The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, who spoke at a gathering of Yoruba leaders on Thursday, in Ibadan, declared his support for President Buhari as he slammed former President Olusegun Obasanjo 'who never did all they wanted'.

A Nasarawa man who planned his kidnap, has been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command as confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Abubakar Kamal,

Alhaji Abdullahi Mohammed who was paraded alongside other 86 suspects arrested in 13 days for various offences across the state, was nabbed after his one Tijjani Mohammed of Sabon Fegi in Lafia town, Nasarawa State, reported at the Lafia Police Area Command that his brother, Abdullahi Mohammed, left home for business in Kano on May 12.

It was gathered that Abdullahi later called, and informed him that he and others were kidnapped near Gusau while on their business trip to Zamfara State. According to him, the abductors demanded a ransom of N10 million and also directed the family to deliver the ransom for his release. The police thereafter arrested one Haruna Saidu of Gamawa Local Government Area in Bauchi state who had come to collect the ransom, which was reduced to N1 million. NAN reported that Further investigation, got the Nasarawa who planned his own kidnap arrested.

Fatou Toufah Jallow, a former Gambian beauty queen has disclosed that she was raped by ex-President Yahya Jammeh in 2015. The former beauty queen who revealed that she was raped by ex-President Yahya Jammeh in 2015, gave her testimony in a Human Rights Watch and Trial International report that details another alleged rape and sexual assault by Mr Jammeh. According to Fatou Toufah Jallow, the incident occurred after she was invited to the Presidential villa after winning the pageantry. She further revealed that she was sodomized Mr. Jammeh who now lives in exile in Equatorial Guinea, after she turned down his marriage move. 23-year-old Ms Jallow told the BBC she wanted to meet Mr Jammeh, 54, in court so he could face justice. She said;

"I decided to speak now because it is time to tell the story and to make sure that Yayha Jammeh hears what he has done. I've really tried to hide the story and erase it and make sure it's not part of me. Realistically I couldn't so I decided to speak now because it is time to tell the story and to make sure that Yayha Jammeh hears what he has done."

While Mr. Jammeh is yet to respond to the allegation, however a spokesman for his APRC party denied the accusations.

"We as a party and The Gambian people are tired of the steady stream of unfounded allegations that have been reported against our ex-president," said Ousman Rambo Jatta, in a written statement to the BBC.

Amr Warda, a midfielder from Egypt has been sent home from the the 2019 African Cup of Nations, AFCON competition over his leaked chat with women.  According to the Egypt Football Federation, Amr Warda was sent home over the leaked chat with women to “to maintain discipline, commitment and concentration”. The Greek club PAOK player's social media conversations with several women, was leaked on the internet after the Pharoahs’ 1-0 win over Zimbabwe in the tournament’s opening game.

The flood which swept through a community around Agbor Technical College in Delta state, took away a Pastor's 2 sons. The Pastor's 2 sons who were swept away by the flood, were identified as Testimony and Godwin aged 15 and 11 years respectively. It was gathered that the incident occurred around 5pm on Friday, June 21, 2019, and Revd. Chosen Godday, the father of the two boys reportedly received the sad news from a teenager. 

According to eyewitnesses, the children had returned from the farm with their father and carried some basins to fetch rain water when the incident occurred. Godwin fell into the gutter first and Testimony, in a bid to rescue him, also fell and both were swept away by the flood, Punch reports.

“When I was called, I rushed out to the scene. At Uromi Junction axis, I found a crowd who rescued one of them. I quickly rushed him to the hospital where doctors at the Central Hospital, Agbor, confirmed he was already dead". The second boy was discovered dead the following day.

A man who stole and sold a grandmother's underwear for N2,000, has been arrested by the officers attached to the Ekiti Police Command. The suspect identified as  21-year-old Efoghae Friday who stole the underwear belonging to Modupe Adekoya, who lives in a three-bedroom flat on 15, Olorunsogo Street, Basiri, Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital, was arrested on Tuesday afternoon after a relative of theft victim made a complaint. The man who stole and sold a grandmother's underwear for N2000 in Ekiti, was arrested alongside three others who have been transferred to the New Iyin police station on Bank Road, Ado Ekiti. 

Recounting her ordeal, Madam Adekoya, said: ”I know Friday very well as he usually come to assist me in doing some domestic chores at home. To appreciate him, I use to give him meals but I never thought he could do this."

Identical twins identified as Rev Paul Eberechukwu Onele and Rev Peter Uchechukwu Onele, are set to be ordained Catholic Priests in Imo years after they began their journey to priesthood. The identical twins will be ordained as Catholic Priests by His Lordship, Most Rev. Mathew Kwasi Gyamfi, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani, Ghana at St Anthony Mary Claret parish Owerri, Imo state on July 13.

It was further gathered that their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Godwin Onele from Nkaliki Unuhu, Abakaliki LGA of Ebonyi state are said to be super proud of their boys and feel blessed to watch them dedicate their lives to the service of God.

This is coming after it was reported that identical twin brothers Francis and Corenlius Offia were ordained Catholic priests by the bishop of Nnewi diocese Rev. Hilary Odili Okeke. The twins performed their first mass as ordained priests at the St. Patrick's Catholic church Aguluzigbo. In attendance was former APGA chairman Senator Victor Umeh, who gifted them cars, congratulating them, as he wished them well on their religious journey.
