by Jomonix: 12:15pm On Jun 25, 2025
helinues:
Why it's hard for the Igbo's to relocate back home and start developing their region. Leave the politicians development aside, business wise.

My sincere observations for years.

South East is the smallest region in Nigeria. Fact

Land is more expensive in South East compared to other regions. Fact

60% of the land have been acquired by the Igbo's billionaires without having intentions of using it or to sell. They only want to add it to family glory.

20% of the land are family heritage which must be preserved..

Igbo's should look into that and see if there won't be changes in developing their region even if they are not relocating permanently
The whole of Nigeria is our theater.

I salute those people in the heart of Igbo land making it in millions and billions.

There the competition is very stiff.

What you know the next man knows also so it is a battle of wits.

Minimal impact of his royal highness; Oba, or emir does not exist, and all man can make it depending on how innovative you are with your value proposition

SmartPolician:
Well, Nigeria used Nigerian pound in 1960 which was equivalent to one naira or one pound. Technically, it means Nigeria used the naira. It's just a difference in name but the value remains the same.
I agree with you completely. Thanks for your thoughts.
