As per settlement in court, he wont win unless his neighbor is installing on the fence he built. The neighbors could build their parallel fence, and install. It is their property.

The only illegal thing is to energize the electric fence without a warning sign. Also warning signs must be placed at most every 10m of fence line, at the access gate to the property, at the fence corners and the fence min height from ground level on both sides is 1.5m.

Lastly, an electric fence operates like a tazer gun police or women carry for the protection. It will subdue you for some seconds but will not kill. It cant be illegal and no court will prohibit it when installation is up to regulation.

Personally, if my neighbor has it, the only reason i will get tazed is if i intentionally touch it. I have razor wire on my fence for several years, how many times did the wire cut me?

Besides, the person argueing probably doesnot know that the system isnt a direct AC current connection which would definitely kill. Electric fence is a pulsed low current high voltage electric device that shocks you (not fatally) for a second or less. Our instinct is designed to withdraw from it and being pulsed it gives you the opportunity to withdraw unlike direct AC current that isnt pulsed. You will stick to that direct AC current but not with this system. Its just like touching a hot object.

Please house, is there any law/regulations guiding the use of electric wire fence in residential area? My concern: I witnessed some people arguing whether it is appropriate to use it in the neighbourhood or not. In fact, a guy swore that he will never allow his neighbours to install it or else, they will settle it in court I have always planned to use it in my house. Kindly share your thoughts. Thanks

Ii is far better that do logging .

Running 2x2 woods on roof beam is the trend now by most carpenters. It might save you a token but it's not safe for POP works. Follow your POP man's advice. Do a proper noggin for your POP ceiling irrespective if you are using PRECAST or PLASTERBOARD. Safety before budget please.

I guess the carpenter was being Mischevious by asking you just hand 2x2 instead of doing his Job.

Please I am at a crossroad with respect to a decision on POP. The carpenter that roofed the building advised that 2*2 planks should be arranged on the roof beam and that was what we did. Now my POP man is saying that we should run jogging before we do the job. Is itcompulsory to run nogging before POP or which is better. Thanks
