Odunharry:I did not give them a rate. I was willing to go with whatever was offered |
I put in a request since last week and funded my account on Monday only to be told this morning that my Tbill request did not go through. Just so disappointed in FCMB |
Happy new year everyone. Please stay guided and educated as we begin another year of crypto investment/trading so that you'll continue to reap positive rewards from crypto. My observation of the crypto market right now is that technical analysis shows that BTC is in descending triangle in the monthly timeframe. In technical analysis, a descending triangle is generally a positive sign for price action. If BTC is able to break out of the descending triangle (price rises above 99.5k from current 93.5k), then we will see more increase in BTC price in the nearest future. However, based on fundamental analysis, BTC price will face difficulty going higher because of USA federal reserve decision to stop reducing interest rate. Any increase in interest rate will cause stock market and crypto market to crash. Although Trump will be sworn in soon, which is a good fundamental news for BTC, this positivity can be pushed aside if the US fed decides to raise interest rate to tame inflation. Trump's threat to impose tariffs is not helping because imposing tarriffs could lead to inflation in the USA which may cause the USA central bank (fed reserve) to raise interest rate to curtail inflation. If I was you and I was in profit, I'll sell now and wait for Trump to be sworn in (20th of this month) and also wait to see the policy direction of US fed chairman Powell whose tenure will expire in May 2026, especially because Powell and Trump are not on the same page on crypto, interest rate and tarriffs. Don't let the big players use your money to go enjoy the next crypto holiday (bear market) which is already closer than you think. Use very tight stop loss. Read everything I have written above and do more research to make your own decision. Hopefully more people will contribute their own thoughts without rancour. Read and digest everything. May you all experience more wins than losses, amen |
emmasoft:Hello. Who are all the parties in the Norrenberger Dollar fund? 1. If tomorrow, UBA bank fails like Heritage bank, what happens to all our individual investments in Stanbic MMF since UBA is the custodian bank in possession of the funds? 2. If you have USD in UBA and you invest the USD in a UBA investment, like fixed deposit, etc... What happens if UBA fails or folds up like Heritage bank? 3. NDIC says depositors funds are insured up to a certain amount, what if you have like $35,000 there in the failed UBA and NDIC only repays N5 million? Please throw more light. Thank you |
godlyguy:If you traded the way described up there, you'll already be in profit now, and it is reasonable for you to close the trade or set a stoploss on the trade at 99.3k so you can break even if BTC price suddenly climbs back up from its current 97.3k If BTC goes back and breaks above 99.5k, that would be a short trend reversal cos BTC will be going to retest 109.5k. You can then wait to short BTC at 108.5k to 109.5k with a stoploss at 110.5k. The strategy above and in the previous post is a trading strategy for SHORTING the market when the market is bearish due to a big negative news. Using stoploss will help you minimise any loss in such trades, and the stoploss is typically set around 1 to 1.5% above your entry price for that short trade. |
Take 2% of your trading capital. Divide that 2% into 2 parts, 50% each. Short BTC anywhere from 99.5k to 100k with the first part Short BTC again with the second part anywhere from 102.7k to 103.5k to add to your position. Then wait. Within 48 hours you'll be in profit. Your leverage should not exceed 5X. |
Godwins4:If you can research the cheapest and most produced agricultural produce in your state of residence then send me a message. I'll try to find buyers in my own state while you handle the sourcing, logistics and transportation You and every other person will get paid once the goods is delivered. And a bank guarantee will be provided to allay any fears but prevent you or anyone else in the chain from becoming dubious. If you can do manual labor work, farm or manage a farm then you should start looking for large land to farm next season. You can also gather some funds and buy block moulder and start following people who mould block to mix for them while learning to mould as well. You can make minimum of 5000-7000 if you mix or mould 10 bags a day. You'll need to travel to a fast developing area where people are building regularly for this... With money you save from this you can buy other instruments used in block setting and start learning masonry or how to set blocks...from there you can graduate into being a building engineer, mapping foundations and taking buildings to roofing levels. Ocerall this option will allow you to see little funds to feed yourself and pay your rent while learning the work. There are many other options that you can try but I don't know your passion or your strengths. If you'd like to schedule a zoom call where we can discuss about your situation and possible solutions you can let me know and I'll find time to set up the zoom call. I wish you all the best |
saydfact:Thank you. The entrance porch is 12ft by 8ft. The roof height is 10ft and the dimension of the floor plan is in feet (33ft by 44.4ft). Two carpenters gave very different quotations of wood needed for the roofing. Carpenter A quoted: 3x4 - 35 2x4 - 250 2x3 - 250 2x2 - 300 Carpenter B quoted: 3x4 - 15 2x4 - 80 2x3 - 90 2x2 - 130 All in pieces. Now I don't know about the competence or sincerity of any of them but just looking for honest quote that will get the job done properly so I can start planning my finances towards it. |
saydfact:It's a simple plan like the one below with longspan aluminium roof 0.55mm...but the back of the building will be gable to allow for future development. The floor plan is below as well. I want to know the woodwork estimate and the roofing proper estimate in terms of quantity of materials to buy as well as workmanship cost. |
olukaygold:Thank you. It's a 3 bedroom flat... Judging by your suggestion, it'll cost almost or more than 2 million for only woodwork on this building? |

OneCandleAway:No need to state the grade... Just outline your experience and what you're very good at doing. |
Taiwo20:You didn't answer the main part of my questions. Your response is very generic. I can't tell your experience or what exactly you can do from your response. |
Tell me your level of education and the skills that you have and tell me what you are very good at and can do very well. Don't hype yourself. Just be honest. youngestland:Dont the government ever offer these bonds in USD? Like 80% of my asset is liquid and in USD and losing value too fast cos of inflation in America. Is there no sure way to buy bonds in USD and earn this good interests, though the fund is not large....it's small but i trust USD more than NGN and I want it to grow instead of sitting idle in a bank that may crash at anytime. |
![]() |
bfn1:I have very low risk appetite. My preference is very safe USD denominated bonds cos I assume only bonds are usd denominated and I assume they're the safest. I don't really know and I'm open to learning please |
Akerewe:I checked their terms and it's been so for more than 3 years, that is why I'm worried and that is why I made the original post. I'm just tired of holding funds in a Nigerin bank that if it collapses tomorrow NDIC coverage is very small. If not for the uncertainty that has been created around crypto it seems it would have been better to get usdt and invest in any of the Savings products of centralised exchanges since the returns come in daily and you can terminate at anytime without harsh penalties. |
Akerewe:Yes, it's deducted from the earnings. I don't think it is right though. Even if you leave it for 6 months and there's emergency need to terminate it the bank will deduct 80% of interest earned |
Please I need investment advice. I'm kinda stuck investing my USD funds with my bank in like a fixed deposit at 6% with very heavy penalty (80%) if terminated prematurely. Please I need better alternative as I don't know any and how to go about it. This is my life saving so I'm kinda cautious so I don't lose it. The failure of Heritage bank and the abysmal NDIC coverage is making me have second thoughts about holding my investment in any Nigerian bank. Is the amount I have too small to invest directly in USD denominated bonds? If no, please how can I get started? Please help copy other knowledgeable people here to guide me.

You are a very evil person. I'd love to see you argue that members of the legislature, the president and the vice president, state governors and their deputies and all other elected officials earn not more that 250,000 naira monthly, all benefits inclusive. Since you are so concerned about inflation, it will help to reduce inflation. again, your heart is evil |
lamboloosta:What is the purpose of the loan? |
Guys please be careful and take a step back from the overdose of FOMOPININ medicine. April is going to be a bearish month for BTC and it could lead to further downside in may before any consolidation and reversal. . I know it's not a popular opinion but trust me, I saw this pattern back in 2021 and I spent almost 3 years hodling, not to talk about the ones that later crashed and disappeared like LUNA and SERUM et al. Look at the monthly chart and you'll see that it's very red... Those quick recovery you see are short traders taking profit and then bearish traders opening long position which they close quickly once they see a small gain as they're using heavy leverage, causing price to start trending downwards again to go liquidate longs. So, take your profit now and wait to buy back at a good discount. Don't fomo in. Cheers |
