Pls contact me and let have a quick discussion.

My contact number is: 08020660010 and my email joseph4dlord08@gmail.com

quote author=sehawale post=38820469]If you are UberPartner or Driver in Lagos, kindly share your experience here:

- Considering the unpredictable traffic situation in some parts of Lagos, is it lucrative?
- How much on the average do you make weekly, working from morning till evening daily excluding weekends?
- What are the challenges specific to Lagos with being a partner or driver with Uber?
- Would you recommend a friend to be a partner with Uber.
- Any other useful info...

I need this survey/shared experience because I have thought of being a partner with Uber. I have a driver that is assigned to my family. My family's daily itinerary is fixed and this makes my driver and my car idle from 8am to 8pm daily. Registering the car and the driver with Uber has been considered to roll extra bucks into the family's purse and increase my driver's take-home as he will get commission from money made from Uber, apart from the salary he is being paid presently.

Your comments will be appreciated!

Autos / Re: Are Kia Forte And Hyundai Elantra Good For Uber Business? by Joseph4dlord08: 4:33pm On Oct 25, 2019
mcforbes:
I have a 2009 Hyundai Elantra and 2010 Kia Forte. I want to start Uber business by engaging drivers to drive for me on hire purchase. I hear that Toyota Corolla is the best for that business but I don't have the money to buy a new car. Are my two cars, especially the Hyundai Elantra good for the business?

Definitely yes both cars falls under the category of 1.8lirre engine which is a good fuel economical vehicle for the purpose.

I'm interested in driving any of the said vehicle especially the Kia forte.

Whatever your name is not my concern but believe me if I label you as a complete wrecker and an idiot. All the way from Ikeja to Abeokuta and you still return the rider to Lagos, spent more than 8hrs on the bad road driving and at the end you call yourself a business minded person. It's unfortunate that drivers like you makes car owner regret investment and after All making it difficult for drivers to get vehicle without strict and hard terms and conditions. Even if you're the owner of the vehicle do you know the damage done to your body, damage to the car and the stress you'll feel after the trip. And now your client mention to have lodge you in an hotel if one find out about the cost for the room it won't be more than N2500. Na wa ooo ok

Dear brother,
Toyota Corolla 2005 price for tokumbo is between 1.8m-2.0m (million). For him to add 1.5m is very high but he gave you a good number of months to repay.
Analysing it all it is not a good deal. Unless you don't have cash for down payment which would have been good for u to negotiate the price for 3m.

Give me a call I will give you a good hint...08025590554.

Bross you want to kill yourself in no time. Don't think about it at all. Before you meet up with a year payment believe me the car is already saying goodbye because you will suffer the car as a matter of fact the asking price is too much and with what is happening with both uber and taxify it is very difficult to meet up that amount monthly let alone 3.5m at the end.

Well, for a car owner it's still manageable but for a renter it is not at the same time it depends on the weekly charge to rent the car. It's dicey but to an extent it's still ok, but try to bargain for less than 25k per week and then make sure it's a tokunbo so you'll enjoy it. Don't agree to pay more than 25k and if possible 20k.

My own experience was a particular day at lekki chicken republic to be precise after the place restaurant. A rider requested and on getting to the pick up location believe me that this person wanted to put frozen chickens as in frozen chicken dripping the melted water on the floor. I told him I can't he asked why I said it gonna give my car offensive smell and I can't allow that he replied and said that's how other drivers do pick him saying I'm the first person to reject his request.

At this point it came back to my memory where riders in my car while discussing tells me that cars on uber and taxify now have bad odour and smell as well as mosquitoes bitting them in a car.

Each riders always comment on the neatness of my car.

Another incident was a request on the mainland around Mangoro when the rider had a live ram as in live cow requesting me to open the trunk for him to put a life ram and cow in my car.

Believe me people now abuse using uber and taxify all because everybody I mean majority can now afford to request because of the little amount at the end if the trip.

Na wa o ooo.

gobuchinny:

My man this is a far better approach that you took than charging for luggage...I once got a request to carry a woman to the international airport who was running late..as them dey bring out the luggage I just dey look..but it was like the luggage no gree finish..mehn I just told her I cant go alone that she should request another uber make we share the luggage...she begged me and said she was in a hurry..minus the load sef four people sat at the back and two (and adult and a little child) in front..as we were driving I was literally in tears because my shock absorber was speaking to me...I was asking myself how much sef this woman wan gimme wey go equate the damage to my shocks...when I got to the airport the woman gave me an additional 500 naira or so I was heart broken..I just smiled and left very broken...

Truth is some riders are heartless and uber/taxify business dynamics no send driver in that regard..the noble thing is reject the trip and negotiate offline than cheat the system..I learnt a bitter lesson that day and I never repeated same again.

Billgoldberg na wa o
All of those comments of your yours keep making me laugh ad if those of us here on the thread are not using the same platform to drive as if we are not indigens of this same country Nigeria as if we don't use the same application, as if we don't pick the same riders paying the same amount of money or maybe he's own app surges every time and he picks ghost and spirits always who gives him money on a regular basis.

Idiot telling us he made 45k a day.
He's definitely a mad man .

I think it's possible if he had a bomb offline trip. He did not really specify though

Gud day guyz... Am a taxify partner and my driver came up with this story of reduction in fare rate by taxify as excuse to reduce rental fee to 30k.. pls is anyone experiencing this..

Yes sir the trip rate on taxify is far less than uber now, reason I don't know but let him use uber app and if he's not a driver on uber he should sign Up for his own good.
