because dey cant tink nd make moni. so they see marriage as their only hope of survival
And who told you they can’t think and make money? It’s just a society thing. The ones that are successful you will still tell them ‘go and marry’ or ‘when will you marry?’

Most females are happy cus the have someone to depend on financially. While the so called ready made are just happy escaping pressure from family
So it doesn’t have to do with love and companionship?

Hmmm. I think im liking you the more. Truth is I love emotional women. But on d contrary Naija women expects all men to have action and be rocky. No room/respect for emotional men and its such men dat can understand emotional women. And believe me one way u can know such men is theyre shy and timid when they see girls they love. But no girl likes such a man. All girls expect a superbold man who can do d do and talk d talk at all times, so such men keep to themselves

Secondly i think our culture is d major reason. In nigerian culture, theres no room for emotional people at all. Everybody respect extroverts, no much respect for introverts. And even if a girl sees a man dat appeals to her, she cannot toast him until he takes d first move which he may never take. Besides, marriage is over rated in nigeria.
Marriage is indeed over rated.

Romance / Why Are Women More Excited About Marriage? by JoyceMeyersFan(f): 10:34pm On Feb 12, 2018
Hope they know they are the ones who will
`become pregnant and old
`have a lot of emotions with no one to share with because men aren't interested in emotional talks
`not make any major decision, career-business-personal, without first considering the home and kids, while the man is carefree, focusing on his dreams and pursuing it with all he has got.
`take care of the home and kids with no one appreciating and the man expecting to be appreciated because it appears he is the one slaving for the family.
`ask for money you won't spend on yourself but on the home, while you have lots of needs that you can't mention
`get blamed when the man cheats, when he doesn't have money to give his relations
`get blamed when there are no kids, when the kids are misbehaving or not well kept
`YOU CAN ADD YOURS

being in love doesn't make you not to cheat. Discipline is what does. a disciplined person with no tolerance to cheating won't just cheat. argue all you want.....you are cheating because you lack discipline.

Trusting yourself is already a weakness.

Emotional cheating lacks control about sex. You're d best mechanic of ur emotions and not some man.

Its ur husband I pity.
guess you are just attacking her because she is a woman. i thought the post was for you to learn? don't listen to your woman and don't act like you care let's see if she doesn't go beyond the emotional cheating sef... mtcheew

Nairaland / General / 4 Life Lessons I Don’t Want To Forget by JoyceMeyersFan(f): 8:56am On Jan 18, 2018
1. You don’t have to explain yourself to anybody. Just give a short reply like ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to the question asked and forget about giving reasons. Nobody is really interested in your reasons. They are just waiting for you to finish so they can tell you their own which will in no way be affected by your reasons.
2. Don’t cross the bridge till you get there. Stop imagining, stop letting the thoughts and worries of tomorrow steal your today. At the long run, you will see that things always get better than you imagined.
3. Stop escalating. Don’t blow things out of proportion. Just for one little thing someone said, don’t go and start thinking the rest through, adding what you feel the person thought or imagined. People squabble and move on, don’t go thinking and planning what to say to the person next or how the person is feeling about you now. Just drop it and move on.
4. Stop forcing your opinion on others. You think you know more than the other person and should be listened to? The person thinks the same too. Say what needs to be said without aggression and pressure and learn to listen and not say more.

Nairaland / General / What Are You Building? by JoyceMeyersFan(f): 9:03am On Jan 15, 2018
This post was inspired by the picture below. What are you building right now? Sometimes we don't remember that whatever we are doing with our lives right now is the future we are building for ourselves. You don't wake up one morning with a career, a business empire or a home if you haven't been working towards it. Luck is just when opportunity meets preparedness. What do you do every day of your life? Do you think the result it will yield is what you want for your future? These people posting pictures of everyday partying and smoking, what are you building biko?

People saying “when he was normal” “I prefer his before” “The story doesn’t sound true” you guys are just being Nigerians...
Being normal wouldn’t have made him famous—it’s his choice, what’s in that old pix that makes it better than the bright and happy looking ‘later’, why will he conjour lies to tell you as his story? Is he looking for any favour from you?

The main thing is that you can hardly find any Nigerian blog with one agenda like posting exclusive health info or political issues or relationship issues, they all go for news and entertainment

If you want to vent, why not go and vent to those concerned?

Call your relatives and vent for them.

Why bringing it to social media?

Maybe he just wants to feel better about himself by letting the whole world know that his blood sister is a demon.

O dikwa egwu o!
And wasn't she a demon? Why are some people trying to protect her?

Seems you are more concerned about this abusive treatment being kept a secret than you're for the young man who may not have recovered from the hell he passed through.
