First, what's your status in your present location? if you have legal permit in your current location you can migrate from therer to canada with ur potential spouse.there two ways or more to migrate to canada base on partner. (1) common-law (2) legal marriage. you could be qualified for ealier since you have been living for 2 yrs. the requirement is 1 yr cohabitant in which u met already. if you are going for the later get married anywhere and start the processing most times it takes less than a year. if you doing it from asia where you reside it might be faster than going through NIGERIA/GHANA.

A Nigerian Senator, Suleiman Nazif, representing Bauchi North constituency was deported today from the Washington-Dulles International airport after he arrived the US with a visa that was granted him to attend President Obama's inauguration in January 2009.

The senator, who was traveling with a friend, had six days left before his visa expires. He was refused entry to Washington DC by the US Customs and Immigration Services (USCIS) on the suspicion that his purpose of visit did not tally with the notations on his visa. Also, sources told Saharareporters that the Senator did not contact the Nigerian consulate in DC that he was visiting.

“He arrived last night on a British Airways flight from London and had since been prevented from entering US soil.” a US immigration source told Saharareporters.

Senator Nazif will be deported back to the UK on a BA flight leaving Washington-Dulles tonight and he is expected to proceed to Nigeria from the UK.

john | WORCESTER-USA | 3/10/2009 8:17:00 PM what do you mean by the above statement ? if the usa and british government had being deporting most of those who stole nigeria money abroad, by now we may not require visa to visit uk or the usa . let them feel the pains of the st*p*d decisions they take for others. this is also a reflection of how they run the country making st*p*d id**tic decisions wrecking havoc to the economy and the society- his constituecy should see this as a reflection of presentiing people like this to run others lives when they cannot even make a simply protocol arrangements for themselves. is this the best that state has ? then i weep for nigeria as a whole.
