peruxie:Yes you can personally send a webform with your medical information and a prompt to update your medical, that should get your medical updated and showing as passed. Since your application is still within stipulated processing time, be patient regarding asking for a decision. Hopefully you'll hear from them soon. If your application goes beyond the number of processing weeks advised, then you can start sending them emails and webforms. |
oyibo4real:Look at the section titled ASSESSMENT, it should be on page 2, it should have Eligibility, criminality, etc subsections. You need to take a screenshot. After typing your post, under submit is attachment, click choose file, then choose the intended screenshot, to upload and submit the post. If there is a note on your gcms it'll be on the last page. You can screenshot and upload the same way I described above. More importantly blurr any personal information or identification numbers on the note. If you can't figure out how to attach screenshot, then type out the note assuming there is any and type out the Assessment section too. The gurus will explain the meaning. Hope it helps |
lentomac:It is not based on daily hours, it is weekly. For example, you can work an 8 hour shift on Monday and 10 hour shift on Saturday one week. The next week you can choose to work 4days of 5hours. As long as you don't exceed 20hours per week. Ideally, you don't want to work too much at the detriment of your studies. |
Anon123:Study permit allows you to work, should you choose to. If you can afford your school fees and living expenses without working, you do not have to work. Recxa is right, working more than 20 hours a week would be against the rules, choosing not to work is not breaking the rules. Many students have study permits without working, it all depends on how deep your pocket is. |
bale98:If you are looking for new appliances compare prices at Argos, ao.com and appliance direct. If you are happy with used appliances, gumtree is great. I buy a lot of appliances from gumtree and the prices are reasonable, although I still get them PAT tested by law, for what I need them for, you won't need to since it's domestic use only. Stick with good brands, they will last you years, all the appliances that I bought over the last 5years are still working. You'll find something within your budget and a short distance. Some even advertise appliances to pick up for free, as they just want to get rid often for a new project. Anyvan man website is ideal if the appliance is bulky and needing uplift. Also local charities often have appliances at very good prices, although they are currently closed due to lockdown. |

Have you factored in upkeep funds required for POF too in your calculations too. Believe me I feel your frustration with the wait, but you've come this far. Don't be discouraged with the wait, good things don't come easily sometimes. Giving up hope now means forfeiting your 5000cad deposit. What if you get approved after paying deposit to a UK uni. Don't lose the UK admissions, I would suggest deferring, that way you have a back up plan. |
Olafunds200:Honestly, the ball is in your court and it's your personal decision to make. I will encourage you to make it based on your long term plans for your family. You need to consider factors such as your length of study and ofcouse overall tuition in Canada and UK. Also, if you are working towards PR in Canada/ILR in UK, research thoroughly before deciding. The route to PR in Canada is faster than the route to ILR in the UK. After your studies, you will be issued with a 2yrs Post study work permit in the UK, you still need to apply to switch to another category in other to start working towards ILR. Depends on how much patience you have. Look at the overall picture, the funds involved and the route to permanent residency if you wish. Have you paid any deposit to the school in Canada, will they refund you if you withdraw. If you have the funds and don't want to put your eggs in one basket, your husband could apply to UK or let him defer to allow you get a decision. It must be emotionally exhausting to be waiting since October, but know that you are not alone, there are other October applicants on this platform still awaiting decision too. Hopefully it won't be long, keep being positive. Personally, I would exhaust Canadian study permit first before trying the UK, except studying is your only plan for your family, in which case I will say choose UK as it's a less exhausting process compared to Canada. I hope I have given you factors to consider and not raised more questions than I have answered. I wish you all the best. |
Evergeen22:Yes, it could bounce back if IRCC doesnt collect the payment within a specific time frame. Suprised IRCC didn't use the same authorisation to claim the funds again, if it bounced the first time. Most importantly, I'm glad you've been able to make the payment. Now you pray, looks like the decision on your application is about to be made, it shouldn't take too long now. Wishing you all the best |
Evergeen22:It means that the person who paid on your behalf has requested a refund of the payment from their bank. When banks do, they recover the payment from the payee, in this case IRCC. I am assumung the person who paid on your behalf is based in a first world country. Therefore, before IRCC can complete the processing of your application, you need to pay for the service. Try speaking to whosoever paid on your behalf first, but believe me chargeback has to be actively requested,.so they must know about it. You may need to cut your loses and look for another way to pay IRCC using tbe link on the email, if you believe the email to be genuine. |
Queenmama03:Are you asking about universities conducting interviews before offering admission or IRCC conducting visa interviews for study permits? |
Krissy01:If you can prove beyond reasonable doubt that it was an honest mistake, then you should to reapply atleast to clear your name. The ban will also affect you in applications to US, UK, Australia and New Zealand, as they all share information. Misrepresentation damaged your credibility. Also, if you did not state that you used an agent in your initial application, in the relevant section, it'll be difficult to pin the blame on the agent. I sincerely hope you get it resolved and all the best in your next application |
Krissy01:I'm sorry but your agent is right, you have been banned for 5years. The first correspondence dated October 2020 was an initial warning that should misrepresentation be found, you would be banned. The letter dated February 2021 is a confirmation of it, letting you know they have completed their findings and you have been banned for the reason stated in the letter. Please, find a way to remove or blur your name in the picture above, it should be confidential information. All the best |
In my personal opinion, if you are looking to re-apply soon, i would advice you to write a cover letter on your MIL's behalf explaining to the visa officer what she does. I would suggest adding her bank statement. My mum was denied visiting visa back in 2013, she forgot to submit her bank statement, that said she is employed as a teacher. She applied within a month of the refusal with a cover letter, she was invited for an interview and her visa was approved. She barely had 50k in the statement of account she submitted, since we were sponsoring it didn't matter. Your MIL's bank statement would show her economic ties, it shows how comfortable she is. Without a full financial overview in the form of bank statements, the visa officer is filling in the blanks, assuming she isn't comfortable in Nigeria and may be a flight risk. You need to tackle the unemployment aspect too. She is unemployed but mention that she oversees a church in a voluntary unpaid role, which is the fact. State that however church members who are all aware she is not paid for her selfless service to the church sometimes transfer funds into her account as a token of their appreciation. If she has church leaflets and posters, add them. It shows she has something to go back to, its not unusual to say someone else will look after the church in her absence. I'm thinking out loud here, I take it the church doesn't have an account? That could be proof of church's existence. Also, the amounts you stated that she lives off is too small, although I don't know the cost of things in Nigeria, but from what I here everyday, it is way too little. If its actually that small, you need to explain. evenda: |

It is quite interesting how education is different across the four nations (due to devolved powers). My son was born in mid July 2013, he is 7 and currently in P3. My friend's son born in mid January 2014 is also in P3. In Scotland 1st of March 2013 - 28th February 2014 is P3 and 1st of March 2014 - 28th February 2015 is P2 P1 is basically 4.5 to 5.5 year old. We also have P7 in primary school which England doesn't have. Parents of kids born after September can request for them to start the following year if you don't think they are ready for school. jesudaughter:Credit score is there to prove that you can borrow money and pay back. No matter how much funds of your own you have, if you don't take on debt no matter how little, your credit rating will not rise as there is no record/history from lenders on your ability to owe and pay back. There are several websites and apps such as clearscore, credit karma that can help you keep an eye on your credit score they also give you free advice on how to build it and what not to do. It takes time, a year does not provide enough financial snapshort. |
You have nothing to lose by having both your names on council tax bill. It means you are both liable for it. It can be used for proof that you both stay together to support other documents. tushqueen: |
