Shortly after, he received word that his stem cells had been matched to a boy in England.

But God gave us the means to be responsible," the Pope said. But he added that for the poorest, a child was a treasure for its mother and father. To a separate question, the Pope said that most importantly, no outside institution should impose its views on families. Progressive, Western ideas about birth control and gay rights were increasingly being imposed by groups, institutions or nations there, often as a condition for development aid, he said. "Every people deserves to conserve its identity without being ideologically colonised," the Pope said. There is a long history of strong leaders visiting their troops when a country is at war in order to lift their spirits and boost their morale. For example, Bush went to visit his troops in Iraq and Obama has gone to visit his troops in Afghanistan more than once. By war front I don't mean the actual theater of fighting. A visit can be staged in a neutral territory close enough to where the troops are based but far enough for the safety of the president to be guaranteed. They will appreciate it and it will also make him look strong.
