Family / Re: Domestic Violence. Who Do We Blame? by joshua203016: 1:08pm On Apr 19, 2022
You have never experience a woman locking your shirt or using your tie to drag you before right?

My gender have suffer, but because we dont use to shout about the verbal abuse from women, you people think all is well with married women abi...

I dont support beaten a woman too o, but may God never allow you meet a woman that deliberately want you to do your worse
Toks2008:

Kuku kill her because she abused you verbally.

If she abuse you verbally at worst abuse her too make we kuku know it is two women fighting as long as you dont hit her. That is my point.

No one supports verbal abuse from a lady but if it happens just refrain from hitting her.

Family / Re: #DowenCollege: Bad Parenting Vs Bad School Training. Which Is To Blame? by joshua203016: 1:30pm On Dec 05, 2021
I blame bad parenting quote author=ModelLook post=108199730]Looking at this Dowen College Saga.

How these evil young secondary school boys run a CULT group in the school and killed an innocent JSS1 boy.

How the parents quickly hide them from persecution.

How the school are covering the story up and hiding the identity of the boys and parents.

I am beginning to wonder, who is to blame for this whole situation.

Is it THE PARENTS OR THE SCHOOL?

Some people say Bad Parenting is the genesis of it all because if the parents are training their children well, small secondary school kids of ages 11 to 16 shouldn't know anything that has to do with CULTISM at that age.

Some say Bad School training is the genesis. That the school is meant to train the students well and eradicate anything unlawfull in it. After all, the parents are paying huge sums of money for that.

Some say none are to blame?

After all, Train up a Child in the way he should go.

To you, who is to blame in this case. Is it Bad Parenting or Bad School Training

What are your thoughts?[/quote]

everyone of us need someone to help us, we need the eye of another person to see through our challenges and solution.........

I believe we can live to our full potentials without having to take drug to get over emotional dysfunctions, and where drug is needed, it is 100% good to apply talk therapy!

Health / Re: One In Every Four Nigerian Has Mental Disorder - Dr. Vincent Udenze by joshua203016: 1:10pm On Mar 31, 2016
GurlFriend:
According to the Medical Director, Synapse Services Resource Centre, Dr. Vincent Udenze, one in every four Nigerian is living with one form of mental disorder or another.

Udenze further noted that one in seven persons would suffer a serious episode of mental illness in their lifetime.

Udenze made this startling prognosis at the inauguration of the centre at Lekki, Lagos.

According to the mental health specialist, Nigerians suffer the consequences of mental health problems due to the acute shortage of registered health facilities and the stigma attached to the condition.

Udenze added, “One in every four Nigerian has one form of mental disorder and one in every seven will suffer serious mental health problems. This is a conservative estimate, considering that many Nigerians with mental challenges do not seek help because they do not want people to stigmatise them and their families.”

He also lamented that the majority of the health care institutions in the country paid less attention to mental illness cases.

He said, “Look around, we have got over 50 government hospitals looking after pregnant women. We have thousands of private hospitals and maternal homes for women and children. How many mental health facilities are in Lagos with a population of over 18 million people? They are very few.

“If you provide the environment, facility and make people aware that it exists, you will be surprised at the response you are going to get. The truth is that the government will never be able to do enough in tackling the menace of mental health because it does not have enough resources for that.

“While the government is doing what it can, the private sector, non-governmental organisations, and individuals must come together to address stigma and provide facilities for those who need treatment before they fall into the wrong hands.”

To make a difference, Udenze said the centre would establish more centres in the state, just as its foundation would provide free treatment for indigent patients.

sure, many people are not aware that there are about five classifications of mental disorders in which only schizophrenia and depression are commonly known to people in Nigeria. I wish people get enlightening, so that we in the profession can rally help or assist them

SIN AGAINST THE BODY
Memorise: Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth Fornication sinneth against his own body. 1st Corinthians 6:18
Read: 1Cor 6:15-20
MESSAGE;
The scripture tells us that our bodies are the temple of the Almighty
God. This is to let us know how important our body is to the
Almighty God. He dwells in it. Can you imagine that divinity
lives inside of you? As Christians, our bodies are the extension of
Christ in this world. This is why we are being admonished not to
conform to this world. The moment a person begins to sin against
his body through fornication, that person is already doomed for
destruction because you are taking the body of Christ and laying it
with a harlot. All sins are against the Almighty God. Some sins are
against those around us when we engage in certain acts, but the
sin of fornication is destruction against one’s own body.
Your body is a tool entrusted into your hands by the Almighty God
and everyone will give account of what they do with their body.
You will be answerable to all the damages against your body
because the body does not belong to you; it was only entrusted to
your care by God. The moment a person gives his life to Christ,
Jesus Christ becomes the owner and Lord of your life. Every part of
your body becomes a tool in His hand. Your eyes, hands, legs,
tongue, nose and every organ of your body becomes His. You can
no longer sin with your body; you can no longer walk in the
company of the ungodly. You can no longer taste alcohol, Indian
hemp, smoke cigarettes, cocaine etc. Your hands become clean
and for His glory alone. You are no longer the owner of your body.
You are only the owner of something that you created. You did not
create your body.
“And the lord formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life; and man become a living souls.”
Genesis 2:7
Fornication is a very terrible sin because it is a total abuse of the
temple of the Almighty God. Anyone that destroys the temple of the
Almighty God will see the wrath of God! The consequence is
always disastrous on the part of the person abusing the temple of
God.
There are different kinds of teachers today who trivialise some
things that God has a great disgust for. You cannot play with fire
and not have your fingers burnt. Are you the leader of a group and
you are abusing the bodies of those God has put in your care? Are
you an executive in the fellowship and you are sleeping around
with the sisters in the name of ‘brotherly love’? Are you single but
becoming so impatient that you have started doing what
exclusively reserved for married people? You are looking for the
‘consuming fire’ side of God and you can be sure you will not be
able to withstand the consequences. I want you to make up your
mind this moment that enough is enough on every unholy
relationship and affair. If you don’t want your destiny to be
truncated by sin, you must FLEE from every appearance of evil.
Prayer Point;
Father, please help me to honour You daily with my body.
