Politics / The Olubadan Of Ibadan Reveals Who He Is Endorsing For The Presidential Election by jonathan12345: 12:16pm On Mar 20, 2015
According to the Nigerian Tribune, the Olubadan directed his subjects, sons and daughters of Ibadanland and other Yorubas to cast their votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, on March 28.

The traditional ruler gave the directive at the “Pan Yoruba Summit” convened by General Alani Akinrinade, held at Parliament Building, State Secretariat, Ibadan and attended by notable Yoruba leaders.

The monarch, who was represented by the Ekerin Olubadan of Ibadanlan, High Chief Eddy Oyewole, maintained that the current situation in Nigeria demanded a credible leader like General Buhari.

Oyewole, speaking on behalf of the Olubadan, said: “I have the authority of his Royal Majesty, Oba Odugade 1, to direct Ibadan sons and daughters, as well as implore our other Yoruba sons and daughters that, come March 28, all of us should vote for General Buhari.

“Buhari has done it before and we can attest to his sterling qualities. Our country deserves a credible and dependable leader like him, now,” he submitted.

The Olubadan’s endorsement of Buhari is contrary to the decisions of other Yoruba monarchs, the Alaafin of Oyo and the Ooni of Ife, who endorsed Jonathan.

Meanwhile the Awujale of Ijebu received nationwide acclaim when he revealed that he would not endorse any presidential candidate because royal fathers should not have to tell people who to vote for, rather people should be allowed to choose for themselves.

Politics / SEE Why Yoruba Leaders Siad Only A Bastard Will Vote Jonathan by jonathan12345: 11:19am On Mar 20, 2015
With the March 28 elections just around the corner (8 days left), partisans have continued to express confidence of victory for their candidates going into the election.

At a meeting convened by the illustrious Yoruba retired army general, Alani Akinrinade in Oyo State, Ibadan, yoruba leaders indicated that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari has their full backing.

Speaking with newsmen in the state, Akinrinde declared unanimously, “It is Buhari or nobody else”.

A major proponent of this declaration, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade who was represented by High Chief Eddy Oyewole said, “On 28 March, 2015, let us vote for Buhari”.

He condemned the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), President Goodluck Jonathan for wasting the meager resources of the country by lavishly bribing various individuals and groups to secure their supports.

Speaking tough, Senator Anthony Adefuye strongly stated, “Only a bastard Yoruba will vote for Jonathan while Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye said, ‘We will vote en masse for Buhari”.

Senator Ayo Fasanmi declared, “At this point, we Yorubas should know where we are going. PDP is distributing money to earn wrong votes. Come May 29, we will be happy when Buhari becomes the president of the nation.

“Why would Jonathan appoint ministers two months to the end of his term if not that they want to use all means to steal what is left in the coffer; that is if anything is left? By God’s grace, I, Senator Ayo Fasanmi will vote for Buhari. May 29, Buhari will be sworn in as our president.”

National Chairman, Afenifere Renewal Group, ARG, Honourable Olawale Oshun said that considering the fact that Yoruba people have been suffering marginalisation within the Nigerian state for the past 16 years, Yorubas should vote for leaders who have its interests at heart in order to bring an end to this unacceptable state of affairs.

Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi who decried the high level of maginalisation of Yoruba in the Jonathan led administration said, “We have been subject of brazen marginalization and deliberate attempt to whittle down our historical contributions to the development of Nigeria. It will interest you to note that in the wheel of power at the centre, there are only two Yoruba people. Indeed, out of the 50 most powerful men and women in the executive, legislative, judicial and even security components of power in Nigeria, there are only two Yoruba people. These are the Chief of Staff to the President, whose choice was almost an afterthought and the Accountant General of the Federation.”

Following suit, Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola joined others in condemning Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), for derailing from the principle of ‘omoluabi” that Yoruba is known for by collecting bribe from a desperate aspirant.

Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President Candidate of APC, in his short remarks, urged Nigerians to be patient at this trying moment assuring that things would soon change for the better when APC takes over government at the centre.

The yoruba leaders disgust for the OPC can be traced to the group’s recent protest on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Monday, demanding the sacking of the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, before the March 28 elections which they suggested was ochestrated by the presidency.

The president, Goodluck Jonathan has however denied the allegations saying him and his party, knew nothing about the protest.

Politics / GEJ Body Language Did Not Reveal That He Was Interested In The Election - Atiku by jonathan12345: 4:07pm On Mar 18, 2015
More than 72 hours after it was reported that Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president, had a closed-door meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan, the APC chieftain has revealed what he discussed with Mr President.

In an interview with Sahara Reporters, the one time governor of Adamawa state said that he had retired to bed when he was woken up and told that President Jonathan had come to see him.

According to Atiku, Mr President was already waiting in his living room when he was informed of his presence.

While disclosing what transpired during the meeting, Atiku opined that President Jonathan tried to prevail on him to rejoin the PDP which he rejected.

Atiku Reveals What He Discussed With President Jonatha

He said the president also discussed the ongoing war against Boko Haram, seeking his support for Nigerian troops.

Atiku said they also discussed the possibility of displaced Nigerians returning to the areas that have been recaptured from Boko Haram.

On whether President Jonathan was interested in allowing elections to hold on March 28, the former vice president hesitated before stating that he would not wish to speculate, but he said the president’s body language did not reveal that he was interested in the polls which are less than two weeks to hold.

Atiku Reveals What He Discussed With President Jonathan
President Jonathan speaks to Al-Jazeera reporter

The former vice president stated that he advised President Jonathan to ensure that the elections were free and fair and devoid of the bloodshed that trailed the 2011 general elections.

Atiku said he had always been opposed to an interim government adding that he did so when former military President Ibrahim Babangida set up an interim national government in 1993.

He said he was offered a position in the government through the late Gen. Shehu Yar’Adua, which he rejected. The position, he said was given to Lagos politician Dapo Sarumi.

This is after about 120 groups loyal to Atiku were reported to have decamped to the PDP.

According to reports, the decampees were received by Uche Secondius, deputy national chairman of PDP.

It was disclosed that a reception to welcome them to the camp of President Goodluck Jonathan was held for them at at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.

Rumours emerged last week that Atiku, who had previously dumped the PDP for the APC, was under pressure to return to the ruling party. He denied the rumour and reinstated his commitment to the opposition party.

Politics / JUST IN!!! Senate Approves $300m Bond For Jonathan by jonathan12345: 3:33pm On Mar 18, 2015
The Nigeria Senate approved the request of President Goodluck Jonathan for the increment of the Diaspora Bond from $100 million to $300 million on Tuesday.

The Chairman, Joint Committee on Local and Foreign Debts and Finance, Ehigie Uzamere, representing Edo South senatorial district said the increase in the bond was aimed at using proceeds from the bond to construct capital projects.

Some of the capital projects include the second Niger Bridge, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and the Abuja Medical City.

“The concept of raising funds through Diaspora bond has been employed by several countries over the years with tremendous success,” Mr. Uzamere said. “The committee believes the projects that the Federal Government has chosen to utilize the funds are critical infrastructures that will impact on the economy positively.”

Mr. Uzamere said the dwindling oil price and the need for economic diversification were part of the considerations that guided the committee’s recommendation for approval.

He added that the increment would enable Nigerians in Diaspora an opportunity to contribute to the development of the country.

According to him, if the bond was left at $100 million, interested Nigerians in Diaspora would be denied the opportunity to invest in the country.

“The increment of Diaspora bond is in line with public debt management strategy,” he said. “It will afford Nigerians in Diaspora the opportunity to invest in the development of the country, while earning good returns for their investment. The committee found that the $100 million Diaspora Bond passed in the Borrowing Plan of 2012 – 2014 was too small hence the decision to recommend the increment.”

Last year, President Jonathan wrote to the Senate requesting for an increase in the amount to be raised through the diaspora bond from the international capital markets.

Politics / How Goodluck Jonathan Turned To Badluck Joatahan For Nigerians. by jonathan12345: 2:47pm On Mar 16, 2015
President Goodluck Jonathan Photo Credit:Reuters Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is an unmitigated "badluck" infection for Nigeria: Vote him out on March 28, 2015

His Name is Goodluck Jonathan but his presidency has been an unmitigated badluck infection for Nigeria - Law 10 of the 48 Laws of Power: Infection: Avoid the Unhappy and Unlucky

According to Law 10 of the 48 laws of Power:

"The infector possesses an inward instability that radiates outward drawing disaster to all that they touch. How to Recognize an Infector:

1. They draw misfortune upon themselves.
2. They have a turbulent past.
3. They have a long line of broken relationships.
4. They have an unstable career.
5. They have a forceful character that sweeps you up and makes you lose reason.
6. They have a desire to destroy and unsettle and is chronically dissatisfied.
7. Look at the effect that they have on the world around them."

Although his name is Goodluck but as Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka said "everything that GEJ touches turns to badluck."

When he was Bayelsa State Governor his badluck enveloped the Bayelsa state government in a cloud of corruption that cost the Governor of the state his job and led to GEJ taking over as Bayelsa State Governor. When he was the Vice President to President Umaru Musa Yar Ardua his unlucky aura led to the death of his boss and he became President.

Before he commenced the privatization exercise of PHCN most parts of Nigeria used to enjoy 12 hours of power supply. After his badluck enveloped PHCN after the privatization exercise PHCN can now barely supply 30 minutes of electricity per week. Now Power Generators have become the only source of power supply in Nigeria.

When GEJ's unlucky aura hit the education sector strikes by lecturers and non-academic staff became the order of the day. When GEJ's unlucky aura hit our petroleum sector crude oil prices plummeted. A multi-billion dollar Petrol and kerosene subsidy scam became a permanent feature of the oil sector. When GEJ's badluck infection hit our daily crude oil sales, Nigeria began to lose 500,000 barrels per day to oil theft perpetrated by his greedy wife, Dame Patience and their ex-militant mentors who he awarded multi-million dollar contracts for the supply of war ships, military hardware for the military and pipeline protection. These were the same militants that stole around 700,000 barrels per day of Nigerian crude oil during the MEND insurgency.

This translates to a loss of over N19 trillion over a five year period to Nigeria. GEJ's badluck infection also led to the loss of over $20b that is yet to be accounted for by the GEJ administration which led to the sack of whistle blower and CBN Governor at the time Sanusi Lamido Sanusi who is now the Emir of Kano.

When GEJ's badluck wrecked havoc on Nigeria's Excess Crude or Rainy Day Account and our Foreign reserves it took the former from a whooping $36 billion to just $1 billion and took the latter from over $60 billion to just $32b. In the last 30 days alone the foreign reserves were reduced by $2 billion.

When GEJ's unlucky infection hit the job market the number of unemployed graduates under his administration quadrupled, with less than 10% of graduates of higher institutions getting hired 4 years after graduation.

When GEJ's unlucky infection hit the Nigerian stock market it recorded unprecedented losses the kind that Nigeria has never seen before. This has led to huge divestment by foreign investors in Nigeria's stock market.

Because GEJ's badluck hit the sovereign credit rating of Nigeria, Nigeria has been notified of an impending reduction of her sovereign credit rating to junk credit rating. A combination factors are responsible for this, including rising internal and external debt burden of Nigeria, failure of the United States to buy Nigerian crude since mid-2014, a non-diversified economy, plummeting value of the naira, political risks occasioned by uncertainty about the outcome of the election which was worsened by GEJ's postponement of the election via the instrumentality of the service chiefs who were GEJ's alter ego in a move that one can call a civilian coup d'etat against the will of the Nigerian people.

When GEJ's badluck descended on and infected Nigeria's national infrastructure its ranking plummeted and Nigeria became affixed to the bottom of all known development ranking league tables including those put together by the United States' State Department, Mo Ibrahim Foundation, the United Nations, the African Union and various globally recognized research institutes and foundations.

GEJ's PR merchants have fabricated statistics indicating that he GEJ's administration has rehabilitated 25,000 kilometers of Nigerian roads when in reality they have not rehabilitated up to 1,000 kilometers of Federal Roads. GEJ's Special Adviser on media was so badly in need of projects to claim for his boss that he had to steal pictures of projects or Federal roads completed by state governments with state government monies that the Federal government has refused to refund. A case in point is one involving a picture of the Northwest University temporary site multi-storey building which GEJ's Special Adviser passed off on Twitter and Facebook as a University built by the GEJ administration when in fact it was built by the APC Government in Kano state led and powered by Mr. Capital Projects, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso who has turned Kano state into a mini-Dubai in just 4 years.

When GEJ's unlucky aura hit the foreign exchange market the naira plummeted and is now trading at N215 to $1. The pounds sterling is trading at N315 to 1 British pound.

When GEJ's badluck aura hit the health sector, regular strikes by medical doctors and nurses became a normal occurrence.

When GEJ's badluck infection his the car dealership business the cost of buying imported new and used cars shot up to between 50 and 70% of the purchase value of the cars thereby putting the ability to own a car beyond the reach of many Nigerians who could afford to buy them in the past. Those people are now confined to a transport sector that is comatose and which GEJ lied that he would resuscitate with thousands of buses for an elaborate mass transit program which is one of the reasons he set up SURE-P. The buses GEJ promised are no where to be found.

When GEJ's unlucky aura hit the aviation sector air crashes started occurring again and unbridled corruption took over the whole sector. The aviation sector in Nigeria is ranked as one of the worst in the world despite the aviation ministry budgeting over $1b for the sector. Almost all the monies were stolen and substandard airport rehabilitation projects were carried out with most of the structures constructed falling apart within weeks of their construction. A case in point are the rest rooms at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos as well as the roads leading to the airport which has become a source of shame to Nigeria's national pride. GEJ's badluck has brought shame on Nigeria.

When GEJ became the National Leader of the PDP his unlucky aura overwhelmed the PDP and the once formidable political party began to fall apart with many of its governors and ex-Presidents dumping the party for other parties and other tasks.

When GEJ's unlucky aura hit Nigeria's war on corruption it died a natural death. The EFCC and ICPC have become a laughing stock among Nigerians who now see it as an appendage of GEJ's presidency for the sole purpose of relentlessly hounding the political opponents of GEJ to submission. It is under GEJ's badluck aura that drug barons and cross border criminals wanted for their crimes abroad are regional campaign mobilizers for his reelection campaign.

When GEJ's badluck hit the Pension Funds in Nigeria as well as the UBEC Funds it left in its trail a massive corruption stench stinking to high heavens and running into billions of naira. When the culprits are taken to court the badluck aura of corruption perpetrated by GEJ arranges a slap on the wrist judgment for them where the judge imposes a fine of N250,000 on them and tells them to go and sin no more. GEJ's badluck aura also makes him pardon criminals convicted of stealing government funds and making them front line candidates for top elective posts.

A case in point is that of the former governor of Bayelsa State who was convicted of stealing government funds but was pardoned by GEJ and is now running for a Senate seat. In his campaign posters he wrote: "tested and trusted." Of course all discerning minds know what he means. He means that he has been tested and trusted by the corrupt cabal in Nigeria headed by the champion of the badluck aura, GEJ.

When GEJ's unlucky infection swept through the House of Representatives, the PDP lost its majority to the APC.

When GEJ's bad luck aura hit the security sector unprecedented national insecurity, the kind that this nation has never witnessed took over the country's Northeast geopolitical zone.

When GEJ's unlucky infection hit the armed forces the once feared and respected Nigerian armed forced became a shadow of itself to the extent that 14 Local Government areas and 5% of the territory of Nigeria has been lost to a rag tag army of extremists. Nigeria that once rescued Liberia and Sierra Leone from civil wars that appeared intractable and is known to be a leader in global peace keeping missions now relies on poor African countries like Chad and Niger Republic to help safeguard her territorial integrity.

GEJ's badluck infection has reduced the Nigerian armed forces to an appendage of the PDP and an enforcer of rigging plans as witnessed in the Ekiti audio tapes in which one Brigadier General Momoh was recorded secretly by one of his subordinates and in which he indicted himself as being complicit in the rigging of the Ekiti Governorship election along with GEJ's dream team of election riggers including Adesiyan, Minister of Police Affairs, Obanikoro, Minister of Defense, Senator Omisore and Ayodele Fayose, returnee Ekiti State Governor.

GEJ's badluck aura enveloped the armed forces to the extent that he manipulated them to force INEC to shift the date of the Presidential election originally scheduled to hold on February 14, 2015.

Because of the GEJ's badluck infection, the army broke from its rich tradition of respect for its retired Generals who fought to keep Nigeria one by issuing a press statement calling one of the most respected and celebrated Nigerian retired Generals, Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo an embarrassment to the armed forces.
GEJ's badluck infection also hit the Nigerian police force taking it to the deepest abbys of indignity and shame when it invaded the hallowed premises of the House of Representatives late last year because it wanted to help GEJ execute a script that would have led to the impeachment of the Speaker of the House of Representative Aminu Tambuwal.

GEJ's badluck also infected the way politics is played in Nigeria by introducing religious and tribal bigotry to a level or degree this nation has never witnessed before.

GEJ's unluck aura hit the umbrella bodies of Christians, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and tore these umbrella bodies apart to the extent that these once highly respected bodies have become divided from within and without. Most Christians no longer see these Christian bodies as representing them.

There are so many other sectors that GEJ's badluck or unlucky aura has destroyed but all the readers of this opinion piece will be able to identify the other sectors not covered in this piece if they look back at the failed presidency of GEJ critically and objectively.

GEJ has all the features of a badluck infector:

1. GEJ draws misfortune upon himself.

2. GEJ has a turbulent past.

3. GEJ has a long line of broken relationships exemplified by his broken relationship with those who tell him the truth like General Olusegun Obasanjo and a long list of ex-stalwarts of the PDP.

4. GEJ has an unstable career.

5. GEJ has a forceful character backed by filthy lucre that sweeps the greedy and pauperized off their feet and makes them lose reasoning .

6. GEJ has a desire to destroy and unsettle and is chronically dissatisfied.

7. GEJ has had a cataclysmic effect on the world around him."

As Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka recommended in his watch night service of 31st December 2014, Nigerians should avoid the unlucky Goodluck Jonathan so that the infection he has infected Nigeria with does not increase in geometric proportions. BUHARI/OSINBAJO is the antidote to GEJ's badluck infection of Nigeria. On March 28th, 2015 vote out badluck and the unlucky aura of GEJ so that a new course of prosperity, law, order and national pride can be charted for Nigeria.

Let us use our votes to reset Nigeria!

Politics / How Jonathan Offered Us Dollars - Arewa Community by jonathan12345: 2:08pm On Mar 16, 2015
Hundreds of Arewa leaders have revealed how President Goodluck Jonathan offered them a huge amount of money in foreign currency two weeks ago.

Punch reports that the Arewa leaders who received Kano State Governor, Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, in Lagos yesterday, said they rejected hundreds of thousands of dollars which was offered to them by President Jonathan.

The leaders, who were drawn from the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas of the state, distanced themselves from the endorsement given to Jonathan by a group. Speaking during a meeting at the Ikoyi home of a former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Tinubu, the Chairman, Arewa Community in Lagos, Alhaji Sani Kabiru, said those that endorsed Jonathan were impostors.

Explaining how some people who really are emirs but bought turbans at Agege and further went ahead to visit Jonathan at the State House, Marina, deceiving the President, Alhaji Sani Kabiru said, “When President Jonathan came to Lagos with dollars, some of us here quickly went back and gathered ourselves and started calling our own not to go to visit Jonathan. I also commend some leaders here for leading an offensive and convinced people not to go there.

“Most of the Arewa leaders and ‘serikis’ did not even go there to collect the dollars. At that event, card-carrying members of the Peoples Democratic Party bought turbans at the Central Market around Moshalashi Bus Stop, Agege. The person that sold the turbans told me that they dressed up as emirs and they were on their way to Jonathan’s place.

“So, most of them were fake. They went to collect dollars but cannot tell anyone because they are in hiding. But we did not stop at that; those that we knew that went, we called them to order and asked them why they went but they said they only collected dollars but they would not vote Jonathan.”

Kabiru said virtually all Arewa members had collected their Permanent Voter Cards. He promised to ensure one million votes for the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.); and the state’s governorship candidate, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode. While addressing newsmen, Kwankwaso lambasted Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, for what he termed, “inciting comments.”

He made it known that Fayose’s comments against the North were a reflection of Jonathan’s temperament. He, however, urged the people to express their choice at the polls on March 28. He said, “When I did my National Youth Service Corps in Ogun State, I imbibed the belief that this part of the country has people that are positively cultured ranging from Obafemi Awolowo, Ernest Shonekan, MKO Abiola, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Olusegun Obasanjo and others.

Recall that just recently, the Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, warned President Goodluck Jonathan and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over their comments on the forthcoming elections.

Politics / We Never Endorsed Jonathan —yoruba Elders Council by jonathan12345: 12:43pm On Mar 16, 2015
IBADAN—The Yoruba Council of Elders has said that the appearance of its National President, Brig- Gen. Adeyinka Adebayo (rtd), at a post-national conference summit in Ibadan, Oyo State, should not be mistaken for an endorsement of the candidacy of President Goodluck Jonathan in the March 28 election.

YCE, also known as Igbimo Agba Yoruba, said this at the end of its National Executive Council meeting in Ibadan.

The summit, which was convened by the Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, was attended by some Yoruba leaders where they endorsed the candidacy of President Jonathan.

The elders, however, explained, through the Assistant National Secretary of YCE, Bayo Olateju, that their leader attended the meeting because the theme was centred on Yoruba and based on that, he had to be there.

The YCE maintained that it had not shifted from its initial position that it would not enmesh itself in the murky waters of politics by endorsing any of the candidates.

On the rumoured intention of the Federal Government to further postpone the election, YCE said the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has reached a deadend’ constitutionally with the dates fixed for the rescheduled 2015 general elections and any further postponement could lead to constitutional crisis.

According to the apex Yoruba socio-cultural organisation: The Electoral Law prescribes the conduct of elections 60 days before the expiration of any tenure, there cannot be further shift of the election without causing constitutional crisis and with the assurances by President Jonathan that the handover date of May 29 was sacrosanct, there is nothing to fear.

“As the fathers and mothers of all in Yorubaland, we are above partisan politics and it is our advice to our sons and daughters to vote for any candidate of their choice.”

Though, the elders commended INEC for the distribution of the Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, they warned politicians against causing violence.

Politics / 10 Things Fayose Said At Pdp's Forum That Should Be Noted by jonathan12345: 4:08pm On Mar 11, 2015
One man that is known for his bluntness and controversies ahead of the 2015 Elections has to be Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state.

The PDP governor who ceaseless tongue-lash at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari and his indifferent act, has continued to catch the attention of the public.

He yet again opined his views why the PDP candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan is a better man for Nigeria than a man who he finally acknowledge is old enough to be his father (Gen. Buhari).

Speaking at the PDP Governors’ forum held on Tuesday, March 10, in Lagos, Fayose had a lot of unflattering things to say about the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigeria media.

Below are excerpts from Fayose’s speech at the forum:

“If General Buhari isn’t bold enough to come out and debate or speak in public, that means he will end up as a shield for some people to corner the Nigeria economy”.

“I am not after General Buhari, he is my father. Anybody who is the age of your mother is your father”.

“A lot of people over 70 are now wearing pampers, Nigerians should not be deceived they must vote for people that have the capacity and mental ability to do this job”.

“Nigerians I’m saying to you, General Buhari is too old. If APC had picked Kwankwaso (our brother) , then we know they picked someone that has life, you cannot see a president in General Buhari because he will be over stressed except that person is taking something to boost himself, like the President of Zimbabwe”.

“Last week, I saw Lagosians running or jogging all to proof a point to cover certain tracks and with our own Jonathan jogging too, you can see a man who wants to be president and you can see the life in him. But let them bring our father (Buhari) to do that and see if this mission is not to corner Nigeria’s wealth and tax them to bleeding”.

“I was driving through Lagos and I saw pictures of General Buhari, that isn’t General Buhari because you can’t tell me that those pictures reflect the present man we see. Those pictures reflect Buhari 20 years ago, that’s deception, photoshopping and clean-up like when the ladies apply foundation on their faces”.

“General Buhari is not a replacement for President Goodluck Jonathan”.

“Jonathan has spent four years, concluding his remaining four years will do no harm to that expressway of 8 years rotational presidency”.

“Most of our brothers in the media are politicians, the titles are owned by politicians & they don’t protect interest of public”

“I enjoy when the press write about me because it makes me very popular and prepares me for God’s blessings that is going to come my way”.

Politics / Patience's Hate Speeches: Fashola Advises Jonathan by jonathan12345: 3:05pm On Mar 11, 2015
The governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fashola has asked President Goodluck Jonathan to stop his wife, Patience Jonathan from making inciting statements capable of causing violence across the country.

Fashola stated this on Tuesday evening, while receiving the Chairman, National Human Rights Commission, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu at the State House, Marina, Lagos.

The governor advised Jonathan to publicly dissociate himself from his wife’s hate speeches and that made by his supporters and aides, saying this will show he is not in support of them.

In recent times, Patience has been making hate speeches directed at the opposition, All Progressives Congress (APC). She had described Muhammadu Buhari as “brain dead” and also asked her supporters to stone anyone who mentions change to them.

“He must publicly dissociate himself from his wife’s inciting comments, he must. He must disown them and his leadership will be defined by whether he does it himself or ask his aides to go and say it. LIVE: Ladies & gentlemen, Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro is screened & asked to take a bow as he returns as a Minister of Nigeria again. (PDPMediaRoom24/7 @pdpmediaroom247)

It would be recalled that being made a minister is one of the agreements the former High Commissioner to Ghana touched with President Goodluck Jonathan to back the candidacy of Mr. Jimi Agbaje who overcomes him in a highly contested and controversial PDP gubernatorial primaries.

Mr. Obanikoro was named recently in a leaked tape as a principal actor in the state’s governorship election rigging in 2014, sparking national outrage.

The Nigerian government has denied to investigate the accusations.

Politics / Soyinka Accuses Presidency, Lambasts Jonathan And Obasanjo by jonathan12345: 12:55pm On Mar 11, 2015
Nobel laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka has castigated Nigerian politicians for the use of what he described as “crudity and vulgar abuse of language” in their election campaigns.

Soyinka said never before had Nigerians been subjected to such use of vulgar abuse of language as in this present political exercise, accusing the presidency of being the major culprit, Vanguard reports.

According to the professor, who spoke on Tuesday, March 10, in Lagos at the public presentation of a book titled Modern and Tradition Elite in the Politics of Lagos, written by Ambassador Patrick Dele Cole, the current set of politicians in Nigeria have dragged the country to a “hitherto imaginable low in the art of public persuasion which we have a right to imagine forms the foundation of political life.”

His said: “All of us here have passed through the electoral process furnace before now and I suspect we would mostly agree that never before have we been subjected to this level of sheer venom, crudity of and vulgar abuse of language in such prodigal quantities as in this current political exercise.

“The very gift of communication, considered the distinguishing mark of cultured humanity even in polemical situations, has been debased, affecting even thought processes, I often suspect.”

Soyinka pointed out that top politicians and even their spouses have thrown caution to the wind and are making reckless utterances, using a recent statement attributed to the First Lady, Patience Jonathan, as an example.

“Speaking as objectively as is possible in such circumstances, I would say that, among the various camps, the most reckless and indecorous has sadly proved the incumbency camp, where restraint has been thrown to the wind with such abandon that even highly privileged spouses have publicly urged supporters to stone any voices raised in opposition to their cause,” he said.

Recall that Patience had during a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rally in Lokoja, Kogi state, asked her supporters to stone anyone that mentions change to them.

Taking a swipe at former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s book, My Watch, he described it as “three tonnes of doctored and self-serving narratives”.

He urged Dr Dele Cole, who was an adviser to the former president, to give Obasanjo a tutorial on how to write history and also investigate allegations that the presidency was training some 1000 snipers and write about them.

About a month ago, Soyinka criticized President Goodluck Jonathan describing him as ‘problematic’ candidate.

Politics / Don't Ask To Stone Us, Just Ask The Soldiers To Kill - Almajiri Writes Patience. by jonathan12345: 12:47pm On Mar 11, 2015
Almajiri, the person who leaves his home in search of knowledge in Islamic religion, wrote a letter to the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan.

The letter was published on Sahara Reporters.

He said that he lacks the Patience to wait for Good Luck.

“I am almajiri because I am from the North and one of the products of the Polygamous family, if you “hate” me, you don’t have to wait to a moment that your husband needs my vote before you come with your pretense,” the man added.

“I knew long ago that the killings in my region were allowed to be because, you don’t like my face. So, hold it, you don’t have to tell anyone to “stone” me because of my political party affiliation, you can use the soldiers to continue to kill me when they come to polling units, on the basis that “Nigeria’s economy is in your pocket”.

“You are intoxicated not from the amount of beer your husband drinks, but for the power that you are enjoying.

Painfully, for all your utterances recently, you have killed your husband politically,” almajiri said.

It should be noted that Mrs. Jonathan has recently called on her supporters to stone any person that promises change.

As the opposition party’s slogan for March 28 election is ‘change’, some residents alleged that Patience Jonathan had called on Nigerians to stone the opposition politicians.

First lady is to be known of using inciting statements.
Ahead of the general elections Mrs. Jonathan has dropped several comments that have been tagged as seriously controversial.

Politics / Why Jonathan Will Get A Red Card In Yoruba Land And Fall by jonathan12345: 3:00pm On Mar 08, 2015
The Osun chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has said that it will assess President Goodluck Jonathan not by his promises to them, but by their experience with him in the last six years.
What Jonathan Has Done To The Yorubaland

“That experience is the most painfully degrading that the Yoruba nation has ever had in the last half century. President Jonathan cannot, therefore, expect to be rewarded for this crime against the Yoruba people”.

The party said this in a statement released by the party’s Directorate of Publicity, Research and Strategy at the weekend.

“The sheer neglect of the Yoruba people by Jonathan in the scheme of things was a display of sordid ingratitude and contempt for a people who did the most to help him become President “, the party said.

“If in the last six years alone, Goodluck Jonathan has down-graded the Yoruba from the first three positions to below the 15th in Nigeria, either in political or civil service structure, and, in particular, in Nigeria’s ratings of expertise and valued contributions to the country’s development, then he does not deserve, and will not get the Yoruba vote this time around.

“All his promises to the Yoruba people are empty and deceitful. Our people not only know it, they feel it and they will act appropriately on March 28, 2015”.

The party’s spokesman in Osun, Barr. Kunle Oyatomi, who signed the statement, described, as “sadistic” , the treatment meted to the Yoruba people by Jonathan’s administration, who, having downgraded them to below the 15th position in Nigeria, “also went ahead to starve virtually all Yoruba states controlled by the APC of their legitimate and constitutional funding in order to humiliate the people and stifle development in their area”.

Oyatomi continued: “For such a President to now crawl about in Yorubaland, seeking their votes to continue in office is nothing short of insulting the intelligence of the Yoruba people. That is aggravated insolence.

“Jonathan will pay a price equal in magnitude to his deliberate crime against the Yoruba nation; for nobody pokes a dirty finger in the eyes of the Yoruba people and gets away with it. Jonathan will get the red card in Yorubaland, and he will fall.

“The party said that since Jonathan became comfortable in his position as President – largely through the efforts of Yoruba intellectuals and political leadership – the President has been so negatively disposed to Yoruba that his Federal Government did practically nothing of significance to encourage the sympathy of the Yoruba nation.

“It is therefore a wasted effort for the President to be frantically seeking the support of Yoruba traditional leaders who already know how bitter their people are against Jonathan,’ the APC said, adding that ‘Yoruba people can see, feel and taste the deceit in President Jonathan’s promises. They cannot trust him after the humiliating treatment of the last six years of Jonathan’s Presidency”.

It will be recalled that President Goodluck Jonathan was in company of notable chieftains of the PDP, the National Chairman of the party, Adamu Muazu, the Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko, former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro and other PDP chieftains visited the palace of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade,on Saturday March 7.

Politics / Buhari’ll Turn Nigeria’s Misfortunes Around – Amaechi by jonathan12345: 1:51pm On Mar 04, 2015
With few weeks to the presidential election, Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State has again assured that the All Progressives Congress, APC, under Gen. Muhammadu Buhari will turn the country’s misfortunes around if elected. •Amaechi addressing supporters during the rally He noted that the current challenges plaguing the country would adequately be addressed with the needed political will to positively turn around the country’s wheel of development. Amaechi spoke in Degema, Obonoma and Abonnema communities in Degema and Akuku-Toru Local Government Areas of the state during APC’s ward to ward campaign. He criticised President Goodluck Jonathan for not taking decisive action on the recent tragic shooting that disrupted the APC rally in Okirika, Rivers State. He said: “This election is not about brother, it is about your stomach. If dollar likes, it can get to N300 or N400 to a dollar, the President can afford it but you can’t afford it. Now they tried everything possible to stop the dollar from losing control. They couldn’t because the economy will determine whether the dollar will lose control or not and the economy has done that already. “Another one is fuel. They have done everything possible to pay for fuel. They can’t pay. The money is not there. Now, there is fuel crisis. If they win, they will abandon you completely because they have no solution to the problems. “The first solution to the problems is a new government. Are we going to win? The answer is yes. We have not started campaign. We will start campaign by the end of this week. We will see the crowd again that will frighten the president. Nigerians want change. Things have got to change.” He decried the poor state of the federal road in Kalabari area, assuring that Buhari, when elected president, will fix the road and bring other democratic dividends to the state. “See your road. Two years ago, I sat with the president and Kalabari chiefs and I said, ‘Allow me take this road. The president said no’. You can see the road. Next rainy season, you cannot drive into this place unless you change the President and if you change the President, then the new President can fix the road.” -

Politics / Find Out The Only Thing President Jonathn Will Never Allow The APC Do In Nigeria by jonathan12345: 1:04pm On Mar 04, 2015
President Goodluck Jonathan has revealed the only thing he will never allow the opposition party to do in Nigeria.

What President Jonathan Promised Opposition Party
President Goodluck Jonathan

Speaking on Tuesday during the commissioning of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Wards’ Volunteer Scheme at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the President said his government would not give the opposition the opportunity to rule Nigeria.

Daily Trust reported that the scheme is a campaign strategy targeting the grass-roots using about one million volunteers.

Mr. President, who also used the medium to throw verbal stones at some unnamed people, accused them of bitterly criticising his administration because of their frustration, anger and guilt.

“And I always say that when you see people talking and you see the bitterness in their hearts, you see the frustration, the anger, and you see them as people who are already feeling guilty, if you don’t have a forgiving heart, if you don’t have a clean heart, you cannot rule Nigeria because you cannot give out what you don’t have,” he said.

The President who is the PDP candidate for the forthcoming poll boasted that the party had set standards in governance which the opposition can never match because they never had governance experience at the federal level.

“At the state level and at the national level; well, at the national level, we cannot compare our standards with theirs because they have not had the experience, and we will not give them the opportunity. But I know they will not do well,” Jonathan said.

Jonathan, who further stated that the PDP was the only party with members at every voting unit, regretted that party leaders and members have not been selling its achievements to the electorates.

“If you go to agricultural sector, transportation sector, education sector, petroleum sector, we’ve opened up the sector such that it has created a lot of room for the big boys in the Nigerian oil sector. There is no other party whether two, three, four, five parties coming together. They cannot reach that level. PDP has members in every voting unit in this country,” Jonathan said.

The President also asserted that it was only in PDP states that things are working, stressing that the party has done very well in governance.

“PDP has done very well, but we have not been marketing the achievements of our party. Sometimes, you see people that have done nothing coming to intimidate us. We’re doing better than others. It is only in PDP states that things are working. If I compare the quality of Government Houses and Presidential Lodges, the ones in PDP states are better in quality, even state universities opened by PDP states are better. The PDP states are committed to education. But sometimes, people come and say we have done nothing. The intimidation is more, to the extent that even in the states where we are more, where we even have PDP governors, they come to intimidate us. And we have to resolve that we cannot allow people who are not up to us to intimidate us,” Jonathan said.

Meanwhile, President Jonathan has revealed what he plan on doing if he loses the forth coming Presidential election to his major contender, General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

However, in what is perceived as Jonathan’s move to facilitate his victory in the forth coming election, the All Nigeria Save Democracy Movement (ANSADEM) has warned the Nigerian Senate that if it confirms Senator Musiliu Obanikoro to a ministerial post it will lead to mass actions across the country.

Politics / Jonathan: S-west APC Faults Yoruba Leaders On Endorsement by jonathan12345: 11:17am On Mar 04, 2015
IBADAN—ALL Progressives Congress, APC, in the South West zone has described the recent post-national conference summit where some Yoruba leaders endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term ambition as an assemblage of strange bedfellows who lacked the political aura to sell the candidacy of the President to reasonable people in the zone. South-West APC Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. Ayo Afolabi, said the self-acclaimed Yoruba leaders were in the minority and that was why, despite purporting to be acting in Yoruba interest, they held a conference that was not opened to the public. It said the fact that it was those caliber of people that were promoting the Jonathan candidacy in South-West had shown “how unpopular the President is in the region.” According to the party, “It is insulting and delusional for those championing Jonathan’s cause in the South-West to think they can decide for Yoruba people behind closed doors. The party said that Tony Uranta and Peter Obi attending a “Yoruba summit” in supervisory role from the presidency is another addition on the list of insults to the pedigree of Yoruba nation from Jonathan’s administration and why he will be rejected at the polls on March 28.” PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN (M) PDP NATIONAL CHAIRMAN, ALHAJI ADAMU MU’AZU; FORMER GOV OF OGUN STATE, OTUNBA GBENGA DANIEL; PRESIDENT, OODUA COOPERATIVE ALLIANCE, ASIWAJU ADETOKUMBO AND MEMBERS OF OODUA COOPERATIVE ALLIANCE AFTER A MEETING WITH PRESIDENT JONATHAN AT THE STATE HOUSE MARINA IN LAGOS ON FRIDAY (20/2/15). The party maintained that “Yoruba people cannot be fooled knowing that some of those who dubbed President Jonathan a bribe giver when an allegation of $50,000 ‘bribe’ was made by the Save Nigeria Group are the ones now championing Jonathan’s candidacy. “Jonathan candidacy is unsellable because when our members joined all Nigerians to protest and forced the pronouncement of Dr. Jonathan as the Acting President in 2010, we were not just fighting against the ‘cabal,’ we were sending a strong message that we are tired of the imperial and high-handed governance culture of the PDP-led federal government.” It recalled that Nigerians risked their lives in protest for him and many foremost citizens, like Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka, risked their reputations to back him for a change that the country truly deserved. On assumption of office, the party continued, the president allegedly “burnt the bridge that aided his feet to power by assembling another cabal that had since ruled Nigeria like a jungle, violated constitutional provisions, took corruption to an obscene level and promoted ethno-religious divide. “South west people will speak with their votes on March 28, only the election must not be like that of Ekiti State where state agents were used to rig election. Like they did in the State of Osun gubernatorial election, the South-west people, and by extension, all Nigerians, will resist all intimidations and attempt to steal their votes. As it was in 2010, when Nigerians were united across ethnic and religious divides.’’ - See more at:

Politics / I Will Return To My Village If I Lose – Jonathan by jonathan12345: 5:34pm On Mar 03, 2015
In a media chat held last month, President Goodluck Jonathan stated that he will hand over if he loses in a free and fair election. This statement triggered a great delight with the Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, General Muhammadu Buhari who commended the president for accepting to hand over power.

With just less than a month after making this declaration, President Goodluck Jonathan, has again said he will graciously bow out if he loses the March 28 Presidential election to his major opponent, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate.

He said Nigeria was not his father’s estate.

The president made this statement in an interview with cable TV, Al Jazeera, on Monday in Lagos, President Jonathan who repeatedly told his interviewer that he would win the March 28 election said if he lost the election he would return to Otuoke, his country home in Bayelsa State.

“If by default somebody wins the election, of course I will go back to my village. The country is not my father’s estate. I’ll not lose the election,” Jonathan said.

While commending the Nigerian troops for the recent successes recorded in the fight against Boko Haram, President Jonathan claimed that some people were using the insurgents to disrupt the general elections.

He said, “I don’t think (the elections will be postponed again). I think the elections will be conducted as scheduled by the INEC –that is the presidential election slated for March 28. I don’t see why we should postpone the election again because I’m quite impressed with the successes of the military operations going on in the North. There is a misunderstanding about the postponement of the general elections. In 2011, when the general elections were conducted, we had Boko Haram. The fact is that within that period, somehow the level of Boko Haram was quite serious and from all indications and from the signals the security agencies got, people are using Boko Haram to disrupt the elections.

“In 2011 there were no such signals and if the elections are disrupted in a number of states especially for the presidential elections, it will affect the declaration of results. So the security services don’t want to take any chances. They did not tell Nigerians that they must rout Boko Haram 100 per cent before the elections could be conducted. But they want to degrade Boko Haram to the extent that they would no longer have the kind of strength to come out and disrupt the elections. That is the key thing. In terms of taking over our territories, yes we will take over all our territories –yes, we will take over all of our territories and very soon there will be no part of Nigeria where they will erect a flag and say, ‘This is a Boko Haram territory.’ That we’ll do.”

Jonathan, though refused to accept responsibility for escalating Boko Haram violent attacks, he promised to put an end to the terrorist activities.

It would also be recalled that, President Jonathan reassured Nigerians and the international community that he has no plan to sack Professor Attahiru Jega, ahead of Nigeria’s general elections slated for March 28 and April 11.

Politics / BREAKING! Group Alleges Sinister Plot To Assassinate Buhari by jonathan12345: 5:07pm On Mar 02, 2015
The Buhari Vanguard, a group advocating for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Muhammadu Buhari, has raised alarm over alleged sinister plot to assassinate him by the Nigerian Presidency and the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

According to Premium Times, the statement was issued on March 2, 2015, by Jasper Azuatalam, chairman of the group.

The Buhari Vanguard said in it that they had become “extremely concerned” over the safety of the APC candidate.

“We cannot close our eyes and pretend that we do not see danger. We suspect that the PDP and the Presidency must be up to something sinister and may just be watering the ground for a soft landing when it is finally executed.

“We express fear that some people may be targeting to assassinate Gen Muhammadu Buhari and turn round to claim that it is their prophecy fulfilled.”

The group also recollected the last year accident when Buhari narrowly escaped death when his convoy was attacked by a suicide bomber two days after he had accused the President of not doing enough to ensure the security of lives and properties of Nigeria

“President Jonathan set up an inquiry into the attack, but we have not heard anything about the inquiry till date,” Azuatalam added.

According to the Buhari Vanguard, the recent paid advertorials on national newspapers by some prominent PDP members predicting Buhari’s death are also a part of their plot.

“The spokesperson of the President Jonathan’s 2015 campaign has severely turned into a prophet of doom by prophesying the death and incapacitation of Gen Muhammadu Buhari.

“They have forged false medical reports claiming that Gen Buhari has a terminal sickness. They have spread rumours of death and incapacitation about Gen Muhammadu Buhari when there is no sign of fever in Buhari,” the chairman said.

READ ALSO: Buhari Comments On Health And Education Allegations

The Buhari Vanguard also wondered why there were so many false speculations and rumors about the APC presidential candidate’s health after he had contested in three general election and “remained healthy and strong”.

Finishing its statement the group called on Nigerians and the international community to “keep an eye” on the Presidency and the PDP regarding Buhari’s safety.

“The PDP and Presidency have almost exhausted all avenues to stop Gen Buhari from contesting the 2015 general elections, now they are scheming to scuttle the whole election in its entirety.

“Who can tell if the only option remaining to stop change in Nigeria will not be to assassinate the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gen Muhammadu Buhari.”

Recently, one of Buhari’s supporters, the governor of Kano state, expressed his assurance that the APC presidential candidate is in better health than President Goodluck Jonathan.

“By my judgement, since we finished our party primary elections, he is sound, hale and fit to rule this country.

“In fact I feel he is healthier than the incumbent occupier of the seat because he went to all the states on campaigns in addition to other engagements that come in between,” Rabiu Kwankwaso said.

Politics / Tinubu To Sue AIT For Airing ‘Defamatory Documentary’ by jonathan12345: 4:55pm On Mar 02, 2015
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is set to sue the management of the Daar Communications Limited, owners of the Africa Independent Television (AIT), for allegedly airing a defamatory documentary on Sunday. According to Tunji Abayomi, counsel to Tinubu,a letter asking Daar Communications to apologise for the content and to stop further airing was delivered to the media organisation on Monday.

The letter read in part:

“You aired an hour-long documentary focusing on our client (Bola Tinubu). Clearly pre-occupied with political resentment and hatred neither warranted, necessary, proper, or justified, you published several false allegations against our client. “More disturbing is your misrepresentation that the said documentary was ‘sponsored’ without disclosing the ‘sponsors.’ You cannot, under law, hide under media freedom to maliciously injure a citizen’s reputation.”

Tinubu is demanding for N20 billion as compensation for damage done to his reputation, vowing to sue the company if it fails to oblige. The letter further said:

“To affirm the right of our client against your defamatory publication, we demand that you confirm to us within 24 hours of receipt of this letter, an apology and retraction of the said publication/documentary.”

Similarly, APC has given the PDP and Femi Fani-Kayode 72 hours to produce evidence of their claim that Yemi Osinbajo took an oath to resign for Tinubu to become vice-president in the event that Muhammadu Buhari wins the March 28 presidential election, or face legal action

Politics / APC Answers Fani-kayode, Says He Suffers From 'substance Abuse' by jonathan12345: 4:39pm On Mar 02, 2015
Nigeria’s main opposition party the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said opposing to the information being retailed by the spokesperson of the President Jonathan Campaign Organization, Femi Fani-Kayode, it doesn’t wish him any ill health, even though it is seriously concerned about his mental state.

The party issued a comment by its spokesman Lai Mohammed.

He said: “No, we have never and will never wish anyone any ill health. However, we are seriously concerned that Mr. Fani-Kayode may have unhinged, perhaps as a result of a relapse into an unhealthy lifestyle of substance abuse.

READ ALSO: Tinubu And Fani-Kayode Throw Jabs At Each Other

“Our concern stems from the series of incoherent statements, outlandish claims and inconsistent behaviours exhibited by Mr. Fani-Kayode in recent times, which call into question his state of mental health.

“We wish Mr. Fani-Kayode well and call on him to tell Nigerians that he remains clean, despite the massive pressure of work, and that he will not do anything that will see him needing a prolonged reformation in a foreign land,” it said.

APC added it’s only an unbalanced mind and someone who is staggering on the brink that will rise up the kind of improbable scenarios that have been put out there in quick succession by Mr. Fani-Kayode, and still consider powerfully that he is doing the right thing.

The party said the APC does not harbour the kind of disturbed personalities who abound in the PDP, and who will not hesitate to publicly wish fellow Nigerians ill or dead, as long as they consider such ill-will would commend them to their masters and guarantee their political survival.

Politics / You Need To Read What Tinubu Said About FFK And PDP by jonathan12345: 12:25pm On Mar 02, 2015
The PDP campaign continues its descent. This is to be
expected. Because the truth stings them harshly, they
have become a factory of lies. A few days ago, the agent of
character assassination who doubles as the busy hatchet man
of the PDP accused Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of plotting to be
vice president then President through subterfuge.
Clearly, he has exposed the confusion and contradiction
within his party and has veered off from the real debate.
But he cannot avoid the storm of change already unleashed by
the APC.

However, the only subterfuge involved in this entire
episode, is that eating at Fani-kayode’s mind. His
mind is an agent of mayhem and a foreigner to facts. The
last time we looked the APC ticket was a Buhari/Osinbajo
one. That is what is and that is what shall stand.
Fani-Kayode is not as smart as he thinks. If you read
between the lines of his hysteria you see another extreme
sentiment: that of surging desperation. His statement
indicates that even he now realizes that his pay master has
lost to Buhari/Osinbajo. The game is over. The whistle has
blown. What the fantasy man seeks to do is change the
game. He seeks to run against Tinubu in hopes the
outcome will be better. Fani now grasps at straw in the
night wind.

Fani Kayode is on a futile journey to shield the populace
from seeing the failures of his paymasters. His
statement taken in context indicates that his paymasters
will lose the election. They are now worried about what will
happen thereafter. The majority of Nigerians have concluded
that they have done enough damage to our politics, economy
and security; and cannot be tolerated any longer. Rather,
they should be voted out by the people. Their journey
of lies and deception is at its terminal point. It
lied to Nigerians and the international community that
elections had to be shifted first because of the PVC issue
and later it became a security ambush to change the date
thus aborting Nigeria’s date with destiny at the polls.
That FFK is the best a ruling party can do as a spokesman
speaks volumes about the PDP. They are bereft of
talent and character. They are filled with lies and
chicanery. FFK is simply the worst and most outspoken of a
bad lot. However, we welcome his interventions. They
are of such low quality and base character. His utterances
frighten people but not in the way FFK intended.
Instead of scaring the people away from the APC, his
work scares people that someone so unfit is so close to the
seat of power, someone so unhinged is given free rein to
spit bile and call that public discourse. One must wonder
who is unbalanced, the misfit or he who hires him. Keep at
it FFK. Continue!

Most Nigerians are fed up with this government and
desire change. They await eagerly that opportunity at the
polls. They cannot tolerate four more years of a Fani Kayode
of his paymasters and his utterances. That is your agony
Fani Kayode and of course that of the PDP and its gang of
destroyers. You will not be able to persuade majority of
Nigerians who are prepared to use their vote for a positive
change. And if only to shield the populace from your
peculiar brand of abuse of power both you and your boss must
go. The APC is committed to bringing reforms to our
institutions, recovery to our economy and relief to millions
of our citizens who are suffering.

This latest episode shows that Fani Kayode’s hallucinations
are now uncontrollable. Again, unable to
make headway against Buhari and Osinbajo he now wants to run
against Tinubu.
This plot will not work. Tinubu is not scheming to become
president through the back door. He, just like any qualified
Nigerian has the right to walk in through the front door if
he so desires. But he is not on the ticket.
For the job he is hired to do, it is expected that a Fani
Kayode will be blinded to the positive nature of the
Buhari/Osinbajo ticket. If he has failed to read and do some
research on the character of an Osinbajo, let me help him.
Yemi Osinbajo is fiercely independent. A
brilliant mind of great character and and a consummate
reformer and legal crusader. You will not dare speak
of him in this manner. The APC ticket is of people of great
resolve. But because among your own crowd you have people
who will willingly destroy not only our institutions and
country you think so of others. APC is a party with people
of impeccable character. Courageous and patriotic leaders
who are out to rescue our nation. And you, Fani Kayode are
on record to have said so in several interviews.
If FFK cannot recognize that Tinubu is a talent seeker, man
of vision, one who creates opportunities for the best minds
to thrive and serve the public, then he deserves our pity.
Tinubu’s hand is writ large in the brand of good
governance pervading the South West and other parts of
Nigeria. He is a hunter for talents as exemplified in
Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos who has redefined
governance.

Talented and hardworking Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun
State. Indefatigable Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State.
Eclectic Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state. The relentless Comrade
Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State. And until recently,
Kayode Fayemi who served Ekiti well. Yemi Osinbajo
belongs to this tribe of excellent public servants.
The APC still parades other governors who continue to excel
across the country. The likes of Governor Rabiu
Kwankwos in Kano, the tireless Governor Wamakko of
Sokoto State and other governors in Borno,
Rivers, Yobe, Kwara- all of them committed to bringing
change to their people.
Bola Tinubu help build the great platform for change
,wholeheartedly work abd supports the APC ticket because he
believes it is the last best hope to rescue Nigeria from the
disaster FFK and his ilk will want to continue to rule us if
allowed to. I pray Nigerians will not allow them to
misgovern us a day past May 29. If FFK pretends not to know
of Tinubu’s efforts to build and support the
APC, it comes as no surprise . Fani
Kayode tried before to be part of the party but left when he
found out there was no room for his games. Because APC
could not help to free him from EFCC and Aviation fraud he
ran away to the party that blocked the EFCC on his behalf.
On record are Tinubu’s efforts and his contributions to
rebuilding the nation and ensuring its democracy. They
are his patriotic obligation. People like FFK will never
understand this. Patriotism is not part of their personal
constitution. Everything they do has a private beginning and
personal end. They do nothing regarding the public purpose
except lie about it.

I will not dignify FFK’s outrageous lies with any
reply. All I know is that Nigerians know that he is a
peddler of falsehood. And millions of Nigerians are with APC
and its leaders.
Tinubu, like millions of APC members is pleased with the
performance of the APC ticket on the campaign trail and
looks forward to greater accomplishments from the Buhari
/Osinbajo team once in office.
Let me restate that Tinubu is a committed democrat and he
has demonstrated that times over. He is one man that has
chosen to serve this country to the best is his
ability. By God’s grace, the support of millions of
Nigerians APC will go on to win the March Presidential
elections and General Buhari and Osinbajo will go ahead to
be sworn in to lead this country to better times.
.Femi Fani Kayode cannot just leave Tinubu alone because
they see him as their political nemesis. But Tinubu will not
be their dart board. If they want to see the culprit behind
their flagging misfortune, they do not need to glare at
Tinubu. They should go home and peer into the nearest
mirror. Therein their trouble lies.
Now that FFK has revealed why his party, the PDP has
consistently persecuted Bola Tinubu through phony code of
conduct tribunal, massive unjustified
attacks against his character and integrity, intimidation
and harassment.

They all have failed. In what is a classic
case of abuse of power, the government you now work for have
accused Tinubu in the past of baseless and unproven
allegations whereas in your party, including yourself there
are wolves feasting on the commonwealth of the people. For a
leadership that cannot define corruption and theft, we are
left with a gang of plunderers. You have openly and secretly
stolen and plundered the wealth of the nation without the
slightest concern about morality and the suffering masses.
The fiction of a thousand Fani Kayodes cannot stop an idea
whose time has come. The APC is committed to upholding and
respecting the tenets of democracy and of bringing a new
government that will usher in a new day for a new Nigeria.
And that is what Fani Kayode and his party cannot handle.
The nation has had enough of their shamelessness. Please
pack up. It is time to go.

Politics / Jonathan’s Visit To Lagos A Waste – Fashola, Ambode by jonathan12345: 12:05pm On Feb 27, 2015
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, and the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in the state, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, on Thursday, took a swipe at President Goodluck Jonathan for his repeated visits to Lagos ahead of the March 28 presidential election.

They said the President was only being deceived by the state leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party as Lagosians would not vote for him.

While speaking at a rally in the Ifako/Ijaye Local Government Area of the state, Fashola said although Jonathan had a right to visit the state, his recent visits were hypocritical because when Lagos was facing its biggest challenge during the Ebola outbreak, the President never visited the state.

He, therefore, urged the people of the state not to be deceived by the visits.

Fashola accused the President of distributing dollars during his five-day visit to the state last week, adding that Jonathan’s planned visit to Lagos on Sunday would amount to nothing.

He said, “They have said the President is coming to Lagos. He is welcome to come; Lagos is part of his constituency but we will not vote for him because when we needed him, he did not come to help us. When the international airport road was damaged and he promised to fix it, did you see him?

“When Ebola hit Lagos, did he come? When Kuramo Beach was overflowing and it was going to wipe out the entire Goshen Beach Estate, did you see the President? When I took him to Ibeju-Lekki, where people were losing their lands, we flew in a helicopter to the place but after that, the President never returned. I wrote letters and appealed but no response.

“We have been using your taxes to protect those communities. So, you have been on your own, with your own party and government. So, he can come 200 times but will you vote for him? The only time the President works is a few weeks to elections. When there was security problem in Lagos, who was buying guns and patrol vehicles for the police? Was it not us?”

Ambode said his supporters were free to collect money from Jonathan when he comes to visit on Sunday. He, however, urged the people of the state not to sell their PVCs to the PDP.

“When they offer you dollars, collect it, it is our money. But vote for us,” he said.

Politics / I Promise Amnesty Will Not Be Granted To Boko Haram by jonathan12345: 11:56am On Feb 27, 2015
Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate on Thursday February 26, has ruled out amnesty for Boko Haram insurgents if elected President Punch reports.

The former military head of state said the activities of the sect which has so far killed over 13, 000 people since 2009, had become a source of worry to many people within and outside the country.

Buhari who was at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House, London, where he addressed the world on various issues concerning the rescheduled general elections.

He said, “I think I will not go to that office with that promise. I have said in my address how, at least 13,000 Nigerians have been killed by Boko Haram, how millions of them have been displaced and are now kept in different camps called Internally Displaced Persons camps.

“Schools have been burnt, there is so much disruption to normal life; people cannot farm and where they are able to farm, they cannot harvest. So, granting amnesty to Boko Haram will be unfair to the system.”

The APC presidential candidate who described himself as “a former military ruler and a converted democrat,” stated that any insurgent caught would “be given the chance in civil courts to be properly prosecuted.”

He added, “We will secure Nigeria. At no other time in our history has Nigeria been this insecure. Boko Haram has sadly put Nigeria on the terrorism map, killing more than 13,000 of our nationals, displacing millions internally and externally, and at a time holding on to portions of our territory the size of Belgium. What has been consistently lacking is the required leadership in our battle against insurgency.”

He accused the current administration of allowing Boko Haram to operate with ease by failing to provide what he described as “a multi-dimensional response” to its activities.

“In the matter of this insurgency, our soldiers have neither received the necessary support nor the required incentives to tackle this problem,” he said.

The former Head of State also said his regime would look into the root causes of insurgency “by intiating a comprehensive economic development plan promoting infrastructural development, job creation, agriculture and industry in the affected areas.

The APC presidential candidate assured the world that they would have no cause to worry about Nigeria any longer if given the mandate to rule the country by Nigerians.

Buhari also said the global interest the Nigerian general elections had generated was not misplaced. He therefore urged the international community to continue to focus on the country at this very critical moment.

He expressed his view that the elections should be conducted on the rescheduled dates of March 28 and April 11 and that their outcomes should be respected by all parties.

The APC presidential candidate also flayed President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration for the poor management of the country’s economy.

Buhari, who expressed his distaste for corruption, promised to run a transparent government.

He said, “There will be no confusion as to where I stand. Corruption will have no place and the corrupt will not be appointed into my administration. First and foremost, we will plug the holes in the budgetary process.

“But I must emphasise that any war waged on corruption should not be misconstrued as settling old scores or a witch-hunt. I am running for President to lead Nigeria to prosperity and not adversity. Nigerians can be respected again.”

He dismissed the persistent report by the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, that he was not fit to rule, saying that his doctors had declared him healthy.

Identifying joblessness among Nigeria’s youths as one of the issues that would grab his attention, Buhari said, “Sixty per cent of Nigerians are youths and most of them are unemployed. This is a problem we will tackle.”

Buhari also promised to provide robust security for investors to do their business.

When asked his position on Sharia, he said, “The Nigerian constitution is superior to any other law. Sharia is on the same level as customary laws. Sharia is limited and anybody who wants to change this will need to change the constitution. ”

The Katsina born General, who had been variously accused of dictatorship, said he took responsibility for whatever happened under his watch as the head of state between 1983 and 1985.

Pro and anti-Buhari supporters almost clashed outside the venue of the event but for the intervention of policemen. Both groups arrived at the event with placards expressing their opinions of the presidential candidate.

Meanwhile the Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has said he has nothing personal against the former head of state, Following his death wish for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
