I can't help but laugh. People still dive in naked, without minding the consequence. To think pregnancy test kit, came 3rd, is kinda amusing.

Someone once told me, "Nigerians are more afraid of pregnancy, than they are of STD/STI". Frankly, I believe her.

Across Nigeria there is a belief that people will try to arrest you on a Friday if they want you to suffer.

If you are arrested anytime between Monday and Thursday then you might be released on the same day or at most the next day, but if you are arrested on a Friday, then you might not get out till Monday.

That's because the courts and various government offices are closed till Monday (closed for the weekend).

It was in an effort to counter this problem that Governor Fashola established special courts in Lagos that sat on Saturdays.

But I thought there are laws enforcing the fundamental human rights of detainees, helping them to maintain the premise that, a detainee shouldn't be detained, for more than 24 hours, without being charged to court.

Emmanuel Akwuobi aka Deriko is a 19 year old student who used computer generated images to pretend that he was a wealthy and older man that livea abroad. A lot of Twitter users fell for his deception.

Earlier this year there were allegations that the musician Chike was having an affair with the wife of television presenter Frank Edoho. A known troll called Fimlex tweeted that he heard that Chike has slept with another person's wife and Deriko replied with the name of Tony Elumelu's wife.

Deriko has been arrested, arraigned on cybercrimes charges and remanded at Ikoyi Prison.

His family has released several videos to plead with Tony Elumelu to forgive him. They say that he has final exams and might not be able to graduate if he misses the exams.
